Match 1: Dalis la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Marcela vs La Seductora, Tiffany, Zeuxis
Arena Mexico, 02/07/2012

  1. tecnicas

  2. rudas
  3. tecnicas

Winner: técnicas (2-1)
Match Time: 14:15
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Rodolfo. Tiffany has the reddest red outfit of all time, including new red hair. In a Zeuxis Fashion Update, she's got a new black tank top and many new tights? Still the purple sneakers.

1: Pairs are Tiffany/Marcela, Seductora/Dalis, and Zeuxis/Goya Kong. Ayumi's pending return gets it's own graphic and picture! Poor Zeuxis offers Goya a handshake, Goya short clotheslines her, and it's all down from there. Zeuxis does flip out of a wheelbarrow move and slap Goya, but then Goya drops Zeuxis on her head in an inverted powerslam! That's not good. Fall ends right after, though Dalis takes a bit long to get to her hold.

2: Zeuxis starts off right away with Marcela and is slow at first but manages to take Marcela's usual offense. Tiffany catches Dalis on a roll and kicks her in the head, which starts the beatdown. Tiffany kicks Goya to a stop, to set up a Seductora is all the way to the mat. Triple faceslam for Dalis. Seductora holds Marcela up for the Zeuxis front cradle, and Marcela is grabbing her midsection all the way out of the ring. Rudas charge Goya in the corner, set her on the top rope and tosses her off. Zeuxis drags her in position, then goes up – Zeuxis Press (moonsault tornillo senton) this time, which looks harsh. Other women get submissions, but Rodolfo doesn't even count them.

3: Zeuxis wallops Goya with punches in the corner for a while. Marcela distracts Zeuxis, and Tiffany slaps around Goya instead. Triple boot, and the rudas roll Goya out. Rudas attempt to whip Marcela into Zeuxis' missile dropkick, but Seductora takes it instead. Tiffany is away from the action, so Marcela has nothing to do but stomp the two people who are down. Dalis charges Tiffany, Tiffany just shows her down, and Dalis rolls out. Goya gives Tiffany a slow quebradora and goes for the splash, but Zeuxis cuts her of with a running shove. Are they going to show the Ayumi and Devitt plugs three times a match? (As it turns out: Yes.) Marcela stops Goya with a pump handle side backbreaker, but the rudas break up her hold. Other técnicos miss dropkicks on other rudas. Rudas whipped into each other, star is on, and Marcela pulls Zeuxis into the tapatía in the middle of it. That's it.

Match 2: Fuego, Metro, Sangre Azteca vs Misterioso Jr., Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
Arena Mexico, 02/07/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 15:42
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Terror Chino.

1: Okumura and Sangre have extended mat section to start. Namajague starts with Fuego, and seems very comfortable in the suit and is theatrical in his actions, almost to a cartoon level. Announcers very unsure how to pronounce his name. Fuego has new trunks. Namajague is doing fine until Fuego puts him in armbar and tags in Metro, who immediately gutwrench slams him. Namajague rolls away, grabbing his head. Namajague does managed to escape a takedown with an armdrag, takes a (misaligned) dropkick from Metro, avoids a second, and gets tripped by Sangre running the ropes. Misterioso rushes in and dropkicks Metro before he can get up while Sangre knocks Namajague around on the floor. Misterioso whips Metro to the técnicos, Sangre grabs hold, Metro swings at Sangre thinking he's fighting him, Sangre avoids as Fuego comes in with a springboard headscissors on Misterioso. Misterioso out, Metro after with a tope. Técnicos beat rudos, though that half involves Fuego getting taken down so he can surprise Okumura with a small package.

2: Técnicos continue taking turns destroying the rudos. After Metro goes thru the other two guys (including a belly to belly on the ramp for Misterioso), Namajague comes in and shows off a triple kip up to a spin, to an eye poke. Too bad for him that the gets immediately dropkicked in the corner, and crushed by the Metro back body press. Namajague rolls and shakes on the floor. Fuego is last, landing a nice springboard plancha in his run on Okumura. Fuego holds Namajague in a time killing hold, Misterioso sheds Sangre Azteca snd breaks that up, then whips his new teammate into a dropkick on Sangre. Infernal stretch on Metro to finish him, standing powerslam to take care of Fuego.

3: Rudo beatdown doesn’t go long, because everyone these else has. Sangre Azteca quickly sidesteps a corner whip, sends rudos into each other and setting up his low blow dropkick. Fuego dropkick the new guy up, slowly gets up, and topes Okumura. Metro monkey flips Misterioso just as Sangre steps out of the way, gives him a quebradora, sets him up and Sangre lands a low blow missile dropkick. Sangre waits to count until Metro has German suplexed Namajague – welcome to CMLL! - and covers for three.

Match 3: Virus vs Loco Max
Arena Mexico, 02/07/2012

  1. Loco Max crooked figure four (3:50)

  2. Virus armtrap pin (1:37)
  3. DQ Loco Max (7:08)

Winner: Virus (2-1)
Match Time: 12:35
Rating: ok
Notes: Ref is Pompin.

1: Virus on Loco with clotheslines. Early pin does not work. Virus kicks Loco down, and goes a move while we're looking at the matchup graphic. That only gets 2, so we'll never see what it was. That's okay. Virus chops Loco, who's not having a good opening minute. He opts to slide out on a whip, slides back in when Virus follows, and run the Pequeño maestro directly into the post. Loco yells at the ref, then goes out for Virus. Punch in the aisle, and rammed back into the post. Virus walks around the ring, recovering, rolling in before Virus makes it back in. Loco gets behind Virus, and starts mashing his head into the buckle one two NO. Loco Max dropkick to the knee (I think) one two NO. Loco argues the count. Corner whip, Loco charges in, corner clothesline, yell to the crowd, and picking up Virus’ legs to kick questionably low. Cover for two. Loco fireman's drop, and he's going up. Loco goes up top, splash, one two NO! That was close, and Loco is more than a bit frustrated. Whip, spinebuster, crooked figure four. Virus is in trouble, and gives. Loco takes his time letting go.

2: Virus is up on the ramp for some reason, so Loco runs him all the way back and throws him thru the ropes. Loco taunts the referee for daring to count him out. He can count too! Snap mare, head bite. Loco running kick to the head. Kneeling choke. Whip, reversed, Virus kneeling clip, off the ropes, seated dropkick misses. Virus armdrag, armdrag, rolld around into the arm trap pin one two three.

3: Virus is slapping around Loco on the outside before the fall starts. Virus drags Loco back in by his hair. Loco thrown chest first into the ropes. Virus cradles, one two Loc hand on the ropes. Turnbuckle smashes – top the top one, but Loco falls, so Virus takes him to the middle, to the bottom, and then straight on the mat. Virus is fired up, but Pompin wants him to stop screwing around. Loco fires back with shots to Virus’ side, and Virus decks him with a left. Pompin explains closed first are illegal. Virus does not care in the least. Seated armbar on one arm. Seated armbar on the other arm. Armbar and half crab. Loco won't give up, yet. Whip, Virus with a low blow knee lift. At least that's what it looked like to me and Loco Max, but not to Pompin. One two NO. Virus wants a quicker count. Locos stands him up and slaps him towards the corner. Virus pulls Loc by the hair and bites him in the head. Punches to the head. I think we have to pretend Loco is bleeding now. Virus knocks Loco in the corner. Corner whip, reversed, Loco hammers Virus in the side of the with a clothesline. Corner whip, reversed, Loco gets a boot up, goes up to – no, Virus just puts him off to the floor. Fans move, but so does Loco. Virus steps out to the apron, and Loco rushes to clip him off there. Loco back in – pescado connects. Loco makes it back in first. Loco suplex, holding on, suplex again, both down, one two both up. Crowd not into this. Loco strips up Virus and goes for the figure for, but Virus kicks him away. Virus armdrags Loco to set up the arm strap cradle – and gets it! One two NO. Now what? Virus inside cradle one two NO. Virus misses a dropkick, Loco casadora, Virus rolls it back one two NO. Virus side cradle, one two NO. Both down and looking gassed. Crowd whistling a bit. Chop fight, Virus winning with the his surprise punch. Loco looks out. Virus walks around then rolls him over one two hand on the bottom rope. Virus clothesline Loco, one two no. Virus clothesline Loco Max, one two NO. Virus misses a clothesline, Loco tries a clothesline, Virus catches it, spins him, and Loco fouls Virus. DQ. Crowd not happy.

Dragon Lee knee injury video package! Why is he wearing a State Champions t-shirt? Why are they showing minis in between the Dragon Lee/doctor footage? One never knows.

Match 4: Hijo del Fantasma, Máximo, Super Porky vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Psicosis
Arena Mexico, 02/07/2012

  1. técnicos

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-0)
Match Time: 8:21
Rating: ok
Notes: Ref is Bestia Negra.

1: Porky entertains himself by trying to lay on the middle rope. The middle rope survives. He does it again, and Olímpico dropkicks Porky out of the ring to start the beatdown. Rudos get a lot of offense. Cuije gets in the big splash on Máximo, and then the rudos pull Máximo's legs apart for fun. Triple boot for Fantasma. Porky side steps a corner charge, clotheslines Psicosis and Olímpico, and gets knocks down by Alebrije. Fantasma lands the Phantom Lariat on Kraneo, a hard target to miss. Máximo headscissors Olímpico, teases a tope, and does a plancha off the apron instead. Técnicos wrap it up, Fantasma pulling out a new hold (for him, anyway.)

2: Showcases for Porky, Fantasma and Máximo in that order. Lots of good bumbling by the rudos, with Mije being of no help to anyone and being crushed by his big friend. Máximo gets in the least, and is really just set up for Porky’s corner sit. Olímpico bails on that, but that's so the other two can roll out and take Fantasma’s plancha, then Porky's plancha to knock down the pile. Olímpico and Máximo in, Olímpico resists the kiss, yells at Máximo, and Máximo fakes a foul. Bestia Negro probably should've saw it, but it doesn't matter.

Bobby Bonales video package.

Match 5: Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Rush vs Pólvora, Rey Escorpion, Último Guerrero
Arena Mexico, 02/07/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:20
Rating: ok
Notes: Enteracnes, allowing us to sort of see Ultimo Guerrero cheap shot Atlantis before the whistle. Referee is Pompin.

1: When Pólvora and Rush face off, there are no winners. Or people who get cheered. They get the long mat wrestling open, which is not the best use of anyone's time; the best part is the post standoff shoving. UG comes in to face Marco, so Marco leaps over Atlantis to let him. Atlantis wings, misses, and the beatdown starts right there. That's what Marco gets for being helpful! Pólvora get to hit Marco a lot. They put up the Replay graphic for another shot of Marco taking the Guerreros sit, and then just never take it down when they're back to live footage. It scarcely matters. Rey Escorpion's quebrada, preceded by a double suplex, is as ugly as ever.

2: Atlantis takes the senton de la muerte. Everyone gets a turn before Marco does his leapfrog-rific comeback, directly leading to the win.

3: Escorpion works over Rush in the corner, Rush hits him hard back. Escorpion has a lot more affect than Pólvora, who Rush just shrugs off and chops away. Double stomp on the floor there, even. UG runs from Atlantis, but Atlantis goes thru the other two quickly. UG cheap shots Atlantis before can find him. Marco in, stone punch for UG. One for Pólvora. Escorpion chops, no effect, and Rush lifts him for Marco’s dropkick. Marco out with a tope con giro on both lesser rudos, and Marco does his plancha onto all three. UG runs into the Atlantida but rolls out the back. Atlantida Casadora cradle one two three? Well, no one kicks out, but Pompin stops counting, then they move, then Pompin counts again, one, no. Atlantis wants to know what happened there. So do I! So does everyone. Atlantis and UG talk it over, for a second. Whip, Atlantis barely gets UG up but holds him there for the Atlanitda. This time it’s over, for sure.
