Match 1: Pequeño Halcón, Shockercito, Último Dragoncito © vs Mercurio, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Warrior
Arena Mexico, 01/17/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:34
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Pompin. If Mercurio is going to forever wear a white shirt, he needs to put some design on it or something.

1: Pairs are Dragoncito/Mercurio, Shockercito/Nitro, an odd bit of Halcon/Nitro, then Halcón/Warrior. Of note, Mercurio manages to take a big rolling bump out of the ring at the end of his exchange (because that's how he goes), Nitro surprised Shockercito by headscissors him right away, and Halcón looks like Astral to me this week. Halcón ends up sliding and laying on the apron for no good reason. Warrior spins him around, and pulls him off into a backcracker. That's a good spot if they can get a decent setup. Other rudos get submission, and Warrior dances in between them. Announcers start plugging the Coliseo show after the first fall has stopped, and then get around to showing highlights.

2: Fall starts with Shockercito and Mercurio extended armdrags. Mercurio offers a handshake, Shockercito clotheslines him, and the rudos jump the técnicos to start the beatdown then. Toss into Mercurio's superkick bit goes well. Shockercito stands on the bottom rope to take the corner charges. Corner charges for Halcón include a Nitro jumping leg lariat. Dragoncito side steps corner charges to star the comeback. Rudos miss charges, Dragoncito uses Mercurio to set up a headscissors on Nitro, Shocker and Mercurio stumble thru something, reset, and finish it with a sunset flip. Other técnicos race to get their submissions, Dragoncito clearly faster and better.

3: Halcón looks good in with Nitro. Shockercito gets the best of Mercurio, but Warrior watches him miss a dropkick and give shim the running powerbomb into the corner. Warrior covers for one, then gets up to bark at the crowd. Everyone else hurries in, rudos taking it. That ended

Match 2: Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Skándalo
Arena Mexico, 01/17/2012

  1. Tuareg

  2. Cancerbero
  3. Tuareg

Winner: Tuareg
Match Time: 16:07
Rating: ok
Notes: Announcers pick the rudos to win this match. Referee is Bestia Negra. Odd day for Arkangel to wear a red/black mask.

1: Cancerbero and Arkangel start, though Arkangel is quickly having a discussion with Virus or attempting to kick his hands off the ropes, and Loco is in yelling at Cancerbero. Everyone's settled back down. Cancerbero and Arkangel have an even mat battle until Arkangel is armdragged near the Cancebrero corner, and Raziel gives him a poke from the apron. Loco max again runs in, wanting to hit anyone, but he's sent back to his corner. Cancerbero and Arkangel resume, Arkangel landing an elbow drop when Cancerbero drops down too soon. Cancerbero hiptosses Arkangel, Arkangel blocks it the next time and drops him with a clothesline. Toe hold leaves Arkangel close enough to tag Skandalo, but the ref disallows it – Skándalo wasn't close enough to the corner. Arkangel just gets up and makes the tag anyway. That was odd. Skándalo and Raziel in, Skándalo using Raziel's mask to throw him down on a twist of strength. Raziel is too quick for him on the mat, armdragging him out of the ring. Virus and Loco max in, Loco very exited for this. Handshake offered by Loco and accepted by Virus. Virus holds onto a legscissors while Loco twist his upper body around back and forth. Virus rides Loco's back before a quick zero count. Both up, and Loco Max shows good takedown defense (by backing away.) Virus waistlock takes down Loco, cartwheels (!) snap mares Loco and puts on a seated surfboard. Tuareg rush into break it up. Cancerberos hurry in as well, but the Tuareg get the better of the brawl. Arkangel's hanging in the ropes clothesline doesn't work quite as well with Cancerbero. Tuareg clear out everyone but Raziel, and Arkangel slingshot in for an elbow drop. One two Tuareg let go and shove Raziel out. Cancerbero is crotched coming in. Corner charges for him, Skándalo low blow dropkick. Virus in as Cancerbero hurriedly rolls out, slapping down Virus but being caught by the other two. Arkangel stops him with a headbutt. Spinebuster, seated dropkick by Loco, one two three.

2: Tuareg beatdown offense is built around Skándalo standing in the corner and kicking people for a while. Low blow dropkick to Cancebrero, knocking him to the ramp. Cancerbero is not the most graceful técnico. Loco gives Virus the low blow corner kick, but only after walking to the opposite corner and waking back. This match is going a Tuareg pace, and not a Cancerbero pace. Arkangel low blow sort of second rope elbow drop, though Arkangel just lands on his feet and leans down a bit to deliver the blow. Virus slides out on a corner charge, headbutts Arkangel down, and baits Loco and Arkangel into clothesline Skandalo. Other Cancebreros dropkick other Tuareg. Skandalo's held for a Virus dropkick. Loco tied up in the ropes for the triple dropkick (some of the dropkick might have actually hit.) Cancerbero rolling elbow drop on Arkangel, Raziel tilt-a-whirl splash one two three. Bucanero is happy the rudos won.

3: Cancerbero use their usual double teams, setting up each other for moves. This goes well for about two minutes, but Loco ducks a double chop and Virus is knocked down. Skandalo and Arkangel rush in to take out Raziel and Cancerbero. Virus is able to out maneuver them for a second, but they pull it together for a dropkick to the knee, rolling neck snap, dropkick to the face combo. Loco puts virus in a camel clutch while the other two taunt, but the Cancebros pull them out. Those four battle, Loco snakes in a heel kick foul on Virus, ref turns to count three.

Match 3: Ángel de Oro, Super Porky ©, Valiente vs Misterioso Jr. ©, Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis
Arena Mexico, 01/17/2012

  1. rudos

  2. tecnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 16:42
Rating: eh
Notes: Ref is Terror Chino.

1: Pairs are Angel de Oro/Okumura, Valiente/Vangelis, Porky/Misterioso. Porky comedy leads to everyone taking out each other. Rudos hold the ring and slow it down into a beatdown. Everyone gets a turn before Valiente is tossed to Vangelis for his finish. They all work together to finish Angel de Oro.

2: Fight degenerates into brawling for a bit. Porky stops selling so he can get people to chant at Misterioso. Tecnicos all get another turn, then porky ducks a clothesline and belly bumps everyone to start the comeback. Rudos mange to pull him out, and Misterioso does his “farther, farther!” bit, being yanked out by Valiente for an Angel de Oro moonsault. The other for finish. Valiente wins on just a normal dropkick to the knee, though Vangelis does flip on it.

3: Showcases go Valiente, Angel de Oro, Porky. Angel de Oro is ever the touch slow on a double rotation headscissors, and people boo. These people are tough! Porky goes thru everyone, Valiente comes back in only to be missile dropkicked out by Okumura, and Okumura bangs his head on the apron on a slingshot tope con giro. Got caught in the ropes on the way over. He's in quite a bit of pain, still down when Vangelis is expecting him to be up to help catch Porky's apron dive. Angel de Oro finishes Misterioso for the win.

Match 4: La Sombra, Máscara Dorada, Rush vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Arena Mexico, 01/17/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 16:03
Rating: ok
Notes: Dorada is wearing the Lyger half mask to the ring. Avernos enter together. Ref is Tiger Hispano.

1: Averno stalls for a while. He and Sombra have an even opening exchange, then the rudos rush the técnicos and hold them down for a while. They're much less active than usual, very content to take chokes and such where they can. Holding and hitting until the finish.

2: Mascara Dorada manages to turn over and land on his back when Mephisto tosses him in air. Which works out good, since Mephisto isn't interested in kicking him. Sombra spits at Averno, and is held for a while for the kick in response. Rush ducks a double clothesline and dropkicks Averno out. Mascara Dorada and Sombra springboard armdrag the other two, and follow out with a tope con giros. Averno back in, and Rush finishes him.

3: Mascara Dorada run includes a spinning headscissors into a spinning armdrag. Everyone runs very hard when they're taking Rush's belly to belly suplex. Sombra is in with Averno & Mephisto just long enough for them to bumble and be sent out different ways. Sombra's tope con giro is really easy, though Averno almost moves up too close to catch it. Rush teases dive, then waits for Dorada to come in – Rush tope, Dorada running pescado. Back to Averno and Sombra, for a sunset flip that's held long enough for everyone to get sunset flips. Técnicos all get cradles for another set of two counts. Averno sneaks in a foul on Sombra. The other two rudos land their finishes clean, and that's the match.
