Match 1: Diamante, Fuego, Sangre Azteca © vs Euforia, Shigeo Okumura, Virus ©
Arena Mexico, 12/23/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:30
Rating: bleh
Notes: Referee is Rodolfo. In the intro, JCR gave big introductions to four of these guys, and then just didn't bother with Sangre and Fuego. About right.

1: Okumura & Fuego put in a couple minutes of mat work. Virus & Diamante do the same, then Diamante annoys Virus by asking for a high test of strength. Virus shoves him down and puts him in various knee and ankle submissions. Announcers discussing Rayos vs Bala/Halcón. Felino is taking the Rayos. Sangre Azteca shows off his offense against Euforia, making it thru three whole moves without low blowing anyone. Virus sees Euforia roll out after a dropkick, clips Sangre Azteca on a his dive charge, and knocks the other técnicos off the apron. Okumura contributes with a missile dropkick for Snare, sending him rolling out. Triple team on Diamante sets up Euforia's rolling bodyscissors submission, that still needs a name. Virus submits Fuego to end it.

2: Generic beatdown. Diamante ducks a double clothesline, sunset flips Virus, then rolls him back in time to take a Fuego running springboard dropkick. Tough timing spot, they did okay. Okumura misses a senton to take himself out, and técnicos hold up Euforia for the low blow dropkick. They held him a bit farther than what Sangre wanted. Fuego puts on his new hold – lot of those going around – and Diamante sets up Okumura for another low blow to end it.

3: Fuego front handstands for fun, than Euforia does the biggest wipeout possible on Fuego's back bend clothesline escape. Felino wants it clear that Panther did not beat him. Okumura accidentally dropkicks Euforia on a sunset flip, but gets rid of Fuego with a good quebradora con giro and a iffy clothesline over the top 9which takes Euforia some effort to get over). Diamante cuts off Okumrua's dive (belatedly) with a dropkick, then springboard headscissors and dropkicks him out. Virus and Diamante have a quick back and forth, Diamante surprising Virus by hopping up quick after being knocked down, but Virus surprising Diamante by shoving him off the ropes and too the floor on his four bounce headscissors. Sangre in, Sangre blowing a headscissors. They pull it together and Sangre dropkicks Virus out, but Euforia clips Sangre as he goes up for his dive. Euforia covers, Sangre kicks out at two. Euforia catches Sangre going for his wheel kick, but has no better idea than to sit him back down. Sangre shoves Euforia into back elbows from the other técnicos, who rush over and knocks the rudos off the apron. Diamante holds the legs, Fuego helps Sangre to the ropes, and Sangre adds the low blow dropkick. Euforia rolls out, and Diamante gets him with a fast tope con giro. Fuego holds Okumura in a submission long enough for Virus to dropkick it up. Virus armdrag Sangre around, but Sangre lifts him up on his shoulders, and drops him with an electric chair suplex. Fuego comes from far on the other side to land a springboard splash, and that's three.

Match 2: Hijo del Fantasma, Super Porky ©, Valiente vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible ©, Tiger
Arena Mexico, 12/23/2011

  1. TRT

  2. técnicos`
  3. TRT

Winner: TRT
Match Time: 13:53
Rating: ok
Notes: Porky Claus is joined by Monito. Porky taking off his shirt and dancing with it looks so weird in the Santa Claus outfit. Nuevo TRT come out as a group, though it looks like Tiger can't get a video with his shortened name. Comandante is with the rudos. Ref is Babe Richard.

1: Felino is not a fan of these rudos. Tiger, who faces off with Valiente, is wearing the new TRT shirt (with Tiger in place of Texano.) Terrible bails Tiger out of a Valiente hold, and Valiente’s chases Terrible until he begs off. Valiente and Tiger resume, Valiente gets a wristlock this time, and Rey backs off. Rey also apologizes while leaving, so I guess that’s why Valiente doesn’t chase him. His partners protest to the referee. Oh, now he's going after Bucanero, who begs off. Try #3 is back and forth for a moment, Valiente gets a leg lock, and that's the end of that. Rudos break it up and start the beatdown. Triple powerbomb for Valiente, and set up for Tiger's dropkick. Corner clothesline and corner flying sit for Fantasma. Porky slapped around, takedown, and held for the two man legdrop, which actually might work better with Tiger. That's it.

2: Giant swing/dropkick for Valiente. Crowd chants for Porky as he comes in to be beat. Porky moves out of the way of a corner charge, waves all the rudos in, smashes them, then his partner whip him in for the big sit. Rey and Tigre move out of the way of the next big sit, but Porky stops short and whips his backside in Terrible's face. Fantasma tope to Tigre, Valiente tope to Rey, Porky sit on Terrible for the win.

3: Porky moves from comedy spot to comedy spot, kind of hurried. Bucanero gets to take Valiente's monkey flips – including one to the floor, because Bucanero is still crazy. Terrible tries to bully Valiente, takes a headscissors out. Fantasma quickly takes care of Tiger. Bucanero rushes him and pounds him, distracts himself with the referee, and takes three straight quebradoras. Terrible dropkicks Fantasma and cackles, Fantasma escapes a corner charge and clotheslines, and walks backwards so Comandante can grab him. Huh. Terrible sings and gets his second, of course. Jumping enziguri sends Terrible out. Time to wrap this up? No, Tiger and Porky try sumo first. This goes poorly for Tiger, though Bucanero encourages him to keep trying. Crowd way behind Porky. After the second time, Terrible just dropkicks Porky. Porky rolls out, Bucanero flips Tigre into a pescado on to him. Other rudos try headlocks on the técnicos but are shoved off into each other. Técnicos charge, but the rudos toss them into each other, then Tiger and Porky come back in so everyone can get submitted.

Felino wishes his son luck.
