Match 1: Hombre Bala Jr., Sensei, Super Halcon Jr. © vs Inquisidor ©, Rayo Tapatío I, Rayo Tapatío II
Arena Mexico, 12/25/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:15
Rating: build up
Notes: Rudos have jumped the técnicos. Rodolfo is referee.

1: Sensei & Inquisidor vanish next to the ring, while the Tapatios beat up the Gen11 guys in the ring. Inquisidor wanders in to help hold the técnicos down so their masks can be untied. Big backdrop for Halcón. Halcón rolls out. Front row fan is so concerned, he poses next to hurt técnico as a friend takes his picture. Corner charges for Bala. Sensei held on his head for a dropkick. Slaps and more kicks. Sensei reverses an Insquidior whip, lands a springboard kick, and holds him in a submission. Other four in, and Rayos quickly pull the técnicos masks for the DQ.

Rudos waver thru arguing over the call, posing with the masks, and stomping the rudos.

2: Técnicos get their masks back – but they don't get the right masks back. Bala wears Halcon's mask, Halcón wears Bala's mask, fall is a bit extra confusing. Rudos set to ripping them up this time. Bala is held on the top rope, and dropkicked out to the ramp. Double flapjack into Inquisidor's boots for Sensei. Rudos rip up Bala's mask. Bala spun on around on the middle rope, clotheslined down hard, and double dropkicked in the backside. Bala kicked in the face some. Bala and Halcón whipped into each other, and Sensei's brought into be hit too. Inquisidor low blow dropkick on Bala. No great hurry here. Corner whip for Halcón, corner back elbows for him. Bala back in, fighting, but sent towards Halcón. Halcón flips him to safety, kicks one Tapatío away, Bala top rope sunset flip – totally whiffs. I don't even know if that was the plan or not, though the Rayo moved like it was. Sensei comes in with pump kicks for two of the rudos, but Inquisidor kicks him off the ropes when going for a spinebuster. Those two end up on the floor. Rayos hold the young técnicos in tree of woes and stomp them. Técnicos give up, in such a way it’s clear what’s coming. Rodolfo puts a count on both, rudos pay no mind, and that's an excessive violence DQ. If it wasn't going to be that, it would've been a mask pull DQ, as they're off again.

Rayos yell on the microphone, the announcers talk over it to narrate the replays.

Match 2: Negro Casas ©, Pólvora, Volador Jr. vs Dragon Lee, La Máscara ©, Valiente
Arena Mexico, 12/25/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:02
Rating: mixed
Notes: Ref is Tigre Hispano. Joined with Mascara & Volador already facing off in the ring...

1: and Volador bails, so Negro can take over. Mascara gets the slightest hit of a casadora, and Volador rushes into kick him. Mascara steps out to have a word with Volador, but Pólvora blocks that off. Mascara starts on a leg hold, Volador rushes in a kicks him in the face, then peacefully stands on the apron. Mascara checks his face. Mascara ducks under Negro's clothesline and rolling dropkicks Volador off the apron, then chases him straight into the front row. The other rudos attack Mascara from behind, and that starts the beatdown. Técnicos stomped down and beaten without much trouble. Volador kills Dragon Lee on the legdrop and is totally in the ropes on the pin.

2: Dragon Lee takes a Pólvora second rope dropkick. Triple boot on Valiente is well done. Dragon Lee takes a double hiptoss out of the ring to the ramp, rolling thru it safely. Double backdrop on Mascara is too quick – Máscara kicks Pólvora, Negro slaps him down, Valiente gets Negro with a flying armdrag, Volador kicks him, Dragon Lee flies in with a running front flip into a headscissors, which looks great. Volador out, Mascara after him with a tope. Dragon Lee knees Pólvora, fireman's slams him, and lands the shooting star press. Well, lands his knee in Pólvora's face too. Valiente submits Negro.

3: This fall also feels joined in progress. Mascara has a rooting section. Pólvora tastes the power of the rolling dropkick. Negro kicks Mascara around, but then take a kick to the backside and to the face. Not the same kick. Volador and Máscara a face off gets a big reaction. They both take off their shirts for the chest slap fight, Volador tells Máscara to take out it outside, then kicks Máscara when he tries to come back in. Volador is the smartest. Volador running kick misses, Swing kick knocks Volador down, top rope headscissors sends Volador out, Máscara chases, Volador misses the clothesline and takes a quebradora. Negro wins the slap battle with Valiente by pointing at the crowd and kicking him. Round two is won by Volador ducking under them, then flipping into a armdrag to send Negro out. Valiente sends Volador into the corner via monkey flip, then sends him almost into the opposite corner. Double springboard headscissors sends Pólvora out, Valiente looking really good. Negro is not impressed by Dragon Lee or his kicks. Marital arts pose off! Negro slaps him in the face, knocking him down. Negro does a martial arts pose, and they face off again – Dragon Lee blocks a punch, and karate chops Negro in the side of the face! Standoff again. Negro ducks on the third, gets in a shot to the chest and knee to the midsection. Dragon Lee back with a side kicks, knocking Negro down. Headscissors sends Negro out. Volador flipping run, Dragon Lee flipping run, Dragon lee walk up the ropes – oh no he slipped. Landed on his feet, looked like dope. Volador grabs him and whips him, Dragon Lee back with a bad headscissors, clearly thrown by the screwed up. Pólvora rushes in and clotheslines Dragon Lee down. Corner whip, corner charge, Pólvora spears the post on the way out. Dragon Lee and Negro fight it out, with Dragon Lee dropkicking Negro out. Valiente comes in for his dive, but Dragon Lee has to go first – tope con giro onto Negro. Valiente special – goes wrong when Valiente doesn’t get high enough on the second springboard, slips backwards, grabs the top rope with both arms, and swings down to hit the apron on the way down. It looks really bad at full speed, and not as bad slowed down. He did a superb job of getting control of himself after things start going wrong. Pólvora carefully stomps Valiente on the floor. Máscara and Volador left in, though people are more concerned with Valiente. Máscara get the campana, Volador squirms out, under a clothesline superkick, Mascara staggered, Volador poses, backcracker. One two three. Not the reaction you'd expect for Volador winning, because the crowd is otherwise occupied.

Dragon Lee is also hurt and laying right next to Valiente, but is pulled away a bit and sat up. There was no obvious way where Dragon Lee was hurt on the dive (and so it's possible he wasn't, but was selling and checking on Valiente.) Stretcher is quickly out for Valiente. Replays. No time to go to the match.

Match 3: Marco Corleone vs Mr. NieblaSuper PorkyMr. ÁguilaRush, TerribleRey BucaneroHijo del FantasmaMetroOlímpico for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship and in a Number One Contenders Match match
Arena Mexico, 12/25/2011

  1. Metro German suplex Olímpico (4:48)

  2. Buca Storm on Fantasma (7:43)
  3. Super Porky sit Mr. Aguila (10:31)
  4. Nieblina on Metro (10:55)
  5. Terrible splash Super Porky (12:12)
  6. Rush top rope double stomp Rey Bucanero (12:48)
  7. Marco Corleone Air Italiano Mr. Niebla (14:21)
  8. Terrible counter dropkick Marco Corleone (17:13)

Winner: Terrible & Rush
Match Time: 17:13
Rating: fine for what this was
Notes: Sides are técnicos – Marco, Porky, Rush, Fantasma, Metro – versus rudos – Niebla, Aguila, Terrible, Bucanero and Metro. Ref in the ring is Maya.

Crowd chants for Niebla. Niebla sexually assaults a ring post. Bucanero and Fantasma are the first two in. JCR runs down a list of former champions: Cien Caras, Rayo de Jalisco, Black Magic, Silver King, Apolo Dantes, Steele, Universo 2000. People not mentioned: Konnan (duh), Porky (in this match, so he'll get to it), Mr. Niebla (ditto), Dos Caras Jr., Ultimo Guerrero and Hector Garza (duh). This list is as important as whatever it is Fantasma and Bucanero are doing, though Bucanero's back mounted sleeper is a fine effort. Fantasma throws Bucanero off his shoulders, and the técnicos just sort of drag Bucanero out and beat him up! That seems unfair. Rudos Rush over to help, but Marco holds them all off for a while. Terrible slips by while Marco is busy punching Niebla, but everyone kicks him for a bit. Mr. Niebla (in his homeless Santa Claus outfit) drops his pants for no particular reason – he's wearing trunks underneath, thankfully.

One things finally get settled, it's Mr. Aguila vs Super Porky. They both show off their jumping kicks. One is slightly better. JCR brings up Porky's title reigns and Aguila being national champ. Porky flattens Aguila with his gut. Niebla in and slapping Porky, so Aguila just leaves. Niebla spits at Porky, Rush comes in and shoves him. Boos. Rush stands on the middle rope to soak in the boos, and Niebla stokes the Niebla chants. Clothesline don’t' budge them. Slaps to the face do not. Niebla kicks Rush low, which budges Rush if not he ref. Rush ducks a clothesline, slips a bit, and superkicks Rush. Niebla stomped out of the ring, and Rush decides he going to fight all the rudos at once. This does not work! Rush shove rush on top of the front row. Técnicos run over to pull them off.

Metro & Olímpico back in when they restart, moving a bit after then the previous pairs. Zero covers get us nowhere. Olímpico back elbows Metro, clotheslines Metro, misses on another one, waistlock lift, German suplex, one two three. Thanks for coming.

Terrible and Fantasma in after replays. Terrible flips Fantasma to the apron, swing kicks Terrible back, runs up the ramp, runs back down – Phantom Lariat connects one – Bucanero breaks it up, pulling Fantasma off the pin and pounding him in the back of the head. That seems vaguely illegal. Bucanero taunt. Running clothesline misses, Fantasma quebradora, and a second, and a third. Just as JCR is reminding us Rey beat Fantasma in route to winning his title, Niebla is in and slapping Fantasma about. Fantasma brutalized in the corner. Niebla dance. Spit is caught! Good catch there. Fantasma headscissors Niebla out. Don't dive! He's going to dive! TOEP! It connects, but Terrible rushes it over and slaps Fantasma down. Had to see that one coming. Marco walks in and intimated Bucanero to backing down. Terrible just flees.

Aguila and Rush in, shoving. Fans content to boo for Rush and not cheer for Aguila. Rush dropkick Aguila and kicks him around the mat. Punches, knees, chops. Whip, reversed, evasion, Rush overhead belly to belly suplex. One two NO. Dropkick sends Rush out, and Aguila follows with a pose. Fantasma and Bucanero in, pulling off a double duck down spot before Bucanero blocks a casadora into the Buca Storm. That's it.

Bucanero celebrates, taunts the técnicos, and gets the first appearance of Marco Corleone. Bucanero slaps and ducks, but Marco catches on after the third one and knocks him out with a blow to the head. Terrible on Rush with stomps and screaming. Clip.

Metro and Niebla in, Metro sending Niebla half the ring with a monkey flip. Back the other way with another. Niebla kicks Metro. Whip, now slowly reversed, no stop and try again, okay now it's to the corner. That was not professional. Niebla misses a corner charge and spears the post. Metro charge, Niebla takes him down. Niebla reaches down to grab Niebla, but Metro rolls out. Niebla rolls the length of the ring back to this corner to escape. I don't know. Break.

Mr. Aguila and Super Porky again. Aguila corner whips Porky, Porky takes a couple steps, stops turns around, and smashes Aguila in the corner. Whip again, Porky runs, moves out of the way of the charges gets kicked on his charge, and Aguila gets backdropped. Porky clothesline misses, Aguila spinning heel kick causes porky to slowly fall down. Aguila eye poke, drop down, Porky slap to the back. Aguila rolls over. Whip, sunset flip, Porky sit – connects. One two three.

Back live, Mr. Niebla takes down Metro and puts him in Nieblina. He's done.

Porky and Terrible. Terrible tries to scare Porky, and gets armdragged. Terrible avoids the hiptoss and slaps Porky hard. Crowd behind Terrible. Slap fight, Terrible slapping Rush in the face to win. Terrible clothesline misses, Rush powerslam, one two NO. Rush northern lights suplex one two NO. Rush kicks Terrible in the ropes, charge, Terrible ducks down and Rush throws himself out. Terrible runs for a dive, and Marco beheads him with a clothesline. One two NO. Marco argues, smiles, and then mocks the count! That was unexpected. Corner whip, reversed, Marco kips up and out, Terrible chop has no effect, and Marco flattens Terrible with one punch. One two NO. Marco is unpaused this time, going out to the apron – oh, there’s the pause – and slowly climbing up. Plancha connects! One two NO. Marco can't believe it. Whip, head down too soon, Terrible kicks him in the head. Corner whip, reversed, Marco charges in, Terrible gets up his boots, Terrible misses a clothesline, springboard clothesline meets counter dropkick, one two three.

Rush is directly in, and he and Terrible are slapping each other. Maya tries to get involved, and they shoves them apart. More refs in, but they keep on fighting. They're eventually slow down, though Rush is still looking for way to get to Terrible.
