Match 1: Freesbee & Robin vs Camorra & Zayco
Arena Mexico, 10/25/2011
técnicos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:46
Rating: eh
Notes: Whoa, look at the empty seats. There may not be a thousand people here right now. Referee is Pompin. C3 gives Freesbee four e's. Announcers have injokes about Freesbee? They are the most obscure possible jokes.
1: Pairs are Camorra/Freesbee, Robin/Zayco. Is Robin's beard new? It makes him look older for sure. Basic mat stuff for matchups, though Robin and Zayco do have some fun battles. That one ends oddly, Zayco flipping Robin over his hip a couple times and then just tagging out before Robin can get up. Robin wants more with Zayco, can't get it, and tags Freesbee back in. Freebsee submits Camorra quickly (and oddly, and the announcers call it a pinfall even though it's clearly not close to one, but CATCHPHRASE) and Robin rolls up Zayco.
2: Freesbee/Zayco is going OK until Freesbee has all sorts of problems on a rebound armdrag. Camorra starts the beatdown on a normal back elbow. Freesbee takes a backdrop. Zayco retrieves Robin for the Zayclone; ref calls the match before Zayco even starts spinning. Replays show a slingshot stomp to the outside. Not much good, but missed by the cameras.
3: Beatdown. Rudos take turns kneedropping Freesbee on the same knee. Robin very reluctant to come in, so the rudos grab a leg and kick him in the thigh. Corner whip, corner charges connect. I'd like to see the rudos just win here without a comeback. Probably won't happen. Sure enough, they corner whip Freesbee right away, and he sidesteps a charge. Things get a big notable from there. Robin monkey flips Zayco, Zayco tries to land on his feet and mostly pulls it off. Freesbee plancha him, Camorra fails to break it up, both técnicos cover, rudos shove them off. Camorra and Robin clear the other two out of the ring, Robin superkicks Camorra out and lands his tope. Zayco clotheslines Freesbee, lifts him on his shou;ders, and gets small packages for three.
Match 2: Metatrón, Sensei, Starman vs Apocalipsis, Bronco, Inquisidor
Arena Mexico, 10/25/2011
técnicos
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 13:21
Rating: eh
Notes: wow, this is a lineup of random people going nowhere. Referee is Bestia Negra.
1: Normal mat/pairs open. Bronco dropkick Starman, to help out Inquisidor, but then gets dropkicked by Inquisidor by mistake. Sensei dives on to him, and the other two técnicos wrap it up.
2: Bronco makes a nice target for Sensei's kicks. Things break down again in this fall, but this time is must go the rudos way. Apocalipsis planchas Starman, and Sensei's lifted up for Inquisidor's springboard frontcracker, which still looks unnatural. Bronco has to go a long way to land his top rope plancha on Metatron, but does.
3: Not a beatdown right away, but it gets there. Bronco slaps Starman down very loudly. Announcers more interested in yelling about Starman than the match. Low blow dropkick, check. Defying many laws of physics, Metatron tosses a charging Bronco behind him on a corner charge. Flying armdrag on Apocalipsis, Sensei pump kick to Inquisidor, Bronco big boot to Sensei, Starman missile dropkick to Bronco. Metatron plancha onto Bronco, which catches him well, and the other for are left in. Técnicos wrap it up easily, with Sensei using something close to a GTS (the kneelift came as close to the face as Punk seems to get) before locking on the cross armbreaker.
Match 3: Ayumi, Estrellita, Luna Mágica vs La Seductora, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit
Arena Mexico, 10/25/2011
rudas
Winner: rudas
Match Time: 10:56
Rating: OK
Notes: Onscreen lineup lists Estrella Mágica. PROFESSIONAL. Ref is Terror Chino.
1: Seductora and Estrellita do armdrags and mat work, which is highly improbable. Estrellita must have much trouble shopping for clothes, she always ends up with ones which are too small for her. Sugheit kicks Ayumi hard, Ayumi comes back with headscissors. Frontcracker to Blanca, and a running double knee in the corner. Blanca rallies back to throw Ayumi around by the hair. Whip, reversed, and Blanca is sent into a Luna flying armdrag. Headscissors sends her out. Sugheit in, armdrags for her too. Quebradora too, but Blanca gets in and dropkick. Luna whipped into a kick, and Blanca rolls up Mágica in a casita for one pin. Submissions on the other two.
2: Terrible's twin now has a TRT shirt. Las Princesa bend Estrellita over and pull up her skirt so all the photographs can get shots, then turn her to face another side of the ring to help those people too. And then Sugheit kicks her hard. Three woman faceslam on Luna. Ayumi escapes her own to cradle Seductora for a surprise pin. She's not the captain, of course, but the others get to their finishes quickly too.
3: Once again, Sugheit gets distracted by the ring card and has to be dragged back to wrok by Blanca. To be fair, Sugheit's work is taking Luna's offense, so no problem. (Luna's actually OK here, but nothing memorable.) Ayumi gets about the same time to headscissors Blanca out. Seductora takes Estrellita out with many knee lifts, then drops her head to take the same headscissors. Estrellita sends Seductora out with a quite bad dropkick, then dives into Seducot'ar counter kcik to the dive. Sugheit is rubbing off on Seductora. Other two técnicos fail against the rudas, who get submission for the win.
Match 4: Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpion, Último Guerrero
Arena Mexico, 10/25/2011
rudos
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:07
Rating: best thing on the show.
Notes: Joined with the rudos having attacked Atlantis already, and the técnicos regrouping outside. Ref is Pompin.
1: Guerreros pose in the ring while the técnicos huddle. The big plan is apparently for Atlantis to charge in after everyone, and for the kids to slowly come in thru another side. No matter, the Guerreros back off anyway. Maya and Escorpion start, with Escorpion working his way to a cross armbreaker but Maya escaping. Armdrags end that. Tags to Delta & Dragon Rojo are in for quick reversals, until Dragon Rojo knocks him own with a back elbow. Delta battles back and wins a chop fight, but then they both stop to look around at the fans. (Of which, there sure are a lot more than the opener.) tags to the captains. UG quickly slide out Atlantis, Atlantis gives chase, and Escorpion cheap shots him from behind. Guerrero May hurries over and gets punched too. Beatdown by the rudos. UG chops Atlantis into the fans. Rudos separate the técnicos and stomp them down. Delta tossed into Dragon Rojo's missile dropkick, which is still an odd spot but connects well here. Corner clotheslines for Maya, then UG drops Maya in the middle of the ring for Escorpion's quebrada. Double suplex for Atlantis, and a Dragon Rojo top rope splash for three. Guerreros do their pose, though they don't show it on TV.
2: Low blow dropkick on Delta. Senton de la Muerte on Maya. Atlantis chopped around, but sidesteps a corner charge to start the comeback. Dropkick, headscissors, quebradora. Delta and Atlantis go for Dragon Rojo and Atlantis mask. Dragon Rojo's get's pretty well untied before they give up. They stop long enough for the kids to get their holds. Atlantis knocks UG outside and stomps him around ringside as his partners get their arms raised.
3: May goes thru the rudos first. He' has a great fight with Dragon Rojo, though Dragon Rojo is ab it goofy at selling. Double knee sends him out. UG jumps in, Maya matador waves him to Atlantis, and UG rolls thru the ropes to get away. Atlantis chases him, and they all end up near the entrance before they calm down. Delta ends up in instead, clotheslined down on his head by Escorpion. Delta evasion run, back with a headscissors, and flattened by a Dragon Rojo dropkick. Dragon Rojo taunts Atlantis in, then decides he doesn’t actually want to do that. Whip, Delta slide out, Dragon Rojo slide out after him, Delta comes back in forth is slow roll over the ropes into a headscissors. Delta comes back in, UG tries to get him, Atlantis charges UG and UG bails again. UG finally convinced to fight, and crowd is excited for this. Atlantis roll quickly sends UG up and over he top rope and out, but Atlantis puts off his dive. Other four in. Double clothesline on Delta falls, boosted dropkick sends Dragon out. Escorpion spears the post on the way out, and técnicos land nicely timed double topes. Captains in, UG tries the toss → behind the back foul, but Atlantis lands too far away. UG charge into the Atlantida, but rolls down the back for a cradle, one scissors of the bottom rope two three.
Match 5: Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano vs Héctor Garza, La Máscara, Super Porky
Arena Mexico, 10/25/2011
rudos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:51
Rating: eh
Notes: Ref is Tigre Hispano
1: Mascara is having a good run against the rudos, sending Bucanero out via headscissors and sliding after him. Mascara's sent on the apron, but superkicks Texano, kicks away Bucanero and waits on the apron for – no one seems quite sure. Bucanero rushes him and pulls him off. Double team there. Garza and Porky very briefly get the best of Terrible, but Texano rushes into start the beatdown proper. Máscara is sent head first into the announce desk. Bucanero's got to say hi to his friends. Rudos in no hurry, but finish off Mascara as captain for the finish. Bucanero drops on Porky with a pescado for no particular reason. Terrible and Texano lift up Porky, and Bucanero helps steer him as a battering ram into the post. The post survives.
2: Beatdown continues with big boots and such. Máscara sidesteps a charge to start the superkick-rific comeback. Terrible is the sucker who tries a sunset flip on Porky, and Máscara boinks his partner on the head to set up the pin.
3: Garza is very confused – Terrible is in the ring, but he's also in the crowd! Referee alerts him to the real one. You won't believe it, but there's a spot where Garza puts a stop sign and takes off his pants. And then one when he takes off his shirt. Mascara gets in his spots, next, building to Porky. That's mostly just slaps leading to his apron dive. Other four all in, técnicos get surprise roll ups. Tiger Hispano counted everything right, but the técnicos are angry with his count after the match.
