Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors #2x4 (10/22/2011)
Recapped: 10/22/11

Previously, RJ Brewer lost his hair. Eventually. Also, a masked man interrupts match repeatedly – but this is an unknown masked man. More unknown masked man.

Kevin and Romero show off the tag belts and recap last week.

Rebecca talks to RJ Brewer and Lizzy Valentine Carter about last week. RJ is covering his head with a bandana. Mango cheated, check. Illegal friends, double check. Hiding behind masks, triple check. RJ & Lizzy show us their cabinet of collected masks - where the Super Nova mask has been replaced by a pink wig. RJ & Lizzy are sure it was Nova & Magno stealing things, as they do. Rebecca laughs, so the Right turns on Rebecca - “a skank who got drunk and married one” - and throws out an open challenge, Magno vs A Member of The Right

Match 1: Petey Williams vs Charly Malice
Hard Rock Casino, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 01/22/2011

Winner: Petey Williams
Match Time: 7:14
Rating: eh
Notes: Petey is now from Scottsdale. I can see evil people living there. There is no way Charlie Malice weighs 235 pounds. Fake crowd noise is fake. Let Us Go Back to Chary Malice being eliminated in the heavyweight title match, thanks to a Destroyer from Petey Williams. Are they going to ring a bell to start this? No? No.

Battling armbars, Charlie turns it into a cradle for two, Petey for two, standoff. Malice standoff, Petey yells back. Charly back with a shoulderblock, Petey misses a clothesline, Charlie with a plancha for two. Springboard twisting forearms for two. Charlie up and chopping. Charlie's pants still don't fit. Chop. Charlie: “When you look at the horrific conditions Charlie Malice grew up in, and the depths of despair which he was able to pull himself out, and bring him to a respectable life here” - well... Anyway, corner whip, Petey kip up s up and Charlie springboard inverted plancha gets caught by a Petey dropkick. Knee drops, Charlie head first into the corner. Double chop. Chop. Choke on the ropes. Petey off the ropes, dropkick to the back. NERVE PINCH. Charlie up and elbowing. Petey throws Charlie down by hair, then picks Charlie's finger out of his fingers. Charlie's hair is going. Corner whip, corner clothesline. Forearms. Of the ropes, Charlie armbar, forward roll into a cradle, back and around - “3/4 nelson!” - sounds good to me, for two. Petey clothesline misses, Charlie headscissors sends Petey out. Charlie wastes little time – tope! WWE rules means it's time for a break.

Seems like we've missed all of five seconds during that four minute break. Lizzy and RJ are on the way to the ring, with the pink wig. Petey back in, RJ grabs Charlie's leg as he comes in, Charlie break free and yells at him, then grabs Petey in a heel kick into a casadora cradle one two NO. Charlie with a kick, suplex, Petey slips behind, run to the ropes, Charlie back elbows him off, Petey gets free with a headscissors into a Russian legsweep, cradle, one two NO. Petey cradle flatliner, one two NO. A Charlie chant, and it seems non-fictional even. Petey calls for the Destroyer, but Charlie fights back with his trademark jabs. Off the ropes, casadora, cradle, out in to malicious intent. Petey is stuck in the center of the ring, but crawls, and gets to the ropes. Charlie smacks the mat in frustration. Charlie picks a leg, Petey swings and misses, but the enziguri lands. Charlie just kind of stumbles around on his feet, Destroyer set up, Charlie sweeps the legs and sets up El Pozo again, but Lizzy is up on the apron. Ref deals with her, Petey kicks Charlie the other way, RJ neck snap, Charlie stumbles back for the Destroyer. One two there.

Backstage, Mini Park & Pequeño Halloween are arguing, as Rebecca stands in the middle. She's had time to change her clothes since that interview, huh. Mini Park is mad at Halloween for costing him the big win in that poker game. Pequeño Halloween explains he was trying to protect his wife, but Park says he doesn't care about his wife – just his seven kids. Pequeño Halloween is still convinced Mini Park is after his wife. They agree to finish this once and for all.

AND MINIS BOWLING. Dorada, Octagoncito, and one of Dorada's ladies are also here. Lose interrupts of the rules include Park spinning around with two balls at once., and dropping a ball on his feet. Pequeño Halloween apparently looses, because he pays up Mini Park – who's immediately forced to give over the money to Tigersa Caliente for (Rosetta's) alimony. Poor Mini Park.

Announcers recap that bit and say Magno's accepted the challenge - the match is next.

Got Blood? Vignette.

Match 2: Magno vs ???
Hard Rock Casino, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 01/22/2011

Winner: Magno
Match Time: 4:12
Rating: ok debut
Notes: Magno enters first. The Right come to the stage, to show off their new camouflage vests. RJ's surprised Magno accepted, but he should've read the contract. RJ introduces their bodyguard and new members – Firewall Jon Rekon. “I have never seen a man that large in my life!” You and me may know him as Strong Man. Chain is ripped! Announcers are sure Magno is about to die.

Ring is bathed in red light, but they go back to normal lights by the time they finally lockup. Lockup, Magno thrown down. Rekon lads up, charges, and runs into a back elbow. Magno out to the apron, shoulder to the midsection, swing kick, Jon still not down. Kick to the leg, kick to the leg, off the ropes, Rekon shoulderblock. Off the ropes, elbow drop, no one home. Magno off the ropes, dropkick to the chest, one big kickout. Mango back to leg kicks. Off the ropes, dropkick to the knee, and Jon dropped to his knees. Magno fire dup. Magno grabs the leg, but Jon kicks him away, and far away. Choke on the ropes. “Look at his shoulders – how do you know if he's shrugging them or not?” Choke on the ropes. Punch to the gut, punch to the face. Corner whip, down goes Magno. Magno tries punches, but Jon isn't feeling them. Magno thrown in the corner. Punch to the gut. Chop. This has only been about three minutes, but it's felt like a long three minutes. Punch. Scoop, slam. One foot pin, one no. Mango kicks from the mat, Magno more leg kicks, forearms, rallying, off the ropes, clothesline is ducked, handspring – into a clothesline from Jon Rekon. Kick to the gut, over the shoulders lift, and Samoan drop, standing on his m pin, one two three.

The Right encourages Rekon to take Manos' mask off. He goes for it, and Rocky Romero and Super Nova rush out with punches. Rekon clothesline misses, double dropkick by the técnicos. Rocky whipped in with a corner clothesline, Super Nova charge sin – to a Rekon kick. RJ clothesline, Rocky punish him, but the numbers catch up to him. Romero tossed out of the ring. Lizzy comes in the ring to pose with her man.

Magno's helped out by his friends before some replays of the last match.

Announcers take us back to last week, when Shane Helms debuted. Red sure is a popular color on this show – the Right, Treachery, and Marco/Shane are all wearing it as their main color.

Tag title match is NEXT.

Rebecca is in the ring with the belts. How did she find time to change clothes again?

Match 3: Oriental & Tinieblas Jr. vs PR Flyer & San Juan Kid and Rellik & Sydistiko for the Lucha Libre USA Tag Team Championship
Hard Rock Casino, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 01/22/2011

Winner: Tinieblas & Oriental
Match Time: 7:23
Rating: good
Notes: Rudoisimo enters first. Lizmark, his cape, and his cape holders, enter with the rest of Treachery. He's got a chair, but does not appear to have his belt. Lizmark takes a seat near the entrance ramp. Writing notes – blue mask and kick pads is San Juan Kid, got it. One fall to a finish, you can tag in any member of any team at any time.

Sydistiko wants a handshake from Flyer, then slaps Flyer with his other hand. Many forearms to the back by Sydistiko before he stops to pose. Stomp. Armbar, Corner whip, Flyer flips tot he apron, forearm from there, swing thru the ropes for a trip, slingshot roll in, back elbow misses, Flyer push off headscissors. Corner whip, Sydistiko kips up and escapes, PR Flyer kicks him as he charges back, and SJK in with a plancha. PR Flyer on the middle rope, SJ Kid jumps there as well, stereo springboard dropkicks. PR Powers pose, turn, and get double clotheslined by Rellik. Rellik watches them roll out, but Oriental turns him around. Rellik swing misses, Oriental dropkicks him to the knee , dropkick to chest, sleeper on the back – no, Rellik throws him off. Tinieblas in for his partner, kick, chops, Corner whip, reversed, headscissors sends Rellik to the corner. Oriental on Tinieblas' shoulders, and off on Oriental with a spinning DDT. That was fun. One two Sydistiko break is it up. Forearm for Oriental. Whip, quick reversed, Oriental with blows to the head, heel kick, off the ropes, Sydistiko inverted atomic drop. Oriental back up, and Sydistiko headscissors him. Tinieblas spins Sydistiko around, inverted faceslam, one two Rellik breaks it up. Corner whip, clothesline misses, back elbow misses, Tinieblas kicks Rellik’s head, Tinieblas out off the ropes, Rellik superkick – and superkick for Oriental too. Both PR Powers up on the apron, both of them in with springboard dropkicks on both members of Treachery. Crowd is so loud. Lizmark up with his chair – but Marco Corleone and Shane Helms run out to stop him. Stone left hand punch, Helms grabs one end of the cape, Marco spins him around and Lizmark is trapped in his own cape. Shane and Marco pick up Lizmark and walk him out of the arena.

Treachery now has the better of the PR Powers. Back to a replay of Lizmark being carted off. SJK is evasive enough to lead both Sydistiko and Rellik into the same corner. PR Flyer boosted into a double 'rana – maybe not so believable, but the crowd enjoys it. Treachery quickly turns the table – Stunner on SJK, to take him off the apron, and PR Flyer is clipped on a clothesline. Rellik covers, but Tinieblas and Oriental are back, Oriental stomping Sydisitiko out of the ring and Tinieblas breaking up the pin. It's breaking down, Kevin notes. Corner whip, whip, Oriental kicks Rellik in the midsection, Tinieblas running clothesline while Oriental chops the back of the leg. One two NO. Sydistiko scoops lands slams Oriental, slingshot legdrop, slingshot leg drop, slingshot legdrop. One two SJK breaks it up. Shot to a celebrating Sydistiko. Corner whip, revered, SJK corner moonsault. Rellik catches him, spins him – and down goes the ref. SJK breaks free and sends Rellik off to the post, but we have no rest. Masked Man #1 (I guess) is back, throwing powder in Rellik's face and going for a chair on the ring. Chair to the ring post is camera shot to try and make it look like it hits Rellik in the head. Not so much, but we'll pretend. Sydistiko out with a tornillo pescado on Masked Man, and Oriental goes on both of them with a tope rope moonsault. Anyone else? PR Flyer fires up, waits for people to get back up, and dives thru the ropes for a tope con giro on the growing pile. SJK ready for a debut runs right into a Tinieblas quebradora con giro. Ref still down. Tinieblas clotheslines misses, SJK kick, running Tornado DDT. SJK running shooting star press (Romero: “moonsault” - not another one of you) One two NO. Ref is getting back up, SJK going up – and Masked Man #2 turns up to clip SJK off the top rope. Tinieblas pump kick, kneeling tirabuzón, Oriental keeps PR flyer from getting back in, and SJK gives.

Rudoismo celebrate big with their belts.

Next week: the Right declare war.
