Previously: Lizmark's portrait did not end well. Super Nova was unmasked. Magno made a challenge.
In the Treachery dressing room, Lizmark Jr. is being fitted for a cape. He explains to Rellik and Sydistiko that he'll have capes made for them if they win the tag team titles. What a great man! They'll be shorter than Lizmark's, though.
Match 1: Oriental & Tinieblas Jr. vs PR Flyer & San Juan Kid
Hard Rock Casino, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 01/22/2011
Winner: Oriental & Tinieblas Jr
Match Time: 5:38
Rating: good
Notes: New ring announcer? New ring announcer. Announcers carefully and slowly to us that this is young vs old. Amazing how everyone in the front row has a mask. Crowd noise is very fake sounding this week. Tinieblas' “T” robe is pretty great, I can not deny. Oriental is actually the shortest guy in this match. I would not have guessed. Rudisimo face off with the PR Powers, then start shoving each other. Both off the ropes, stop short, into a hug. PR Power are confused, which is a great time to punch and kick them down. Rudisimo is very proud of themselves and pose. PR Powers after them with forearms. Rudos back with chops to send them into the ropes. Off the ropes, Kid pulls down the ropes and out goes Oriental as PR kick Tinieblas. Both técnicos with kicks, Tiniebals charge, rope goes down, and out goes Tinieblas. Técnicos rush – tope con giro, one over the ropes, one thru the ropes. PR Powers celebrate in the ring. Rudos regroup on the outside as PR Powers dance around the ring. SJK jumps to the apron, and Oriental pulls him off to drop him by the chin. Oriental whips him into the barrier. Back in, pin for two. Tag for Tinieblas. Whip, double back elbow. Whip, Tinieblas clotheslines back, spinebuster, legs pulled apart, kick to the chest, kick to the back at the same time. Rudos working well together. PR Flyer tries to come in, and is sent right back out. Tinieblas spinebuster on SJK. Giant swing dropkick bit. Oriental stops to pose, then Tinieblas covers, one two no. Break.
SJK gets Tinieblas with an engizuri, but he makes a tag to Oriental. Enziguri to Oriental, tag to Flyer. Clothesline, clothesline, flying forearm. Tinieblas in, PR Flyer ducks a clothesline and lands a jumping knee. Announcers have gone silent. Corner whip, reversed, PR Flyer corner headscissors to sends Tinieblas rolling. PR Flyer does a flying pose, I guess, and Oriental knocks him down before so the rudos can do the pose instead. Corner whip, PR Flyer jump up corner moonsault, one two Tinieblas breaks it up. Tinieblas was just kind of waiting for two there, though Oriental kicked out anyway. SJK back in, Tinieblas kicks him in to the ropes, stops to count one more, charge, and throws himself out of the ring. SJK Asai tornillo. Oriental and PR Flyer in, forearming. Also in – Mysterious Black Robed Guy. Oriental and PR Flyer both go after him, and Oriental throw him out, but Mysterious Black Robed Guy #2 (???) runs in and kicks PR Flyer down. That one's “SL” on the back of his robe. Oriental Oklahoma roll (called wrong, who cares) one two three. Oriental is baffled, but Tinieblas is happy with the win.
Black Robbed guys walk off together, which Kevin Kelly is shocked by. Replay of the angle.
Backstage, Rebecca Reyes tires to chase down other robed guys, but they run out of the building and jump into a car before they get there. They did leave the robe behind – Rebecca notes the letter “SL”
RJ and Petey Williams admire the Super Nova mask they stole. When they're done, they're going to have all the masks. They know Super Nova has multiple masks, right? RJ mentions “Lizzy” being proud; I have to go dig around to check if that's the name of his girlfriend from last season (nope!)
Match 2: Marco Corleone vs Sydistiko
Hard Rock Casino, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 01/22/2011
Winner: Marco Corleone (DQ)
Match Time: 5:47
Rating: good for what it needed to be
Notes: Sydistiko is now from Seattle. It's almost like it's a new guy or something. Marco is using Personal Jesus! Now I know why he's mad at Volador! Replay of Rellik costing Marco the match last week.
Sydistiko waistlock, Marco breaks it. Announcers, randomly: “Lizzy Valiente Carter - the much hotter and younger sister than Brooke Carter. Those are facts!” Well, then. Brooke was RJ's girlfriend last season, that must make for some awkward family meetings. Does this count as an MTV2 crossover? Marco and Sydistiko aren't getting anywhere until Marco flips Sydistiko on a shoulderblock. Sydistiko rolls out and flops around some more. Sydistiko back to the apron, flipping over Marco's back, forearms, chops, whip, reversed, hiptoss. Marco clothesline, scoop, slam, one two NO. Marco grabs Sydistiko, Yd kicks him away. Corner clothesline. Corner whip – blocked, then reverses, Sydistiko evades in the corner, but his springboard planchas is caught, Marco loads him up on the top rope, Sydistiko covers up when Marco goes for the punch, Marco fake sit again, offers a handshake, and shoves Sydistiko over the top rope. Rellik walks to ringside. Marco out to yell at him. Rellik forearms Marco and runs him into the post. Corleone back in, Sydistiko up top. Double stomp (“Mushroom stomp!”) to the back. Cover for two. Choke on the ropes. Running sit on the ropes. One two NO. Marco up to his feet, elbows free, Sydistiko gets in a knee, whip, quick reversed to a Russian legsweep. Both down, and slow up, but rallying for support. Sydistiko’s punch misses, shoulderblock, clothesline, back elbow, whip, big backdrop. Sydistiko retreats to a corner, Marco charge into a kick, Sydistiko middle rope clothesline misses, Marco springboard clothesline connects. Rellik up on the apron, Marco punches him, Lizmark rushes out to take his punch too, Sydistiko charges and he's thrown out. Rudos help Sydistiko up – Marco giant plancha on all three. Marco throws Sydistiko back in. Marco of Excellence – and Rellik and Lizmark are in for the stomp down. That's it, though the referee doesn't get around to calling the DQ. Announcers are bemoaning the 3 on 1. If only there was someone to make – hey, it's Shane Helms. He clears house in a red version of the Hurricane gear. Lizmark brails rather than fight. “One of the popular – one of the most well known...stars in all of the globe”, uh, sure. Hey, ref, you ever going to raise Marco's arm. Helms does it for him. Helms wants to talk, but we have to wait for a break. I can wait.
Replay of the save. Helms: “Hey, Lizmark! I've been watching Masked Warriors for quite some time now. And I know you like to play the numbers game, 2 on 1, 3 on 1, whatever. Well, I'm here now. And I'm here to help my friend, so if it's the number game you want, it's a numbers game you’re going to get. So go ahead and hide behind your little buddies, because your reign as Lucha Libre USA champion is coming to an end.” They still have more people than you, Shane. Oh well, maybe they'll work on that.
Pequeño Halloween is getting a massage. Facial reactions. Rebecca takes over for the masseuse. Halloween is surprised, but Rebecca says she want to make this work and slightly undresses. Halloween is happy. Halloween is less happy when she bolts, remembering she has an interview to do. “I paid for an hour.”
Your announcers are Kevin and Romero. Romero: “Not a happy ending. Definitely a trick and not a treat.” I remember why I didn't like you now.
A mysterious show walks across a room, while “Got Blood” appears. Huh.
Match 3: Magno vs RJ Brewer in a mask vs hair match
Hard Rock Casino, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 01/22/2011
Winner: Magno (eventually)
Match Time: 9:06
Rating: worked
Notes: Lizzy is with RJ here, which is probably why they were scrambling to introduce here. Magno has no friends. RJ charges Mano, Magno ducks the clothesline, armdrag, armdrag, dropkick, Magno has change to take off his cape.
Whip, quebradora for RJ. Magno covers one two NO. Scoop, slam. Magno, rope flip moonsault. One two NO. Magno picks up RJ, but RJ gets in a shot. Stomp. European uppercut. Delayed cover, one two NO. RJ kneelift. Whip, reversed, Magno clothesline misses, backdrop works. This show likes backdrops. Magno clothesline misses, RJ charges, flip to the apron actually sends RJ all the way to the floor, because he gets caught in the ropes. Magno waits for RJ just to get up to the apron, the swing kicks him off. Petey Williams runs to the ring and yells from the apron, but Super Nova is right behind him. Nova punches RJ back to the ramp. They’re going to the back, we're going to the break.
RJ is covering Magno, and Magno kicks out at 2. Replay of Petey and Nova. RJ suplex, one two NO. Magno with punches and kicks, but RJ catches in, and turns into a sharpshooter. Magno pushes up, but he's in the center of the ring. Magno in trouble, teasing a submission, then rolls into a sunset flip on, one two NO. RJ right back on his with punches. Snap mare, knelling surfboard. Magno up to his feet, turning it, but RJ keeps turning and lands a back suplex. One two NO. Cover again, one two NO. Clip? RJ charges Magno in the corner, Magno moves, RJ hits the corner, Mango with a reversed roll up – into a big German suplex. Wow, wasn't expecting that. Both men down. Referee puts on the ten count; wait, you can do that? Too used to people being down for thirty seconds. Magno crawls on top, one two NO. Both punching from knees, kick, Magno clothesline, clothesline, dropkick to the knee, one two NO. Mango to the apron – springboard tornillo one two NO. Magno can't believe it. Magno with punches, shoulderblock, run to the ropes, springboard backflip over, RJ, RJ clothesline turned into a RJ backslide, one two rolls to a setting potion, both stand up, RJ gets in a short clothesline. RJ wants the ref to check Magno – so he can get something passed from Lizzy. Ref goes to get Lizzy off the apron, RJ goes to swing the – clippers? - but the ref spots him and stops it. Ref gets rid of the clippers, which allows Lizzy to pass RJ a chain (how many things does she have?)and land the loaded punch. RJ puts the chain in his trunks, covers one two three.
RJ gets his arm raised, but the referee spots the chain; RJ didn't put all of it his pants. The referee grabs the chain, then talks to the new ring announcers. “I've been told by the ref that this match will continue.” Announcers say this is a great call, but Magno is still down on the mat and not moving much. RJ grabs the referee by the lapel – Magno inside cradle one two NO. RJ stomping Magno and putting him up top. Crowd shot. RJ top rope 'rana, RJ holding on to put on a Boston Crab, Magno pulls out the Ephesto cradle, one two three!
RJ can't believe it. Lizzy begs for no haircut and tries to grab the razor. Mascarita Dorada out, grabbing Lizzy over her shoulders and walking off. RJ watches, then offers Magno a handshake. Magno's not really into that. Brewer makes a gesture and runs off to avoid the hair cut. RJ's meet at the ramp by Rocky Romero, who punches RJ back to the ring. Magno and RJ take turns punching RJ around. Rocky sleeper - “he's got one of the most devastating sleeper holds in the entire world” - really now. RJ goes to sleep. RJ's sat in a chair and Magno goes to work with the razor. RJ and Magno job of making RJ look dumb, and they make it seem like a big deal. “So many times, we see stipulations talked about, and they're never paid off. This is one right here, Lucha Libre USA, stipulation was made, and he was paid off.” RJ is woken up, and Magno pulls in a mask so he can see his bald head. RJ has a tantrum.
RJ yells about the War just begun. Tag team champions next week. That's it.
