Match 1: Delta, Metro ©, Stuka Jr. vs Cancerbero, Misterioso Jr. ©, Virus
Arena Mexico, 09/16/2011
rudos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:53
Rating: good
Notes: Ref is Rodolfo. Monito is with the técnicos. Match doesn't start until six minutes into the show; long entrances.
1: Cancerbero and Stuka start off with an even exchange, tough Stuka oddly throws himself thru the ropes on a missile dropkick to end that bit. Delta takes in for him, quickly gets a Villano roll, and can't get Rodolfo to actually count. The two make up for it by doing many cradles, and Rodolfo has to get down for those. Overhead headscissors sends the big man out, and the small one comes in for reversal and cradles. Delta pretty well handles Virus for a while, but Virus evades charges and kicks him in the side of the face to stop the técnicos. Metro in to take his turn, with a weird spinning front facelock takedown. Metro otherwise looks very smooth. Virus is taken out with a flip to the apron and a superkick. Misterioso in, Misterioso belle to belly suplexed. Misterioso does mange to trip him up, and get a cradle, before going to some usual sunset roll thru spots. Corner whips reversals set up Misterioso off the opt with a twisting tope con giro into Metro – that was unusual out of him. Only a two count. Misterioso dropkicks Metro out and get to roll to a pose. Misterioso lingers towards the técnicos, get into a slap fight with Stuka, and Stuka tries coming in with a springboard moonsault. Misterioso moves, Stuka hits the mat, and Cancerbero dropkicks him out. Delta in and planching Virus, but the other rudos get him. Misterioso gets Virus with a clothesline, but the other rudos get him – it's really going their way this fall. Cancerberos set up a move, but Misterioso sort of steps in their way – to picking him up – Gori Special, hold for Virus and Cancerbero missile dropkick. That's it.
2: Beatdown. Mostly brawling. Corner charges for Stuka, including the Misterioso nose slap. Metro takes corner charges too, but they try twice. Second time, Cancerbero ends up hitting the corner and flying out. Misterioso and Virus get a hold of Metro and whip him to the ropes, but metro leaps over and rolls on the ramp. Rudos are baffled, and dropkicked from behind by Delta. Meanwhile, Metro runs up the ramp and back, for the big dive onto the Cancerbero. He almost landed on his head on that one, he hit Cancerbero and went straight down instead of turning over. Delta moonsault onto Virus on the outside, banging the back of his head on a seat. Stuka dumps Misterioso in the center of the ring and heads up, torpedo splash, one two three.
3: Stuka gets Misterioso sliding out via springboard flipping armdrag, then cartwheels off the apron and goes up and over for an armdrag on the floor. Misterioso's gear is great, I think he has every tassel on the world on there. Virus and Delta chop it out, switch to headscissors, then Virus decides he should go back to chopping. He is correct. Virus hiptosses Delta to the corner – but it's the técnicos corner, and Metro grabs Virus to armdrag himself in. Dropkick sends Virus down in the rudo corner. Cancerbero rushes into clothesline Metro before he can do more, then rolls thru a Delta sunset flip to dropkick him. Rudos dropkick técnicos out. Dives? Cancerbero tope, Virus slides thru and hooks Metro for the ringpost armdrag. Stuka and Misterioso back in. Monito gives Stuka some advice. Thanks for helping. Stuka runs right at Misterioso, Misterioso scoops him up, Gori Special. One two th-NO. Stuka tries a springboard flip into spinning reverse DDT – there's a big hitch in the middle, and it only gets two. Misterioso bizarrely tries a springboard 'rana – this fails, into a powerbomb, but Misterioso gets out at two. Misterioso just needs to get Stuka to put him on the top rope, then he's got him. Instead, Stuka tries to monkey flip Misterioso the floor, but he bounces off the ropes and back in the ring. Stuka runs, Misterioso ducks down, and Stuka goes out. Misterioso hops to the apron – springboard tope con giro. Other four return, rudos evade Metro and bum-rush Delta. Metro superkicks Virus, Cancerbero jumps on Metro's shoulders (!), Metro drops him down and German suplexes him hard. Delta finishes Virus and we are done.
Match 2: Mr. Águila, Último Guerrero ©, Volador Jr. vs Atlantis ©, Héctor Garza, Jushin Lyger
Arena Mexico, 09/16/2011
rudos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:23
Rating: OK
Notes: Mr. Aguila seems to be in a good mood. Evil rudo Volador Jr. is wearing a Mexican futbol national team jersey. He's the best! UG runs in and goes after Atlantis, and we're off. Babe Richard is the ref.
1: brawling beatdown slows down quick. Ultimo Guerrero rips up Atlantis' mask pretty well. Volador entertains himself by whipping Garza with Ultimo Guerrero's kilt. UG may not actually be aware, but he's not so annoyed that he can't still trip Garza in the ropes to set up Volador's guillotine legdrop. Garza is so in the ropes when Volador covers, but no one cares. Veg-o-matic for Lyger, and that's it.
2: Atlantis takes the flying sit. Volador and Babe Richard have a pleasant chat while waiting for Hector Garza to do something. Volador superkicks Garza's head off, to set up the senton de la muerte. Slingshot hold/legdrop for Lyger. Aguila does a bit of posing. Atlantis back in and slapped down. He does manage to duck clotheslines, and spears UG for punches to start the comeback. Lyger beats up Aguila while Volador hides int eh crowd to get away from Garza. Atlantis goes for UG's mask while Babe Richard helpfully tries to distract Babe Richard. That's team work. Everyone settles down for a couple seconds, then Lyger whips Aguila in the corner, lands the rolling koppi kick and brainbusters him. One two three. Garza moonsaults Volador right as Aguila moves out of the way, and we're tied up. Ultimo Guerrero crawls away from Atlantis
After replays, Hector Garza helps grab UG to throw him in, but UG rolls out the other side. Atlantis chases him down and tries to post him, but poor Alexis is standing in the wrong place and gets smashed.
3: Lyger shows off against Aguila, and Garza the same versus Volador. The later one lasts longer, because Lyger isn't the one stripping. UG is finally forced to face Atlantis, which the crowd is excited for, even after UG quickly clotheslines Atlantis. Atlantis comes back with a quebradora con giro and totally rips UG's mask. Chop fight, Atlantis takes UG down and pounds, Guerrero goes for the mask and Atlantis keeps swinging. UG gets to his feet, but Atlantis dropkicks him out. Volador cuts of Atlantis with a superkick, Garza gets him with a plancha Volador superkicks him too. Volador could not be more proud of himself. Frontcracker - is blocked, and Garza tosses him over the top rope. Hector to the middle rope – moonsault to the floor. Both are up quick, and Lyger adds a plancha – but that only gets Garza. Aguila set up for a dive, waits for the técnicos get up, and UG tosses him into a tornillo onto the two técnicos and the other rudo. Atlantis in, UG charges him, Atlantida, UG slips out behind, and fouls him. Not the best foul, but it's enough for the DQ.
Atlantis challenges Ultimo Guerrero to a super libre match for next week. UG calls the crowd names, and accepts the match so he can beat Atlantis in this ring, then grabs Atlantis' mask.
