Match 1: Dragon Lee, Hombre Bala Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Ephesto, Hijo del Signo ©, Rey Escorpion
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 07/26/2011
rudos
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 16:28
Rating: bleh
Notes: Signo is captain? Referees are Signo and Pedro el Millionario (the other guy.)
1: Pairs are Escorpion/Lee, Signo/Bala, Stuka/Ephesto. Crowd is loud, if not actually paying attention to the match. Escorpion cheap shots Stuka from the apron to start the beatdown, and it doesn't last long before Ephesto submits Stuka (and holds on for a while.) Escorpion powerbombs Dragon Lee and Signo submitted Bala after the fact.
2: Rudos still in control. General brawling beatdown, double boots being the extent of the team work. This is what happens when you put teams together by hat. This is actually a good team of rudos, but maybe the first time they've all worked together. Stuka takes the backbreaker/Ephesto legdrop combo. Dragon Lee is pinwheeled into an Ephesto faceslam. They should just keep setting up Ephesto moves. Stuka gets into an argument with Edgar only to be attacked from behind. Triple dropkick spot lead to the técnicos tripping and pulling two of them out, and Stuka quebradora-ing Ephesto. Ephesto still ends up toping him. Signo and Bala in, Signo with a fireman’s drop and a senton con giro...that very clearly does not hit. Great camera work! Escorpion tosses Dragon Lee into 'rana on Escorpion for the other pin. Alternate camera angle only barely hides the Bala miss (but barely is better than what we saw), while Shocker referees to the end of the hurracarrana as “small package” in English. No, it's not.
3: Edecan is not wearing pants. Escorpion and Dragon Lee have a face off. Chops. Off the ropes avoidance, a weird rest, Dragon Lee flips off Escorpion's shoulders, run up the ropes headscissors sends Escorpion cross ring. Escorpion flips Dragon Lee with a clothesline. Whip, clothesline misses, Dragon Lee back with a questionable reverse headscissors, and out goes Escorpion. Stuka and Ephesto slapping it out. Ephesto knocks him down with a shoulderblock, off the ropes, avoidance, and another Ephesto shoulderblock. Whip, reversed, more avoidance, Stuka flipping run, more avoidance, and finally a headscissors. And out Ephesto goes! That was a lot of nothing disguised as something. Escorpion knocks Stuka down from behind and chops him around. Stuka barely clears Escorpion on a leapfrog, but monkey flips him across the ring. Escorpion gets up, kicks him down, and Escorpion takes a huge salida de bandera, barely shown. Stuka slide out after him, but Escorpion begs off. Bala lands a run up the ropes tornillo on Signo, then a springboard reverse tope. Dropkick sends Signo out, but Bala rolls to the ropes and poses. Crowd does not cheer. Exchange of martial arts poses. Dragon Lee kicks and dropkicks but Escorpion will not go down, so Lee boosts Bala into a dropkick. Escorpion out, Dragon Lee springboard shooting star press to the floor! Bala dropkicks out Signo, tope collides into Bala, but we're screen off by fans. Stuka dumps Ephesto into the center of the ring, goes up, waits on the top rope a bit, flying splash eats boots. Ephesto scoops him up, shoulderbreaker, one two three.
Match 2: Felino, Mr. Niebla ©, Negro Casas vs La Sombra ©, Máscara Dorada, Rush
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 07/26/2011
rudos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:09
Rating: OK
Notes: Kid Niebla and Zacarias are with the rudos. Olímpico, wearing a wig for no reason, dances out with his partners. Sombra is wearing camouflage, but I can still see him. Ref is Samurai and Edgar. Did Loco go on vacation?
1: Felino gets his stink all over Mascara Dorada, but still is armdragged out. Olímpico boots Dorada out, and Sombra immediately separates him from his hair with a flying armdrag. Niebla slaps Sombra and almost gets the dance in early, but Rush dropkick him. Rush slides out after Niebla, and gets slapped from three different directions by the rudos. Sombra and Dorada come over to help, but the rudos have this one under control. Brawling beatdown. Sombra cradles Felino for two, lets go for no reason, and then put the cradle back on for two. Huh. Felino tries a third cradle, and finally gets the three. That's it for the fall, but Niebla lands a middle rope senton on Rush (totally on Rush) for another pin.
2: Zacarias does an apron diving headscissors on Dorada for no reason. Well, besides it was a fun idea at the time. Corner charges (and slap) for Sombra. Dorada's mask is untied, and he's clotheslined and thrown out. Rush spits at the rudos and fights back, but the rudos outspit him. Rush side steps the corner charge to start the comeback. Superkick for Olímpico, Felino kicks him down, Sombra headscissors on him, Niebla slaps him down, does the dance, caches the spit, and Dorada takes him out with the floating headscissors. Brillo Dorada looks great, Dorada landing right on his feet. Other four left in, Rush plancha on Felino, Sombra Brillante Bomb on Olímpico, Rush back suplex and double stomp on Felino.
3: Rudos in no hurry to start. Which is fine, because there's a ton of time left. They're still replaying the last fall finish on the big screen. Sombra races thru the rudos, with Niebla accidentally slapping Felino and the two facing off before exchanging a tongue touch. Eww. Zacarias rushes in, takes a Sombra backbreaker and a Rush dropkick. Felino and Rush face off, with Felino doing Porky's shirt wipe dance before throwing the shirt in Rush's face. Fast rope avoidance, until Rush lands the elbow smash. Powerslam for Olímpico, and a kick to the chest. Olímpico complains about a foul and messes with Zacarias. Niebla slaps Rush around, Rush chops Niebla and back. Rush fights off a corner whip repeatedly, and Niebla spits in his face again. Whip, reversed into a short clothesline. Rush kicks and stomps Niebla, Niebla slaps him again, clothesline misses, superkick stops him. Rush dive fake pose, which Felino relentlessly mocks. Dorada in, Felino clotheslining him and dropkicking Dorada in the head. Dorada crawls to a corner , Felino misses the charge, Dorada charges past him for the spinning on the ropes headscissors. Olímpico in, double bounce casadora armdrag to send him out. Niebla in, Dorada knocks the spit out of him twice (where does he get all of it?) and a walk up the ropes turning headscissors. Dorada ducks a double clothesline, slides out, and Sombra plancha Felino and Olímpico, Rush boots Sombra into another dropkick, and those two do a tope con giro and an apron elbow smash. Back to Niebla and Dorada. Dorada fights Niebla off, climbs to the top rope, walks the top rope (!) and jump rolls back in. Niebla is not impressed and climbs up himself – and immediately crotches himself. Dorada lets Niebla fall in position, heads up, tornillo senton, one two three.
