Now on LATV. Maybe they need to update their open a bit. Announcers welcome us to the show.
Match 1: Fuego, Pegasso, Rey Cometa vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Dr. X, Skándalo
Arena Mexico, 05/03/2011
técnicos
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:09
Rating: good if brief
Notes: Cometa & Pegasso enter as a pair, and Tuareg enter as a group. Dr. X has a belt I can't identify, but must be the indy title occasionally has. Cometa and Pegasso are wearing their black outfits and I'm getting them crossed up in my mind a lot.
1: Escorpion joins the announcers to promote his benefit show. He's distracted early on (headset issue?) but gets better. His kid is in the crowd too. Skándalo and Cometa start, Cometa armdragging Skándalo away but refusing Skandalo's handshake and being slapped down for it. Cometa rallies to dropkick him out. Local break.
Match has broken down in the meantime. Fuego wraps up Dr. X with a STF. Announcers think Dr. X is the captain, then realize he must not be when the match keeps going. Arkangel and Skándalo have gotten the better of the other técnicos on the outside. Arkangel arrives back in too late to beak up the hold, but just in time to eat a 'rana. One two three. Fuego is a one man trio.
2: Fuego backdrops Dr. X and goes for his mask. Skándalo argues with a referee while this is going on, but when the referee turns back to Fuego, the Tuareg rush for the save and start the beatdown. Corner charges for Pegasso include a Dr. X low blow dropkick. Rudos untie Fuego's mask, but he rolls under a clothesline and dropkicks Dr. X out. Rudos whip Fuego again, and he turns into a tope on his archenemy. The other four in, Cometa missile dropkick gets Pegasso instead of Skándalo, Skándalo scoops up Cometa for the Skandalo Driver, and Arkangel submits Pegasso.
3: Pegasso takes the triple elbow drop. Everyone takes turns slapping Fuego until he ducks and Dr. X gets knocked out of the ring again. Rudos kick Fuego out, Pegasso planchas both, then leads them into a Cometa missile dropkick. Superkick for Arkangel is sharp, turning tornillo on Skandalo is sharper. Rey Cometa is ON. Pegasso holds Arkangel at bay while Fuego springboard planchas Dr. X. Dr. X gets up, tosses his mask to Fuego, Fuego freaks up, and the ref catches him with it. That's a DQ.
Match 2: Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Metal Blanco Forjando un Idolo tiebreaker match

Match 3: Diamante, Metro, Sangre Azteca © vs Misterioso II ©, Raziel, Virus
Arena Mexico, 05/03/2011
rudos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:01
Rating: OK
Notes: Local break during the introductions is the best time for it. Sangre tries rushing Misterioso, ends up getting suplexed into the ring. Brawl breaks out from there.
1: Rudo beatdown. Virus and Cancerbero are a smooth combo machine on Sangre, before sending him Misterioso away. Misterioso finishes easily while the others are kept out.
2: Beatdown continues over the hour mark. Metro is hung upside down for Virus' dropkick. Diamante tries kicking wildly; this is a not a workable plan. Raziel punishes him with a double underhook backbreaker. Sangre hops in, just in time to be slapped by Virus. Cancerberos stretch around Sangre while Misterioso walks around. Corner whip, Misterioso charge in, Sangre moves, and Misterioso posts himself. Sangre tricks Virus into a dropkicking his partner, and adds the low blow dropkick. Virus whips Sangre, right into a tope on Misterioso. Misterioso in and putting Virus in the shield, while Diamante gets Raziel with a fisherman’s suplex. That's the fall.
3: Diamante gets in the backflip headscissors on Raziel. Raziel drops him with a single clothesline. Win for Raziel. Corner charge by the rudo meets boots, Diamante flips out of a monkey flip, four bounce armdrag sends Raziel out of the ring and running into the crowd. Metro can't be knocked down by Virus' shoulderblock, and ducks under his clothesline. Metro gets Virus with the big armdrag, Raziel grabs hold Of Metro, Virus slaps his charge off the apron. Metro pulls Virus down by the hair, spins him, and drops him with a quebradora con giro. Sangre and Misterioso chop fight doesn’t last long before Misterioso sneaks in a kick. Corner whip, reverses, Misterioso goes in face first, then turns around and gets dropped on the top rope by a Sangre spinning stun gun. Crowd not a fan of that move. Sangre trips Misterioso into the bottom buckle and gets in a dropkick to the backside. Mixing it up! Oh, wait, there’s the low blow dropkick too. Other rudos dropkick Sangre out, Diamante gets Raziel with a missile dropkicks and moves out of the way of a Virus senton. Metro superkicks Virus out, Diamante gets Raziel with a tope con giro, Metro gets Virus with an apron tope con giro. Back to the captains, rather quick. Who will it be? Misterioso chops Sangre. Whip, reversed, Sangre sit down powerbomb one two three! That's a new one for him.
Replays show, as the announcers pointing, Metro nearly took out a photographer on his dive.
Match 4: Black Warrior, Máximo, Super Porky vs Atlantis, Héctor Garza, Mr. Niebla
Arena Mexico, 05/03/2011
rudos
Winner: Atlantis (2-1)
Match Time: 15:01
Rating: bleh
Notes: Super Porky is wearing his mask. Zacarias is with Mr. Niebla. I have no hope for this one. Ref is Maya.
1: Porky & Niebla do Porky comedy to start, interrupted by a local break. Garza and Máximo have taken over to their comedy upon resumption. This doesn't go long until Atlantis gets in a forearm from the outside and the rudos take over. Niebla slams Porky, and Atlantis jump on top for the pin.
2: Garza accidentally kicks Zacarias without actually coming near him on the kick. It is amazing. Máximo ducks under a double clothesline and dropkicks Garza out to start the comeback. Waved by dropkick here – people like that spot here. Porky immediately sits on Atlantis for the pin – maybe he's captain? Niebla tries walking the top rope for no reason and crotches himself. Strong amount of boos for the técnicos getting their arms raised.
3: Beginning of the fall is obscured by a local break. Back in time For Warrior and Atlantis doing some back quebradora con giros. Porky's offense is next, including a second rope splash on Garza. Garza and Zacarias have issues and the causes the match to stop for a while. Maximo's turn with Garza is the usual. Máximo takes care of Atlantis with the double but bump. Niebla and Máximo pose together, but Niebla still takes the kiss. Porky headlock/headscissors on Niebla and Atlantis doesn’t look good. Other técnicos send them out, teases a dive, and get yanked out. Rudos are rammed into each other. Garza misses a corner charge and falls to the outside, Zacarias does a dive on the pile and gets ignored, Porky does his ramp dive onto anyone who will catch him. Rudos grab him and pull him back in. Garza kick to the midsection, Niebla – heabdutt? Maybe? And Atlantis inside cradle, one two three. That was not much.
