Notes: Shocker has the sucker. Ring announcers nicknames Metal Blanco “el Fabolouso!” and then nicknames Guerrero Maya “el Fabolouso!” Way to mix it up. The referee? “El Fabolouso Pompin!”
Why are the announcers saying hello to LA? Lockup, Maya with a waistlock, Blanco into a headlock, Maya ties him back with a wristlock. Battle, Blanco out to an armbar, down to the mat, leg tied up, Blanco back to an armbar, into a hammerlock, Maya into a wristlock, let me just wait until they get to the standoff. Bucanero, on commentary, mentions Guerrero Maya was trained by Black Terry. You don't say. Ah, standoff. Maya hammerlock, Blanco trips Maya on to his stomach, double armbar, Maya forced on his head by coming off with a spinning headscissors. Circle. Lockup, Maya trips up Blanco, kneebar. Metal escapes into his own leg hold, Maya on this stomach and pulled back up a bit. Blanco lets go but armdrags Maya into the ropes. Lockup, Blanco flips Maya to the mat, pulls his legs in between Maya's arms, and falls backwards, forcing Maya to bridge up. Maya turns it over, but Blanco cradles him into a pin for two. Blanco trips up Maya, but we reach another standoff. Maya headlock, Blanco headlock, off the ropes, Blanco slide under, flips over backdrop, both stand, May runs, off the ropes, armdrag. Blanco charges, springboard armdrag of his own, and out tumbles Maya. Blanco runs, walks up the ropes while turning around, almost loses his balance and steps over adjacent ropes, walks the ropes to the corner, balance himself again, and dives off with a top rope tope con giro! That was dramatic. Replay.
Blanco is first, but Maya boinks him into the buckle. Top rope plancha connects. Blanco sneaks in a sunset flip for two. Both slow up. Maya clothesline misses, Blanco shoulderblocks him and runs up the corner, but Maya dropkicks the rope out from underneath Blanco, and out he goes. Maya runs, and crushes Blanco with a tope. Five minute call is about six minutes in by my count. Replays of that fantastic tope.
Maya in first, Blanco tries to fight him off from the apron but Maya slaps him down. Suplex in, Maya stepping back a few steps while dropping him. One two NO. Slow count there. Blanco waves him by, Maya hangs on to the ropes and just waits until Blanco comes back with a 619. That was not so good. Springboard dropkick connects, Blanco jumps on top one two no. Blanco clothesline misses, spinning headscissors thrown off, Maya covers, one two no. Blanco 'rana, one, kickout. Odd. Maya up and punching Blanco in the head. That'll work. Whip, Maya tries another 'rana, but this time Maya powerbombs him, one two NO. Blanco slaps Maya in the ropes and waves pumps his fist. Up on Maya’s shoulders, forward cradle, one two NO. Whip, Maya escapes a tilt-a-whirl, Blanco misses a clothesline, Maya tilt-a-whirl slam! Maya tries to pick up Blanco, but Blanco kicks him away. Maya stumbles, and Blanco inside cradles him from behind, one two NO. Slow counts. Blanco kick, slam. He's going up. Top rope senton con giro – comes up empty. Metal Blanco looks out, but Maya ain’t done. Double underhook piledriver! One two three.
