Match 1: La Sombra ©, Rush, Toscano vs Felino, Mr. Niebla ©, Negro Casas
Arena Mexico, 03/18/2011
técnicos
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:17
Rating: OK, familiar
Notes: Ref is Tirantes, announced as “leader of the CMLL referees.” Sure. Zacarias is with the rudos, of course. Monito is with the técnicos. Toscano is wearing a Fabian armband.
1: Felino and Toscano start with their usual array of stinky and anti-stinky. Felino wanders to the ramp for no purpose but to lead cheers. The others eventually realize this means a tag. Sombra, Negro, and Negro's ear wax. They don't get far, though Sombra gets some armdrags to end it. Rush in, Niebla in, Niebla out to go lead cheers. Niebla's boots have toes! They also look appropriately crummy. Niebla returns, and smacks Rush around in his own corner. Hard slaps to the face and chest to wrecks the técnico. Rush comes back with his jumping back elbow, and gets his usual boo. Niebla's clothesline misses, Rush kicks him in the head too sent it out. Rush readies a dive, crowd shot, Sombra does a top rope moonsault to the floor instead. Other four all in, técnicos whipped to each other, whip each other around, and finish the rudos. Rush pins Negro with a knee and and a hand, then wipes his hand to indicate how easy it was. Are we sure he's a técnico?
2: Niebla hugs the edecan. Or maybe he's checking her armpits? That seems more likely. Both sides start in their corners, with Negro and Sombra in the ring. Sombra sends out Negro with a dropkick, and the other two bumble around for a bit. Niebla gets himself caught in the ropes, Sombra does it the técnico way, and Niebla throws himself out. Sombra rolls over the ropes to the apron, and Niebla joins him there for a chop fight. Niebla winds up for a big one, Sombra sets back, and Niebla pratfalls on the apron. Sombra rolls back in and tags Toscano. Chop fight turns into a forearm fight. Toscano leapfrogs over Negro a few times, armdrags him, then forearms him out. Toscano poses while Felino sneaks in. Felino wants a pose off, and dramatically removes his vest before being gross with it. Toscano observers from a corner, and Felino walks over unimpeded and chops him. Corner whip, reversed, Toscano flipped to the apron, and rubs Felino's face in his armpit. Felino, as always, is unbothered. Toscano goes up, flying armdrag sends Felino out. Niebla in and slapping Toscano. Niebla likes alternating shots to Fabian's chest with his face. Niebla struts and pose and spit and catch doesn’t go well. Niebla and Negro pick up the spit from the ground so Niebla can put it back in. Toscano stops watching and sends Niebla out with a climb up the ropes armdrag. Niebla tries to get a fan, but they wisely cover up. Rush in, urging on the boos (or maybe the few cheers.) Crowd chants for Negro. Chop fight, won by Negro Eye rake. Negro knocks Rush into the técnico corner, which becomes dangerous for him, so he walks it to a neutral corner. Corner whip, reversed, Negro gets a boot up. Clothesline, but Rush won't go down. Negro tries a running version, and runs right into a powerslam. Rush stands around and picks Negro up, which is dumb and gets him kicked a bit. Corner whip, Rush gets up a boot again. Rush sets Rush on the top rope, and Negro kicks him, knocking the técnicos to the apron. They fight out there, Negro getting the edge with kicks, but getting smacked on a superkick. Negro has a big timber sell. Felino in, and he lasts little before taking a dropkick. Niebla is able to catch Rush by surprise with a shoulderblock, and Felino follows with his dive. Sombra in with plancha on the two remaining rudos. Negro dropped near the corner for Sombra's top rope move. Toscano tries a 'rana on Niebla, but Niebla easily powerbombs him. While we're shown that, either Zacarias or Negro (or both) shake the ropes to crotch Sombra, and he comes tumbling down. Niebla locks Toscano in La Nieblina, and Negro gets Sombra in a crossface. That's it.
3: Everyone kind of screwing around to start the fall. Zacarias is up the ramp for some reason, and trips running back. Rudos decide they're doing a beatdown once Sombra actually steps in the ring. Sombra is now doing backflip into headstands for no reason (Palacio Negro pulls that off better.), except may to get absolutely killed by a Felino dropkick. Rush takes a running sit from Felino. Toscano. Niebla bites Toscano's chest, which seems like a bad idea. Sombra and Niebla have a tug of war over Monito, and Niebla ends up legdropping the monkey. Double chop on Rush accidentally hits Niebla, sending him tot he floor, and Negro and Felino stand around watching as Sombra blows up their partner with a fast tope. Toscano gets in a chop fight with Negro, but falls to the floor when Felino pulls down the middle rope, and Negro gets him with his usual dive. Rush and Felino fight on the camera side, with Felino being kicked to the floor and hit by Rush's tope con giro. Fans do not like the técnicos, but they really hate the rudos. Sombra in to face Niebla, but so is Monito. Sombra convinces Monito he'll take it. Niebla is a corner charge and Sombra dumps him in front of the corner, but Niebla recovers quick and crotches Sombra on the top rope. Zacarias decides this is a good idea to run cross ring and kick Monito. Meanwhile, Niebla top rope superplexes Sombra and holds on, one two there.

Match 2: Averno vs Máscara Dorada for the NWA World Middleweight Championship
Arena Mexico, 03/18/2011
Mascara Dorada running sunset flip bomb (3:25)
Winner: Averno (2-1)
Match Time: 11:57
Rating: good, not special
Notes: Dorada's entrance is clipped, but includes him meeting up with Black Warrior and shaking hands. I don’t like the mask he's going with this week, or the gold outfit much. Averno wears his belt underneath his robe. AND ANOTHER BREAK. Referee is Maya, who's wearing an old school NWA patch on his shirt. Mephisto and Rush are the seconds.
1: Circle. Lockup, break. Lockup, Averno waistlock takedown, but Dorada quickly up with an armdrag from the mat. Circle. Lockup, Averno with an under arm grip, Dorada flipped around over his hip a couple times and then side slammed down. Averno stand him up, armdrags him down, stands him up, hammerlock, into a spinning faceslam. That was nice. Averno keeps Dorada down with n armbar, looking for that submission. Hipblock takeover, and Averno steps away to let Dorada up. Circle. Averno tells the crowd to just calm down for a second. Horn guy refused to calm. Lockup, Dorada with a tope dope hold and chinlock from the back. Averno out into an armbar, up with it, and Dorada rolls to reverse. Single leg, snap mare, into a grounded crucifix, Averno escapes before Maya can count, but Dorada still armdrags him. Horuz and family are shown watching from the crowd. Circle. Dorada of the ropes, Dorada cartwheels over, and just sands there, Averno whips him, reverse, Averno rolls thru the ropes to the ramp and poses there. Dorada starts running, stops, runs again and jumps over the rope for a headscissors. Impressive spot that got no reaction. Averno recover to kick Dorada towards the ring, but his charge comes up empty when Dorada moves. Averno turns it into a roll over the top rope into the ring. Averno slaps Dorada away, Dorada backs up two thirds the way up the ramp, then charges. Averno, who's standing on the middle rope for no reason (maybe wondering why Dorada backed all the way up) is in perfect position for a diving sunset flip bomb. Dorada holds on for the pin, one two three. Mixed reaction.
Tania talks to the Hijo de Angel Blanco, Roberto Vargas, and Horuz. Angel Blanco Jr. is not there. And break!
Pólvora talks about his match (“super retador”) and the rest of Tuesday's show. I remember there was a match around here somewhere.
2: Dorada trips up Averno, off the ropes, over, flipping run, Averno misses a clothesline, Dorada back with a headscissors. Averno out, Dorada running – tope shoulders Averno in the had. Impact looked odd, Dorada turning his shoulder into it instead of the normal flat impact. Both guys take circular routes around to the ring, back in at around the same time. Dorada headscissors is turned into a faceslam, and Averno wastes no time. Devil's Wings, two hand press cover one two three. First fall was interesting, this wasn't much.
3: Dorada's grabbing his back as the falls starts. There's a big zoom in on the belt, and I actually can see the letters NWA right under the weight class. They're tiny, but they are there. Averno off the ropes, over, waved by, under a late leapfrog, waved by again, and headscissors Dorada out. Averno slides out after Dorada, Dorada ducks under him, ducks a clothesline, gets tossed up in the by Averno and lands on the middle rope. Dorada turns and jumps off with a headscissors on Averno. Everything happening here involves a decent bit of hesitation. Dorada is acrobatic but not efficient. Mephisto pours ate on Averno's beck, which I guess helps. After some replays, they're backing, but not for long. Averno flips Dorada to eh apron, and knocks him off with an enziguri. Averno agonize the crowd, then launches himself with his nice tope con giro. Wow, they put the Angel Blancos in like the 10th row. Anyway, both guys are very slow to make it back in. Averno makes it in first, and Dorada decides to stand on the apron instead. Averno tries punching him, Dorada slaps him around, springboard flip into a 'rana, thought here's a pause to get it applied. One two NO. That was a finishing move, but would've seemed way premature to end it there. Crowd back into it. Crowd and Mephisto shots, and it seems like there was something edited out here (they're in changing positions every time they come back to the ring.) Both slow up, Averno waves Dorada into the ropes, Dorada back with a headscissors, boos as Dorada signals he's going for a dive. Step up the ropes blind moonsault to the floor looks great, wipes up both men on the legs of the people in the front row, who didn't really move much. Both slow in again, but Averno makes it back first this time too. Dorada walks around a corner to put his foot on inside the ring, then springboard in with a headscissors. Crowd booing as Dorada urges them out. Charge, Averno flips him to the Apron, Dorada slaps him down. Dorada backs most the way up the ramp, adjust his pants, charge, and runs for the umping in the ring headscissors, but Averno blocks it into a powerbomb, one two NO. That kind of had to fail, he took too long (and may have not been high enough to pull it off well anyway.) Maybe another clip here? Averno psychs himself up. Averno kicks Dorada into the ropes, charge, and takes a hiptoss to the floor. Another dive? Tope con giro, right into the first row (and one person who was a bit to slow to move.) While Dorada gets himself untangled, Averno crawls away. Replay of that dive – it'd be good if Dorada could do a move in the ring at some point. Dorada makes it in first this time, and is waiting for Averno to get in. Mephisto is untying his partner's mask for some reason, and Dorada has just got to dive again – Brillo Dorada connects on Mephisto, but Averno moves out to the way in time. Averno takes Dorada back in, Devil's Wings! Averno asks the fans if they want one more. He didn't really get much on the first one, he probably needs at least one more. Second Devils' Wings. One two NO. No big reaction on that, despite the intention. Crowd chanting for Dorada anyway. Replay of Dorada's dive, which seems not to be the story now, but okay. Casita, Dorada rolls thru, casita of his own, one two NO. Very slow count by Maya. Rush up on the apron arguing with Maya – maybe over that count? Dorada off the ropes, flipping run, charge again, Mephisto trips up Dorada from the outside, Dorada turns around to look at him, Averno turns him around, foul kick, one two three.
Rush protests. Black Warrior watch and claps from the ramp. Post match belt presentations is clipped up. Mephisto goes after Rush with kicks and punches. Pump powerbomb on them. Black Warrior is still watching and smiling. More clapping and smiling out of Warrior. Averno goes to get a handshake, and get a clothesline. Kick for Mephisto, quebradora for Averno, and Mephisto is rammed into his partner. Rush is back alive and helping Warrior brawl with the Averno. Warrior pulls off Avernos' mask and poses. Warrior goes in and raises Dorada's arm.
Dorada demands revenge. Warrior says the title doesn't interest him, he just wants Averno.

Match 3: Máximo & Super Porky vs Terrible & Texano in a hair match
Arena Mexico, 03/18/2011
técnicos
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:46
Rating: better than expected
Notes: Clipped up entrances here. Texano and Terrible enter together and have new matching outfits. Texano is wearing black with white, Terrible is wearing the inverse. Ref is Babe Richard, who hasn't dyed his hair lately. Texano is also wearing a Fabian armband; He and Toscano are just the two I've noticed, they may not be all. They are not drawing attention to them.
1: Máximo rushes the rudos. Porky isn't rushing anyway. Rudos still see Máximo charging and move. Porky's kicked away while the other two stomp down Máximo all the way to the ramp. Porky slowly follows. Texano attack and runs into a backdrop, but Terrible helps knocks Porky back to the ring. Máximo clotheslines Texano back in, but Terrible gets him with a kick. Double delayed suplex on Porky! Texano covers, but Máximo breaks it up before a count. Máximo takes a two man front cracker, but no pin here. Rudos whip Porky, Texano runs to boot Máximo and misses, Porky surprises Texano with a running plancha, and Máximo inside cradles Texano. One two three. Mixed reaction.
Alvarados get their arms raised, but keep fighting. Máximo headbutts Texano as the show goes to replays. Máximo is biting Terrible's head when they return from break. Brazos are serious.
2: Porky squashes Texano in the corner with a splash. Máximo rips up Terrible's new shirt and Porky splashes him too. Terrible boots down Máximo and and chops Porky. Texano boots him into another Terrible chop. Corner whip, Texano whipped in, Porky moves and clotheslines Terrible. Dropkick knocks Porky down. Texano off the ropes, into a spinebuster from Máximo. One two Texano goes to break it up but Máximo move anyway. Terrible tries again, misses, Máximo splashes both, Porky splashes both, one two kickout. That almost as it. Crowd chants for Porky as he backs up in the corner. Texano gets him with a jumping splash, but Porky sidesteps another charge and clubs Terrible with a forearm. Porky goes back to Texano, but Texano kicks him and scoop slams him. At the same time, Maxim's double jump butt bump is blocked and powerbombs. Rudos get stereo pins to tie it up.
Replays.
3: Terrible and Texano are in trouble as they pick up. Texano gets sandwiched by a Porky running corner sit, but Terrible dropkicks the big man out. Máximo's spinning armdrag sends Terrible out, and Máximo hurriedly follows with a tope, knocking Terrible's feet from underneath him. Texano takes a look, and waits for them to get up – slingshot tope con giro into both. Well, there's only one way this can end. Porky backs all the way up the ramp, says a prayer, “runs” and jumps off the apron into a plancha on all three. It goes fairly well, all considering. Replay of Porky doing a whole lot of jiggling.
Cut to Texano and Porky in the ring. Texano stomps Porky and heads out to the corner, but is sure taking his time. Porky is up in plenty of time, crotching Texano on the top rope. Porky up with him – but Terrible stops that. Wow, Porky is not the guy I'd expect for the middle of a superplex/powerbomb spot, but there he his. Máximo splashes Texano, both Terrible and Máximo cover, one two NO. Máximo grabs Texano's arm for armbreaker. Texano block it for a bit, while Terrible crawls around. Terrible opts to put Máximo in a headscissors submission, and Porky decide to splash Terrible. One two Texano kicks out causing Terrible to kick out. How odd. Texano slaps around Máximo, but get pulled down by his hair. Terrible misses a clothesline on Máximo, but Máximo comes back with as springboard armdrags. Terrible surprises Máximo with a dropkick and shrieks like a banshee about it. Porky waiting for something. Terrible sets Máximo in the corner and slaps him. Corner whip, reversed, charges, Terrible flips him to the apron, Máximo slaps him a way, and comes of the top with a tope con giro on to Texano. Is Terrible going to dive? Rolling leap to the apron – and Máximo trips Texano him to the floor. I wish he didn't, I want to know what Terrible could've possibly been setting up. Porky off the ropes - fat man tope thru the ropes! Everyone down on the outside. Porky in, Terrible in with him and chopping Porky hard. Porky lays down, grabs his heart, and shakes. Terrible reaches down to pick him up, and Porky small packages him – one two, and Texano breaks it up. That was, uh, creative. Texano slaps Porky in the chest twice, but Porky will not go down. Texano suplex – no, Porky small package. Terrible breaks that up with a kick. Máximo's finally returned to the apron. Now they zoom in on the Fabian armband. Terrible spinebuster a charging Máximo, then Terrible sets up for the Terrible Crash, but Porky runs him over, ending up on top on in the collision. One two Texano breaks it up with a senton. Máximo rolling reverse rollup on Texano, one two NO. Terrible charges, Porky waves him by, Babe Richard almost gets taken out and gets turned around, Porky belatedly decides he might as well try fake a foul here. I'm not sure how that is supposed to have worked. Babe Richard is confused, Terrible pleads - and Máximo cradles him while Texano covers Porky. One two three – both men are gone. Porky lost while faking his own foul?
Crowd loudly chanting for Máximo. Replay of Porky faking a foul, but quick cut to Máximo finishing a 'rana on Texano. One two no. Crowd shot surely covers another clip. Máximo casita one two Texano scissors the ropes with his feet to get the break. Crowd shot, Back for Máximo's kiss, inside cradle one two NO. When Texano's surviving that, it's a poor sign for Máximo. Also, his larger than normal mohawk. Texano sneaks back on the apron for some reason. Crowd chants for Máximo. Máximo shoulderblocks Texano, to the ropes, but stops when he sees Terrible standing there. Terrible swings at Máximo, Babe Richard walks over to order Terrible off the apron, Máximo turns around and catches Texano in small package. Terrible protests getting of the apron, and only leaves with be Richard finally turns around and notices the pin – one two NO. Porky on the apron and protesting. Máximo argues too, not that's going to help him. Máximo turn around, and walks right into the Tornado Texano. One two three.
Porky cries. Lots of fireworks, and then lots of confetti. Brazo de Oro, Goya Kong, Robin, and others are in to console Porky and Máximo. Brazo de Oro argues with Babe Richard. Terrible and Texano get new shirts. Porky gets his hair shaved off first – or at least starts to before he goes out to the floor to be consoled by who I assume is his wife. Máximo gets his hair cut in the meantime. Texano, wearing a Terrible shirt, talks about his win and gives the Alvarados credit. Terrible sort of rants.
Next Week in Arena Mexico: Rush, Goto, Strong Man, Valiente, Misterioso Jr., Stuka, Tuareg, Skándalo, Arkangel, Pegasso, and more.
Replays of the finish of the last match. Porky says bye to the camera.
