CMLL on Televisa #1021 (03/26/2011)
Recapped: 03/29/11

Between previews and commercials, there's nothing to talk about for the first nine minute of this show. They don't appear to have done anything to note the return to the US, this is just the same tape.

Gran Alternativa! Week 2! Lestat is barely shown, but they’ve got a little bit from Puebla TV of him posing.

Match 1: Pólvora vs Sangre Azteca in a lightning match
Arena Mexico, 01/21/2011

Winner: Sangre Azteca (DQ)
Match Time: 4:54
Rating: bleh
Notes: Pólvora does not enter to the Cancerbero's screams. Everyone's wearing a t-shirt from like three charity campaigns ago. Both guys are listed as rudos because this is right after the break up. Guy who looks like Felino in the crowd! Bestia Negra is the ref.

Slow feeling out process. Pólvora eventually gets in some knees to take over, but Sangre reverses a whip and drops him with a quebradora con giro. Sangre misses a clothesline, Pólvora drops him with a flapjack. Pólvora waits for Sangre to get up, and dropkicks him in the face. Pólvora “fiercely” punches sangre in the face, but it doesn't come off that strongly. Pólvora so angry that he poses in the corner. Sangre lifted up, rammed chest first in the corner. Pólvora running dropkick to the head doesn’t get much of Sangre. Sangre fires up and gets in to a chest slap war with Pólvora, which Pólvora easily wins. Pólvora likes to slow walk around. Shoulder to the midsection. Corner whip, Pólvora charges, no one home. Sangre back up, clothesline misses, Pólvora shoulderblock him, off the ropes, and cut down by Sangre's wheel kick. Sangre spins his finger and takes a look at the clock. Low blow dropkick connects. Replay. Sangre charges Pólvora who sets him on the top rope and punches him. Sangre shoves him off, and low blow dropkicks him again. Sangre raises his arm to the crowd. That sure looks like a low blow on TV. Sangre chops down Pólvora, off the ropes, right into a Pólvora low blow kick. That's actually a foul. Pólvora pounces, but Sangre Azteca pulls him off.

Eléctrico promo.

Recapped when it aired on LATV. Leobrado does introductions for this match (so they can clip them down), including calling Bam Bam the ex-champion, but he's still wearing the belt here.

Pequeño Warrior promo after the first fall. Another Eléctrico promo later.

So many breaks!

Match 3: Diamante, Metro, Stuka Jr. © vs Euforia ©, Raziel, Shigeo Okumura
Arena Mexico, 03/18/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:00
Rating: OK
Notes: Mima and her flag accompany to the ring with Okumura to the ring and disappear after. and also different music from his promo a few minutes ago. Refs are Terror Chino & Bestia Negra.

1: Euforia and Stuka have a nice set of reversals to start. Metro and Okumura exchange chops, and Metro is too strong to go down via shoulderblock. Metro has some nice knife edge chops. He has no problem hitting you very hard. Quebradora con giro, dropkick, and running corner back splash by Metro causes Okumura to retreat. I haven’t seen him do that much. Diamante and Raziel are next. Rope reversals lead to a Diamante springboard flip...on to his head. Don’t do that! Fans boo. Whip reversal sets up a quebradora, but the crowd turned on this already. Dropkick sends the rudo out, springboard Asai tornillo to follow. Metro and Okumura back in, and Metro quickly locks in the Sheild. Stuka has a long set up to a spinning reverse DDT, which doesn't look great. Crowd boos the técnico win.

2: Stuka & Raziel restart, but Euforia yanks out Stuka and Okumura clears out the técnicos. Euforia hurriedly unties Stuka's mask, as Raziel and Okumura stop anyone else form getting involved. Stuka's hung in the Tree of Woe for a dropkick. Stuka out, Metro in, rudos ties him in the ropes, Okumura slaps him around, and the rudos manage a triple dropkick, two from the middle rope and one charging. Crowd approves. Pólvora talking to Diamante before whipping him, and then a double chop by the rudos accidentally gets Okumura. Diamante boost dropkicks Euforia out, Raziel dropkick Diamante, Stuka ducks a clothesline, but Raziel dropkicks him too. Diamante tries to springboard onto Raziel, but Raziel avoids and clothesline him. He's keeping his team in this all by himself. Corner whip on Diamante, Raziel clotheslines him and sets him on the top rope, next to the corner. Raziel climbs up with him - super pump handle powerslam! One two three.

Raziel is excited about getting the win. Metro in, Raziel charges, right into Metro’s lift. Wheelbarrow slam, one two three.

Okumura flips Metro with a missile dropkick. Stuka in and headscissors Okumura. Stuka teased a dive, just to set up Okumura for Metro’s rope tope con giro. Euforia back in and missing a dropkick. Stuka 'rana, one two NO. Stuka small package one two NO. Stuka inside cradle, Euforia rolls thru, Euforia foul kick, Stuka brushes it away, Euforia yanks Stuka's mask and slaps him down. (Stuka's face is blurred out.) Referees both award the fall to Stuka.

Euforia spikes the mask into the mat and stomps Stuka some more, until Metro shoves him away. Euforia only then seems to realize he’s got angry enough to cost his team the match.

Tania talks to Blue Panther about Angel Blanco.

Another Gran Alternativa plug.

Cartela de la Semana, with Inquisidor.

Match 4: Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther ©, Valiente vs Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero ©
Arena Mexico, 03/18/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:25
Rating: fine while it lasted
Notes: Rudos enter as a group. Referee is Tiger Hispano.

1: Valiente and Atlantis start, battling over joint holds. Zero covers leads to Valiente flipping of Atlantis, and Atlantis deciding he'd rather tag out. UG and Blue Panther in, UG a bit surprised and thrown off. Panther armdrags his junior around, but UG stops that with a back elbow. Corner whip, UG kicks Panther away, sunset flip, Panther rolls away to set up an Angel de Oro plancha. Oro tries a clothesline, but UG spins him around to Dragon Rojo, who lifts him up and drops him with the Dragon Bomb. Atlantis kicks away Panther and slaps Valiente coming in. Técnicos are all cleared out of the ring. Rudos end up doing the flying sit set up on the ramp, onto Panther. Valiente and Angel de Oro in, for UG's whirly bird double submission. Atlantis celebrates as UG spins the opponents into submission.

2: Angel de Oro is thrown in the air, and cut down by a Dragon Rojo missile dropkick. Pretty good contact on it, good enough for a replay. Dragon Rojo lands his low blow dropkick on Valiente. Rudos set up Panther for another flying sit, but Valiente sneaks in and attacks UG to break it up. Angel de Oro headscissors Atlantis, and Valiente whips UG into a hiptoss into the ring. Angel de Oro charge down the ramp, and Panther boosts him into a headscissors. Angel de Oro Space Tiger Flying Drop looks great. Clip? Panther starts to set up a nudo lagunero in Atlantis charges his mind to a sort of armbar/chinlock. Dragon Rojos struggles to find something to do while Panther is struggling, then runs to take a double springboard headscissors and a Valiente layout chestbreaker.

3: Dragon Rojo is over aggressive, and Panther quickly catches him in a short arm scissors. UG has to charge in and break that up with stomps. Panther pulls himself up with the ropes, and gets UG with a headscissors. UG boots Panther into the ropes, but takes the knee bump to the floor. Atlantis on Panther with kicks and punches, but his whip turns into a tope on Panther. Angel de Oro rolls in, but the rudos kick him down. Corner charge, Atlantis is kicked away, and Oro gets them both with an armdrag/headscissors. Boosted headscissors, casadora into a – nope, Dragon Rojo puts a kick stop to that. Valiente in, waiting for Dragon to turn around. Valiente charges, Dragon looses him, Valiente off the ropes, clothesline misses, waved by, Valiente springboard flips, and Dragon Rojo takes him out with a clothesline to the head. Valiente, corner whip, charge in, Valiente kicks him away, Valiente charge out, Dragon Rojo flips him, Valiente almost lands on his feet, under, another clothesline and landing a headscissors. Dragon Rojo into the ropes and out. Valiente looks at the ropes, running – Valiente special onto Guerrero. Other four come back in, and the técnicos quickly run into Atlantidas for the loss.

Rudo fans approve. Guerrero retrieve UG and raise his arm.

Hype for next Friday's show includes Gran Alternativa (no Lestat footage.) And next Saturday (“En Galavision Canal 9”) hypes Dorada/Averno, though not Porky/Máximo vs Doble T.

CMLL copyright closer still includes a big picture of Místico. I'm sure they'll fix that, in maybe five years.
