EIGHT weeks without new episodes. Thought this might be too, but you can't slip a Cholo match past me.

Match 1: Tigre Blanco & Trueno vs Cholo & Zayco
Arena Mexico, 01/07/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 9:58
Rating: not so good on the finish, but not unreedemable
Notes: Cholo doesn't have an entrance video? No justice! Cholo points to the name on his shirt when they announce his name. Zayco's name is spelling “Zayko” on his video. Then again, Tigre Blanco's video still has him masked. Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Blanco/Zayco have an even mat exchange. Cholo/Trueno is technically even, but Trueno pull off the much more high tech stuff. Cholo resorts to kicks and punches, which gets everyone involved. Rudos bumble, then Cholo has trouble taking a hiptoss over the top rope. Blanco boots Trueno into a nice springboard plancha to the floor, then finished off Zayco. Good thing there's no one in the crowd on that side for Trueno to accidentally hit.

2: Zayco takes the worst of a Trueno showcase. Cholo takes a monkey flip to the floor from Tigre Blanco, then gets up to take the apron headscissors. Rudos spontaneously start the beatdown. Lift and top rope clothesline on Blanco. Low blow dropkick for Trueno. Zayco attempts a sort of sideways reinera, and it is not an improvement over the standard version. Cholo has a finishing hold! I have no idea how to describe it!

3: Rudos continue their domination. Trueno sidesteps a Zayco charge to get things even. Blanco dropkick Cholo, Trueno gives him a backbreaker, and Blanco goes out with a top roe plancha on Zayco. Trueno trips Zayco into the ropes, Zayco hangs in them and takes a big bump backwards onto the mat, Trueno tries to run up the corner for a moonsault but utterly fails, that's the finish. God bless. Trueno collects Tigre Blanco so they can get the countout and go home.

Match 2: Ángel Azteca Jr. ©, Leono, Rey Cometa vs Durango Kid, Escorpion, Puma King ©
Arena Mexico, 01/07/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 15:03
Rating: Cometa was awesome and the rudos were good.
Notes: Scorpion doesn’t have a video? Maybe someone needs to start making entrance videos. They dub the show's opening music over Puma King – uh oh, someone noticed. This music is only being used for evaluation purposes! Referees are El Maya and Bestia Negra.

1: Long, unnoteworthy opening of Escorpion/Azteca and Durango/Leono.

Fall is over by they time they return. Replays show Durango Kid fireman's dropping Leono and Azteca in the center of the ring, head to head. Puma and Cometa get in a chop fight, and Cometa takes a crazy flip of a clothesline. Puma takes him out with a springboard front cracker and a dropkick to the outside. Azteca missile dropkicks him, Escorpion top rope wheel kicks him, Leono springboard headscissors him, Durango – Durango has to go by Leono before he can land his run up the ropes tornillo. Fireman's carry side drop for Leono, Maya starts counting people down even though no one's touching them (????), let's just ignore him, and Escorpion dumps Azteca so he's head to head with Leono. Durango and Escorpion go to opposite sides for (bad) quebradas while Puma adds a springboard double legdrop, one leg for each.

2: Fun beatdown with this group. Rey Cometa is lead into a Puma kick to the head, then Durango spins Cometa for a double missile dropkick tot he head by Puma and Escorpion. Leono is hung off the apron for Escorpion's thru the ropes dropkick. Azteca takes the corner charge, with Durango flipping off his chest for kicks. Middle rope snap mare, triple kick to the chest. Cometa evades a corner charge and sunset flips Escorpion, but the other rudos break it up with kicks. Rey Cometa is boosted up for Escorpion, but again sneaks in a 'rana and again the other rudos have to save. This time, Leono and Azteca comes flying in with an armdrags. Azteca tope con giro out, Leono out with a springboard plancha. Escorpion takes a flip bump in the corner, Cometa whips him to the other side, Escorpion reverses, Cometa flips him to the apron, Escorpion fights him back, Cometa slaps him as he climbs. Cometa top rope moonsault slam, that's it for him. Referees count out the others for the fall. They really shouldn't be using that spot as the second fall in the segunda, but it did look really good.

3: Escorpion stops Cometa with a heel kick. Punches in the corner. Corner whip, Cometa charges in, Escorpion flips him, Cometa fights him off, top rope tornillo lands. Cometa rolls thru to his feet, ducks a clothesline, and gets Escorpion with a headscissors into an armdrag. Escorpion abandons ring, and Cometa follow with an Asai flip into an armdrag. Crazy. Leono looks 1/10th as impressive with Puma King. Puma King takes a nice monkey flip cross ring, and then takes a nicer one. Azteca looks slow with Durango Kid, with an iffy springboard headscissors. Comet and Escorpion get into a chop fight, and Cometa pulls down his top to feel the action. Escorpion takes a monkey flip over the top rope, and Cometa follows with a sweet tornillo to the floor. Leono springboard in with a silla on Puma, then headscissors him into a double armbar. That works. That's the fall because he's the captain, but everyone’s forgot. Azteca submits Durango Kid for good measure. That looks a lot like La Flecha's old hold, actually.

That's it.
