CMLL Guadalajara on Teleformula #30 (01/16/2011)
Recapped: 01/18/10

Match 1: Felino, Héctor Garza ©, Negro Casas vs Blue Panther ©, Delta, Máximo
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 12/21/2010

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:24
Rating: eh
Notes: Felino is in his Santa gear. Surely unwashed since last year. Maximo's music has a really annoying part. Referee is Loco. Bucanero is sounds very gravely. Knee acting up? Bigger crowd than usual.

1: Before the match can get started, Máximo is very stalker-y towards Hector Garza. Panther tries to put holds on Negro for about a minute, Negro escapes, shakes his hand, and leaves. That was not the match Negro Casas signed up for. Felino/Delta is about Felino making Delta look silly. Maximo's fascinated by Hector's stripping, and they actually miss the shot of Máximo reaching down to pick up Garza's pants and getting kicked in the face. Rudos take over from there. Negro shows off on Panther.

2: Negro kicks and chops Máximo in the corner, then gives him a big kiss. Máximo is disgusted. Panther later reverses a Negro sunset flip to send Casas into Máximo for a kiss, and Maximo's totally okay with it that time. That starts the comeback: Delta tope, finished on the other two. Perico tried and failed to break up the pin.

3: Showcases go Delta, Blue Panther, Máximo. Máximo finally gets that kiss on Máximo. He dives on Felino, Panther pulls Negro into a time killing hold, Delta drops Garza in the other corner, kicks Perico, and goes for a top rope moonsault – only to eat Garza's boots. Garza covers, Panther tries to break it up but is cradled by Negro Casas, and it's over before Máximo can make it back in.

Match 2: Mephisto vs Místico
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 12/21/2010

  1. Mephisto pin with bottom rope (2:04)

  2. Místico springboard ‘rana (3:27)
  3. double pin (6:43)
  4. La Mistica (0:33)

Winner: Místico (2-1-1)
Match Time: 12:47
Rating: usual Místico match
Notes: Mephisto seems focused. No seconds. Loco is the ref. Mephisto kicks Místico as he comes in, of course.

1: Mephisto kicks Místico around. Whip, kick to the head has so much air that I think it’s a kick to the chest. High knee is Garza style (very loud obvious slap.) Felino rejoins the announcers, talking about his win. Mephisto walks Místico over to the ropes to choke him. Punch to the face. Mephisto’s not as much hurt as distracted by the rudo chants. Whip, clothesline misses Místico back with a headscissors. Místico off the ropes, tope - Místico kicks the ropes on the way thru and comes up a little short. Mephisto whiffed on the catch to, which doesn’t help. Mephisto in, Místico on the apron, Místico swing kicks him away, springboard 'rana, Mephisto rolls thru and grabs the bottom rope, one two three.

2: Hey look, Mephisto has Místico on the top rope and is going after his mask. Loco Estrada yells at Mephisto, perhaps for never ever learning. Kick. Mephisto stops to pose. Crowd is a lot quieter than it was earlier, or even last match, but Mephisto gets a Mephisto chant going and encourages him. What a horrible rudo. One kick, Místico dead. You can not blame the fns for cheating for the bad guy. Místico’s done two moves, blown one of them, and has been completely dead from simple kicks. Mephisto casually covers Místico, one two pull him up. Mephisto get Místico's foot off the ropes, covers, one two pull him up. Why am I bothered? They ain't. Mephisto shows off his punches, which are apparently all in the rest. Taunting the fans. Actively taunting them, not taunting them in terms of the quality level of this match but in derisive gesture. Going for the mask. Corner whip, Mephisto charges, Místico is suddenly totally fine and escaping a corner whip,. Drop toe hold, 619, springboard headscissors. Místico ear cuping. Springboard 'rana goes mostly okay, one two three.

3: Místico does a flipping run and blows a headscissors. Probably not a good time to ask the fans what they think. Headscissors out, running slingshot tope con giro connects much better. Back in, Místico 'rana, one two no. Oh, we're at this part of the show. A 23 second break between moves, though there seems to be a clip (or another bad camera choice) in here, and that doesn't included Mephisto stopping for cheers. Mephisto dumps Místico on his face, covers, does not win. Mephisto argues the count for 11 seconds, almost trips over Místico backing up, and does some stomps. Místico trips Mephisto up, runs full speed at him, is flipped to the apron and knocked to the floor. Místico takes a nice fall to the floor. Mephisto to the apron – Asai moonsault connects! Don’t see that out of him much. Back inside, Mephisto rolls thru a sunset flip, kicks Místico, yells at the crowd, then covers. This does not win the match. Devil's wings – Mephisto holds up Místico for a while, then drops him. Mephisto sits on his knees, takes a few deep breaths, cups his hand to his ear, and then walks on his knees over. One two kickout. I'm shocked he didn’t get the pin after all that stalling before trying it. No reaction from the crowd for kicking out of a finish. Whip, yet another headscissors, yet another dive – this time is a tornillo, Místico landing on his feet. Back inside, Mephisto misses a corner charge, Místico charges, is sat on the top rope and crotched. Místico facing out, Mephisto behind him. Ah, I know what finish this is. Crucifix powerbomb is reversed into a headscissors even before Mephisto leaps, and it's not much of a headscissors. One two no. Místico burns 15 seconds here, then jumps up and puts Mephisto into a tapatía. Referee Loco is very excited here, but Mephisto wont' give. Both shoulders down, both staying down – one two three, draw.

Místico is sure he won, not so much. Crowd gets up to leave. A large portion of the crowd gets up to leave, which is funny because this is obviously supposed to be a false finish. Pato Soria and very old commissioner (Septiembre Negro?) offer another fall, and the crowd approves. Mephisto doesn't like the idea, but they order the match to continue.

4: Mephisto rushes Místico and kicks him down. Mask ripped up. Mephisto lets the crowd know about it, while Místico lays on the mat and recovers. Whip, Místico back with la Mistica, thinks for coming, see you next week. Loco Estrada falls on his back calling the finish, because it's supposed to be a big match. It's not.

Props to the Teleformula graphic people for improvising a graphic with a spot for a fourth fall. Místico challenges for the NWA Welterweight title. Mephisto says he doesn’t care what Místico wants, he won't defend the title in front of these people.
