CMLL Guadalajara on Teleformula #13 (09/18/2010)
Recapped: 09/22/10

Last week, Shocker no-showed his announcing gig. This week, he's there, but Felino and JCR refuse to talk to him. This actually works out perfectly for Shocker, who gets take the microphone and spend all the time talking himself. (And he actually knows the matches.) Shocker can not be stopped. Shocker even refuses to give the microphone!

Match 1: Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata, Rush © vs Sangre Azteca ©, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 08/24/2010

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 18:29
Rating: OK
Notes: Japanese have odd generic music. Angels are wearing Santos Laguna jerseys.

1: Long mat section is Oro vs Azteca. Rush/Yoshihashi, no one days, but I do drift off for a bit and suddenly Okumura and Angel de Plata are in. Plata is cut from a die when he slowly walks into a Yoshihashi's dropkick, when kicks of everyone kicking everyone else out. Plata ends it by sliding out after Angel de Oro, and being ambushed by the rest of the rudos. Beatdown from there. Holding and hitting. Rush manages punch heavy comeback on Azteca, but his teammates pull him off. This is a long first fall. Lots of hard slaps, anyway. Low blow corner dropkick on Rush. Plat takes the missile dropkick, and that's enough to finish off half. Sangre Azteca takes care the other.

2: Beatdown continues, is not particularly interesting. Angel de Plata sidesteps corner charges to start the comeback. Yoshihashi takes a catapult into Rush's fireman's carry powerbomb, with a pointless senton thrown in. Angels finish at just about the same time. Angel de Oro's finish is never really shown.

3: técnico showcase. Besides Sangre Azteca taking the Required monkey flip, the most interesting thing is Felino saying he sees a little bit of Perro Aguayo Sr. in Rush. A little bit. Event hat may offended the entire Aguayo family. Triple dive sequence seems very anticlimactic – maybe because Rush goes to pose when he's supposed to be setting up his dive, and the match halts until the Angels can focus him. Double Asai moonsault and big tope by Rush. Sangre Atzeca tries to suplex Rush in, and Rush has enough problems reversing it to small package that the announcers even laugh about it. Rush and Oro get time killing submissions, but Angel de Plata jumps into Sangre's dropkick, and that's really end. Others get beat when trying to break up the pin. Yoshihashi's finish isn't really shown.

Match 2: Máximo & Rotoporky vs Atlantis & Mr. Niebla
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 08/24/2010

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 15:14
Rating: bad comedy
Notes: Mr. Niebla has a Kid Mr. Niebla with him. Porky looks fatigued walking to the ring.

1: Porky throws his rubbed jacket onto Niebla, Niebla reacts badly, rudos start the beatdown. A lot of comical slapping and yelling, and then the rudos win. Máximo loses to a Niebla slap. Why am I watching this show? I have no idea. Rudos can only get Porky part way up on the tapatía but that's part impressive.

2: Comeback is Máximo ducking under a double clothesline and Porky slowly clotheslines them. Máximo does the repeated splash but on both the rudos, until finally getting out of the way so his father can fall on top.

3: Usual bits from the técnicos. Máximo wants to kiss the rudos, Niebla want to lick him, Máximo is uncomfortable with that. Long tease of Máximo kissing Atlantis. Niebla's very proud of himself for catching his own spit in his mouth, though he's not as good on the second try. I think Niebla would look really out of shape in any other match. Máximo opts not to kiss Niebla after his usual kick block spot, but Niebla licks him instead. Crowd goes insane. Porky and Atlantis have had enough of this and walk out. (But then they came back.) Porky runs the ropes so slow, and Niebla hobbles around making fun of him. Porky cracks himself up when Máximo falls down after running into him. Atlantis tries to put Maximo in the two man tapatía, but Niebla is nowhere to be found. Niebla turns up, and then porky is nowhere to be found when it comes to snaking in for the pin. The longer you can stretch out bits, then less of them you have to do to fill the time. Porky sneaks in to cover by backing up. His legs will fit where his gut will not. Everyone kicks up. Fans are in to some of this, but I'd like a finish. Técnicos knock the rudos out and tease topes, but those aren't happening. Máximo dropkicks Niebla off the apron, teases a dive again, and heads up doing his plancha dive. Atlantis tries to sunset flip porky, Porky blocks, Atlantis sneaks in a foul. Referee turns around and counts the three.
