At a mask stand, Julio Cesar finds an Angel de Plata mask to hype the opener.
Match 1: Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Oro ©, Ángel de Plata vs Arkangel de la Muerte ©, Loco Max, Skándalo
Arena Mexico, 07/30/2010
técnicos
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 9:12
Rating: OK
Notes: Rudos enter as a gang. Loco Max interview looks old, but tha'ts because I just saw the hair match (and it hasn't happened yet.) Monito is with the técnicos for lack of anything better to do.
Fashion show highlights before the match. And a break.
Pompin and Babe Richard are referees.
1: Metal Angels vs Arkangel is interrupted by an accidental commercial from LATV. Huh. By the time they're back, rudos are in charge. Loco max teases doing the Skándalo stomping running low blow dropkick, but pulls up short, smiles, and kicks Angel de Oro hard in back side. Double rebound hiptoss for Azteca. Angel Azteca held on the ropes, and Skandalo's low blow dropkick sends him out of the ring and to the ramp. Plata held over the ropes for stereo flying axhandles. Double dropkick to the head, Arkangel getting to Plata late and just deciding to skip out on the dropkick. Angel de Oro whipped into each other, but avoids corner charge to start the comeback already. Loco stomps down Oro and holds him down, but the other Angel run past him for tope con giros near the corner, whipping out the other rudos. Oro recovers and quickly gets Loco in the mecedora. That's the fall.
2: Mostly técnico showcases. Angel de Oro looks the best. Angel Azteca almost gets pinned by Arkangel’s powerbomb, but it's just a switch to near falls and people breaking them up. Loco Max's mouth gets blurred out a couple of times. Loco escapes the mecedora, then fouls Angel de Oro on a corner kip up escape. Loco is able to clothesline Oro down, but both refs spotted it and pull him off to raise Oro's arm.
Again, they go to break during a promo, though is the Peste Negra one I've seen a few times by now.
More from the expo.
Out on the street, Magadan interviews Mr. Aguila. Why they’re on the street in front of Arena Coliseo for a match in Arena Mexico, Id o not know. (Well, this was taped later, I can figure that.)
Match 2: Felino, Negro Casas ©, Rey Bucanero vs Charlie Manson, Héctor Garza ©, Mr. Águila
Arena Mexico, 07/30/2010
Invasors
Negro Casas crossface Mr. Aguila (2:30)
Winner: Invasors (2-1)
Match Time: 10:24
Rating: amusing
Notes: Bucanero has the parrot with him. Charly Manson has the actual Beautiful People music, while Dark Angel has the cover version. It's important that you know this. Mr. Aguila is wearing his mask. Bucanero decides to charge Hector on the ramp and it goes very poorly for him. Referees are Tirantes and Tigre Hispano
1: Invaders take control, working over the Peste Negra with corner charges. Manson spinebusters Rey, grabs him in a catapult and pulls him up for a Hector Garza side kick, and holds him over his legs for an Aguila legdrop. Aguila gets Negro with a sliding dropkick, but the parrot is safe. Negro held on the apron, and Hector takes off his pants before giving Negro a running kick. Felino takes corner clotheslines, ending with an Aguila boosted leg lariat. Double boot for him, and Aguila and Garza pulls him into a double tapatía. Charly cuts off Rey from making the save, then gives him a spinebuster and puts on El Pozo. Mr. Aguila adds a chinlock, and Garza takes out Rey with a kick to the face.
More fashion show highlights.
2: Garza can't resists swiping at the parrot, but Tiger Hispano prevents him from doing more. Rey manages a quebradora con giro on Garza, but the others get on him before he can't do any more. Is Rey going to wrestle the whole match in the heavy red overcoat? That seems harsh. Negro held in the tree of woe, and taken out with sliding dropkicks to the head by Charlie (a very odd one) & Aguila. Garza is whipped in to land one of his own, but the Parrot cuts him off with the stop sign. Crowd roars in approval. Garza kicks at the Parrot, the Parrot holds on, Garza is finally able to shake him loose, just in position for Rey to flatten him with a plancha. Aguila and Charly miss elbow drops, and the Peste Negra runs wild. Brawling all over the place. Charlie gets a welcome with Negro’s square dropkick to the face. Garza takes his hip flip to the outside, and the Parrot dives on him, Garza catches him, sets him down, and kicks him – then turns into Rey's slingshot tope con giro. Negro gets blurred?! Chop fight with Aguila goes well for Aguila, since he has the Road Warrior vest on and all. Aguila pounds his own chest, and Negro pounds him in the (exposed, ample) midsection. Corner whip, reversed, Negro manages a dropkick to the knee, crossface, Aguila's done. Meanwhile, Felino moonsault bodyblocks Charlie for the other pin.
3: Rey apparently is going to wrestle the whole match in that coat. He and Garza have a slow start, which includes the Parrott goosing Garza as he takes off his shirt, and Garza chasing the parrot into a quebradora con giro. Charly Manson seems baffled at being the straight man for this match, but tries to lead the crowd in a chat for one of them. Charly makes short jokes with Felino, an odd way to go since there's about two inches of two difference between them. Their exchange spills out into the ramp, where Charly takes the bounce off the outside of the ropes into a hard forearm. Felino comes back into celebrate, and gets booted by Aguila. Aguila gets blurred when Negro finally gets him to take off his chest protector for a chop fight. Negro thinks he's won with a jumping heel kick, but Aguila does him one better. Corner whip, Aguila charges in, Negro ducks down, and Aguila near crotches himself on the post. Negro runs Aguila over with a silla – lots of odd music being played randomly here. Felino backdrops Charly to the apron, and rubs his arm pit in his face. Charly spits up and gets kicked to the floor. Felino plancha! Replay. Rey and Hector left. Garza backflips out of a corner charge, but Rey dropkicks him and covers. Tirantes counts – one........two...kickout. Rey up and grabbing Tirantes, but Garza makes the save with a kick. Corner whip, reversed, Rey charges, and you can see the Tirantes trip coming the whole way. Bucanero recovers quickly and grabs Tirantes by the suspenders, but Garza inside cradles Bucanero to pull him off, and Tirantes counts a snappy three. That's the match. Invaders celebrate as Tirantes points out his completely fair one two three.
Replay of the finish.
