CMLL Guadalajara on Teleformula #3 (07/10/2010)
Recapped: 07/22/10

Watching the web version again. The process to get it on my TV has totally screwed up the sound, so hopefully I’m missing out on the exciting Rey Bucanero commentary. He's subbing for Shocker, since Shocker is in the main event.

Match 1: Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, Máximo vs Mephisto, Terrible, Texano
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 06/22/2010

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:33
Rating: zzzzzz
Notes: Mascara and Máximo are wacky before the match. As Terrible & Texano hug, Mascara lifts up Mascara's skirt to see what's underneath. Máximo then tries to hip bump with Fantasma, and then he and Mascara are incapable of executing a high ten except on the second try. Mascara's left into start the fall, so Máximo reaches in the ring and grabs him some of Mascara’s backside. Eventually, the match actually starts.

1: Mascara and Texano start and are even until Mascara holds him into a double armbar and walks him over to Máximo. This doesn't last long until Terrible cheap shots Máximo from the outside, and the rudos rush the técnicos. Double boot for Fantasma. Mephisto goes for Máximo’s eyes. Mascara takes the catapult/legdrop combo, and that's enough for him. Devil’s Wings on Fantasma for the fall. Terrible bites Máximo on the back side to kill time between the falls.

2: Rudos still in control. Fantasma and Mascara try rushing at the same time, but the Occidente Tag Team champions take care of them. Mascara gets caught on missed corner charge, and Terrible goes after his behind too. What a strange spot to repeat. Mephisto beats up maxim on the outside. More biting. Terrible works in some licking of Máximo this time. Maybe he should eat before his match? Maybe I should be watching something not mailed in? Mascara easily escape a double rebound hiptoss, Terrible and Texano hit Mephisto (who slowly falls down), and Fantasma gets the other two with armdrags. Superkick, check. Kiss (on Mephisto), check. Máximo teas a tope, ends up with a dive off the apron. Reminding rudos weakly clothesline Fantasma, but Fantasma reverses a toss into a ‘rana on to Texano, and Mascara gets Terrible with a casita.

3: Mascara easily goes thru Terrible and Texano, but has to remove his shirt to take care of Mephisto. That seem to do a trick, a flying armdrag sends Mephisto out, and Mephisto adds a quebradora on the floor. Fantasma’s sequence is more Terrible and Texano wackiness, including revenge biting. Máximo is Máximo. Double shoulderblock sends him out, and the two masked técnicos are left in versus the two unmasked rudos. Rudos collide into each other, inside cradles, one two no. Mascara and Fantasma dropkick (or rolling dropkick) the rudos out and follow with topes. Máximo and Mephisto back in, Maximo tries for a kiss again, Mephisto blocks it but doesn't immediately follow. Instead, he runs off the ropes, right into Máximo’s sit down powerbomb. That's it.

Match 2: Shocker vs Héctor Garza
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 06/22/2010

  1. Hector Garza suplex (4:52)

  2. Shocker Dos Caras clutch (2:53)
  3. Shocker mule foul kick (4:54)

Winner: Shocker (2-1)
Match Time: 12:39
Rating: ok. Crowd was into it.
Notes: Shocker seems excited for this match, which makes one of us.

1: Hector jumps Shocker while he's still posing on the ropes. Guess he’s in a hurry to start. Corner whip, corner clothesline. Garza takes time to yell at people. Choke on the ropes. Shocker tossed to the outside. Hector still hasn’t taken off his shirt or pants, so this will be a while. Garza takes Shocker a headlock ride into the crowd, then fakes punches while the ref asks them to please return to the ring. Back towards the ring, but not I n it. Chest slap. Shocker into the post. A fan insists on raising Hector's arms, and Hector will allow it. Shocker set up on apron for a forearm to the back. Pants off, and Garza uses them to blind Shocker from his running kick. Garza lets Shocker in, whip, reversed, and Shocker gets a quebradora. Garza claims a low blow, and Shocker gets kicked while looking to the ref. Corner slap. Shocker tries to fight back, and is kicked own. Whip, sunset flip, Garza rolls thru, and nails Shocker with a knee to face. Garza lays on Shocker's chest for a pin, one two no. Garza suplex, cover with a foot on the rope – he's not even in a position to get leverage, Hector is doing it because he can – one two three.

2: Back out, so Shocker can get crotched on the post. Garza comes back in so he can strip his shirt off. Shocker stumbles in, Garza throws his shirt and him and dropkicks him with the distraction. Corner whip, corner clothesline. Corner whip, Shocker covers it, throws Garza back the other way, clothesline, bulldog. This loses something with the crowd reaction. Shocker boots Garza out, and cashes him around the ring. Punch, and back towards the crowd where Garza took Shocker. A female fan hits Garza with his a jacket multiple times. Garza acts like he's going to takes a swing, and Shocker hits him in the back. Shocker tosses Gaza in and walks around the outside, fired up. Crawling back in – no, Garza's got him with a kick. Garza off the ropes, running clothesline to Shocker, and some mocking to the crowd. Shocker slaps the mat. Garza off the ropes, clothesline misses, and Shocker hooks him in a Dos Caras clutch for the finish.

3: Hector falls down on the ramp, so he can look up the ring girl's skirt. (She bends over to help). Shocker attacks Garza on the ramp, and chases him back in. Standoff. Garza asks for a handshake. How many handshake has he asked for in his life? Shocker's into taking it, though they stall for a bit. Garza kicks Shocker in the midsection, and mocks the fans who are cheering for him. Blowing kisses to the crowd. Talking to the crowd. Whip, reversed, Garza goes over, under, misses a clothesline, flips over a backdrop, Shocker off the ropes, waved by, corkscrew armdrag sends Garza to the corner. Garza charges, and keeps on charging for three more armdrags. One two no. Shocker knocks down Garza, poses, and slingshot him into the corner. Slap to the backside. Garza crawls out, and Shockers up – tope, both going hard into the front row. I think both of them might have hit an arm rest. Replays as they recover. Garza just keeps going backwards, and they collided hard with the front row, maybe Garza's head into the back of a seat. Shocker tries to crawl in, Garza pulls him back out, slides in himself, then knocks Shocker down. Garza takes off his wrist tape? Suplex in, no, Shocker reverses it to a small package inside, one two no. Garza up, bodyscissors cradle, one two NO. Casita, one two no. Garza question the referee on his counts, Shocker charge for a boot, Garza deflects the boot, Shocker stops in front of the ref, Garza dropkicks Shocker down and gets the ref too. Ref is hurt. Not out but looking the wrong way. Garza tries a foul kick, Shocker blocks it, Garza waistlock, Shocker foul mule kick. One more, guess the first one didn't hit. Shocker covers, one two three.

Lots of post match mic talk that I fly thru
