Match 1: Mini Halloween (c), Mr. Aguilita, Mini Violencia vs Shockercito (c), Niño de Acero, Mascarita Dorada
Arena Mexico, 02/15/09

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:25
Approx Rating: Good fun
Other Match Notes: no entrances. Halloween looks like a paint store exploded on his gear. And Aguilita's hair.

1: Halloween and Shockercito start with that we see. Halloween rushes him with a clothesline and roars. Delayed cover for zero. Shockercito get a headlock, and Halloween can't spin free, as much as he tries. He eventually gets out to an armbar. Corner whip, Shockercito to the middle rope, kicking Halloween away, DDT – no, Halloween Northern light suplex one two no. Halloween tries to scoop Shockercito up, but he slips behind for an elbow driver. One two no. Shocker off the ropes, spinning headscissors into a general falling down down – he kinda misses on the armdrags, and Halloween stomps him while he's down rather than go along with it. Chest slap war ends with both guys throwing each other the ropes and fighting it out there. Meanwhile, Niño and Aguilita fight, then both turn and dive to the floor on the others, Acero pulling off a double jump armdrag. Dorada takes Violencia over with a headscissors as he comes in. Springboard – dropkicked by Violencia, as Dorada was turning around for a plancha. Didn't get a lot of him, but enough to hold him down for the double armbar.

2: Rudos in complete control. Violencia holds up Shockercito for the Halloween chest breaker. Dorada stands on the middle rope waiting to get punched, but the rudos just yell at him for a bit. Dorada held up in powerbomb position, and Halloween rides him to the mat. Aguilita going up, though his partners aren't quite sure for what. Dorada's bent over and sort of takes a legdrop to the back. Aguilita talks to Dorada a bit as Niño's pulled in. Spinebuster, giant swing, dropkick to the head, Violencia adds a senton for fun. Shockercito and Dorada bought back in. Violencia laughs while the other two hold the tecnicos. Halloween picks up Shockercito in a wheelbarrow so he's higher for chops, while Dorada's held in a full nelson. Violencia off the ropes, and tripped up by Niño, while the others get free and take out the tecnicos with bodyscissors. Everyone goes out to the floor, and Violencia and Niño come back in, though Niño is all sorts of hesitant. Flipping run, over the back flip on a backdrop, shoulderblock, springboard, to a headscissors (almost losing it, then and doing a very bad looking one.) Violencia goes out, and Niño pretty much completely misses him on a slingshot tope con giro. Other four in, and tecnicos get up and over sunset flips for th pin.

3: Violencia over Niño de Acero to start the fall. Tag to Aguilita, who continues with with a kick to the back. Whip, Niño goes under, but still eats the wheel kick. Whip, Aguilita misses a clothesline, Niño gets him with a headscissors. He's not very good. Shockercito tagged in, but runs into a standing heel kick. Shockercito whipped, back with bodyscissors and flips free, pulling Aguilita down by his hair. Shockercito off the ropes, looking agile with a quick headscissors, and posing in the ring as Aguilita goes out. Halloween in, Halloween taken down by Dorada with a flying headscissors. Armdrag sense Halloween to the corner. Dorada charges, gets flipped to the corner, and comes back with a tope. Whip, reversed, Dorada back with a spinning headscissors into an armdrag into a headscissors – almost losing it but making it work at the end. Halloween goes flying out, but Aguilita gets Dorada in a full nelson. Violencia takes quite long to set up his dropkick and still get his partner. Dorada lures Violencia into a Shockercito flying headscissors, and Shocker follows out with a nice tope. Niño in, Niño to the ropes where Dorada does nice Asai moonsault out onto Halloween, and Niño does his own to Aguilita. Everyone down, who's going to make it back in? Halloween in, with both Shockercito and Dorada in from the other side. Shockercito sets up Halloween in the corner, and Dorada runs up the ropes for a moonsault. Dorada covers, Shockercito poses, one two three. Nice knowing you.

Match 2: Pequeño Damian 666 vs Bam Bam in a lightning match
Arena Mexico, 02/13/09

Winner: 5:10
Match Time: Pequeño Damian 666 double underhook piledriver
Approx Rating: Good, though a brief version of their previous matches
Other Match Notes: Entrances. Bam Bam has his belt, which we really haven't seen much of lately. Damian has a great makeup job.

1: Match picks up on the mat, leading to zero trip pins, Damian actually screwing up on purpose to show he's been out skilled. Damian get an armbar and throws Bam Bam all over the place with it before a while. Shoulderblock, off the ropes, dropkick, no one's home, Damian sticks himself in the ropes, and Bam Bam goes a long way to make the guillotine legdrop work. Bam Bam sweeps Damian out with a dropkick, and Asai Moonsault into Damian and the second rope. Throw chair collapses easily, but they still seemed to hurt a lot for out participant. Corner whip, Bam Bam charges and nails Damian with a superkick as he bounces out. Bam Bam fired up, but probably needs to try and finish off the man while he can. Fireman's carry drop, and Bam Bam going up. Moonsault? East feet! Pequeño Damian is very proud of his dental work there. Chop, whip, Bam Bam tossed up, and shoulder powerslammed down hard. Damian celebrates being Damian, then whips Bam Bam again for a big inverted powerslam. Damian attacks Bam Bam's head with more punches. You'd think being a caveman would give Bam Bam a strong skull. Guess not. Bam Bam abandons the ring, Damian rushes towards him for a dive and aborts to a roll to the floor when Bam Bam comes back in. Damian's still slow to recover from that, and gets crushed by Bam Bam's tornillo. Replays. Bam Bam brings the fight back in. Whip, Bam Bam 'rana on Damian one two no. Bam Bam needs something big in the ring to put this away. Bam Bam clothesline misses, Damian hooks Bam Bam on his clothesline – double underhook piledriver! Bam Bam didn't tuck his head at all and got killed, no many times Magadan want to say crotch slam.

Bam Bam is down and not much moving after that. Referee waves to the back for some help already. Damian celebrates – he should be getting another title shot, right?

Match 3: Ultimo Guerrero vs Dos Caras Jr.
Arena Mexico, 02/15/09

  1. Dos short armscissors (0:31)
  2. Ultimo Guerrero powerbomb (1:57)
  3. Dos German suplex (9:11)

Winner: Dos Caras Jr.
Match Time: 11:39
Approx Rating: Not as much boos as I'd be led to believe, but I'd boo him.
Other Match Notes: Entrances. UG has the belt, and is already fighting with Dos when they come back from the graphics. Rafa el Maya is the ref.

1: Dos nails UG with the corner enziguri. Crowd LOUDLY booing. Either he really blew stuff that was clipped out or they came out to hate him today. UG charges into a spinning backbreaker, which just serves a pause during the boots. Waistlock, spun out into the short armscissors takedown and submission. Falls over like that. BOOOOOOOO. There are Dos Caras junior fans, the camera takes a much pains to find them.

2: Ultimo off the ropes, over, and dropping Dos with a back elbow. Whip, clothesline misses, Ultimo clothesline mises, Dos flips free of a tilt-a-whirl and headscissors UG. Out. Dos runs, but slides out when UG slides in. UG misses another clothesline as Dos come sin, Dos tries a 'rana, UG powerbomb, one two three. Two falls under a minute! The first fall was clipped, but still.

3: Wrestlers star the fall with a pose off, which is not a good idea with how the crowd feels about Dos today. UG ambushed Dos with chest slaps. Dos counts his off, and there's a lot of crowd counting back. Enziguri is somewhere around the shoulder, and not enough for a three count. Dos waves for support, instead of actually following up. Kick is caught by UG, who spins him and clotheslines. One two no. Oh please don't tell me they're going to do seven more minutes of this. Both slow up. Dos again waving to the crowd. UG to one knee, so Dos kicks him in the side of the head once, twice, caught third time so Dos 'ranas him one two no. Slow back up. UG not feeling like standing this time. Dos walking around and waving to the crowd before following up. Chop. Corner whip, Dos charge in, UG sunset cradle pin, one two no. The problem with these near falls I they're disconnected. UG should continue to control, he just got the big change in momentum, but they both just are laying on the mat, and whoever gets to do something next is just random. Dos backs UG in the corner. Corner whip, reverses, UG takes the knee bump to the floor after missing the corner charge. Dos goes up – thank god he did a plancha instead of a tope. Not a good shot of the impact, but there sure looked to be a lot of it. Dos in first, and since this is every MVS main event singles match ever, he faces the wrong way, gets dropkicked in the knee, and gets pulled into a caverneria. Doesn't work this time either, but it does allow them to promote the Two Legends show! One arm drop, two – no, just one. Dos tries to wave to the crowd to rally back. Is Dos deaf? Seriously now. The boos do make the tecnicos fans fight harder for their cheers, and the cameraman work header to find every single Dos mask in the crowd. UG whip, reversed, every spot has to have a reversed whip doesn't it? Dos puts his head down too soon, so UG scoops him up into an inverted Gory. Dos pulls himself up and over for the headscissors roll, UG reverses into a bodyscissors cradle. That's the other thing, no one just does a move, there are four reversals and a move is done. Crowd isn't as booing as much as they were early, but Dos is till looking and nodding at them between each fall. Dos walks to the corner for no reason. UG charges and him, grabs his head, and snap mare him over. Dos back up to the corner, corner whip, reversed, UG sits on the top rope, So climbs up to join him, but UG pulls him off – front superplex one two NO. There's one guy in like the second row who was sure Ultimo was going to win and wanted to be standing to celebrate it. Not quite. Both slow up. Dos nodding again., but don't get around to doing anything until Ultimo Guerrero grabs him, and powerbombs him! Ultimo Guerrero is a strong dude. UG decides to go up, which not end well – senton con giro comes up empty, Dos covers one two NO. Dos up, and Dos standing in the corner talking to the crowd. Dos then walks back over to Ultimo, but Ultimo scoops him up and slams him. Ultimo going up again? Dos stops him with a punch this time, and climbs up to join him. Both on the very top rope – superplex. One two NO. Both down and slow up again. Dos leaning over the ropes to wave to the fans again. Dos whip, UG misses a clothesline, Dos kicks him, press him, drops him, and German suplexes him. One two three. A lot more cheers for the finish than I had supposed, but the boos do come in late.

UG just lays on the mat forever, dead, not moving at all. Eventually, the doctor comes in to see if UG is still with us. This is a fine way of getting out of a definite date for the title match. UG still isn't moving when they give him the stretcher out. Replay of the German. Taking a German suplex can't ever be a fun time it looks like the impact is on his shoulder and not his head. I think it was just a fine sell.
