CMLL FSE GdR - 11/30/08 (#121)
Recapped: 12/02/08
Match 1: Satanico (c), Euforia, Nosferatu vs Stuka
Jr. (c), Flash, Leono
Arena Coliseo, 11/23/08
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 6:08
Approx Rating: short, clipped, worst of the series
Other Match Notes: Entrances. Leono has giant black gloves. Flash &
Stuka do a promo about wanting the mask match before they do the title match.
I'm all for elevating the titles, but I'm thinking no on that one. Infernales
enter as a group! I like that trend. Infernales want the belts.
1: Joined with the beatdown underway. Flash takes corner charges and a spear from Nosferatu, kinda underwhelming for that combination. (Nosferatu only kinda winged him.) Leono whipped into a spinebuster/open hand slap combo, and pinned off that! Stuka's takes the double armbar leg tie up submission.
2: Stuka takes corner charges. Leono ducks a double clothesline, Satanico takes it instead. Euforia kicks out Leono, but the other tecnicos get the other rudos with springboard armdrags, to send them out. Flash is the new king of the big springboard plancha, and Stuka gets Euforia with a half twist pescado form the ring post. Leono and Satánico left, Leono gets a plancha, then an armdrag into a double armbar. Somehow, Satanico gives.
3: Euforia is out on the floor, recovering from something, as the fall is joined. They pick up with Satanico vs Leono, Satanico managing to fake a foul of a backbreaker. Euforia comes in to support him, and kick Leono out. Stuka gets suckered into a sneak attack from Nosferatu, and quickly booted out. Replay of Satanico's attempt at drawing a foul. Nosferatu puts on a standing double armbar on Flash right in front of the tecnico corner and dates someone to break it up. Leono does, then gives Nosferatu a fireman's carry powerbomb. Surprising strength. Rudos break it up, and all end up in. Double spinebuster, and Satanico kicks Leono out. Rudos hold him there for a Satanico dive, except the other other tecnicos pull him out. Stuka and Euforia are the first ones in, Stuka miss ea dropkick, Euforia bumps him, walks over to the other corner where Flash is waiting, and catches his plancha attempt into a powerslam. Euforia wraps up that pin, while Nosferatu catches Stuka's attempt at a springboard plancha and drops him with a spinning slam.
Stuka cuts the rudos off from challenging, promising to give them a title shot, after they put up their masks. Announcers talk all over Euforia's response, which is a good way to make it look irrelevant. Rudos don't seem to think much off that challenge, anyway.
Match 2: Averno (c), Mephisto, Ephesto vs Mistico
(c), Sombra, Mascara Dorada
Arena Coliseo, 11/23/08
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 16:29
Approx Rating: Disappointing, for sure.
Other Match Notes: We can't hear the reaction for Mistico because
they're back to the music overdub, but some of it bleeds thru over the generic
music. Jauria enters as a group.
1: Mistico starts, but all we see from him waving to the loud chant. Then he tag in Sombra, and they chant for him. Ephesto is annoyed at the fans for this. This a lot less clipped than the last match, so we get to see Sombra and Ephesto work on the the mat, and Mistico's exchange with Mephisto. Mep ends up being headscissors out the floor and standing on the stage. Mistico decides to give chase, but is immediately kicked form behind by Ephesto. Tecnico and rudos all rush to the spot, but the rudos quickly get control. Mephisto welcomes Mistico back to Arena Coliseo by dropping him on the side all of the ramp. Sombra's worked over in the ring while everyone Dorada disappears for a little bit. He does try to help out Mistico, and gets beat for it. Averno brings in Mistico to work on his mask. Rudos really just take turns trying to get it off. Averno eventually pulls him down, whips him, and gets a swinging headscissors. Ephesto and Mephisto take down Mistico with a double boot before more harm can come. Sombra worked over next. Ephesto takes the double rebound hiptoss splash onto Sombra for one pin. Dorada gets in a few shots, but also gets powerbombed, and that's the end of him.
2: The beatdown goes on. Mistico is tossed into a double gutbuster and has quite the bounce. Hey, Guerrero del Futuro thought it was safe to watch from the entrance door, and then Sombra and Mephisto started fighting over there to draw the camera on him. That'll teach him. Rudos get it back together to triple team Mistico again, and Mistico promptly reveres a the double rebound hiptoss into a headscissors on Mephisto. Rudos wave him by on the net pass, so Mistico goes head and topes Mephisto. Tecnicos back in with springboard headscissors, and out do the guys in the last match with stereo tope con giros. Mistico and Mephisto back in, crowd chanting for Mistico again. Is Mistico hopping or limping? Off the ropes, up and over sunset flip, one two three. Not the captain, pin counted anyway.
3: Ring girl deftly steps around Mephisto's ko-ed body on the aisle. I'm not sure if he's still selling the dive or something later, because it looks like Mistico's been running thru the rudos during the break. Mistico is screwing with the referees as they return to the match, and we missed whatever setup was there. Assuming there was one. Dorada in to start against Ephesto. While the rudos working over Dorada in the rudo corner, there's a ring crew guy tightening the top rope in the same place at the same time. Kinda late for that, this is the last fall of the main event. Dorada promptly flubs walking up the ropes and slips to the mat. Guess the rope was loose! That sucks. Rudos rally by beating up Dorada for a bit, and Dorada makes his comeback with a monkey flip into a headscissors on Averno, and a rope grab headscissors on Ephesto. Crowd not into him. Tag to Mistico. Crowd into him. Averno and Mistico battle for crowd reactions. Mistico suggests a pose off, and gets kicked down from behind. Mistico pops p to mock the rudos as they celebrate, and so they kick him down more. Corner whip, Mephisto charges into boots almost too him by Mistico), and Mistico charges out for an armdrags/headscissors combo. Flipping run, boosted headscissors on Mep, and we're back where we started. By that, I mean stopping to wave to the crowd for reaction. Mistico with a spinning armdrags into a headscissors to send Averno out. Tag? Ephesto's in before Mistico decides, but he tags out to Sombra anyway. Sombra off the ropes, up the body, armdrag for Ephesto to send him out. Headscissors for Averno, but Mephisto gets in an elbow to stop this. Stop to pose. Rudos bumble their way thru a Sombra comeback, with Sombra pulling out a springboard front flip headscissors (timing is a little slow), then switching from a walk up the ropes armdrag into a springboard moonsault to the floor. Mistico back into Averno. They're just going to let Dorada hang out there on the apron. Fireman's escape spinning headscissors sends Averno out. Mistico goes to the apron, tells Dorada to hold the middle rope steady (Mistico's no fool!) and lands a picture perfect Asai Moonsault. Dorada in with a springboard armdrags on Ephesto, and a pescado the floor. (A PESCADO? Even better, he hurt himself on it?) Other for all back in. Tecnicos miss dropkicks, Rudos get shoved off into each other, Sombra boosted up, and only connects with Averno. Mephisto tries to clothesline Mistico, but Mistico catches him and fireman's carry drops him in the corner to set up Sombra. Sombra taking his time before going up, looking at the crowd, killing more time, climbing up, and finally fouled by Ephesto. Ref was busy with Averno, for whatever reason. (The other ref is busy with Dorada, which probably means he was supposed to do a dive where the ref was concerned with him after impact. Not a pescado.) Averno evades Mistico, but can't put off taking that Mistica forever. Lucky for him, the ref is looking the wrong way (wait, no, he isn't - ref turns, sees the spot, turns back to whatever he was supposed to be distracted by - so bad) and Mephisto yanks off Mistico's mask. Averno covers Mistico while covering him up, and gets the win.
Tecnicos are left laying. Mistico eventually gets his mask back. Replays. Mistico demands a rematch with any of the rudos one on one, or a tag match with Sombra. Mascara Dorada has vanished from both our minds and our hearts. Oh wait there he is. Just our minds, then.
Video package, and it'ts over.
