CMLL FSE GdR - 10/05/08 (#113)
Recapped: 10/10/08
They show Valiente's dive gone horribly wrong right in the open, so we can waste no time being horrified
Outside the Ring: Diamante Negro, who does change masks to Dragon Rojo in the middle of this.
Match 1: Loco Max, Sangre Azteca, Satánico (c) vs Máscara Púrpura, Tony
Rivera (c), Valiente
Arena Coliseo, 09/28/08
Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 7:01
Approx Rating: eh. Not excited for the singles match.
Other Match Notes: New generic music! Tony does the interview for his
side, then confronts Loco max in the aisle. Loco gets him to back up to the ring
without a fight, which is quite the accomplishment. Tony finally goes after Loco
Max by the time Satanico comes out, which backfires obviously. Loco sounds sane
for most his interview, than loses in the last five seconds.
1: Loco Max beats Tony around the ring while the other rudos take out the other tecnicos rather easily in the ring. Dueling armbar submissions to end this quick.
2: Beatdown continues. Tony gets punched a lot by Satanico, tries to strike back, and Satanico tries to pull of his nose. The following corner whip charge evades, Tony ducks a double clothesline, and - just walks to the other corner to rest. Remaining rudos (Loco having thrown himself to the floor) kick Valiente as he comes in, walk him over of the ropes, and whip him into a tope on Loco Max. Purpura comes in with a plancha for Sangre and Satanico, Tony gets Sangre with an upset over sunset flip, and Purpura gets Satanico with an springboard reverse tope. Quick end. Tony goes after Loco on the floor, suplexing him on the ramp in between falls.
3: Purpura tries to brawl with Satanico, and that's a failure. Satanico holds Purpura in a standing backslide position for Sangre to beat, Purpura escapes nicely to an armdrag and headscissors. Rudos bump each other out, and Purpura gets Sangre with a handspring armdrags. Tony gets Sangre with a walk up rope armdrag, gets Satanico with an (accidental) tilt-a-whirl slam and follows with an elbow drop, which Satanico tries to claim was low. Loco charges in and gets backdropped and monkey flipped. Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, Tony put on an armbar, and the rudos come in to break it up. Rudos evade dropkicks from the tecnicos, but get rammed into each other on charge attempts. Purpura boosted into a dropkick on both, then lands on Satanico after a rolling pescado. Valiente goes for the Valiente special, but slips on the top rope when trying to springboard off, gets no push away the ring, and hits the apron with the left side of his face. He tried to get his hands down to deflect the blow but it didn't much work, and his legs swing around and clock Sangre in the head. The ringside doctor sprints over to check on both of them. Inside, Tony gets Loco with a super armdrag and rolls him up in a casita for the clean pin.
Valiente looks really out of it as he's carried off. Sangre is just holding his head, and they seem to be hurrying to get his boots off. They're supposed to be setting up the hair match here, but no one's paying attention it and it takes a while for them to get a microphone. I think they had to wait for the stretcher to drop off Valiente and come back, but it seems like they only have one. Tony makes his challenge as they're watching replays of Valiente's dive gone wrong. Satanico talking is the only one that really gets shown, and he's not even in the match.
Match 2: Damián 666 (c), Mephisto, Mr. Águila vs Felino, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas
(c)
Arena Coliseo, 09/28/08
Winner: Pesta Negra (2-1)
Match Time: 6:21
Approx Rating: pointless
Other Match Notes: Felino has a vest and cap and a bat, because he's a
tough guy now. Not to mention the black makeup. Metal and Negro seem a bit more
sane. Pesta Negra is all wacky in their promos. Damian goes for the time tested
method of calling his opponents girls names.
1: Rudos jump the rudos. Okay, it's the Pesta Negra in control. Brawling, and then a quick finish. Felino rolls thru a sunset flip, kicks Mephisto in the chest, and gets a pinfall off just that. Negro gets Aguila in crossface and taps immediately. Announcers talk about Tony/Loco next week
2: Pesta still in control. Aguila gets his arm stretched around the ropes for a bit. Negro headbutts Mephisto in the upper back a lot for some reason. Aguila ends up backflipping over a clothesline (which isn't even there when Aguila flip, but the flip does look nice) to start the comeback. Perro boots out the rudos, and Aguila takes out the non-Negro brothers with a tope con giro. Mephisto holds Negro over his knees for Damian's middle rope legdrop, and that's the fall.
3: Perros continue to dominate, though the wrestling is heavily Pesta Negra shenanigan based. Metal ends up taking out Mephisto with a tope, Negro fights a one one two to kick out Aguila and set up Damian for a top rope elbow drop (who immediately gets up, runs to the corner, and does his double jump plancha onto Aguila). Negro wraps up Damian with a casita for the win. SIX MINUTES. What a main event. Replays are almost longer than the fall. No post match interview.
