CMLL FSE GdR - 08/03/08 (#104)
Recap: 09/23/08

Match 1: Damián 666 (c), Mr. Águila, Texano Jr. vs Alex Koslov (c), Grey Shadow, Valiente
Arena Coliseo, 07/27/08

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-3)
Match Time: 8:17
Approx Rating: Okay.
Other Match Notes: Grey Shadow has a Cruz Azul jersey on. So does Alex. I guess that's where they were this weekend.  Alex and Shadow do a crazy indy promo in CMLL and it is great. Aguila has the full mohawk going. Perros get separate entrances so we can hear that music three times. They manage to do their promo together, for the 10 seconds it lasts.

1: Clipped  to start mid Perros beatdown. Shadow's held up for Texano's backcracker and Alex  is held up for Texano's dropkick. Perros beat up Monito in between falls, Texano even kicking him questionably low.

2: Continued Perro destruction. Shadow takes a suplex on the ramp. Alex grabs him on a whip to start the comeback, including Alex springboard forearm, Shadow spinning headscissors, and Valiente long tope. Texano seemed like he was standing too far up the apron, but Valiente still got there. forgets are left in the ring, Shadow gets Sliced Bread #2, while Alex enziguri Aguila to the ground and puts him in the Red Scare. Alex is slow letting go, which gives Valiente some time to mess with Aguila's hair. During the replays, Monito apparently gets some revenge on Texano, because Texano has to be held back after. The tecnicos hold him so Monito can get in a big slap and a questionably low blow. Monito makes fun of Aguila too,  and Aguila actually gets a shot in.

3:  Tecnico showcases.  Shadow is unnoteworthy. Valiente seems to mess up a moonsault springboard escape (landing on his stomach instead of his feet), but Texano was probably planning on superkicking him away and do he does with Valiente gets up. Valiente does end up doing a similar springboard flip escape spot later, lands it, and celebrates before being kicked by Aguila. That sets up Alex's run, featuring no less than two stops signs. Sadly, the one he didn't get is the one who knocks him down, as Texano kicks him from behind. Perro all pose in the corners and generally mock Alex, who spins around to his feet and armdrags and jump kicks everyone. Tope con giro hits Aguila in the back, and takes them out, Valiente gets a stalling submission on Texano, elevating Shadow and Damian. Shadow connects on a springboard plancha, but gets shoved off into Valiente to break up that submission. Shadow charges Damian again, gets tossed up to the corner, and pulled off for a valaguesa just as Texano giving his headcrusher to Valiente. That's it. Alex is too late to make the save, gets spin kicked by Aguila anyway, and Aguila covers. For once, they don't actually count the pin, pointing out to Aguila the fall is over. Aguila is sad.

Match 2: Pequeño Damian 666 vs Bam Bam for the CMLL Minis World Championship
Arena Coliseo, 07/27/08

  1. Bam Bam casita (5:13)
  2. Pequeño Damián 666 top rope splash (1:25)
  3. Bam Bam sunset flip (7:17)

Winner: Bam Bam, 11th Champion
Match Time: 13:55
Approx Rating: Really good.
Other Match Notes: Bam Bam reminds us he's already taking Damian's hair, now he wants the belt. Damian says he's #1, and it's not going to be like the hair match. Loco Max is Mini Damian's second. Fabian is Bam Bam's. They clip out the pre-match posing. Your ref is Pompin.

1: Circle, and no more because they have to acknowledge the big Bam Bam chant. Lockup, break. Lockup, break. Lockup, quick reversal end up with Damian having Bam Bam pinned with a wristlock, letting him up, and tossing him over into an armbar. Lots of action on the wrist. Bam Bam escapes and roll sup Damian with a grounded crucifix, but he escapes this easily. Battle to their feet, but Damian gets position, armdragging Damian down and holding them there with a chin lock. Bam Bam turns in, taking Damián down and putting on a leg grapevine. Damian breaks free, rolls Bam Bam on to his stomach, and gets a face yank camel clutch. Damian is warned about the illegal face yanking, so he lets go and doe sit again. Bam Bam slips out the second time he's warned, and ties up Damian's legs. Damian tries to get free, and does break free into a headlock, Enough of that, Damian just tosses Bam Bam by his hair. Warning is ignored. Bam bam does whine to the referee. Lockup, no, Bam Bam with a surprise takedown, and pinning Damian with a leg hold. Damian reverses into a cross armbreaker, and Bam Bam forces him down on to his back for a pin one two no. Bam bam tries it again, one two no. Bam bam gets free enough to put on a modified crossface - no armbar, though. Damian breaks free to a stand armbar, but Bam Bam roll s to an armdrag and we're back to square one. Bam Bam charge, Damian leapfrogs and back elbows him. Corner whip, reveres, Bam Bam charges, Damian moves out of the way, Bam Bam goes in, immediately back to the ropes, and missile dropkicks - air, because Damian moved. Damian picks up Bam Bam and whips him into the corner, but Bam Bam is again able to react quickly, running up the ropes and coming down with a big spinning headscissors. Damian out, Bam Bam quick to the apron - Asai Moonsault! Fabian work shard with the towel waving as Loco Max prefers to just yell advice. They're out in a row between the seats, not the normal ramp safe zone. Bam Bam recovers first and borings it back in. Whip, reverse, Bam Bam misses the clothesline but get a drop toe hold on the next try. Casita, one two THREE. That's one.

2: Damian wants a handshake to start. Bam Bam gives him a look of disbelief - after all this, he's going to shake hands? Nah. Bam Bam off the ropes, over, waved by, handspring escape as Damian swings wildly, and then dropkick Bam Bam out anyway. They're out by the crowd, camera right again, and Damian brows over Bam Bam with a running thru the ropes tope con giro. That was not a pretty move, but it was pretty effective at knocking Bam Bam down. Damian brings Bam Bam back in, who seemed to hurt his head there. Whip, Bam Bam tossed up, caught on Damian's shoulder, and powerslammed down. Damian sets up Bam Bam and makes sure the world knows he's going up. Damian stops to argue with Loco max, who's sure this is a bad idea. Damian pays no more mind to Loco Max than anyone else and goes up. Top rope splash CONNECTS. One two THREE. Loco Max just got owned there, but he focusing on congratulating Damian for tying this one up.

3: Third straight clean start to the fall. You don't see that much. Crowd still behind Bam Bam. Damian off the ropes, under, Bam Bam hiptoss blocked and reversed hard by Damián. Damián off the ropes, right into a superkick. Bam Bam is fired up but perhaps should follow up. He wants for Damian to get up, off the reps, under a clothesline, spinning headscissors sends Damian the ropes, but he stays in. Bam Bam pushes Damian with a shoulderblock, to the corner, springboard twisting plancha - meets dropkick? Something happened, because Damian got the better of it, but it wasn't really clear from the angle they gave us. Damian drags Bam Bam to the corner and points up again. Again, Loco Max thinks this is a bad idea, and this time Loco's arguing hurts because Bam Bam's up and moving before Damian's even positioned. Damian unwisely stands and stares at Bam Bam as he gets up, rushes up the ropes, and pulls Damian off with a middle rope 'rana. Bam Bam celebrates, then covers - wrong order! - one two NO. Whip, reversed, Bam bam grabs the ropes, Damian charges and ends up throwing himself out. Bam bam waits for him to get up and runs - double jump silla! That's different, perhaps not even on purpose. Damian rolls in, Bam Bam on the apron to come in with a springboard splash, one two no. It's slow count time, much to Bam Bam's annoyance. Bam Bam off the ropes, caught, spun around, and dropped for an inverted powerslam. Bam Bam gets his head up just enough for Damian to dropkick him. Bam bam retreats to the apron, but Damian dropkicks him off the there to the floor. Damian heading up, a little nervous looking, but going for it anyway - top rope plancha to the floor! Bam Bam spread his arms out as far as possible to make himself a big target there, which I'm sure Damian appreciates. Again, Loco Max just shouts advice from a short distance as Fabian waves the towel. I guess you wouldn't want Fabian giving you advice, but I don't know about Loco Max either. Both roll in, Damian looking a little fresher. Damian carefully lifts Bam Bam up into a - well, reinera, if he leaned back. Oh he's not leaning back because as soon as he does, Bam Bam reverses it into an inside cradle one two th-NO. Two tired looking guys, and we still don't have a finish. Perhaps someone should try a valaguesa? Bam Bam takes Damian down, ties up his legs - it ends up in a an Indian deathlock version of Octagon's hold. Damian's pretty well trapped, though Bam Bam doesn't have much energy to apply pressure. Pompin makes a big sweeping motion with his arm, Bam Bam breaks the hold, the crowd goes wild...and Damian says he didn't vie. QUE? Crowd thinks the match is over, and seconds debate their points. Only man who matters is Pompin, who's letting it go on. Crowd is confused (so am I), but Damian's in control. Bam Bam dropped again near the ropes, and Damian is heading up. Damian gets to the middle rope, and has to stop to KICK AWAY HIS CORNER MAN. Can you fire a cornerman midmatch? Loco may be right, but he's so not helping. Middle rope moonsault misses (because Bam Bam had plenty of time to recover) and Bam Bam pulls Damián into the required cavernaria. It's now officially a MVS singles match. At leas they found anew way into it, and applied it a little differently. Damian breaks free without giving up, of course. Both up, Damian kicks Bam. whip, Damián charges, Bam Bam fakes him out of the ring, then follows with the tornillo! Bam Bam lands on his feet and seems to take three steps to celebrate not dying while trying this move this late in the match before collapsing. Back live, Loco Max tries to help Damian back in before being warned (actually, it almost looked like he was trying to keep him out, but who knows.) Damian cuts off Bam Bam from getting in, but Bam Bam chest slaps him and goes up. Well, he will as soon as he stops talking to the crowd about it. Of course, Damian crotches him on the ring post. Hey, he's crotched on the ringpost, Damian realizes, it's time for my move! Valaguesa ESCAPED, sunset flip by Bam Bam, one two THREE. NEW CHAMPION. Crowd approves.

Bam Bam says this is bigger than any hairs and masks and tournaments he's won. He thanks for the fans for all their support.
