Blue Panther vs Damian 666
Recap: 03/29/08
Open: promos by Los Perros. Damian has fun making cat noises. Blue Panther does better.
Outside the Ring: LA Park.
Match 1: Amapola (c), Medussa, Rosa Negra vs Dark
Angel (c), Luna Mágica, Princesa Blanca
Arena Coliseo, 02/24/08
Winner: tecnicas
Match Time: 9:43
Approx Rating: Weird finishes in the third fall, doesn't really build up
the match they appear to be building up here.
Other Match Notes: No entrances. Promos from Rosa Negra and Dark Angel
1: JIP, just as Negra is thrown out and Medusa and Blanca are ready to start. Blanca's a bit slow. They go for two minutes before we get Dark Angel and Amapola. Shoves. Amapola misses a clothesline, off the ropes, Dark Angel leapfrogs her, ducks under the role, and gets back up just in time to take a back elbow. Stomps, corner by Amapola, Dark Angel moves out of the way and inside cradles Amapola for zero, Amapola jumps up and clotheslines her. Amapola off the ropes for another clothesline, but Dark Angel grabs her and drops her with a spinning backbreaker. whip, and one more backbreaker. Corner whip, reversed, Amapola charges in but no one's home. Dark Angel holds her with a reverse neckbreaker submission, and Amapola gives faster than Luna Magica can get in her top rope move. That was the most effective time killing submission ever.
Luna gets Rosa Negra with a top rope silla and dropkicks her out, then clotheslines Medusa and puts her in a elbow lock for good measure. She has no idea the fall is over, oh well.
2: Rosa Negra is fired up to face Luna Magica. That's gotta be fake. Rosa off the ropes, Luan drops down, Rosa drops an elbow on her. Stomp. Whip, kick to the midsection, Luna lifted up on Rosa' shoulder sand pushed off to the side into a gutbuster. Luna's thrown around by the hair. Rosa off the ropes, Luna stops her with a cartwheel into a kick. That was hilariously random. Luna off the rope, running, slowing, picking up speed when Rosa waves her by, Rosa tilt-a-whirl, Luna lands on her feet and back elbows Rosa. Luan off the ropes, off the other ropes, Rosa powerbomb reversed into a faceslam. Luna slap Rosa in the back of the her head, which causes her to angrily roll out to the floor. Dark Angel comes in, but Amapola knocks her into the corners for the rudas and grab to work over, then rush the other two. They're cleared of out of the ring, and Dark Angel is set up on the ropes for Amapola's running sit. Luna takes corner charges. Blanca get a double hiptoss and Rosa' fireman's carry face first powerbomb. Amapola beats Luna with a hammerlock over the shoulder backbreaker, and Medusa gives Dark Angel a swinging side slam for the fall.
El Inmortales: Pierroth vs Boricua
3: Instead of being clipped to right before the comeback spot, this fall's clipped in the middle of the comeback spot, making it a bit hard to flow. Tecnicos brawl for revenge, including Dark Angel going out of her way to beat up Amapola on the outside. Inside the ring, Medusa big boot on Blanca is blocked, Blanca clotheslines her and celebrates, and Blanca gets her with an inside cradle, for 2. That would've been a bizarre finish. Everyone else moves back towards the corner as Blanca gets a waistlock roll up. No count, because they wait for Luna and Rosa come in to cover an opponent for a very confusing double pin - and some how it works? Ss they're done, and Rosa Negra gets knocked out of the ring by inadvertent Amapola dropkick. Amapola kicks Luna towards the ropes, Luna seems like she's supposed to go thru the ropes but doesn't, so Amapola yells for Rosa to grab her. Rosa does, tripping her up as Amapola sets up for a dropkick to the face. Luna's only there for a split second, and rolls out of the way when Amapola tries the dropkick. The dropkick should hit Rosa instead, but it comes up short and Amapola and Rosa (and me and everyone else) are just befuddled. Rosa gives a great "enough of this" shrug and just stands in position for Luna's apron silla. Amapola goes for her own dive, but Dark Angel cuts her off with a tope rope plancha. Amapola tries to dropkick her, but gets ref Bestia Negra. Amapola grabs Dark Angel, but Terror Chino breaks it up - DQ for the dropkick? What a weird match.
A chaotic brawl breaks out, with the Rudas rushing Dark Angel band beating her down, and Luan and Blanca completely ineffective in breaking this up. Amapola stomps the heck out of Dark Angel and then pounds her a bit more to make sure. Replays, and the rudas storm off more than the tecnicas ever really stopping them.
El Diseno: Mephisto
Match 2: Damián 666 (c), Mr. Águila, Terrible vs Blue
Panther (c), Felino, Grey Shadow
Arena Coliseo, 02/24/08
Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 5:01
Approx Rating: Very very short due to editing. Not that there was going to
be a lot here otherwise.
Other Match Notes: Felino has Monito. Panther hugs a guy wearing a UG
shirt, and gives him his shirt. Hmm. Hey, let me transcribe a promo for once:
"Hey it's Grey Shadow for the first time in Arena Coliseo. Blue Panther and
Felino are my partners, and we're going against the Perros del Mal. Perros del
Mal we're going to teach you some new tricks tonight. At Arena Coliseo."
Perros get separate entrances just so the music can keep playing. Perros del Mal
promo features much more random groaning.
1: JIP, with the Perros beating down the tecnicos. Perros give Shadow the giant swing/dropkick to take care of him. Panther and worked over, but deeply scars Terrible on an emotional level by spitting at him. Terrible recovers to chest slap him as hard as he can. Slingshot, clothesline, Aguila legdrop to finish it.
Monito's dragged on top the middle of the ring, whipped off the ropes, given a double back elbow, and spin around on his back many times. Monito gets up dizzy, gets kicked back down, and Aguila legdrops him for good measure.
2: Joined in just in time for Felino to get an opening and chop everyone, but be forced in the corner. Corner whip, Damian charges in, but Felino cuts him off with a dropkick to the knee. Revenge brawl, including Monito getting a second rope butt splash on Damian. Damian. Felino holds the rudo in a camel clutch so Monito can dropkick him. Panther rips Terrible's shirt of his back and chops him much harder than Terrible could chop Panther. POST. Tecnicos come together in the ring for a triple whip on Aguila, all to set up a dropkick to the outside. That does set up Felino's springboard tope con giro, so it had some reason. Damian in. Shadow heel kicks him, Stunner, hold on for a Dragon Sleeper (which he has to let go and readjust.) That's US indy combo looks such out of place in Arena Coliseo. Why does Magadan call him a North American? Pick a country! If you're so worried that saying "Cuban" will clue everyone in, pick a different country. Panther gets Terrible with an elbow lock just as the fall ends.
El Arte de Catch
3: JIP. Terrible kicks around Panther, but gets taken down by a Shadow springboard headscissors. Damian misses a senton, and Felino boosts Shadow into a dropkick on Terrible. Aguila takes Shadow with a kick, while Felino backdrops Panther into a pescado on Terrible. Rudos grab Felino and corner whip him to Shadow, who sits him on the top rope and dispatches the slow charges of the Perros. Felino gets Aguila with a top rope flying headscissors, Shadow charges Damian in the corner but gets set up top, and that's going to end him. Valaguesa there, Aguila spinning heel kick and powerbombs over there. Clean, easy win for the Perros.
Panther challenges Terrible to a mask vs hair match. Terrible responds, but I'm more distracted by Damian stealing Juan Carlos's headphones. That's the show.
