EMLL-

(Arena Coliseo) Blue Panther, Violencia, Black Warrior vs. Olimpico, Safari, Tinieblas Jr.-

Primera Caida- An all-rudo caida. Panther pins Safari with a tilt-awhirl gutbuster and then Violencia makes Olimpico submit to a stretch.

Segunda Caida- The rudos stay on control with a few cool moves including a nice bow-and-arrow/dropkick to the face combo on Tinieblas. This goes on until Olimpico turns the match around by evading a corner charge. He slams Black Warrior and unlaces his mask(it accidentally falls off at one point). Now they go into a series of quick sprints, including a long one between El Black and Safari. Black and Violencia end up on the floor and meanwhile Tinieblas Jr. uses a plancha to pin Panther.

Tercera Caida- Now they start going back and forth, as Olimpico and Panther trade nearfalls left and right. No pin happens yet but Blue ends up taking a spill and then on the receiving end of a tope from Olimpico! Black Warrior and Safari go at it next and have their own set of nearfalls, eventually Black misses an in-ring quebrada and Safari goes up top near the rudo corner, but Violencia just shoves him off. Black then takes off and hits his tope(though a bit slower as to keep his mask from falling off again)! Tinieblas and Violencia are left to finish things off it would seem, but Violencia opts to do a somersault plancha to keep Olimpico from entering as he nears the ropes. So Panther reenters the ring now, and is hit with the plancha again, but Tinieblas gets cocky and breaks the pin, and as soon as he turns away Blue takes him down and uses the Palanca Lagunera(Armbar) to get the submission victory!

[full point] A very good match after the lame first fall. Lots of back and forth work and quick action. Blue Panther is god. Know this well.

Momentos Estelares

Sombra del Plata with a springboard plancha
Alan Stone with a great somersault dive
Tigre Blanco with a great tope
Fugaz powerbombs Nuetron, then lifts him up for a second but keeps him upside down, so that Sangre Azteca can nail him with a dropkick to the face
Superplex by Emilio Charles on Shocker
Double topes by Niebla and Olimpico

(Arena Coliseo) Hijo del Pierroth, Shocker, Gran Markus Jr. vs Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Super Porky-

Primera Caida- Hijo del Pierroth is shorter than Shocker and yet as muscular as Mr Mexico. I wonder if he roided? This first fall starts off cleanly with matwork by both teams, except when Porky or Markus are in. Then it’s fat guy offense. Niebla ends up taking out Markus with an awesome over the top tope while Atlantis uses Atlantida on Shocker to win.

Segunda Caida- The rudos take over… yawn. Only thing I found interesting was Hijo del Pierroth easily backdropping Porky, and then the ref telling him to put his hand on his back, as if reminding him to sell. Tecnicos fight back but the crowd doesn’t care much. Atlantis and Porky do dives to take out Shocker and Markus for the time being. Niebla hits Hijo del Pierroth with a backbreaker, but as he tries a second Pierroth Jr. hits a low blow and pins him. Niebla isn’t the captain, so the match continues. Atlantis pins Hijo del Pierroth with some funky hold where he braces the rudo’s arms together and pulls them down in between his legs, then pushes him forward into a self huracanrana and sits on top for leverage. Atlantis gets Shocker and Markus ready for a Super Porky splash, but Hijo del Pierroth crotches the fat tecnico on the top rope and ends this in DQ instead of pinfall.

[half point] Average action, with a weak finish. Hijo del Pierroth is pretty much the rudo counterpart of Dos Caras’ son now, that being green but getting high on the card due to his father’s name value. The difference is Caras Jr. has the “look” while Pierroth’s son looks like a muscular midget.

(Arena Mexico)Giant Silva/Villano III/Villano IV vs Apollo Dantes/Scorpio Jr./Bestia Salvaje/El Signo- Silva does his usual amazing act of no-selling everything and throwing the rudos around. Villanos do stereo topes while Silva splashes Apollo to end this “match”.

(Arena Mexico)Ultimo Guerrero/Emilio Charles/Hijo del Santo vs. Negro Casas/Dr Wagner Jr./Satanico[Relevos Incredibles]-

Primera Caida- I am completely confused by this match as it appears to be two rudo teams with a tecnico each rather than r/r/t vs t/t/r like usual. This fall is very slow and for the most part in the favor of Casas’ team. Satanico gets Ultimo to submit to an abdominal stretch.

Segunda Caida- Casas’ team holds the advantage in this fall once again. Guerrero’s team turns the tide later in the fall and pins Casas after a double suplex/tope de cristo combo. Santo takes out Doc with a tope. Then Ultimo gets carried away kicking on Satanico and gets DQed.

[half point] This could have been much better, IMO. Plus I don’t know why they chose to do a Relevos match here. Very very strange main event.

AAA(From Salamanca)

Rocky Marvin, Kahoz, Espectrito vs Mini Pathfinder, Mascarita Segrada, Octagoncito-

Primera Caida- The rudos attack before the bell but they don’t stay in complete control for long. Mascarita starts armdragging Espectrito but does not get to hit his tijeras off the apron. Now the rudos mysteriously take over the match again… Kahoz makes Segradita submit to a Gory Special. Rocky and Espectrito tie Octagoncito and Pathfinder’s legs up and then use a cool new move…. A double camel clutch.

Segunda Caida- Mascarita starts hitting some nice armdrags and headscissors on everyone… Octagoncito tags in and running powerslams Marvin while Pathfinder hits a moonsault bodyblock on Kahoz for the win.

Tercera Caida- Octagconito hits some nice armdrags, then Pathfinder tags in and flies around a bit. He eventually takes Kahoz over the top and does a running over the top tornillo! Octagoncito hits Espectrito with a sommersault plancha… in the ring Segradita uses a huracanrana to pin Rocky.

[.50] I like Minis but this wasn’t as good as a Minis match with Abismito, plus it was very short.

Parka Jr., Latin Lover, Sangre Chicana vs. Pirata Morgan, Espectro Jr, Texano-

Primera Caida- Basically all rudos. Very slow and boring action. Texano and Pirata get latin Lover to submit to a nice figure four/judo choke combo. Sangre Chicana won’t help his partners and seems amicable with Espectro.

Segunda Caida- Rudos bring a few weapons into the ring, then they end up hitting each other and that allows the tecnicos that are actually wrestling to turn this around. Next fall, there is going to be a turn, just watch.

Tercera Caida- And sure enough, Chicana turns on his partners and Parka is forced to submit to a team submission.

[zero] I watched this in fast forward and still was bored. AAA main events are such the pits.

Overall: <2 out of 4 for EMLL, half point out of 2 for AAA>- EMLL was fairly hit or miss. They don’t really have any angle to further yet so the shows are a little dull. Plus Silva is just a nuisance. AAA was pretty awful. Thankfully it was short.
