CMLL Guerreros del Ring on 52MX #306 (10/01/2011)
Recapped: 10/02/11

Before the open, the show actually starts with highlights from the segunda: Tapatios/Zavala vs Bala/Halcon/Dragon. There's no fall mentions here, though you can sort of work out the rudos won the first and the técnicos took the last two.

Also, during the show, they show the winners and runners up from the mask contest, but there's absolutely no way you would know what it is unless someone told you. It's only up there for a second.

Match 1: Black Warrior, Metro, Toscano © vs Dragón Rojo Jr. ©, Misterioso Jr., Virus

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:44
Rating: bleh
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

1: Pairs are Toscano/Virus, Dragon/Metro, and Misterioso/Warrior. The middle two are even in the ring, brawl out on the floor, and Metro wins via superkick. Warrior quickly slips out on Misterioso, Misterioso chases, Metro catches Misterioso by a surprise tope. Virus disappears, and Toscano finishes Dragon Rojo in the usual way.

2: Warrior outsmarts Dragon Rojo & Misterioso. Toscano armdrags and dropkicks Virus, then throws up the stop sign on Misterioso to remove his shorts. Headscissors sends him out. Toscano tries a flying armdrag on Dragon Rojo, but Dragon Rojo fails to go with it and Toscano looks dumb. Quebradora finishes that. Metro makes fun of Virus' height, then runs him over with a big shoulderblock. Nice easy powerslam here too. Misterioso takes a high monkey flip, and then a long one. Superkick for Dragon Rojo and dive tease. Warrior tries to get a handshake from Virus, does not get one, they shove, Virus hold Warrior in the ropes, and that's the sign for the beatdown. Other técnicos are cleared out, Dragon Rojo lands the inside out dropkick, and Virus & Misterioso each grab a limb for the submission. Metro is finished even easier.

3: Generic beatdown, with the generic reversal spot: rudos miss corner charge on Metro. Warrior spears Virus, Metro launches Misterioso on a belly to belly and adds the rolling back press. Warrior slides out and pulls Virus of the apron. Dragon Rojo in and flipping Metro to the apron, but Metro dives off onto Misterioso. Captains in, Toscano goes for the same finish, Dragon Rojo shoves him off into the ropes and inside cradles him for a clean three count.

Match 2: Atlantis ©, Blue Panther, Rush vs Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero ©
Arena Coliseo, 09/25/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:28
Rating: eh
Notes: Looks like a prematch brawl. Negro Casas is choking Blue Panther with someone's shirt. Ref is Tigre Hispano, not at all in control of this match. Zacarias is out with the rudos.

1: UG whips Rush with his kilt. He likes using that kilt as a weapon lately. Niebla goes after Atlantis' mask. Negro appears to be biting Blue Panther's chest. Zacarias helps choke Rush at the ropes, though they don't get a good shot of it. Negro submits Blue panther to a sharpshooter way off in the background. They're calling Guerrero's submission “El Pulpo Guerrero” this week, which is as good a name as any.

For the second straight week, there's an announcer voicing over clips that aren't shown.

The Brazo de Plata history video for the segment honoring him is shown here. The mystery masked woman is “Aramis” and says Porky is her uncle. Which doesn’t really narrow it down. Besides the CMLL ones, Brazo Jr., Super Diablo, and Brazo de Platino also appear.

2: Rudos still in control. Rush takes the senton de la muerte. UG misses a corner charge on Atlantis and knee bumps his way out of the ring. Atlantis dropkicks the other two, and Rush launches into a tope con giro on UG. Other técnicos immediately wrap it up.

3: Negro kicks Panther around, but gets armdragged and forced into the rolling tapatía. UG makes the save and off hand back elbow Rush out of the way. Whip for Panther, but Rush flips him to the apron to take over. UG jumps high into the belly to belly suplex and is dropkicked out. Niebla surprises Rush with all sorts of slaps, but Rush turns it around with chops in the corner. Niebla turns it around, Rush blocks whips and waves his hand no, but Niebla spits in the face. Fans are happy about that. Corner whip try #3, Rush quick reverses into a short clothesline. Rush kicks Niebla on the ground, Zacarias tries to sneak in, Rush scares him off with a threatened kick, Rush turns tot he crowd and gets slapped out of the ring by Niebla. Atlantis in, Niebla rushing out. Chop fight with negro instead. Negro wins via kick, but quickly eats a quebradora. UG in, UG quebradora (I thin, camera missed it), Niebla clotheslines Atlantis and does the dance. Kiss for Tigre Hispano drops him to the mat, Niebla runs into a quebrada, gets right back up, and pulls Atlantis mask. Niebla cover, Tiger Hispano counts from far away, one two three. Atlantis is captain, so that's it, though it takes a while for it to sink it.

Atlantis makes the man/man challenge for next week. Niebla teases doing the match right now, then walk off. Show end with more voice over of highlights that aren't shown.
