Match 1: Blue Panther ©, Hijo del Fantasma, Metro vs Misterioso Jr. ©, Pólvora, Yoshihashi
Arena Coliseo, 08/07/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:59
Rating: okay
Notes: Ref is Pompin

1: Panther and a bandana wig wearing Yoshihashi start off with a mat battle. Of course, Panther grabs his skull, and the bandana and hair pull off, to reveal Yoshihashi's bald head. Tags there. Metro tosses Pólvora around. JCR says there are 12 masks and 6 hairs on the line in minis tournament, so they taped this when they were still figuring that one out. Fantasma headscissors and quickly topes Misterioso. Other four in, Blue Panther gets a nudo lagunero on Pólvora rather easily and nicely (Pólvora knows how to do that one form both ends) and Metro drops Yoshihashi on his shoulders as usual.

2: Yoshihashi is run off with a Metro slap to the bald head and a kick midsection. Pólvora dropkicks the técnico, but eats a short clothesline. Misterioso takes the monkey flip, both ways. Crowd very into this match. Panther in, and sunset flipping Misterioso, but Pompin takes so long getting down that Misterioso kicked out before one. Panther and Misterioso gets tangled up when Panther tries something incomprehensible, and Yoshihashi makes the save for both by just running and stomping. Suplex! “Otra!” Yea, not so much, Panther suplexes him instead. Fantasma add a top rope frog splash, and Pólvora rushes into keep the fall going. Fantasma lands the sunset flip escape dropkick, and Misterioso breaks that up. Fantasma tries a handspring jumping something onto Misterioso's shoulders, but that's all messed up. Misterioso grabs on to a normal waistlock, and flips Fantasma with a German suplex, pretty much all on his own. Pólvora finishes Metro while Yoshihashi holds Panther in a time killing hold.

3: Beatdown. Corner charges and face slap for Fantasma. Panther takes a single back elbow and goes out. Rudos have to talk a while to set up a triple boot. Second set of corner charges on Fantasma fail, leaving Misterioso along in the ring for a quebradora. Metro kicks Misterio out, and Fantasma follows with a tope con giro. Metro gets Pólvora with a 'rana, but only for two. Metro press slam backcracker looks neat, but takes them into the ropes and Yoshihashi dropkick to break up the pin Metro can sort it up. Yoshihashi pointing reverse neckbreaker! Panther breaks up that pin. Spinebuster, nudo – no, Pólvora back to bring it up. Yoshihashi and Metro up too, rudos rammed into each and shoulderblock out. Metro backdrops Panther into a pescado on Yoshihashi, then topes Pólvora himself. Fantasma and Misterioso back in, and shirt is off. Misterioso turns a charge into a flapjack, and kicks Fantasma in the head while he's down. Gori Special – continued into a sunset flip, one two there. Crowd approves.

Match 2: La Máscara ©, Máximo, Shocker vs Averno ©, Héctor Garza, Volador Jr.
Arena Coliseo, 08/07/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 6:26
Rating: angle
Notes: Ref is Tigre Hispano.

1: Rudos want nothing to do with Hector Garza from the start, telling him to go join the técnico, then just leaving him into start. Shocker gets Garza in a toe hold, and Volador rushes into break it up. Garza questions Volador, and Volador shoves him. Máximo sneaks in and tries to pull him into a kiss, but Volador rushes away. Those two stay in., Volador getting in his flipping run but taking a pair of headscissors from Máximo. Averno kicks down Máximo, and of course Máscara jumps in. Crowd LOUD for Mascara. Headscissors, flipping armdrag, tope, check check and check. Shocker holds Volador in a submission, and Garza gives himself up for the pin. Garza comes back to life when Máximo goes for the kiss.

2: Garza puts up the stop sign so he can take off his pants (no shirt), but the rudos rush in, and shove Shocker into Garza to knock both out of the ring. Rudos quickly kick their opponents and land their big moves. Timing was really great, given the difficulty in timing those different moves.

Since this match isn't going to take too much longer, highlights of the tercera!

Arkángel de la Muerte, Cancerbero, Loco Max vs Dragon Lee, Pegasso, Rey Cometa

3-1: Dragon Lee with a walk up the ropes tope con giro nicely, and Pegasso plays set up man for Rey Cometa's 450 on Loco. Pegasso get the Toyota roll on Arkangel for good measure.

3-2: Slow beatdown. They show a long boot choke on Pegasso for some reason. Arkangel is now doing a middle rope low blow chop, or he screwed up the elbow drop. Probably the later. Arm triangle submission on Cometa for the fall.

3-3: Cancerbero cuts off a Cometa dive, Loco gets in a tope con giro on Cometa, Cancerbero submits Pegasso in an Alejandraio, and Arkangel gives Dragon Lee a chokeslam backbreaker.

Back to the original match.

3: Rudo beatdown, though Garza's help is more pulling técnicos to safety or insisting on facing them alone and then failing to actually hitting them. Averno & Volador keep falling for this for a while, though Garza talks himself out of getting beat up. Garza kicks both rudos loudly instead of Mascara, but then gives Máscara a spinebuster and a crab anyway. Too late – Volador and Averno rush him and stomp him down. Shocker inside cradle, Máximo kiss cradle, that's it.

Volador and Garza discuss, and that ends with Averno kicking Garza from behind. Stomping. Máximo wants to makes the save, but Mascara drags him off. Averno yells at Garza, Garza tries to respond but Volador spits at him. Garza tells Averno his problem is only with Volador. Hector's a complete luchador and able to take Volador on as a técnico or rudo. Garza challenges Volador for his mask and slaps him, which gets him beat down by the rudos and spit on again. Volador holds the mic to talk – and then just beats Garza with it for a while. Is it not working anymore? There you go. Volador says a few words, then attacks Garza some more.

And that's it.
