Arena Mexico, 04/10/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:13
Rating: good, but last week was better
Notes: Straight in to the match. Pompin is referee.

1: Distracted early because of weird sound issues, one I can't figure out if it's something they're doing or something I did wrong. Opening match ups are Apocalipsis/Dragon and Semental/Signo. Neither goes too long. Things turn in the rudos favor when Bala charges Rayo II and ends up in the wrong side of town. Semental slaps him from outside, corner clothesline him, and knocks the other técnicos off the apron. Whip into a toss into a missile dropkick. Dragon Lee and Signo make a comeback on the other two (which requires them to fail to break up the pin on Bala.) Técnicos are only momentarily successfully – Signo headscissors Semental out, but Apocalipsis pulls him out the other side, and Semental runs back thru the ring to tornillo Signo. Dragon Lee and Apocalipsis left in, and the thing man is tosses into a dropkick. Rayo helps Apocalipsis with his complicated hold, and that's fall 1 for the home team.

Hey, Shocker is on Roomies!

2: Rudos give Dragon Lee a double backdrop. Bala is left to roll in the center of the ring for a bit. Corner charges for Bala. Signo gets a double suplex and an Apocalipsis top rope senton con giro. Bala races in and hits everyone, but Semental puts him down with a slap to the back. Corner whip, Rayo sent in, Bala steps to the side, Rayo goes right out. Bala take a boost to dropkick Apocalipsis, and Semental also sends him right into a tope on Rayo II. Signo gets Semental with a plancha, ducks a lame Signo clothesline, and eats a Semental powerbomb. Signo leaves Semental laying in the middle of the ring and goes back to Apocalipsis. Hesitation, Signo dropkick, Indian deathlock pose for a submission. Dragon Lee has meanwhile finishes Semental with a springboard elbow drop and a standing shooting star press.

3: Signo dominates Angel Blanco. Dragon does a springboard front flip into the ring. Semental is not impressed, but does off a handshake. Dragon Lee is slow to accept and get slapped. Chop fight. Flashy fireman's escape headscissors by Dragon Lee, but Semental knocks him back down with his spinning in-ring tope. Dragon Lee sends Semental to the ropes with a reverse spin headscissors, and holds Semental's wrist for a springboard one to send him out. Pose (boos.) Rayo and Bala in. Bala's mask is noticeable untied. He starts off with a hiptoss, but Rayo sets him on the ropes in next pass. Chop knocks Bala out, but he takes Rayo II with him on a bodyscissors. Signo & Apocalipsis next, but I'm distracted by JCR talking about Apocalipsis, Ramstein and Sangre Azteca as a trio – I think he's got Apocalipsis and Hooligan confused, because those three never teamed. Apocalipsis has a sort of a middle rope hiptoss to send them both to the mat for a near fall. Signo comes back with a dropkick – Apocalipsis takes the move, pauses, then starts falling backwards out of the ring. Signo goes up, almost slip on the top rope, and out with a tope tope plancha. Semental and Dragon Lee in, Semental spins him Dragon Lee escapes on his feet but stumbles, and Semental superkicks him to the corner. Semental charges, Dragon Lee moves, and Semental takes the Ultimo Guerrero knee bump to the floor. Dragon walks over to the ropes, springboard and, shooting star press to the floor. Semental only catches Dragon Lee by his legs, but that's just enough. Bala and Rayo too back in. Bala with a sunset flip, one two no. Both guys pound the mat in frustration. Bala acts first, inside cradle, one, Rayo Tapatío II has both hands on the bottom rope. Referee orders a break, Bala misses a clothesline, Pompin opts to look away from the ring for no obvious reason, Rayo goes for a foul, Bala blocks it, Rayo grabs his mask and rolls him up. Wait, Pompin turned around just in time to see the empty face. Rayo II is ordered off, and Pompin orders the DQ.

Match 2: Hirooki Goto ©, Terrible, Texano vs Black Warrior, Strong Man ©, Super Porky
Arena Mexico, 04/10/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:17
Rating: fun comedy
Notes: Quite a collection of people who haven't been on this show much lately, if at all. Bestia Negra is ref. Monito is with the técnicos.

1: Warrior and Terrible start, slowly. Rudos are quick top help out when Terrible ends help, but eh has a good run here of easily bodyslamming Warrior and armdragging Warrior. Warrior turns it around to end their sequence. Porky & Texano are next. Porky is still annoyed with these two rudos. Texano bops around for him, and gets flattened by Porky's splash. Texano looks to be out, is not so much out when Porky tries CPR. Goto draws Strong Man. This last one Lockup. Double T try to help out, and run right into shoulderblock. Crowd approves. Rudos take Strong Man 3 on 1, and keeps the técnicos from helping out. Texano lands the low blow corner dropkick, and the rudos have a bit of control of the situation. Goto and Texano double suplex Porky for one pin, and easily deal with Warrior for another.

2: Goto and Porky in, Porky only able to hold off slaps with an eye poke. Magadan talks about Goto's New Japan Cup wins! Doble T run Strong Man into a post. No DQ. Goto eye rakes Porky, and Porky complains about it to the crowd. I like how Monito hides under the bottom rope in the corner. It's his safe place. Corner clotheslines on Warrior are well done. Corner charges on Strong Man too. Warrior is whipped in, but Strong Man sets him on top and clear out Doble T with a back elbows. Goto charges into a slam, Strong Man slams Terrible, setting the rudos all in a line, and Warrior splashes them from the bottom rope. They kicks him off, and Strong Man helps Porky splash the entire pile for the fall.

3: Rudos all fall for Porky's offense. They do manage to all slap Porky in the back. Porky gets mad and wants to hit someone, so Terrible and Texano totally sell out Goto to take the belly bump. They take Porky's drop down counter splash seconds later. Strong Man is impervious to Goto's slaps. Goto set on the top rope and tossed off. “That's right!” Strong Man pins, but Double T break it up with slaps to the back. Texano yells at him, charges, and falls down. Terrible wants a timeout, and slaps Texano around for being an idiot. Texano tells Terrible to try. Terrible charges, and falls down. Texano paintbrushes Texano too, and then they both surprise Strong Man with kicks. Suplex – no, Strong Man will break free and chokeslam both of them. Horrible chokeslams, but whatever. Strong Man stomps his feet and fires up for something. Running - double shoulderblock sends the rudos out. Pose! Warrior is last, and action is a bit more normal than the other people. Comandante reminds us she's here by tripping up Warrior form the outside to help her men get an advantage, but Terrible is soon accidentally kicking Terrible out. Warrior kicks Terrible down and topes Texano into the front row. Porky in, and the remaining rudos pound him, but he shrugs them off and turns them around into Strong Man's missile shoulderblocks. Stereo suplexes by Porky and Strong Man. Pins, and that's it.
