Match 1: Dragon Lee, Hijo del Signo ©, Hombre Bala Jr. vs Apocalipsis, Escorpion ©, Semental
Arena Coliseo, 04/03/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:21
Rating: good if erratic
Notes: Escorpion is mentioned as winning his block when announced as captain. Referee is Terror Chino

1: Dragon Lee and Escorpion start. Dragon Rojo's headscissors looking convincing, his submissions less so. Zero pinfalls and standoff. Semental and Hombre Bala are next. Semental is wearing a half/half mask, but I'm not entirely sure what the other half is supposed to be. Camorra, maybe? They have an entertaining battle on the mat over a cross armbreaker. Bala tries to ride the horse, can't, but gets armdragged off. Semental traps Bala in a bow and arrow, but he quickly escapes for a pinfall. Zero pinfalls include Bala trying a standing moonsault. That one's looked better. Signo and Apocalipsis are last, Signo doing técnicos bits (casadora armdrag among them.) Signo armdrags Apocalipsis all over the place and dropkicks him out. Signo chases on the outside, Apocalipsis ducks the clothesline and Semental flattens Signo with his thru the ropes tornillo. Apocalipsis comes back in, but he and Dragon Rojo get completely lost for a moment until Apocalipsis just drops him with a German suplex. Apocalipsis really can't hold up the bridge, but they pretend. Escorpion takes care of Bala for the other pin, first fall to the rudos

2: Rudos beating up the técnicos instead of letting them down. Dragon Lee makes Escorpion's slap look great – but then it shouldn't take much to drop Dragon Lee. Escorpion does a run up the ropes headscissors on Signo, and Semental adds a nice springboard legdrop. Bala takes a powerbomb, then barely is able to hold him upside down. Other rudos have no idea he's doing that for them to dropkick, and then both think the other guys is going to run. They end up doing it together. Dragon Lee takes a three man faceslam, then Escorpion presses him all the way to the floor. Wait, that's DQ! Does Escorpion know that's a DQ? Referee awards the DQ and Escorpion looks a bit confused.

It's usually the whole team pressing a guy to the floor to draw that DQ, and usually tossing that guy on to his teammates. Escorpion just pressed Dragon Rey straight to the floor with no help on either side. Dragon Lee grabbed on to the top rope to control his fall (and seemed to land on his feet. Replay show Escorpion racing to the corner to pose, so I think he probably knew.

3: Escorpion starts the fall beginning off from Signo, then cheap shots Signo as he debates with the crowd. Don't turn your back on Escorpion. Chops and kicks. Escorpion drags Signo to the rudo corner so they can help hold. Escorpion lets Signo crawl all the way back to his corner, and then tags in Semental to deal with Bala. Bala has a nice spinning armdrag, but Semental comes back with a sweet running tornillo tope in the ring. A nice leapfrog spot by Bala sets up a headscissors to send Semental out, and Bala follows with a slingshot headscissors to the floor. Signo and Apocalipsis in, even Apocalipsis' back elbow doesn't look good. Apocalipsis does like yelling to the crowd. Top rope armdrag sends the rudo out, and Signo does not follow this time. Lee and Escorpion and shoving. Dragon Lee almost lands in the ropes on this flipping run, but pulls of the fireman's escape headscissors. Escorpion flips Dragon Lee on a clothesline – it's one of those flip sells that look more like a flip than a sell. Whip, Lee headscissors, wristlock, runs up the ropes, jump off headscissors. Escorpion out, Dragon Lee sets himself, then follows with a scary looking shooting star press to the floor. That was great, never do that again! Bala in, planching Semental. Semental ducks a clothesline, shoulderblocks him, runs up the corner, and comes back with a spinning plancha. Semental waits for Bala to get up, charges, and runs right into a Bala powerbomb. Semental right next to the corner, but Bala is going up anyway – tornillo splash really kind of misses, but we pretend it didn't. Signo trips up Apocalipsis, and gets him with standing figure four variation. That's it.

They play Sum41 - who's using that? And then they switch to another song.

Match 2: Rush vs Rey Bucanero for the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship
Arena Coliseo, 04/03/2011

  1. Rush Mendoza cradle (3:19)

  2. Bucanero reversed plancha (0:56)
  3. Rush Amarre (8:00)

Winner: Rush (2-1)
Match Time: 12:15
Rating: good. Better than expected!
Notes: Skip to the belt presentation, though Rey steals the microphone to proclaim himself the next champion. Tiger Hispano is the ref, that's bad sign. Seconds are Dragon Lee and Zacarias, who pilfers the belt after the photo is taken. Tiger Hispano vs Zacarias is a fair fight, but we don't get to see it.

1: Obviously joined in progress. Probably okay missing Bucanero/Rush mat work. Bucanero holds Rush down with a hammerlock, Rush reverses into a toe hold, out into an armbar. Bucanero ends up with a sunset flip for two. Rush armdrag, back into an armbar. Ind off an elbow lock now. Bucanero tries to pull the hair to reverse, is warned, and tries a headscissors instead. Rush rolls free, and locks on a headlock. Bucanero out in a standing armbar, armdrag, holding on, Rush kips up and armdrags free. Standoff. Zacarias has eye patch this week. Rush puts on a wristlock, pushes Bucanero down by putting a knee on the arm. Bucanero reveres, escapes to a cover for two. Rush armdrags him away, Bucanero back for a quick pin, head to head face off. Bucanero trips up Rush and grabs his leg. Crab – switch to a half crab. Switch to a STF. Holds! Bucanero lets go, rolls Rush over his back, for a cradle, one two no. Rush gets his own cradle for two. Bucanero armdrag, Rush runs into another, Bucanero goes for a third, but Rush traps him in the Mendoza cradle – the Villano V special - one two three.

Zacarias and Bucanero talk strategy. Replay of the finish.

2: Fall starts with Rush tope-ing the heck out of Bucanero! Whoa. Cut to the ring girl still bringing the card to the ring. Good thing Bucanero was on the other side of the ring. Bucanero makes it in first and does his taunt, then turns to see Rush on the top rope. Rush plancha, Bucanero rolls thru, one two three. That makes that dive substantially less cool.

Replay of the entire fall. Maybe longer, because we get multiple angles.

3: May be joined in progress too. Corner whip, Rush corner sunset flip, Bucanero revers and gets his hands on the ropes, one two th-KICKOUT. Bucanero complains about the slow count. Rush walks around the ring, getting taunted by the parrot. Both guys are selling like they've been fighting for quite a while. Rush misses a dropkick, Bucanero misses a clothesline, Rush throws him with a belly to belly suplex. Superkicks sends Bucanero out, and Rush climbs out to the apron, right in front of Zacarias. Diving elbow smash off the apron onto Bucanero. Replay of that. Rush back in first. Zacarias encourages Rey to go back in. Rush poses on his knee, so of course Bucanero sneaks in and gives him the cavernaria. Rush holds on, even when Bucanero switches to a Dragon sleeper. Rush breaks the arm lock and falls forward, free. Bucanero off the ropes, clothesline, Rush won't go down. One more try, and Rush still won't go down. Rush insists on it more forces. Bucanero tells Rush to try, and then catches him in a full nelson when he does. Triple reverse back breaker and an elbow driver. One two NO. Rey Bucanero pouts, and Rush sneaks him into a crucifix roll up, one two NO. Rush waves on the crowd as both guys recover. Bucanero up first, punching Rush and walking to the corner. Dragon Lee watched from the floor nearby as Rey lets everyone in the arena know he's going up. Rush runs up, and slips while pulling off the super armdrag. One two weak kickout. That was not good. Rush argues, Bucanero inside cradle one two th-NO. Rush waits to the last moment at times. Dragon Lee totally thought his brother was losing there. Clip here? Rush is now in Zacarias corner and the sound seemed to jump. Rush dropkick Bucanero, Bucanero goes out, Rush runs to the ropes, holds up, pescados, and Bucanero catches him with knees on the way down. Slick move by Bucanero. Dragon Lee waves his towel over his brother. Rush adjusts his knee pads. Bucanero rolls in first, Rush walking around the side and climbing up near the corner. Bucanero met shim on, Rush smacks Bucanero down, climbs up, and lands a missile dropkick (though shot oddly.) Rush covers, one two NO. Bucanero to the apron, fighting Rush away – slingshot front cracker, one two Rush foot on the ropes! Tiger Hispano almost misses it, Bucanero won't let go of the cover, so Tiger Hispano weirdly puts a five count on him. Both men up. Bucanero clothesline misses, Rush has a hard time getting him up for a back suplex but walks away round while delivering it. Senton. One two Zacarias smacks Rush with the pan! He did not lay off with that one. Rush start to yell at the parrot, then just grabs his head and goes down. Tiger Hispano strangely does not issue a disqualification for the obvious offense, but does eject Zacarias from ringside. Dragon Lee yells at the parrot and tells him to go. Both actual participants in the match need a moment to recover anyway. Chop fight, Rush wins with a kick. Fireman's carry drop, stomp, and Rush says that's it. So many boos. Rush is amused. Rush to the second rope, posing, and Bucanero races up to join him. Superplex! One two NO. Both sit up, but Rush is quick enough to pull Bucanero into his submission – and that's it. Bucanero gives. Rush takes his time letting go, as he often does.

Rush is too tired to celebrate, but Dragon Lee brings him back to life with towel waving. Replays and that's it.
