Lot of Dos Leyendas hype, with the interviews from Ras de Lona with match 2 on (both; still with Canacerbro, who's not in this match.)
Match 1: Ángel de Plata, Leono, Metálico © vs Bronco, Escorpion, Tiger Kid ©
Arena Coliseo, 03/06/2011
técnicos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 15:27
Rating: memorable for the crash
Notes: Tiger Hispano is referee. No entrances.
1: Bronco and Metálico do back bridge reversal spots to start, and it's amazing to watch Bronco pull himself over Metálico. Bronco holds Metálico up, and Metálico escapes with a headscissors. Metálico smartly shoots for Bronco’s legs to knock him down, and puts on a chinlock with the legs tired. Bronco rolls to get his feet on the ropes. Bronco's dope toe hold on Metálico is blocked for by Metálico for a moment, but Bronco eventually gets it to work. Bronco holds Metálico down, bites his hand, then roles on to his back for a bow and arrow. Metálico quickly escapes for a pin. More battling on the ground is not as impressive, but they get nearly four minutes of mat work, finishing with zero pins, before breaking apart. Clip? Angel de Plata and Escorpion just materialize in the ring. Escorpion gets armdragged, complains about hairpulls, and almost gets DQed for complaining. That would be a new one. I don't put it past Tiger Hispano. Escorpion switches to complaining about a tights pull on the next one. Plata armdrags Escorpion until he stumbles and backs off – in to the técnico corner, where Escorpion and Metálico argue. Crowd loudly chanting for Plata, enough so that Plata backs off to acknowledge it. Jumping snap mare sends Escorpion out and up the aisle. Another quick clip here, removing the space between the fighting. Leono and Tiger Kid next, Leono getting the rudo with a casadora armdrag, and a slow springboard headscissors. Tiger Kid goes out, and just stands there waiting for Leono's springboard plancha. Other técnicos quickly finish it off. Plata sets up Escorpion on the mat as if he's waiting for someone to add a legdrop, but no one does.
2: Escorpion greatly impresses himself by leveling Plata with a thrust kick. Plata comes back after a bit with a springboard headscissors. Escorpion stuns Plata with his punch and gets him up on shoulders after a chop, but Plata escapes with an armdrag. Plat and Escorpion have a intercommunication bit, but Escorpion takes control, sends Plata running again, and eats a headscissors. Plata tease a dive, holds up at the ropes, and slingshot out for a headscissors. Crowd has to be encouraged to cheer. Metálico and Bronco, Bronco annoyed the fans chant for Metálico. Bronco chops Metálico hard, but Metálico's chop is enough to knock down the big man. Springboard headscissors sends Bronco out, then Metálico follows with a slide to the apron and a spinning DDT off his stomach from there. Leono is not cool enough to be on this team. Tiger Kid kicks him down. Bronco continues with a kick, and then holds Leono for an Escorpion punch to the midsection. Guess we're in the beatdown. Tiger Kid slaps Metálico on the chest, and then on the back. Angel de Plata's swatted down on the apron. Corner charges for Leono, with Escorpion finishing with a 'rana off the top rope. Bronco's splash actually connects! Tiger Kid has an elaborate set up to his frontcracker, Escorpion lands his ugly quebrada, and Bronco adds a submission for the win.
3: Escorpion drags Plata to the entrance, which scares away the card girl. Plata is thrown all the way down the aisle back to the ring. Fall graphic seem to cover up another quick clip. Plata gets a takedown on Tiger Kid, but the other guys pound on him while he's down and Tiger Kid gets in a strong shot once Plata is stood up. Escorpion confuses Leono by asking for a handshake, and then slaps him around some. Leono escape the rebound double hiptoss, and the shorter rudos accidentally chop Bronco. Leono, the least cool guy here, starts the comeback by spinning of Tiger Kid to dropkick Escorpion out, armdragged Tiger Kid out and follows with another springboard plancha to the floor. Escorpion and Bronco catch him this time, and toss him (safely) behind. Meanwhile, Metálico helps Angel de Plata to the top rope. Plata waits for a moment. Shooting Star Press – goes over the rudos heads and lands him on the floor. He landed right in front of the aisle opposite side of the ring of the entrance ramp, and the front row people are sure they've just seen a man die in front of them. Crazy. Medical personal is said to be over immediately over, but they don’t show Plata again. Tiger Kid and Metálico gets back in the ring, hoping around and trying to get the crowd into it. That's not going to happen. Chop fight, Metálico rolls, Tiger Kid dropkicks him in the backside. Tiger Kid inside cradle, one two Metálico scissors the arm and rolls over – short arms scissors submission for the win.
Match 2: Brazo de Plata, Máximo ©, Sangre Azteca vs Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero ©
Arena Coliseo, 03/06/2011
rudos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:43
Rating: good comedy
Notes: Perico with Rey, Monito is with Máximo. Pompin is ref.
1: Sangre Azteca and Atlantis start off on the mat. I wonder if Sangre is still mad at the Guerreros, or if he just forgot that when he got mad at other people. There battle doesn't last long but it's definitely a batter. Kip up armdrag sends Atlantis out. Porky versus Bucanero, though only after Perico gives Rey a kiss for good luck. Crowd behind Porky. Clowning around ensues. Porky armdrags Bucanero and challenges Perico to come in. Ride the back spot goes badly for Rey. Máximo and Ultimo Guerrero are last. UG has no patience for Máximo's silliness. Máximo spins to evade a lockup twice, and the rudos jump him the third time. Beatdown. Lots of chokes. Perico gets in a pan shot on Máximo. Senton de la Muerte on Porky. Sangre gets the Bucanero twisting senton. Suplex on Porky, and the rudos all cover for the pin.
2: Beatdown continues. Máximo takes the flying sit. Atlantis throws Perico into a diving headbutt on Sangre. Quebradora by Atlantis. UG swats Porky with Perico's pan. Corner whip to Porky, nothing crueler than making him run across the ring. Porky sidesteps a corner charge and clotheslines Atlantis & Rey. UG bumps him down, Máximo rolls UG with a flying armdrag. Atlantis and UG just sort of standing in the ring while Máximo spinebusters Rey and holds him for Sangre’s low blow missile dropkick. Everyone springboards to life to get the last couple of pins. Porky amuses himself posing while seated.
3: Sangre ducks out on Atlantis corner charge, gets placed on the top rope, but steps off Atlantis back into an armdrag on Bucanero. Atlantis grabs him, but Sangre ducks a clothesline by Rey. Rey kind of holds up before hitting Atlantis, and the two stand together for a Sangre armdrag off of Rey and on Bucanero. Sangre slides Rey out to clean the ring. Perico rushes and swats Sangre with the pan, but Sangre sidesteps his charge, and Piero – well, he meant to dive onto Rey but he actually just hits the ropes beak first and crawls thru. That needs work. Sangre stares at Rey and Zacarias clearing things up, and UG surprises him with a clothesline. Corner whip, reversed, Máximo pulls UG down form the outside, and Sangre adds a low blow dropkick. Crowd wants one more. Replay of the Perico spot – as Perico goes face first into the ropes. That was not fun! Back, and Porky and UG face off. They charge at each other, and UG knocks Porky down. UG seems surprised about that. I know I am. Porky rolls to the apron, blocks a chop, goes up to the top rope, and armdrag UG and headscissors Bucanero in one more. More comedy with all the rudos leads to Atlantis getting belly bumped out of the ring, and the other two taking splashes for dropping down too soon. Clip. Máximo in, Zacarias in! (Also, Rey.) Máximo gets on his knees and imitates Perico. Perico doesn't like this, and slaps Máximo around with his wings! MONITO POUNCE! Máximo headscissors Rey, Rey and Perico attacks Máximo and Monito, the técnicos block everything and kiss the rudos. Crowd is amused. Atlantis in, springboard butt bump sends him out. UG in, Máximo leapfrogs, rolls backwards, and gets slapped in the backside. Máximo leads an “otra” chant. 'rana sends UG out, and Máximo follows with a tope. Other four in, técnicos shoved into each other, Porky grabs onto Rey, Atlantis dropkicks Porky not seeing that, and both Rey and Atlantis roll are knocked out. Sangre dropkicks Atlantis out and goes up – plancha onto everyone. Máximo and Ultimo Guerrero back in, Máximo blocks everything and goes for the kiss, UG pulls back as if to punch Máximo if he leans in at all, Máximo ducks under, inside cradle with feet on the bottom rope, one two three! Ultimo Guerrero is immediately up and protesting.
Técnico celebrate. UG shakes his head. Lots of replays and show.
