Match 1: Astral, Pequeño Halcón, Pequeño Máximo © vs Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Warrior ©
Arena Coliseo, 02/27/2011
rudos
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:57
Rating: good
Notes: Refs is Maya, and only Maya.
1: Halcón and Universo start on the mat while the announcers hype Dos Leyendas. Astral and Nitro seem to get lost thru their matchup, but not in a dramatic way. Camera probably shouldn't zoom in on Nitro calling spots all the same. Warrior is working hard on his fake makeup lately. Warrior makes fun of Maximo's height with a test of strength, so Máximo jabs Warrior in the side, Warrior bends over in pain, and Máximo kisses him. Crowd approves. Warrior bullies Máximo around, but misses and hits the buckle three times in rapid succession. Headscissors slides Warrior out, Warrior ducks down to avoid the dive, Máximo lays on the apron waiting for Warrior to get up, and surprises him with a kiss. Nitro attacks Warrior, flips Astral to the outside, and Astral flips to the floor just to avoid a chop. That's a bit much. He also just and is there until Nitro plancha him, so bad day for Astral. Rudo clean up in the ring. Warrior rolls thru a Máximo plancha to set up his finish. Rudo fans are loud.
2: Rudos brawling. Nitro bends Máximo's neck backwards over the bottom rope. Two man frontcracker on Halcón looks nice. Triple dropkick on Astral is two dropkicks and Nitro just sort of kicking. Máximo ducks a double clothesline (not much effort needed) and blocks a Warrior kick, but Warrior slaps him away when he tries for the kiss. Meanwhile, the other técnicos come in with springboard armdrag and go out with dives. Halcón seems to be over shoot his guy on a tope con giro. Warrior tries a sunset flip on Máximo, Máximo blocks it, kisses Warrior, and sits down on top for the pin.
3: Hey, we actually heard an opening whistle! Astral is flipping around, including doing Sombra's flip over the ropes into a headscissors on the apron. A far way to go to land one headscissors on Universo. Halcón/Nitro is slower paced, and Nitro definitelively wins by kicking the novato. Máximo gets beat by all three guys, but easily moves out of the way of a Universo corner change to send him out. Rudos whip him back the other way, and Halcón lifts them to safety. While they're taking care of the other rudos, Astral does a springboard double plancha towards Universo – Universo totally fails on catching. The other four screw around in the ring, with Halcón tossed up to Nitro on the top rope but escaping with an armdrag. Rudos promptly winn the match. Máximo gets killed by Warrior. Astral's got to stop diving, his team losses every time.
Match 2: Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther ©, Valiente vs Atlantis ©, Último Guerrero, Vangelis
Arena Coliseo, 02/27/2011
rudos
Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:22
Rating: good, loud crowd helped it.
Notes: Ref is Pompin.
1: Joined in progress. Pairs are Angel de Oro/Vangelis, Valiente/UG, and that one lasts not at all long before it turns into a six away brawl. Rudos win that one, of course. Vangelis gets to do the flying sit on Angel de Oro. Triple faceslam for Oro, and the other two are tripped for the Guerrero triple submission
2: Rudos till in control. Senton de la Muerte on Panther. Triple boot for Valiente, and the rudos take turns kicking him questionably low. We completely miss Angel de Oro countering something get to the mecedora – they’re cut away from the action shrink it. By the time they're back, Atlantis is finished. Not only are the other rudos surprised they lost, but Valiente and Blue Panther can not understand why they're getting their arms raised and are asking each other what happened! That's part is great. Replay shows Atlantis was just a bit lazy and Angel de Oro caught him with the bodyscissors into the hold.
3: Both sides rather ague than go to their corner. Panther and Vangelis stay in to start. Crowd behind Panther, of course. It doesn't take long before Panther has Vangelis in a submission, and about Guerreros rush into break it up. Corner whip goes wrong for the rudos, and the headlock/headscissors spot is making a comeback the last couple of weeks. Armdrag sends Atlantis out, UIG kicks Panther to the corner, but then take a high speed knee bump to the floor. Panther rushing for a dive, and UG sprints around the corner to safety. Crowd approves. Panther is ready to go, but the rudos are looking for a timeout. Valiente and Vangelis in. Valiente gets him rolling with a headscissors and flips him with a dropkick to the knee. Atlantis in, unhappy that Valiente spotted him climbing in. Valiente flips over him and spins him around with an armdrag. Dropkick sends him out. UG in, Valiente with a double springboard headscissors, UG tries to roll out but gets caught in Pompin’s feet, and ends up tripping him very slowly. Valiente observers this comedy, then jump slides thru the ropes to get after UG. Atlantis forearms Valiente from behind, but UG ends up clocking his partner and taking out the camera guy in the process.) Panther still want to face the rudos, but the rudos are still taking a coffee break. Angel de Oro will try. Battle for crowd reaction. UG actually gets the crowd to boo him. Crowd cheers Angel de Oro every time he raises his arm, though it’s a very feminine cheer. UG runs Angel over, spinning him out. Atlantis in to help. Angel de Oro ducks a double clothesline and gets Atlantis with a headscissors. Spinning armdrag for UG. Vangelis in and dropping Oro with a back elbow. Hard chops sends Angel de Oro to his corner, but the técnicos just wave on the fans. Corner whip, Vangelis charges, Oro moves at the last second and Vangelis spears the post. Angel de Oro goes to the nearby corner, and flips off for a moonsault over the ropes to the floor. Técnicos rush in, and are instantly pulled into Atlantidas. They were almost up in those holds before Angel de Oro hit the ground. Match over. Crowd boos.
