Match 1: Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata vs Cancerbero, Nosferatu, Raziel
Arena Coliseo, 02/28/2010

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:31
Rating: Good in parts.
Notes: Nosferatu handles the promo for his team, with much evil laughing. The Anglo Bros take it of it for their side.

1: Can I tell Raziel and Cancerbero apart when calling matches? I don't know, because Nosferatu’s in to start. Angel de Plata's hair has gotten long and blond all of the sudden. Nosferatu seems to be growing, and not in a positive direction. As if maybe he's not a Cancerbero because he couldn't keep up with the Cancerbero’s gym schedule. Plata throws him around with a couple armdrags in non-notable form. Plata in with... Cancerbero, I think. This is where I realize we don't have pictures of the guys on the wiki. Need to work on that. Anyway, he's got the dog on the side of his tights, so that's how I can tell. Plata's sequence is a bit face paced, but we're still on the armdrag stage for a while. Oro tries to get in a headscissors, but Cancerbero catches him and drops him on his front. Raziel in, and Cancerbero sort of feeds himself into a headscissors, Raziel coming free with a splash. Raziel jumps up and clears off the técnico corner, and Cancerbero positions Oro for a top rope Nosferatu splash. One two three. Nice stereo big boots on Angel Azteca, trying to come back in. Rudos stomp Plata a little bit while the referees are trying to raise the rudos arms, then kick the angles away from making the save.

Giving up on mentioning all the between match stuff.

2: Rudos maintain control. Angel Azteca is whipped into Nosferatu's spear, which still does look good. Oro is held hanging from the top rope for Cancerbero and Raziel to nail with ax-handles. Rudos take turns throwing around Plata by his mask. Cancerbero gets warned and actually goes out to the apron, but ends up snapping Plat's arm over the top rope, so it all worked out. Lot of pulling guys around, and hitting him. Whip for Azteca, waved by, and Nosferatu and Cancerbero backdrop Angel Azteca. Raziel is bending over behind them – I don't know why he would do that, but it does allow Azteca to sunset flip him, and the backdrop never hurts if you get to sunset flip someone. It's weird like that! Other rudos try to break it up, get their partner. They do kick out Azteca on the second try, and Raziel holds him for a running swinging dropkick – but Azteca gets free and Raziel gets dropkicked both. Nosferatu is really winded here and it's not helping him. Plata boosts Oro into a dropkick on both, they tease topes, swing to the apron instead, then hold there a Azteca runs and comes back – stereo Asai moonsault with a thru the rope tope con giro thrown in! Rudos are all down, and the técnicos pull themselves in – triple countout of the ring.

3: Seems to be joined in progress. Oro is already landing a springboard tope on Nosferatu as the fall starts. Corner whip, reversed, Nosferatu charge in and lands the big clothesline. Double chop. Corner whip, Nosferatu charges in, Oro kips up and headscissors him out. Nosferatu kneels next to the apron, and Oro tries a sliding headscissors on the floor, but it doesn’t come off too well. Not sure who was at fault there, but it was slow looking. Oro and Cancerbero in. I bet I could type Devil Dog a lot easier. I need to learn to embrace AutoText someday, it'd make my life suck a little less. Cancerbero and Plata play keep away, until Plata connects on a handspring twisting cross body. One two kickout. Plata back bends under a clothesline and knocks Cancerbero silly with a superkick. Plaat flips over Cancerbero's back to the apron, duck a punch, rolls back in, then bounces off Plata's back for a rope grab headscissors. Nosferatu bull rushes Plata out, then follows with a tope. It was one of those where they run hard at the start, then slow down as they get to the ropes because they don't know if they'll make them thru. He barely made it to Plata because he slowed down so much. Oro misses a kick on Raziel as they both come in, and Cancerbero come in to help on the double whip. Big double backdrop for that Angel. Aztec in and chopped around, then whipped to his partner. Oro flips his partner to the apron, Cancerbero charges, misses a clothesline on Oro, and gets knocked own by Azteca. Meanwhile, Raziel takes Oro down and leans over, so Azteca springboards in for a sunset flip on him. This frees Plata, and Azteca crawls back just in time for Cancerbero to kick his partner. Azteca booted up for a dropkick on both, but they split and Azteca comes up empty. Técnicos whipped into each other, then whipped into the corner. Oro backdrops Cancerbero out, but Raziel kicks him and lifts him up. Superplex/reverse Thesz press combo, sort of, one two three. Azteca whipped, and swept into a double face first powerbomb. Raziel hooks on a tapatía, and lets go of the arms so Cancerbero can add a neckbreaker and hold on for the submission. That'll do! This really picked up once Nosferatu got out of the way.

Match 2: Blue Panther, La Máscara, Strong Man vs Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Taichi
Arena Coliseo, 02/28/2010

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:10
Rating: OK
Notes: Taichi does a promo as if he's reading off a card. Because he probably is! What a pair of captains.

1: Panther and Taichi battle on the mat, with Taichi fighting for a long time to get a cross armbreaker, and then Panther immediately getting himself free when he's finally got it on. Panther hooks both legs together, and Taichi sit strapped on his back, but grabs the ropes and gets out. That was an abrupt ending, but ok. Mascara and Bucanero in, Bucanero getting nothing and taking everything. Armdrag, armdrags, backbreaker. Bucanero manages to get in some chops when Mascara stops to pose, but Mascara ducks one and Bucanero accidentally hits Strong Man. Bucanero realizes he's done wrong and runs over to his corner. I guess Atlantis isn't paying attention, but Bucanero tags him in, Atlantis steps in, turns around, and realizes what he has to deal with. Lockup, down goes Atlantis. Atlantis wearing a new black on silver outfit. Very Arkangel-ish. Waistlock, and one back elbow is all Strong Man needs to do. Atlantis does some push ups. Waistlock, and Strong Man just breaks the arms, wild punch misses, and Atlantis lands a dropkick. Chop knocks him down. Two hand press cover, and Bucanero and Taichi both rush into kick and forearms him. Strong Man grabs one in each arm, and spins around with them. Atlantis latches onto Strongman's back, and they all attack. I think Bucanero sneaks in a foul here. It weakens Strong Man enough that he's slowed down by some headbutt, and Rey is free to attack the other técnicos. Rey and Taichi hold Strong Man, while Atlantis goes up – missile dropkick. Atlantis stomps Strong Man out of the ring. Atlantis and Bucanero grab Blue Panther in the double armbar/leg pull for one submission, while Taichi gives La Mascara what must be the Black Mephisto for the other pin.

2: Rudos in control, going thru the técnicos one at a time. Taichi has some mid kick he likes to use. When Strong Man comes in, Atlantis tries to corner whip him, but can't get him. Taichi tries to help but no. Bucanero tries to help, and Strong Man gets going – but Strong Man reverses the whip on all three. Strong man kick away dirt like a bull, roars, charges – Bucanero and Atlantis flee in time, but Taichi is squashed. Mascara topes Bucanero after a superkick, while Panther gets Atlantis with a suástica. Strong Man chops Taichi, having to stand him back up after each one. Scoop, lift on his shoulder, Oklahoma Stampede. One two three

3: Taichi starts off, working over Mascara with kicks. Whip, Mascara kicks him going for a clothesline, then superkicks Taichi. Taichi rolls out. Atlantis in, but Mascara has to strip off his shirt. Off the ropes, over, and kicked down from outside by Bucanero. Bucanero celebrates, and starts to come in, but Mascara kicks him as he ducks under the ropes. Mascara manages an armdrag headscissors on them both, ducks a clothesline, and gets boosted into to a dropkick on Atlantis. Bucanero misses another clothesline and is headscissors into the técnico corner. Rey spots where he is, and runs for his life. Tag – to Taichi, who backs into Strong Man. Taichi turns around, right into Strong Man's. Rey assures Taichi that his muscles are big enough. Chest slap, Taichi s hurt, Strong Man is not. High kick is blocked, and Taichi hurts his knee. Taichi tries another, and Strong Man's giant arms blocked that too. Choke, and shove into the corner. Strong Man asks the crowd, and gives Taichi a big chop. Down goes Taichi. Crowd asks for one more, and Strong Man likes that idea. Taichi, not so much. One more, and down goes Taichi again. Strong Man cups his ear and listens to the crowd, who wants another. One more, and Taichi begs for mercy. Corner whip, Taichi goes in chest first. Strong Man grabs him by his legs, spins around on his back in the corner, and backs up. What's he going to do here? Middle rope pump splash! Strong Man covers, and Atlantis and Bucanero rush in to forearm him. No effect, just annoying Strong Man. He turns around as they back up. Roar. Rudos try double clothesline, and only hurt their rams. Strong man knocks them over with a big shoulderblock. Strong Man to the rope – middle rope clothesline on both. Roars for everyone. Double choke, but the técnicos break free – double flapjack! Rudos roll out. Mascara in, big tope on the rudos, but they kinda catch him. Somehow, Mascara gets behind them, and hold them for a Strong Man plancha. Panther and Taichi in, Taichi landing a big kick to the head. Corner whip, Taichi charges into a double boot, Panther charge out for a double clothesline. Panther pulls him up by the hair – you don’t touch the hair! Blatant uppercut foul and Taichi covers, but both referees inform him of his disqualification. That's it.

Strong Man chases Taichi around a little bit, but Taichi escapes to pose. Atlantis congratulates him on his win, and they both free when Strong Man approaches him again. Strong Man ends up chasing the rudos away.
