AAA on Televisa #1004 (08/07/2011)
Recapped: 08/11/11

Recap: Mini Psycho Circus. Maniacos have problems winning. Zorro in AAA. LA Park has issues with Konnan.

And hype for today.

Match 1: La Parkita & Mascarita Sagrada vs Mini Chessman & Mini Psicosis
Instalaciones de la Feria, Tulancingo, 07/24/2011

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 5:04
Rating: eh
Notes: Arena appears to be temporary, but definitively is not so impressive. Ref is Piero.

Showcases for Sagrada and Parka and back again. Announcers start talking about DTU for some reason. Maybe be we're in Tulancingo? Only slightly clipped up, though no one really impressing. Mini Chessman sort of catches Sagrada on a plancha and sort of spears him to start the beatdown. Parka is tripped over the ropes for a guillotine legdrop – that lands on his back instead of his head, oddly. Parka is hurt after that, the announcer all over it much quicker than the medical people at ringside. Sagrada quickly makes the 1 on 2 comeback. Psicosis throwing himself out of the ring on a missed dropkick and Chessman eating a springboard plancha on the outside. Clip to Parkita being stretchered out and Sagrada small packaged Chessman to win.

08/19: Queretaro

Match 2: Argos & Lolita vs Sexy Star & Tito Santana
Instalaciones de la Feria, Tulancingo, 07/24/2011

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 11:49
Rating: okay
Notes: Entrances. They have plenty of time when Tito Santana is getting entrances. Referee is Tirantes.

Argos and Lolita have an elaborate discussion about who's starting. Argos keeps asking Lolita if she's sure she wants to start, but she does, against Tito. This works well, jumping snap mare right off the bat. Tito armdrags and hiptosses her, but Lolita gets a casadora armdrag to send Tito to the ropes. I think Lolita's backslide would be blurred out in the US. Tito gives everyone a chance to debate the issue by putting Lolita in an armbar and bending her over, but Argos flips off her back into a headscissors on Tito. Argos and Lolita talk, and Sexi jumps Argos from behind. That matchup seems like a horrible idea fraught with danger, but ex-Astro Boy feeds himself nicely for a Sexi headscissors. Argos catches a running Sexi Star with an armdrag, then feeds himself into another obvious headscissors. Zero leg pins leads to a Sexi dancing standoff and a kiss. Argos has no mouth, that's probably not going to be too effective. Sexi jumps at Argos, Argos hold her up, and Tito dropkicks Argos from behind. Somehow, Argos is hurt but Sexi is not. Beatdown. Lolita is thrown and slapped. Sexi legdrops Argos with the correct leg, but her aim is not so great. Clip, and Lolita is being spanked and kicked. Replay of the spank, and the cut to Argos making a headscissors comeback. Break is oddly timed.

Back for revenge brawling. Sexi and Argos end up back in, Argos getting in the front flip, Sexi dancing, and Sexi getting kicked. Run up the ropes flip armdrag send Tito out. Argos tries to follow with a slingshot headscissors, but ends up hitting his head on the floor on the spin. Looks bad, and the medical personal is back out again. Argos does get back up. Lolita and Sexi Star get in a slap fight, which goes better than Sexi trying to take a Lolita headscissors. She's not very good. Lolita manages much better with a springboard backflip armdrag on Tito, because he's Tito and he does this well. Reversals on the floor lead to a Lolita headscissors from the apron. Argos gives Sexi a couple quebradora, which go fine without incident. Tito gets Argos with a headscissors in a reversal but Argos fights him off and lands a springboard headscissors. I should go back and count the number of headscissors in this match, but it's too high a number. Argos lands a corner springboard tornillo on Tito, and that leaves Sexi and Lolita to pose inside. Sexi surprises Lolita with a pump kick, and then almost kills her with a Devil’s Wings. She nearly turned that into a bad piledriver. Argos, for no apparent reason, climbs to the rope and does a topes con giro not Tito. Sexi goes up – tope con giro onto both, grabbing her head after. Lolita, just dropped with a big move, grabs her head, then gets up and runs for her thru the ropes tope con giro. Replays of the dives. Back live, Argos' headscissors is revered into a faceslam. Another Devil's Wings, and Tito heads up. Argos cuts him off with a swing kick, climbs up on top with him, and gets him with the Spanish Fly. Argos grabs Tito's arm and leg as if he's about to drag him somewhere, then lets go, Tito rolls over, and Argos puts on a STF. I have no idea. Submission does it.

Crowd chants for Lolita

Pinta Para la Carona, Veracruz, Part 2. - So they're actually showing these on TV! Maybe now that they actually have time to do so. Or maybe I'm just getting the better rip. Anyway, Samurai del Sol is one of the winners, which proves Chicago is awesome. I do like how a guy using the “Mini Espiritu” gimmick is undiscovered in AAA's eyes.

Backstage? In AAA's Offices? Argos is surfing the web (AAA's facebook?) when Super Fly surprises him. Argos is ready to fight, but Super Fly just wants to introduce himself to the new guy. Argos says he's busy talking to his fans, but Super Fly says that isn't what it's about. Super Fly is trying to help; once, he teamed up with Laredo Kid & Aerostar. Super Fly has a full page photo ripped from a magazine as a visual aid, in case Argos did not believe him. I wonder if Cometa & Pegasso are on the other page he didn't rip out. Anyway, Super Fly joined Konnan, and now his future is limitless and he's going to be an international star. Super Fly tells Argos that he might want to do the same. Super Fly rips up the poster and leaves it with Argos, who appears to be thinking this over.

Match 3: Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Billy el Malo, Cibernético, Escoria
Instalaciones de la Feria, Tulancingo, 07/24/2011

Winner: Clowns by DQ
Match Time: 8:29
Rating: ok
Notes: Entrances. Monster steals a child, but then dances with him in the ring. Kid is very excited to be there. Why are you calling them the champs? They are not the champs. Bizarros jump the técnicos. Ref is Piero.

Billy & Escoria do most of the work. Of course. Their clotheslines are not mighty enough to knock Murder down, and he gets them both in goozles, so Cibernético participates long enough to spear the big man. Everyone does jumping corner back elbows on Monster. Backdrop and legdrop for Psycho. Murder comes in and pounds Cibernético until Escoria stops him with a dropkick. Monster gets strapped. Murder gets strapped and a standing moonsault. Break.

Monster sidesteps a corner charge to start the comeback, and the Psychos lay out the Bizarrros quick. Cibernético gets the low blow dropkick. Murder press slams Escoria and everyone stomps him some before the pileup splash. Murder Clown is holding them all up much better nowadays. Billy jumps on Murder's back, which has minimum effect. Clowns take turns strapping him. Flying sit on him. Cibernético is able to take out all three Clowns at once until he puts his head down too far on a whip. Kick, and Psycho wheel kick to knock him down. Murder suplexes Cibernético (almost losing him) and then he disappears during a replay. Less Bizarros dropped with a powerbomb and Air Raid Crash at the same time, and Monster and Psycho climb up. Psycho has trouble climbing, but eventually gets up, and they both land their splashes. No counts, the Clowns want to see Murder Clown do a splash. Billy and Escoria dragged in the corner, Murder helped up top – but then tripped off by Cibernético hitting the ropes. Cibernético fouls Psycho for good measure, and that's that.

Bizarros lay out the Clowns, including using the cow (?) skull Billy carries around to smack the Psychos in the head.

Reina de Ring video. This goes about as long as the Corona one.

Konnan and Chessman, in front of a TNA banner (ha!) talk about how Joaquin thinks he's smarter than Dorian, but they know it's not the case – that's how Konnan turned the Verano de Escandalo three way from Zorro vs Jeff Jarrett vs Dr. Wagner into LA Park vs Jeff Jarrett vs Dr. Wagner. OH, that's what happened! That's a good plan, now that I understand it. Konnan is sure it's going to be 2 v 1. Konnan explains the Monster's Ball match to Chessman, telling him he's added to the match so Abyss won't be stuck 1 on 2 himself. Chessman thanks him; but isn't a everyone vs everyone? Konnan says no, Tiger & Lider obviously will be working together, so Chessman & Abyss should too. It doesn't matter who gets the win, as long as La Socidead and TNA win. Chessman's a team player!

Match 4: Drago, Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider vs Chessman, Decnnis, Súper Fly
Instalaciones de la Feria, Tulancingo, 07/24/2011

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 14:05
Rating: good
Notes: Instead of Super Fly wearing Milicia gear, Decnnis is wearing black. Looks like old Guapo VIP tights, actually. Tiger gets last entrance. He is the one who has a belt, that seems fair. Piero is ref.

Match jumped to Chessman and Lider exchanging slaps, until Chessman decides to walk out. Chessman's new outfit looks very professional, yet very shiny. Super Fly comes in and dropkicks Lider to pick up. Whip, reversed, both run the ropes nearly side by side for a bit, Super Fly does his flipping ran and Lider clothesline him. Back suplex into a backcracker on Decnnis. Chessman misses a dropkick, Lider misses a senton. Chessman backs Lider into the ropes, slaps him kicks him, slaps him, C Pose! Whip, Lider springboards into a plancha into a DDT. Chessman stood up and forearming Lider right away, but springboards into a badly aimed Lider dropkick. That was sub-Pólvora, so of course they show a slow motion replay. Maybe it was a leg lariat? It was a leg lariat, effectively. Lider tags in Tiger, who kicks Chessman, and Chessman staggers all the way back to his corner. Super Fly wants a handshake, can't get it, but can get Chessman to attack Chessman from behind. Beatdown includes Chessman quickly hitting Tiger in the head with a chair. Drago is much better at getting his hands up. Lider does not even make the slightest attempt. He's wedged into the corner, Chessman holds a chair in front and Decnnis dropkicks a chair in to him. “Lucha Extrema” chant from the DTU fans. Announcers think they're chanting it for Lider. They're chanting for the chair! The chair is over. The rest of you, I'm making no statements about. Nice flapjack into a faceslam by Chessman on Drago. Tiger wedged in the corner and kicked and slapped a bit. Clip, and Lider slides under and past the rudos to set up a Drago springboard headscissors on Super Fly. Chessman stands around, and Lider comes back in and slaps him. Tiger quebradora on Decnnis, then goes for the chair. Decnnis gets out of there, Super Fly is now here to be seen, and Chessman is darn sure to get his hands up for a chair, and present his back for the next. Clip to Decnnis taking a low blow dropkick in the corner. Super Fly takes a sort of brainbuster (more suplex) on a stood up chair. Everyone back to their corners. Crowd chanting for Drago, which Chessman thinks it's for him. Drago evasion is stopped by a Chessman slap. Whip, clothesline misses, spin turned into a headscissors. Chessman puts his head down too soon and takes a pump knee (?) to the head, then a nice big spinning DDT. Drago swats Chessman in the corner an slaps him there a few times. Corner whip, Chessman to the middle rope, Drago out after him with a swing kick. Crowd shot, and suddenly Drago is giving Chessman a backdrop the floor. Drago follows out to the apron, and follows with a headscissors. Drago slides back in to roll and pose. Clip to Tiger and Chessman in. Tiger quebrada is caught, Tiger slips out of Chessman’s grip, ducks a clothesline, dropkick to the knee, wave, off the ropes, dropkick to the head is sidestepped, and Chessman slide kicks him in the back. Break.

Reinas del Ring: Lorena vignette. This only about a minute.

Picking right back up, Chessman slaps Tiger on the ropes. Whip, toss, and Tiger comes down with a super leg DDT on Chessman. Super Fly in and chasing Tiger in and out. Fly waits out, Tiger gives him a casadora armdrag, and Super Fly flies ludicrously far into the crowd. Clip to Drago and Chessman in, and Chessman failing to start a Chessman chant. It only slightly gets the Drago chant. Drago tries a shoulderblock, but chessman surges him off and superkicks him. One guy chants for Chessman, which seems to annoy him. Chop, whip, Drago back with a spinning armbar. Chessman pounds the mat, but the rudos rush in and break up the hold. Super Fly and Decnnis pound Drago into the corner. Corner whip, Drago runs up the corner where Chessman is randomly sitting, Drago tries a 'rana on him, Chessman shoves him to the mat, Super Fly tries a German suplex, Drago flips out of that, and Decnnis still clothesline him from behind. Lider runs in slapping the grounded rudos, and Tiger runs up to join Chessman on the ropes and his 'rana works. Lider with a stunner and a DDT on the other rudos at the same time. Lider goes outside to set up a bunch of chairs. Lucha Extrema chant comes back. Inside, everyone takes turns dropkicking everyone until Lider gives Super Fly a chairs shot. Chessman up and facing off with Lider. Kicks are blocked, chop fight breaks out, Lider grabs Chessman's arm, kicks him, and gives him his half straight jacket backcracker. One two NO. Is that his finish? I have no idea what Joe Lider's finish is. I'm not sure he has one. Lider retrieves a chair form outside and poses with it, only to turn right into a Chessman superkick. Chessman and Lider battle to the apron, then Lider kicks Chessman, sets up the chairs one more time, and goes to kill Chessman. Chessman surprises him with a DDT on the apron. Chessman scoops Lider off, and attempts to toss him into the chair – only he comes well short and Lider just slips the back of a chair with his lower back. That looked awful painful. Drago wanders over, only to track Decnnis into dropkicking Chessman off the apron. Decnnis ends up casadora armdragging Decnnis out the same side, where the doctor is now checking on Lider. Super Fly dropkicks Drago out that side too, and does his own Asai moonsault right in the same area, but only gets Decnnis, Drago having moved. Lider seem to have crawled away not to get trampled here – good there's plenty of room at ringside at this venue. Drago climbs back up, and does his corner post tornillo onto both Super Fly and Decnnis. Chessman back in with a chair, tossing it at Tiger’s chair and winning that battle. Chessman sets a chair on Tiger, a chair near Tiger, and head up, but Tiger gets up and throws the hair at Chessman. Weak chair shot to Chessman, chairs laid on top, Tiger goes up, senton con giro onto the chairs. One two three.

Lots of replays.

Outside (the AAA offices), Decnnis reports to Super Fly. He's got one question – how is Super Fly going to keep being in charge of the Milicia if they keep losing? That's what got him removed. Super Fly says he's leader as long as Konnan says he's leader. Decnnis grants him this points, but says he might not be leader for much longer if someone mentions to Konnan how morale is low and the current leader isn't doing such a good job. Super Fly puts up a brave front, but sadly sighs when Decnnis leaves. I have no idea where this is going.

Upcoming Schedule
08/19: Queretaro

Video package: Electroshock, Heavy Metal, Maniacos. This video package just keeps going and going and going and there's no particular ending to it.

Match 5: Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock, Heavy Metal vs Chessman, Silver King, Último Gladiador
Instalaciones de la Feria, Tulancingo, 07/24/2011

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 9:21
Rating: fine
Notes: Silver King has his IWRG title. No Trolli. Metal sprints out to the ring, far ahead of his entourage. Chessman gets second to last entrance; where they waiting for LA Park until the last second? Dr. Wagner has to get absolute last entrance. He does the Wagner touch with Marisela (who's not been shown until this point.) Electroshock threatens to kill Tirantes before the match. Wagner gives his title to the Penas to hold. Metal is wearing a belly shirt which makes his belly look big

Showcases to start. Electroshock (which goes well with Silver/UG but seems to have early problems with Chessman), Metal (clipped to start, weird part with him on his knees doing ear cups, and then unceremoniously stomped and thrown out by Chessman, HMMMM), and Wagner last. Metal is hanging out in the wrong corner for a while during this, just completely oblivious to what's going on. Wagner and Electroshock taking turns chopping Ultimo Gladiador loses something when he's wearing a huge leather chest plate and a shirt even under that. Gladiador actually gets Wagner with a frontcracker, leading to the rudos all posing. They ought to, that's not going to happen. Replay, and then clip to Gladiador missing a flying legdrop and being clotheslined right out. Chessman kicks and slaps Wagner around the ring, but misses a corner charge and takes a walking Tornado DDT. Knee to the head end that. Wagner poses, then follows with a tope con giro off the apron. Clip to Silver messing with the mini and kicking him in the head. Silver and Electro stomp him for a while, with the ref stopping Eléctrico from coming in, and stopping metal from coming, but not stopping Nanyzh Rock from jumping on Silver's back. Sexi Star runs out – I have no idea! - and lays out Nanyzh with one shot. Stereo spots with the two guys who aren't Chessman and Wagner, with the rudos sliding their way out, and the técnicos diving after them – topes into chair shots. Metal at least turns his back into it, which is OK. Chessman, Wagner, and the women all in, with Electroshock recovering to hit Silver with a chair on the outside. Chessman punches Wagner in the corner and stalls a bit. Who's he waiting for? Sexi Star, hanging on the apron before, grabs Nanyzh, but Drago (!?!?!) runs in and green mists her. Sexi is blinded, and stormed towards Chessman, who feel someone grab him from behind, and smacks her by mistake. Nanyzh covers Sexi for a pin (!?!?!?!?!) but Tirantes doesn't count. Not because they’re not in the match, but because he's waiting for Wagner and Chessman to catch up. Dragon screw, Wagner Driver, one two three. Tirantes only seems to count the people actually in the match, which makes more sense than usual.

LA Park immediately runs out and brawls with Wagner. Where did Drago go? Park and Wagner standoff after about ten seconds, and off to replays. Usual video package and it's over
