AAA on Televisa #959 (10/09/2010)
Recapped: 10/05/10

Previously: Heavy Metal and Electroshock broke a lot of guitars. Silver Kin played a tape, and demanded a rematch. 187 was beaten up. Better showing of the Draino bit this time. El Brazo didn't join la Milita, got beat up. Someone else, just off screen, did join. Cibernético agreed to work with team AAA.

Match 1: Cinthia Moreno & Esther Moreno vs Jennifer Blake & Sexy Star
Centro Civico de Ecatepec, 09/19/2010

Winner: Morenos
Match Time: 10:50
Rating: eh
Notes: Joined just as Sexi Star is entering. Morenos as a fgroup, with no special attention thos being Esther's return. Pepe Casas is ref.

Militia video package.

Break before the match.

Match starts off with Esther doing something and Jennifer reacting in right, but of course we only see Jennifer's reaction. Near complete técnico domination for the first four minutes, leading to dive spots from both Morenos. Esther does a lot of screaming and scary faces – they're playing her up as La Tormenta.

Jennifer gets the advantage with a springboard double elbow, but AAA is shooting the match from the crane came at the time and makes it impossible to see the action. The match is largely shot fine at other points, but those are places where they could've used an insert replay or something. Blade has a neat catapult held onto a Boston crab into a reverse campana. Totally the best thing she's done since coming to Mexico. Double faceslam on Cinthia also goes well. Rudos are able to fit a crab/camel clutch combo on Esther – she's just tall enough and they're just small enough. The unexpected run of fun ruda offense ends with Sexi star accidentally high kicking Jennifer. Morenos double suplex Sexi and elbow drop her. Double shoulderblock for Jennifer, double electric chair suplex. Esther just leaves as Cinthia only gets two, so Jennifer and Cinthia are left alone to do some near falls. Somehow, this ends up with Cinthia on the apron, Jennifer slingshotting over and pulling Cinthia off for a powerbomb, except instead of dropping Cinthia, Jennifer holds her up and walks around with her for a while. One crowd shot later, and Cinthia appears to have been let go in the front row. Sexi in, and back suplexed by Esther. Moonsault, and Jennifer is too busy stomping Cinthia to notice her teammate has been pinned.

Esther celebrates. The returning técnico gets the win – and then immediately takes backcracker from Jennifer. Pumphandle powerbomb, and stomping. Hey, Jennifer, the woman has a sister, you may not want to stick around long. Sexi does regain consciousness quick enough to keep Cinthia out. Lots of post match + replays = 3 match show.

Konnan talks to Dorian, concerned about the people 187 have taken out – Kenzo, Chessman, Alex (though that was the Apaches.) I think Konnan's more worried about being next on that list the guys he lost. Nicho is in the hospital and won't be here, so that's half their problem. Pan to the left, and LA Park is opening a bottle for Dorian. They talk about an AAA traitor to their card, but LA Park hasn't been informed who it is.

HEY, there's a commercial for Heroes Inmortales that gives away the whole traitor angle.

Last Week: a bloody Perro Aguayo Jr. fought with Mesías in the center of the ring. They repeat the last few minutes of the match, including Cibernético’s pin, and the post match. This kills five or six minutes

After the replay, Joaquin is taking to Joe Lider, who apparently just arrived. Lider has a chair and wants to fight, Joaquin says Nicho is in the hospital so no match, Lider doesn't care if he's alone, he wants the match. This doesn't get resolved before Apache comes running up, telling Joaquin he needs to go with him right away.

Elsewhere, Crazy Boy has found Octagon in a pool of a red KoolAid. Or blood, I guess it could be blood. He's about as red as Perro was last week. Anyway, Crazy Boy yells for help, and Parka happens by. Parka helps by yelling at a motorcycle driver on the other side of the aisle, who's with shoulder length dark hair. Octagon's eyes are closed, though I guess he's breathing, and he appears to have a slight seizure. Parka checks, then freaks out. Motorcycle driver finally leaves. Parka yells Octagon's name, which also is not helping. Joaquin and Apache arrive – wait, Apache saw Octagon down and went to get Joaquin and not any medical help? That seems like not the way to go. Mesías is here. HEY, a Doctor, and not a Doctor Wagner, an actual guy with a bag for of useful medical equipment. Laredo Kid and Aerostar have arrived too, and everyone's talking, though Parka is freaking out the most.

Break.

Parka storms to the ring, trailed by the rest of the guys we just saw (except Octagon and the doctor.) Fans are so worried about Octagon that they're reaching for high fives as usaul. Heavy Metal has joined the main group since they arrived from the back, and Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans and Gato Eveready are about 30 seconds behind. Parka gets the microphone, talks about see Octagon in his own blood, and demands Cibernético come out here right now. Clearly, it must be Cibernético, because no one else in this promotion could ever own a black leather jacket and a motorcycle. (Hey, what did happen to Vampiro anyway?) Parka's barely keeping it together, and everyone else tries to calm him down a bit. Where did Joe Lider go, anyway? As Joaquin's talking, he's interrupted by Konnan's music. Dorian and he stand at the stage. Dorian says he's going to say it clearly – Cibernético is part of La Sociedad. Konnan says Cibernético will be working with Sociedad in the cage match. Joaquin sends the troops to chase off the Konnan and Dorian.

Break.

Another replay of Octagon. This replay includes a close up shot of the motorcycle driver from a foot away, though only pan up as far as the chest.

eMatch 2: Silver Kain & Último Gladiador vs Joe Lider for the AAA World Tag Team Championship
Centro Civico de Ecatepec, 09/19/2010

Winner: rudos
Match Time: 8:29
Rating: boring
Notes: Maniacos enter with a commission representative, who's befuddled by the rudos posing on the way to the ring. I don't know why, but the voice track, including the ring announcements, are clearly being done after the fact. After the champions enter, Dorian and Konnan strut back to ringside. They explain that Nicho is in the hospital after last week, but Joe Lider must wrestle alone. Konnan gets to business – they need an answer. Crowd tells them not to do it. Silver King accepts, which Dorian takes to mean the whole group accepts. Silver clarifies – he's accepting on behalf of himself and Ultimo Gladiador, but this is not the WagnerManiacos and there's no leader telling them all what to do. Silver says Electroshock will join only if he gets in the cage match to get his hands on Heavy Metal. Konnan & Dorian are fine with that, but are cut off by 187's music. Joe Lider runs to the ring, wearing the DTU belt. Lider grabs Dorian, and no one is exactly in a hurry to break it up. Lider just lets go, and Dorian wanders off. Break.

Militia video package. Break again?

Graphics for the match include the non-existent Nicho el Millionario.

Rejoined, with the rudos killing Lider. Tirantes is ref, so this should really last no more than minute. It does not last a minute. Joe makes a one on two comeback, including letting a near fall on Ultimo Gladiador that Silver Kain has to make the save on. Maniacos have worse timing on their double faceslam than Sexi Star and Jennifer had in their match. I would've lost that bet fifty times over. Chair shot to the back is not enough to finish Joe Lider, he's better than Mesías. Maniacos are in no hurry to actually try pins, which is the other part of stretching this out forever. Rudos put Lider on the top rope to hit him with a chair, which seems a like a lot of effort. Brainbuster on to an unfolded chair should be enough, but the Maniacos don't try for a pin. Chair shot the head – Lider gets an arm up, still gets clocked pretty well. They really should've had Dorian tell them Maniacos to destroy Lider, it would explain this a bit better. Lider is bleeding. Beat up on the outside. Hanging DDT inside. Tirantes and Silver Kain talking to Lider, but not trying to beat him. Maybe they want him to quit? Gladiator swings and gets Silver Kain instead of Lider, and Lider dropkick the chair out of his hands. Replay of that, while Tirantes gets the chair away form Lider. Lider decides to grab Tirantes, which leads him open for backcracker. Bad plan! Silver Kain entertains himself by giving Lider two chained suplexes and a shoulderbreaker. I think this is supposed to be the second heavy injury angle within about 30 minutes. Maybe not the way to go. Maniacos screw around some more, than finally finish of Lider with a bulldog of Silver Kain's shoulders, and a Silver King springboard senton con giro.

Konnan, the Stones, Billy Boy, Decnnis and the commission guy who was apparently holding all the belts backstage walk to the ring. I don't think the commission guy is here for the beatdown; he disappears quickly. Konnan has another bottle of draino so Lider can join Nicho in the hospital. Split screen with a robed individual hitting things with a golf club – like with the motorcycle driver, cameraman can't pan up. 187 music plays, and Nicho – in a robe but still wearing his normal glasses and bandana - walks to the ring. He's one injured guy and they're many. Obviously, the way to go is just to run into Nicho’s club. Decnnis down. Billy down. Chris trios, and clubbed in the groin. Alan takes a drop toe hold and a club to the backside. (Maniacos wisely never get involved.) Everyone splits, and Nicho checks on Lider by sitting behind him and pointing at the rudos. The doctor is just about as late showing up here as he was with Octagon.

Mesias/Perro video package.

Replay of Octagon and motorcycle dude. Announcers debate the Cibernetico-ness of the driver. Cibernético doesn't strike me as a guy who'd wear a helmet, so that's fair.

Match 3: El Mesías, Heavy Metal, La Parka Jr. vs Electroshock, Hernandez, Zorro
Centro Civico de Ecatepec, 09/19/2010

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 13:14
Rating: different, not good
Notes: Team AAA come to the ring second, but as a group. Metal has another guitar in hand but manages to not break it in the first 15 seconds. Piero is ref.

Técnicos are all angry and brawling. Parka forgets which Parka he is and throws Zorro into the crowd to brawl with him. That's Park's move! Rudos get destroyed like it there was a pre-existing comeback. Announcers thrown it to break about ten seconds before they actually cut away, which is always odd.

And first, another AAA vs Sociedad video package.

Técnicos continue destroying the rudos. Parka holds Hernandez in a choke (using Zorro's Spain flag) for Mesías punches. Metal chokes Electro a lot. Hernandez finally stops Metal with on charge with a kick and pulls himself to the top rope, but Mesías just superplex him off the top. Parka and Mesías should never try a double spinebuster again, they’ve almost killed Zorro. Double armscissors on him while Metal just kinda stands above and watches. Zorro slides out to escape a Metal corner dropkick, Mesías tries to grab Zorro but is leveled by Hernandez's flying shoulderblock, and Electro yanks Metal to the floor. Parka still elbows Hernandez repeatedly, and Zorro complains to Piero. Piero stops him – about the closed fists, I guess? Piero spends the rest of the match telling Parka he can’t get involved, and it never makes much sense from a técnico referee. Rudos take control of the rest. Rudos beat up Metal & Mesías while Piero keeps Parka out for some reason. Electro takes Metal to the floor, and Parka should just run towards them to fight. Metal's dropped on the entrance. After Electro hits Metal with some rope, Parka does turn up with a chair. Hernandez and Mesías decide to just fight one on one with chops. I don’t know why Zorro is wandering around, but he is. Hernandez is eventually able to drop Mesías with the big shoulderblock.

AAA/Sociedad video package.

Piero has left the ring to argue with Parka about holding onto his chair. Meanwhile, Zorro is superplex Metal of the top rope, and Hernandez adds a tope rope plash. Good thing they don't try for a pin. Electroshock has the rope, and ties it around Metal. Metal’s sent outside, and Electro pulls the rope over the top rope, very slowly. Metal sells that he's being shocked to death, though it look like he could easily escape or at least not choke if he just stood up. Mesías is too busy clotheslining the other rudos to help. Even after, Mesías boots the rudos around instead of saving Metal’s life. Parka finally sneaks past Piero and hits Electro to break it up. Parka’s clothesline misses, and Electroshock topes Metal, still in the nose. Electro goes back to pulling on the noose, just a lot closer. In the ring, Parka gives Hernandez, Mesías adds a top rope splash, and Piero counts – but Zorro breaks it up. I thought it’d be surprised if they'd pin Hernandez, even like that. Ring is cleared of everyone but Zorro and Parka, and Parka gets an armbar, and then a crossface. Zorro is inches away from the ropes, but gives up. He does hang on longer than usual.

Parka won't let go, of course, because he’s angry. Piero pulls him off and they argue about it. Meanwhile, Metal is still being choked to death on the outside. Parka is the only one in the ring who realizes it, and kicks Electro away from Metal. Doctors are out again. So is Joaquin Roldan, though he’s watching from the entrance opening, as if he's waiting for a cue and doesn't realize he's on TV already

Mesías is so distraught, he has trouble finishing his catchphrase. (Or he was just stretching it out for the chant, maybe that.) Mesías says he'll go in the cage match and have the singles match with Perro, if that's what AAA needs. Parka gets the microphone so he can yell at the camera some.

Heroes Inmoratles hype package, including Elegido and the Militia talking about their match. There's a part with Parka demanding to know what Crazy Boy saw – he just came in time to see Octagon down.

And that's it.
