AAA on Televisa #938 (05/15/2010)
Recap: 05/19/2010

Previously: Electroshock turned on Dr. Wagner, and Pimpinela wasn't much help. La Parka challenged LA Park. Sabu & Dr. Wagner had a match of some sort. Vampiro returned, killed Joaquin. Maricela slapped Dorian.

Also, this Zorro/Vampiro bit, again.

Match 1: Cuervo, Escoria, Espíritu vs Crazy Boy, Gato Eveready, Relampago
Plaza de Toros la Concordia de Orizaba , 04/17/2010

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: (10:42) 2:52+7:50
Rating: Good
Notes: Entrances. Relampago has a new look, much more lightning, a lot less fire. Nice to see Gato Eveready still exists. Crazy Boy has been in search of new Mexican Powers for about 8 or 9 months now. It's a careful search! Rudos are La Secta this week. Nice to see Espiritu still exists. Pepe Casas is ref.

Gato armdrags Espiritu to the rudos' frustration, then tangles him up on the mat in a sort of escalera, requiring the other rudos to break it up. Técnicos respond, and they're on to crazy Boy/Cuervo. Crazy Boy gets the crowd to actually make noise by demanding it, but that doesn't last long. Crazy Boy rolls into a dropkick, but evades on the run a bit to land his own (odd, one footed version.) During some replays, Cuervo becomes Escoria, who reverses a whip to the corner, heel kicks Crazy, sets him on the top rope, carefully climbs to stand on the ropes, and pulls Crazy off with a 'rana. Cuervo falls on top to cover, but Pepe Cass doesn't even bother counting, just standing and waiting for Relampago to break it. Good thing he does. Break as that's getting going.

Back, in time for Relampago to land a springboard legdrop. Cuervo breaks that up. It's like we skipped the first six minutes of the match and went straight to people breaking up pins after big falls. Relampago rolls under a clothesline, stops and then gets dropkicking by Cuervo. Gato gets Cuervo with a springboard DDT., covers, and of course Espiritu breaking that up. Escoria stays in, stomps, and Espiritu comes back in and takes over for him. Huh. Espiritu sprints thru the ropes on a whip, then counters Gato's headscissors with a face first powerbomb, though one that didn't seem timed quite right. Crazy Boy breaks that up, and finally the rudos decided to all stomp him. Relampago comes in and gets punched, but Cuervo quickly dropkicks his partners by mistake to make it back to one on one. Cuervo whips Relampago towards the técnicos, and Gato bowls Cuervo over with an in-ring top rope tope con giro. Gato looks at Crazy Boy, who doesn't seem to know he’s supposed to make the cover right away. Cuervo kicks out at one. Técnicos whip, Gato dropkick to the knee, Crazy running double knees, Relampago goes a long with a springboard splash. One, two, broken up by the rudos. Rudos get it together, clearing the ring but Gato, then giving him a triple boot and a triple snap kick. Again, a rudo covers, and Pepe Casas doesn’t bother to count. It takes Crazy Boy longer to get there, running by Cuervo to dropkick Escoria and break up the pin. Meanwhile, Relampago springboards into an Espiritu dropkick, and Espiritu celebrate instead of paying attention to what else is going on. Crazy Bogy gets back up, but runs right into a Cuervo drop toe hold. Rudos clear out Gato Eveready, Escoria hooks Crazy in an inverted Indian deathlock, then the other Secta members feed him Relampago for a cristo at the same time. Escoria and Cuervo put armbars on Crazy Boy for good measure. That would do it, if there was anything to stop Gato from coming in to break it all up with a dropkick. There is not, so he does. Gato escapes an Escoria tilt-a-whirl while and lifts him into an over the shoulder airplane spin, then flops Escoria down on the mat. Cover one two Espiritu breaks it up and poses. Flapjack for Gato, running kick to the chest, cover one two Crazy Boy breaks it up with a dropkick. I have no idea who’s supposed to be in what corner, and Relampago very visibly appears to be just waiting on screen his next spot. Crazy Boy gives Espiritu a rolling snap mare and a kick to the chest. Standing on the chest senton, but Cuervo just stands next to the move, watches Crazy pin, and kicks him. Crazy tries a running kick, but Cuervo catches it, and trips him up. Cuervo off the ropes, Crazy stops him with a shot to the gut. After a couple more pointless reversals, Cuervo just locks on a crossface, and Relampago instantly breaks it up. Crowd restless about something, maybe the constant meaningless near falls, while Relampago pulls Cuero down via an armscissors. His submission is broken by Escoria, who's grabbing his own (taped and maybe soft braced) left elbow. Escoria drop toe hold, step on the back jumping leg drop, one two kickout. An actual kickout! Relampago lands a springboard plancha, one, two, kick! It's crazy, they actually let the same people go back and forth a bit. Relampago dropkicks out Escoria, who’s grabbing that elbow even more. Relampago tries a double jump rope flip moonsault to the outside, and ends up mostly missing Escoria. Cuervo and Crazy in, Crazy takes some chops, then Gato pops in from nowhere, leaps over Crazy’s back, right into a headscissors on Cuervo. Gato's Asai tornillo is right on target. Escoria clotheslines Crazy, clearing once again. Espiritu slides out on Crazy, but ducks, so he's seen an Ephesto match. Crazy slides out after him, Espiritu kicks him and whips him, but Crazy turns it around into a spinning kick on the apron, and adds in his Asai moonsault. Meanwhile, Escoria has loaded up his fingers. Swing, and Relampago stops him with a shoulder to the midsection. Relampago double jump springboard in, then misses a clothesline. Escoria punches him in the side of the head with the fingernails claws, then throws off the fingernail coverings directly in front of Pepe Casas. Pepe Casas was looking right at it, and the camera zooms in on the aluminum foil looking objects. The bit only works if the referee misses it. Behind the back powerbomb, one two three.

Did Escoria really need to cheat if he was going to do that move anyway? Maybe he doesn't do it if he doesn’t use the weapon. All I know is Escoria's elbow is really hurting him after the match, judging form the expression him after the fact.

In a backstage interview, Octagon says La Parka is La Parka, because AAA knows the name. OK.

LA Park is seen entering the building.

Dr. Wagner Jr. is in ring and talking. It's not made clear that this is from after last week's match, but there you go. Wagner is in full face mode, and calls on Silver King for turning on him. Silver King does not come out. Wagner complains it (and spits all over) the camera. Wagner says, if they don't come out there, he'll come after them.

Jack Evans & Generico are dancing to Jack's music when Extreme Tiger (and his belt) stop by. Everyone's hanging out in the same tunnel tonight. This segment is all in Spanish, which is a bit surprising. Jack introduces Tiger to his friend Generico, also from Tijuana. Before we get to find out if they've met before, Generico reaches out to touch Extreme Tiger's belt, which Tiger is not down with at all. Tiger will see them out for the match and leaves. Jack tells Generico not to do that, and Generico asks Jack why he doesn't have the belt. Jack explains he doesn't need the belt, he's already the best Cruiserweight in the world. Huh. Genericio, voice of reason!, says that's not true if he doesn't have the title. Jack thinks about this.

Dr. Wagner is sitting back stage when Ultimo Gladiador comes by to see how he's doing. Wagner wants to know where the kid stands – is he with the traitors or with Wagner? Gladiador says Wagner is the leader, of course he's sticking with Wagner. Wagner says together, they'll be the biggest stars in the universe. Gladiador gives him a look as he walks off.

Match 2: Extreme Tiger, Generico, Jack Evans vs Billy Boy, Decnnis, Ozz
Plaza de Toros la Concordia de Orizaba , 04/17/2010

Winner: rudos
Match Time: 9:50 (4:18 5:32)
Rating: Good
Notes: Billy Boy may not have Sexi Star with him any more, but he has a sunglasses. And maybe new music? He may have had it for months and we wouldn't know. Guapito gets his own entrance. No Hilario? Hooray. No reaction for Generico, but there have been few audible reactions tonight. Maybe that works in Sabu's benefit too. Generico is introduced from the United States, which is kind of close. Why are they playing Guapito's music again? Why didn't they edit out that music? Who knows. Break for Tiger's entrance. Pepe Casas is ref, and has to alert Jack and Tiger that they’re standing in the wrong corner before the match can get started.

Ozz wants a handshake from Generico. No. Shove. Pose. Ozz slaps him very hard. Generico tries, Ozz is unmoved. Ozz tries and Generico is very hurt. Generico winds up, and stomps Ozz. Off the ropes, spinning armdrag, pose, and Ozz boots him out. Ozz looks out the other way, and Generico slides back in. Lockup, Ozz kicks him in the corner. Ozz charge in, and Generico elbows him away. Hop to the middle buckle, kick to keep Ozz away, and springboard headscissors to send him out. Generic runs for a dive, but rope flips when Ozz moves out of he way. Generico stand, poses, and gets dropkicked in the back by Decnnis. Jack in, and knocking Decnnis down with a jumping spin kick to the head. Whip, jumping heel kick is ducked, avoidance spits, Jack escapes a slingshot, and elbows Decnnis. Whip, flipping dropkick sends Decnnis out. Jack dive – no, Decnnis moves out of the way. Jack swings to the apron, Decnnis tries to sweep the leg, Jack jumps over, kicks Decnnis down, points up, and flies off the apron from a Billy Boy. High kick. Jack almost clonks Decnnis on the head on the way down, which probably wasn't pat of the plan. Tiger in, but Billy avoids him and boots him down too. Chops. Billy turns to ride, and Tiger pulls him down by his hair. Off the ropes, avoidance, Tiger slides out and trips Billy up. Tiger to apron, Billy kicks him to in the side, Tiger still manages to springboard in and – now, I can't tell if he means to keep missing that dropkick and land on the back of guy's necks (which is really dumb) or if Billy just ducked when he wasn't supposed to. This is what Tiger did last time, so it's starting to look like purpose. Before we can figure out, Ozz takes off Tiger’s head with a dropkick, and both Ozz and Decnnis kick him in the side. There's a replay, so I guess that spot is what it's supposed to be. Rudos slam Billy, lift up Guapito and, toss him down on top. Pepe Casas is ready to count that pin, but the rudos aren't done. Guapito in and Jack with him, but the rudos strike them down. Break.

Questionably low kick by Decnnis on Jack. As Generico is kicked around, Ozz holds Jack for a Guapito kick. Guapito sticks around to kick Jack on the ground. Corner charges for Generico, including a Decnnis jumping enziguri. Decnnis frog splashes Jack. Extreme Tiger is stomped around. Decnnis and Billy crotch him on the post, and Ozz adds a dropkick to the head. Guapito shakes Generico around by his head while the rudos hold him down. Decnnis puts on a stretch muffler, just long enough to prove he can do it. Whip for Jack, who springboards to leap over a double clothesline, but Billy still knocks him down, and the others kick him in the back and chest. Rudos whip Jack again, but Generico grabs on to him. Ozz charges and gets kicked, then takes a headscissors out from Tiger. Técnicos run wild, with Generico plancha-ing Billy Boy, then giving him a running boot in the corner. Ozz cuts off Generico with a dropkick to the knee, and a kick to the chest, but Decnnis charges into a backdrop to the floor. Jack tries a springboard ‘rana on Ozz, but Ozz catches him and throws him out – sort of into a tope con giro on Decnnis, though he largely misses. Billy misses a sliding dropkick on Tiger, who connects on his Heavy Metal thru the ropes dropkick. Top rope springboard tornillo the floor by Tiger, nice. Everyone out, with Generico tricking Ozz into running into the post, then diving under the bottom rope and thru the corner for a spinning DDT. Generico is fired up, and crowd approves of that move. Generico brings Ozz back in, and stops to get the Ole chant going. No luck. Ozz meets Generico up top and grabs him. Superplex? Generico fights it off, trips up Ozz – crowd shot, that brainbuster must've failed. Ozz and Generico are on their feet in the ring after, and Ozz gives Generico a pumphandle piledriver. One two three.

That was all piledriver all the way, but no one cares. Ozz is just thrilled about getting a win. Replays last long enough for Ozz's music to repeat. There is an hour left in the show and they have one match left, no hurry.

Recap of Wagner/Electro previously.

Backstage, Silver King complains about Dr. Wagner stealing all the spotlight. Well, he's Dr. Wagner, what do you think he's going to do? They dub themselves Los Maniacos here. Electroshock gives Ultimo Gladiador the same ultimatum as Wagner – is he with them or not.

Match 3: La Parka Jr., Octagón, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Electroshock, Silver King, Último Gladiador
Plaza de Toros la Concordia de Orizaba , 04/17/2010

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 10:10 (6:39+3:31)
Rating: not really much of a match
Notes: Ultimo Gladiador is more rudo-ish than normal on the way to the ring. La Parka enters last. Hijo de Tirantes is ref. Break.

By the time they're back from the break, LA Park is running out and attacking La Parka from behind. Rudos attack the técnicos in the ring, so they decided to start the match anyway. Parka is slamming into the desk, and Park attempts to break a monitor on Parka's head.

Rudos are dominant in the ring, because it's 3 on 2. Parka gets in no offense, Park spotting him, jabbing him with a chair, and then using it to choke out Parka. Electroshock sort of stands over the Parkas and watches instead of actually helping anyone. Maniacos take the beatdown outside, allowing the Parkas to come in and fight. Hijo de Tirantes will allow it. Park misses a clothesline, misses a standing spin kick, and Parka clotheslines him down to one of the loudest reactions of the night. Crowd shot, and I bet they’re not covering up a top rope brainbuster here. Parka is so angry, he dances. Clothesline misses, and Parka powerslams him and punches him on the mat. Announcers making it clear that these are two different looking guys – was there a concern fans might not be able to tell them apart? Park scoops Parka up, and drops him with a martinete. Security, looking suspiciously like indy workers, rush the ring one at a time and get punched out by Parka. Hey, Gran Apache. The numbers get to Park, and he's force din the corner. Silver king and Ultimo Gladiador try to pull security off, but that's not working. Tirantes and Electro stomp on Parka on the mat, and that does work. There's plenty of security to hold Park back, but it takes a while for anyone to actually check on Parka. As usual, it takes even longer for security to get there. Rudos take the security people and beat them up for no particular reason. One gets pres slammed to the outside. Park is dragged out of the ring and to the back. Replays of the Martinete. Parka hasn't moved since.

Medical personal finally show up with the stretcher to pull get Parka, and the rudos go after them too, though the medical personal have better things to do than sell for this. Rudos throw part of the stretcher out, and the Red Cross guys decide to leave. Tirantes finally gets the rudos to cut it out and security handles putting Parka on the stretcher and taking him out. No time for a neck brace!

Break.

The match continues, and Pimpi starts the comeback soon after the break with a dropkick on Silver king and Electro. Octagon punches Gladiador around, gets Silver King with the spinning armdrag, and topes Electroshock. Pimpi clonks Gladiador in the head with his legs on a slingshots tope con Giro. That leaves Silver King alone with no one to fight – so enter Dr. Wagner Jr. Despite the music playing, Silver King is looking the wrong way, and thus has no idea Wagner is walking into the ring behind him. Tirantes tells Silver King that Dr. Wagner is right behind him, and still Silver King refuses to believe. Wagner waits and waits for Wagner to turn around, then Silver King believes – and backs off into the corner. Electro and Gladiador are up on the outside, but helping. Silver charges, right into a belly to belly suplex (sort of; not clean.) Whip, reversed, Silver King takes a handspring bounce off an empty corner, Wagner having moved out of the way. Wagner poses, and drops Silver King with a running Tornado DDT. Tirantes is now waving off the fall. Double underhook powerbomb. Tirantes refuses to count, and raises Silver King’s arm. To recap: LA Park piledriving La Parka is okay, Dr. Wagner interfering is illegal. (He is a rudo referee!)

Electro jumps into confront Wagner, by while they're pointing at each other, Ultimo Gladiador jumps in between to separate them. And to forearm Wagner and knock him down. Guess his decision is pretty clear, not that it even came up during the match. Electro powerbombs Wagner and asks the crowd if they want one more. Crowd could care less, but Electro does it anyway. CLIP.

Técnicos have cleared the ring, and are celebrating. Huh. Wagner eventually accepts an Octagon handshake. Wagner raises Pimpi and Octagon's arms. Wagner gets the microphone and demands a cage match with Electroshock. Electroshock walks off. Turning to Octagon, Wagner says he respect him, and shakes his hand. Wagner says Pimpinela is a real warrior, and offers a handshake. Pimpi thinks it over while the crowd chants for a kiss. Pimpi accepts the handshake and a hug, and then tries to sneak in a kiss. Wagner gets away, barely and Octagon tells Pimpi to calm down. Catchphrase.

Video recap of the show. And that's it.
