AAA on Televisa #926 (02/20/2010)

Recap: random violence. Eventually this turns into the travels of Sexi Star (turning on Cinthia & occasionally being beat by Fabi Apache), the Hermandad taking out Guapito and Mesías vs Wagner from GdT. Music underneath instead of voice over. Highlights of the last WagnerManiacos/Legion match to close it out.

Vignette: in a hard to hear segment, I guess Piero has been made senior referee and I think Roldan wants fair refereeing. Tirantes seems unhappy but going along with it.

Six sided ring this week!

In Ring: and thankfully already there is the entire Legion (Chessman, Alex, Zorro, Arturo and Konnan has the mic – nice to know you, Teddy) and Hermandad. Why is Chessman wearing a 7 jersey? Oh, it's a Michael Vick jersey! This is more interesting than Konnan talking trash about the CiberPaysos. Ridding us of them is Konnan's first resolution – the second one is Konnan guaranteeing the Legion will have all the titles. As Konnan wraps up, Nicho & Lider can be spotted in the background, trying to figure out if Konnan just vowed to take THEIR titles. Maybe they should ask? Wait, I guess it's 4.5 vs 2, maybe they shouldn't ask! It seems like Lider is angry – they're not in the Legion - and Nicho is the voice of reason. Who'd figure it.

Match 1: Fabi Apache, Mari Apache, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Cinthia Moreno, Polvo de Estrellas, Sexy Star
Polyforum La Huizachera, Tehuacan, Puebla, 02/01/2010

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 7:22
Rating: OK
Notes: No introductions. Piero is ref. Fabi is not wearing her cap, and just has a slightly shorter hair cut than her sister.

Exoticos start out. Pimpi goes thru Polvo pretty quick, and just ignores Cintha’s chops. Pimpi catches on, chops her, and waves to the crowd before climbing the ropes for the rope walk armdrag. Sexi Star changes, Pimpi moves, and drops Sexi with a spinning slams her. In the most staged manner ever possible, Cinthia and Sexi stumble into each other, and start arguing. Polvo immediately rushes over and tries to defuse the issue by getting in between them. That Polvo, always on the ball. Sexi and Polvo decide the best thing for team unity is shocking the técnicos with a surprise attack, and so they do. Beatdown commences. Fabi seems to take the worst of it, a suplex from Cinthia and a dropkick in the back in the corner from Polvo. Sexi and Cinthia have problems once again when Sexi pulls Cinthia off Fabi, so Sexi can choke her instead. Luckily for the rudas, Mari Apache intercedes before they can have another argument. A lot just random attacks, focusing on the two Apaches sisters. Pimpi rushes in and grabs Sexi to get involved, and that's when the rudos start working together, taking turns tossing Pimpi around by her hair. Cinthia and Mari can't get along about that either, but Sexi contents herself with posing for the crowd. It happens again when they're arguing over elbow drops on Pimpi. One very noticeable clip later, Polvo has to keep them apart again. Piero tries to help out, not that he's much of a help here. The only thing more obvious than these two turning on each other at the end is how Sexi stands on the second rope facing away from the camera, and then bends over so we can all get a look at her end. Corner clotheslines fail due to lack of teamwork, Cinthia kneeing Sexi star in the head and then blaming Sexi Star for being there. Apaches rush in and stomp the heck out of the blondes. Sexi seems to take the worse of it, including the double ax kick spot. Cinthia nearly gets her head taken off by a thrust kick, so it's about even. Polvo corner Fabi, but Mari flips her to safety on a whip, kicks Polvo away, and Fabi topple the exotico with a plancha. Sunset flip reversal spot ends up with Polvo on top, but Mari breaks it up. Polvo gets Mari with a dropkick. Sexi tells the crowd to quiet – whatever noise they are making is minimal, though the horns are plenty loud. Polvo slams Mari and heads up top, but pauses to kick a charging Fabi away. This buys Mari enough time to kick and slap Polvo while he's still on the top rope. The Apaches together pluck Polvo off the middle rope, walk around to the middle of the ring and drop him for a suplex. One two and Sexi breaks it up. Sexi and Cinthia clear out the other Apaches, but get back into a shoving match. Pimpi decides to get in the middle of it, knocking down Polvo and Cinthia with one kick. Polvo turns and clotheslines, but Pimpi ducks and Sexi takes it. Pimpi is super quick to the outside and to the top rope – missile dropkick. One two three. Polvo was fighting to get up, but didn't make it.

After some replays, and Pimpi trying to kiss Piero, Cinthia throws Sexi Star down and punches her a bit. Polvo watches at first, but then tries to help Piero separate the women as they roll around on the ground.

Backstage, Decnnis talks to Guapito on the phone, trying to figure out why he's on his own. Guapito's working on a big surprise.

Elsewhere, Dr. Wagner Jr. is upset about being bothered by Pimpi, who tries to talk his way into being a WagnerManiaco. Wagner says no WagnerManiaco dresses like that, but Pimpi says it's not about the wrestling, not the gear.

Match 2:Crazy Boy, Extreme Tiger, Rocky Romero vs Decnnis, Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario
Polyforum La Huizachera, Tehuacan, Puebla, 02/01/2010

Winner:  tecnicos
Match Time: 10:21 (3:57+5:27+0:57)
Rating: less than usual
Notes: Introductions Xtreme Tiger has his belt. Decnnis changed his music? It's been a while, maybe I forgot. Hermandad do not appear to have their belts, but they have Hijo de Tirantes. Lider is wearing his mask for no particular reason.

Rudos have issues even before the match starts. Decnnis starts, Hermandad refuse to even give him five, then Lider pushes him and shoves him down, taking his place in the match. Decnnis leaves, and Lider ends up getting stomped by all the técnicos at once. Nicho rushes in, only to get clotheslines around by Romero. Decnnis opt to stand on the apron and watching the técnicos go three on one. Lider is desperate for a tag, so Decnnis comes in, complains about the shove, and leaves. Técnicos throw Lider out, and Decnnis is able to convince them to make it one on one. Decnnis and Crazy Boy stay in, Decnnis getting the edge by reversing a corner headscissors into a face first powerbomb. Tiger rushes, and gets a Gori Special. Romero in, and forearms Decnnis in the face. Off the ropes, but Decnnis scoops him off and spins him into a F5. Decnnis dances. I’d like to tell you what the fans think, but I can't hear them over the horns. Hermandad rush the ring and beat down Decnnis. Nicho DDTs him, and they bring Decnnis to the apron. Why are chair set up on the outside? Hermandad yell 187, lift Decnnis up, and tosses him thru the chairs. SUDDEN BREAK

Or not, as they have time to plus Mesías/Morishma

Back from break, it's a pseudo return of AAA Noticias
- The Roldan received an award on behalf of AAA
- La Parka Jr. visited a handicap child, giving him a mask, and PC
- Ozz knocked out Black Abyss wit a loaded glove, and it was great.

Hey, the match. Six minute break there. Hermandad storm the ring, but the técnicos have the numbers and take care of him. Old friends Crazy and Lider are left in, Lider taking an odd route for a leg lariat, then taking off his own mask. Lider screams, gets a stunner into the middle rope, then a springboard dropkick to the face from Tiger. Lots of replays for that. Lider reverses a whip on Tiger, but Rocky boosts him to safety, consoles Lider, and punches Nicho for standing on the apron. Whip, reversed, Lider puts his head down too soon, and Rocky throws him down by it. Hijo de Tirantes with a warning, which Rocky actually acknowledges (to mock). That's charitable. Corner whip is reversed, by Rocky comes back with his leg lair. As Rocky continues doing moves that require running, cameras check on Decnnis, who is down on the outside. Someone might want to check on him, if he was dramatically crawling around. Nicho tries his luck against Rocky, and gets a lot of kicks. Crazy Boy back in, getting in a running forearm and a rolling stunner. Tag to Tiger - this match is full of quick tags from the técnicos – but Tirantes backs him off from Nicho for a moment. Tiger goes after Nicho anyway, and manages a spinning DDT off a reversal. Tag to Rocky, who punches Nicho. Off the ropes, Nicho leapfrogs, Rocky picks the leg. Kick, cutter, one two Lider breaks it up with a kick right to Rocky’s face. That looked extra painful, and Rocky rolls around on the mat while Lider clears the técnicos off the apron. Decnnis has now crawled halfway to the back. Maybe someone should help him. Rudos manages a powerbomb/backcracker combo on Rocky. There move on Tiger is missed, so we can take a look at the cut on Decnnis’ back. Decnnis appears to be pointing towards the ring now, so who knows. Chest breaker on Crazy Boy by Lider. As usual, no thought of going for pins, just more moves. Lider gives Tiger a double underhook backbreaker, while Nicho's move isn't really much shown. Sudden break.

Rudos bring a chair in, just to throw at one of the técnicos. Nicho holds it front of Crazy Boy for a Lider missile dropkick. Tirantes is trying to talk Lider out of it for some reason, but it works and there’s not a DQ. Rudos are in such a non-hurry, they have time to wander out and yell at the camera and the announcers. Meanwhile, Decnnis is back in the ring, surprisingly healthy. Rocky miss a clothesline, but Decnnis tells him to hold up, and falls down to be pinned. Rocky is baffled, then cover. Tirantes doesn't like this, and Arturo tries to warn his friends, but they don't figure it out in time. One two three, fair count.

Hermandad look at the ring, baffled and slow to realize it. The only one thinking with any speed is Decnnis, who gets out of the ring and gets out of the way of the flying chair after him. Lider chases him around the ring, throwing a chair that's closer to hitting people in the crowd than it is to hitting Decnnis. Decnnis can’t stop laughing at his teammates, but is smart enough to be laughing while backing up to the entrance. Rocky splits hi time celebrating and checking on his teammates, who are still down. Replays.

Backstage, near the AAA spraypainted wall, Konnan talks to Dorian Roldan about the good life, the kind of stuff that comes out from hanging out with Konnan. Dorian seems down with this, but Joaquin spots this and wants Konnan far away from his son. Konnan tells Dorian to call him, but of course Joaquin doesn't like that idea and tries to tell Dorian to hang out wit him. Yea, telling your kids who not to hang out with always works out well.

Another plug for Mesías vs Morishima

Match 3: Takeshi Morishima vs El Mesías
Polyforum La Huizachera, Tehuacan, Puebla, 02/01/2010

Winner: Mesias
Match Time: 6:29 (4:47+1:42)
Rating: OK for six minutes
Notes: The plugs earlier in the show did a good job of making Morishima look like a big guy Mesías is going to have trouble with, but outside of the tossed off mention of NOAH, no one watching this show has any idea who this man is. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.

Mesías and Morishima are face to face before the match, and those in the ring seem to be waiting for the whistle before it happens. They circle around for a moment, then come back, Mesías taking a lot. Off the ropes, shoulderblock, big man not going down. Mesías tries a clothesline, and that works no better. Headlocks, shot off, and Morishima easily knocks down Mesías. Announcers mention Anotnio Inoki, as a Japanese man they're familiar with. Mesías kicks Morishima and grabs the headlock. Ring Fujinama mention, so that's two. Morishima lifts Mesías up, and tosses him down on his back. Replay, hiding an obvious clip. Mesías is now seating in the corner, and Morishima gives him a running hipcheck to the face. Break.

Mesías is down in the middle of the ring now, and Morishima is climbing to the top rope. This is the first time on the show where the crowd is audible over the horns, making a lot of noise in trepidation of what Morishima is trying here. Mesías get to his feet, and Morishima flattens him with a missile dropkick. Arturo is quite impressed. The whole ring shook on Morishima's impact. Mesías is up to his knee, and shaking. Corner whip, Morishima charges in, Mesías kicks him in the head, and then rushes out of the corner, spearing Morishima. Both men down, only one shaking his arms. Replay of the spear, which looked pretty good. Both men are up when they return. Mesías chop, Morishima off the ropes, Mesías tries to backdrop Morishima, but he can't get Morishima over. Morishima just stands over him for a moment, so maybe Mesías was supposed to pull it off. Morishima forearms Mesías in the back when he can't get it. Kenzo Suzuki mention – he's Japanese! (3) Morishima punches Mesías in the face. Off the ropes, Mesías gets that backdrop this time. Replay, and no clip for once. Mesías helps Morishima up by his hair. Morishima's punch is blocked, Mesías is not. Mesías off the ropes, and spun out by a Morishima clothesline. One two no. Morishima yells at Mesías to get up. Morishima off the ropes, Mesías powerslam (!) one two NO. Whip reversed, Mesías sunset flip, and Morishima blocks it and sits down. One two NO. Morishima picks up Mesías, yells, and before he can do whatever he's going to do, Mesías catches him with his jumping STO. Mesías doesn’t both covering, going up while during a replay. Top rope splash! Amusingly, the photographers turn around and run out of the way before the Legion run out. This time, we've got Zorro, Alex, and Chessman rushing in and stomping and punching Mesías. Tirantes will allow it. Chessman and Alex hold Mesías for a Zorro cane shot, but before they can get it, out rushes Super Fly, Gato Eveready, Argenis and Laredo Kid. Legion bails before the técnicos can get there - so they attack Morishima? WHY? Morishima doesn't feel any of it, and lays out all four guys with clubbing shots. Mesías uses the distraction to punch Morishima in the face, then lifts him up on his shoulders (!) and drops him in a F5. Timing was a little off, but I don't suppose Mesías has a lot of practice with a guy that size. One two three.

Mesías celebrates, with the técnicos coming in to raise his arm. Yea, Mesías and the Fuerza Aerea, such obvious good friends.

Match 4: Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock, Último Gladiador vs Alex Koslov, Chessman, Zorro
Polyforum La Huizachera, Tehuacan, Puebla, 02/01/2010

Winner: WagnerManiacos by DQ
Match Time: 17:43 (2:53+5:37+6:29+2:44)
Rating: typical
Notes: Very worried about entrances for this match are taking place with 42 minutes left in the new hour. Alex has something green he's showing off – a slice of a mask – but it's not clear what it is. Chessman has a jacket! The Legion is paying off for him this time, at least in terms of wardrobe. This is the only match where everyone gets the inset videos, which seem there to cover up some editing on the entrances. Electroshock is wearing a matching Ultimatum mask again.

Legion jump the WagnerManiacos at the whistle, beating them down thru the first (short) segment and into the second.

Coming out of the second segment, Zorro is shown backstage, ranting about 21 and 12, and lots of destruction and lots of blood. He seems like he's trying to decide the two numbers, and leaning towards 12. Whatever that means.

Second segment beatdown is more team work spots, though this isn't a usual Legion trio and it shows. Zorro does a fine job of presenting Alex's hat to him so he can kick Electro in the corner, and Alex replays the favor by whipping Electro into a Zorro kick. Nice triple dropkick spot on Electroshock too. Wagner is so concerned, he’s strutting around outside, clapping and waving. Wagner takes down Chessman as he comes in, but gets knocked around in the corner with many kicks and punches from Alex and Chessman. Of course, as soon as they back away to allow Zorro room for a shot, Wagner is up and practicing for the crowd, as if nothing happened. I guess nothing did. Camera focuses on Zorro, because it's clear he's waiting to do something, but he instead gets to stand there with an annoyed look on his face. Alex comes back over, punches Wagner a bit, and whips him towards Zorro, but Wagner turns it around, Alex eats the cane shot, and the comeback is on. Lots of brawling the other way. Funny how, when Wagner hits Zorro, Zorro does not pop up two seconds later and dance around. WagnerManiacos brawl into the crowd, brings chairs into play. Odd that the video boards are turned off during the main event. Break as the WagnerManiacos beatdown is till going.

Alex takes chair and belts shots to the back. WagnerManiacos threaten to beat up Piero for no particular reason. Everyone brawls back out of the ring and into the crowd again, and Piero starts counting them out, which gets the WagnerManiacos to come back in and pose. Clip to WagnerManiacos showcases, Electroshock first. Alex has – whatever it is he has – around his neck as he comes in to brawl with Electroshock. That goes very badly for him. Chessman and Zorro mange to knock Electro out working together, but Alex is caught on a pescado and booted into the front row. Chessman and UG are, and Chessman almost immediately kills himself with a top rope moonsault sideslam – Chessman didn't really get his head over, and I can't believe he didn't land on it. The camera couldn't keep up with the move, but I think Chessman turned his head and hit the side of it. Ugly with a capital U, but Chessman seems fine. Electroshock broke it up with a kick, Zorro got him, and that led to a Zorro/Wagner brawl. Wagner runs into a superkick, but Gladiador breaks up that pin. Zorro knocks him out of the ring cancels him out with a pescado. Electro, very winded, misses Chessman on a charge and awkwardly spears the pot – he slipped on the way in. This leaves Wagner and Chessman in. Chessman miss a charge, Wagner monkey flips him, but Chessman lands on his feet and spears Wagner. Impressive. Chessman cuts his throat and head up top. Wagner standing up in the center of the ring, but Chessman just stands on the top rope and waits to get punched. Wagner joined him, and superplexes him off. Wagner covers, one two NO. Break.

Chessman punches Wagner, but his kick is caught, and Wagner kicks him. Wagner Driver – no Chessman escapes, and lifts Wagner onto his shoulder. Wagner slips behind Chessman and shoves him in the corner. Konnan is already jogging to the ring, so much so that we miss Wagner's next move (Wagner Driver?) Konnan knocks Wagner down from behind, punches him, and rips up his mask. Piero watches - maybe a DQ here? I guess Konnan is less dangerous than a glove! It takes 3 people to rip Wagner's mask – Alex is out, I guess. Pimpinela's music plays, and he runs out with a chair. Chair shot to Chessman, clothesline for Alex (bad time to wake up) and Zorro's long gone. Konnan is trapped in a corner – that seems to happen to him a lot. Crowd is DYING for a kiss here. Konan off a handshake, and changes his mind to shove. Pimpi gets up and shoves Konnan to the corner, but before he can do more, Chessman, Zorro and Alex are on him with stomps. WagnerManiacos are up, but rolling out and watching from there, kind of a jerk move. Alex superkicks Pimpi and punches him many times. Chessman is looking alert for a guy who just got hit the head with a chair, DDTing Pimpinela. WagnerManiacos finally decide to come back, and the Legion decide this is a good time to lead. Piero is waving his arms off now – and raises the hands of the WagnerManiacos. That took a while, but thought they might totally forget to do a finish there.

Legion leave, while WagnerManiacos discuss with Pimpi – and Wagner shoves him down. They still want nothing to do with him. Replay of Pimpi helping, and another Wagner/Pimpi discussion doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Long recap of the show, because they've got plenty of time to fill – there's even stuff cut from the opening segment shown this time, because they've got that kind of time.

Backstage, the legion jumps Pimpi, throwing whatever they can find (ladder, printer box, Zorro's cane) on him and stomping, then holding him down and ripping up his gear. They yell at Pimpi for getting involved in their business.

And that's it.
