AAA - 11/15/08
Recap: 11/15/08

Previously: urn wackiness, DGM wackiness (they have a fancam of the unmasking - was Nikki sown taking a Bronco Buster last time?)  and Cibernetico/Chessman/Mesias wackiness. They don't' have an angle of that one. Also, Zorro lost. These things happen.

This week: a fail of a tag team match, AAA vs the Legion and more urn wackiness.

Vignette: DGM. Highlight: Alex [speaks Russian]. X-Pac: Yea, what he said!

Match 1: El Brazo (c), Decnnis, Escorpion Negro vs Pimpinela Escarlata (c), Gato Eveready, Alebrije
Auditorio Miguel Barragan de San Luis Potosi, 10/15/08

Winner: Metrosexuals
Match Time: 8:17
Notes: No entrances, no introductions. We must've come just after they've extorted the crowd to chant for Porky, because it dies about ten seconds in. Piero is ref.

And ten second later, the rudos beatdown the tecnicos. Toss the Alebrije isn't as good as usual, neither is the splash. Alebrije takes Guapos have lots of combs worked out, including a double fireman's slam/neckbreaker combo. Like every single Guapos match lately, Guapito falls down being whipped across the ring (this time, Escorpion Negro shoved him to hard) and that starts the comeback. This is also helped by the tecnicos standing in place, and waiting for Alebrije to clothesline them. Alebrije's lifted Valiente's layout chestbreaker. I do not know why. Alebrije dropkicks Guapito off the apron, into the arms of Decnnis and Scorpio. Alebrije teases a dive, so they toss Guapito over their shoulder to Escorpion Negro - who doesn't quite make the catch. That sucks for Guapito., landing face first on the floor. Escorpion grabs his back in pain too. Clip to Guapito/Cuije. Clip to Pimpi's showcase. Pimpi does something to the Guapos on the outside that gets clipped out, and the Guapos are tricked into chopping each other. Pimpi's kiss of El Brazo is not clipped out.  I just remembered I'm supposed to be calling these guys the Metrosexuals, oops. Gato's in for about five seconds before Alebrije takes his place. Escorpion dropkicks him out, Alebrije pulls Escorpion out, goes in, and gets in his tope. Gato/Decnnis is mostly Decnnis, setting up a top rope plancha on Alebrije. Gato adds his tornillo, but only gets his partner. Captains left in. Chop battle. Brazo gets one forearm to the back, slams Pimpi, starts to head up, crowd shot clip, Brazo's up and getting help from Piero to stay there, top rope splash one two three. Announcers can't even finish say "rudoooooos" before they clip to

Brazo complaining to Roldan about Porky not being retired. He's going to take it on Porky's friends and Pimpi is lapped around.

Promo: Pirata Morgan and Hijo de Pirata Morgan rant about ballerinas, mostly that darn Elegido. This is clipped too.

Vignette: Chris interrupts Elegido working out to talk about the Pirata. Elegido thinks he's got a plan.

Match 2: Pirata Morgan & Hijo de Pirata Morgan vs Chris Stone & Elegido
Auditorio Miguel Barragan de San Luis Potosi, 10/15/08

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 7:53
Notes: Entrances. Elegido sexually assaults a turnbuckle. Tecnicos jump the rudos in the aisle, and get beat. That was dumb. Pepe Casas is ref,, but doesn't want to get in the way of the fights or anything.

Chris and Hijo go into the crowd, while Pirata jabs Elegido with a chair many times. Hijo does a tope con giro off the stage into Chris Stone, which is actually pretty cool if you're going to do crowd brawling. Clip, and Elegido's taken back to the ring to be worked over while Chris holds his arm and slowly joins them. In case you forget, and I know I do, Hijo is one of the taller, skinner, more athletic Pirata kids. Now that he has a chance to shine, he's flying all over the place here. Quebrada, springboard top con giros from outside the ropes on to Elegido, dropkicks on Chris while he's hanging upside down. Senior is more than happy to let Hijo do all the crazy stuff while holding people in place. There's a to of clips in here. Elegido blocks a whip into a chair, starts to reverse it to send Pirata into it instead, Pirata stops, and ten run anyway. Very stilted. Brawling comeback for the tecnicos. Chris/Hijo's one on one had Hijo doing wacky bumps just to get them in, and Chris sending his mouth with a rope walk headscissors. Chris has a wacky dance, which Pirata Sr. comes in just to mock. Chris dropkicks him down, tags to Elegido. There's no wave transitions between clips this week, but when the cheering crowd suddenly dies, you can kinda tell. All four end up in, Elegido boosts Chris into a dropkick on Pirata, Elegido dropkicks out Hijo, Chris topes Hijo, Elegido topes Pirata. Crowd not loudly into it at this point, and that last exchange was a bit messy. After replays, Chris lands a second rope headbutt on Hijo, but Pirata breaks up the pin. Elegido dropkicks Pirata Sr., Hijo superkicks Elegido, Chris slides under Hijo and get thrown by a hiptoss. Odd. Hijo charges Chris again, and Chris backdrops him all the way to the floor. Hijo has to get up quick from that, so Chris can tack on a plancha. Elegido and Pirata Sr., left, and Elegido leads with his head a running headbutt. Elegido goes for it again, but Elegido pulls off his mask. No problem, Elegido gats up anyway and inside cradles him one two three. Elegido gets his hand raised, showing off his taped face. Elegido starts to dance after the match, but Piratas attack. This last a half a second before break.

Vignette: Nicho is still angry about losing to the Stones. Lider tries to calm him down, but Nicho is so mad, he starts ranting to the camera. Lider walking around in overalls without a shirt is not a look that's working for him.

Vignette: Meanwhile, Teddy had had it with AAA's racism, although he's actually more mad at X-Pac, although he might be mad at Jack, although he's not sure because he hasn't watched the tape. FOCUS. Jack explains how hard he was fighting to defend his friends, but they were just too many. Having invented a fool proof cover story, Jack decides to point the blame elsewhere - Jack says Konnan told him not to touch X-Pac. Teddy is so mad, he also starts cutting a promo to the camera. He's going to take out his anger by doing NEW MOVES. Jack: "We're the Martin Luther Kings of Mexico!" Yea, I remember how shooting star presses were a vital part of the bus boycotts.

Match 3: Teddy Hart, Jack Evans vs Nicho el Millionario, Joe Lider
Auditorio Miguel Barragan de San Luis Potosi, 10/15/08

Winner: HF2
Match Time: 8:18
Other Match Notes: no entrances - or introductions. Tirantes is ref.

Hx attack before the bell, but HF2 make random comebacks with a Jack doing a springboard corkscrew moonsault and Teddy doing a moonsault to the floor. I suppose this is all there is to this match. Neither team is over as tecnicos, and both team are just doing moves. Teddy does an epic sell of moonsaulting into Nicho's feet. Clip ahead to mid Hx-offense. No tables or chairs in this match, oddly enough. Tirantes slow counts Nicho for no reason. Nicho starts yelling at Nikki for no reason, Nikki gets up on the apron, and Teddy attack. Counter, counter, Nicho hits a kick anyway. More Hx offense. Nicho argues with Tirantes interminably until finally laying him out. Because of this and Jack's USA chant, crowd eventually chooses Hx to root for. Jack's springboard 450 plancha to the floor is pretty cool. While Lider and Teddy continue to do head dropping spots in the ring, DGM's music plays - even though they're entering thru the crowd. Alex looks very business casual with tie hanging down and his dress shirt/jeans combo. X-Pac looks like X-Pac. Where's Rocky?  Lider and Teddy continue to have his match, Teddy even hitting his corkscrew elbow drop, pointing at the interlopers, and going up again. Alex trips Teddy up and, X-Pac waffles him in the head with a chair. Oh, Rocky's in Japan by now, right?  Lider falls on top of Teddy, one two three. Tirantes had no problem not calling a DQ for the team he was favoring, and counts that one and normal speed.

Nikki, apparently a moron, runs in the ring to argue with Alex. Alex, being Alex, gives her the stop sign and the jumping kick to the head. Nikki's dragged in the corner, and X-Pac ads the Bronco Buster. Doesn't get clipped out this week. DGM leave back thru the crowd. Why is Hx going with them? That should probably be a plot point. HF2 regroup, Jack carrying Nikki off on his shoulders. Way to go, Teddy.

Noti AAA
- AAA won the Sol de Oro plaque
- Konnan/Roldan angle recap. WHY WAS ZORRO NOT IN THE SUV? Why are they showing us Rellik when he hasn't debuted yet? This video package lasts longer than all of Super Fly's offense in that last three months. That's probably underselling it.

Vignette: Chris Stone is leaving. Exciting. Oh, this is Hx beating him up in the parking lot, got it. That serves him for not staying for the whole show. On the other hand, would I rather take a beating from Nicho & Lider or watch the rest of this?

In Ring Segment of Boring: Contract signing. Konnan's got Kenzo and Electro. Roldan has Parka, Super Fly and Aerostar. Eight men in the cage, winner get what the winner gets. Even if this was a good storyline, it's tough to be this excited about it when you know the match they're building up to already doesn't seem to mean that much. They do a nice job of laying down the stipulations, at any rate. Roldan signs it first. Konnan signs it. Wow, excitement. Roldan names his team - La Parka, Octagon, Super Fly (what a bad pick - also Aerostar must feel great being there and being passed over for that dope) and does a big introduction for Latin Lover, who does a promo via phone. Konnan is not concerned about any of these people. Latin's phone connection is not so good. They show action shots of Latin Lover thru this, so Mr. Niebla and Abismo Negro make AAA TV for the first time in a while. Konnan doesn't want to announce his team, so Roldan and team leaves - only to get jumped. Legion are a little late in jumping so Aerostar (safely outside the ring) climbs up the apron, and sticks his head into get chair shot. ) Electro clumsily powerbombs Super Fly thru the contract table. Super Fly CALMLY STANDS BACK UP so Electro can hit him with a chair. This promotion is moronic. Super Fly is bleeding, so Konnan signs the contract - that he's already signed - but this time in blood. No one in the back cares enough to come out and help these guys. Parka takes very little of the beating.

WAVE TRANSITION. This is record breaking right here. I guess this counts as the start of the match. Still no ref, so who knows. La Parka Jr. stays way far away form this as Aerostar and (mostly) Super Fly are destroyed. Parka holds a chair and that's enough to get the Legion guys to walk off. Konnan's oh so proud of his contract signing bit. Everyone walks to the back, so I guess they're all just going to come back out for the match?

Vignette: in the back, the Doctor will not let Super Fly compete. He really wants to, but he can not. Parka is angry and frustrated. Super Fly wants to wrestle, but Parka convinces him to stay.

Vignette: I agree with whoever said Zorro is just always drunk. He's off in crazy land taking to the Legion, still upset about interference last week. Konnan takes away Zorro's cane to get his attention. He's got to focus if he's going in the ring with the other three guys later. Zorro's not doing good with that and wants to talk to Teddy as the others leave for their match, but that doesn't seem to go anywhere.

Match 4: Konnan (c), Electroshock, Kenzo Suzuki vs Super Fly, Aerostar, La Parka Jr. (c)
Auditorio Miguel Barragan de San Luis Potosi, 10/15/08

Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 6:16
Other Match Notes: So, yea, they just cut out everyone's introductions but Parka anyway. Piero is ref.

Beatdown. Really, one for two segments, since that was the contract signing too. Kenzo confuses us all by actually going for pinfalls on Aerostar, and again. Electro brings out a wood panel, and sets it in the corner. Super Fly runs in on his own match springboard head scissoring Electro into the table. If the table actually broke (like it was intended to), that would've been the most preposterous thing ever. Parka gets a one man comeback one everyone (Aero still dead, Super Fly only having one move in him), including shoving Electro the the table. Just like Super Fly, Electro has to get up right after taking a table spot, so Parka can get in more offense. Parka almost drops Elector on his head on a flapjack. Electro gets up again, and runs in a fujiwara armbar for the win. Super Fly pounds Electro after the match - did someone figure something out? Who knows, they cut to break.

After the break, the fight is still going. Rellik calmly walks to ringside, spits mist, and pulls Parka off Konnan. Bad punch, superkick. Kick, powerbomb for Super Fly. Aerostar comes back to life so Rellik can press powerslam him. Legion point to Rellik to indicate he's on their side, and he pounds Parka some. Konnan gets the microphone to introduce Rellik as his fourth team member. Why is Gato Eveready running out for the save? This does not work! One boot and he's done. Elegdo's turn, so Rellik can spinebuster him. Alebrije's turn - they'll all coming separate, the better to make them look dumb. Alebrije runs right into a thrust kick. Gato gets up, and takes some knees, as AAA's music plays. Crowd chants for Cibernetico, but they're not getting him. They get Roldan again, standing outside and looking stern. Roldan says his side is going to win. That was pointless. Super Fly gets beat up more.

Clips: Konnan getting into an argument with someone on a talk show. Hey, Arturo's there too. Random guy is tied up. This is much more comedy than serious. Oh, he slapped random guy, who cares. (I guess he was arguing AAA was fake, and everything they did here proved him correct.)

CMLL's ring announcer is getting commercials? WEIRD.

Video Package: Chessman, vs Mesias, last week.

Promo: Mesias. He's not happy with this match idea, to say the least. Mesias all but promises to turn on his teammate, while threatening the other guys too.

Promo: Cibernetico, who doesn't get this match either. Cibernetico keeps switching his sunglasses from hand to hand and pointing it at the camera, and it's so distracting I forget if there was a point here. There was not.

Match 5: Mesias, Chessman vs Cibernetico, Zorro in a relevos increibles match
Auditorio Miguel Barragan de San Luis Potosi, 10/15/08

Winner: Cibernetico & Zorro
Match Time: 7:07
Other Match Notes: Mesias says he works alone, but still walks to the ring with his druids. Break after introductions. Tirantes Jr. is ref.

Chessman and Zorro go after Cibernetico and Mesias, and it's off. Beatdown. Chessman sure loves the chairshot to the chairshot to the leg. They brawl separately, with the crowd dead, for about 6 minutes, and then Cibernetico suddenly makes a comeback. Cibernetico and Zorro are whipped into each other and start fighting with each other, then, Mesias and Cibernetico team up for a double backdrop with Chessman, and there's no more regard for team. Double boot to Zorro's head, double elbow drop on Zorro. Mesias and Cibernetico go face to face, and do not make out. Pretty sure they want to at this point. Chessman and Zorro sneak in to foul each one. I guess they're going to fight. Chessman tries to get the crowd to cheer for him - perhaps not aware he's not a tecnico. Chessman begs off - giving up again? - random crowd shot, Zorro turns away for some reason, and Chessman fouls him. Tirantes thinks about it, thinks about it - and awards the DQ. THIS was a waste of time.

Chessman poses, Zorro's down in the ring, the other just hang around outside the ring, somewhat selling . And that's how it ends, but for the music video to close.
