AAA - 10/04/08 (#853)
Recap: 10/09/8

Last week: Mini Abismo advanced, Fabi beat Cinthia. Aerostar beat Jack, got beat up after. This is far more focusing on Jack beating him up. Ozz beat Elegido while Vamp and Mesias hit each other a lot.  And Chessman doesn't like you when try to stop him from killing someone. He is the assassin of the red light, of course.

Tonight: Who's the surprise on the rudo side? Vampiro, Elegido and Alan vs Mesias and the Sect. Minis trios.

This week, the ring is four sided, for the usual tight floor space reasons. Instead of coming down an isle to the ring, the wrestlers are actually coming out from an entrance just below the seats, and stepping up to the ring. Much safe, though I wouldn't suggest diving to that side.

Match 1: Ángel Mortal, Gallego, Mr. Cóndor (c) vs Argenis, Billy Boy (c), Gato Eveready
Palenque de la Feria, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 09/07/08

Winner: tecnicos by DQ
Match Time: 5:21
Notes:
Ref is Pepe Casas. No entrances. Consgrados are still wearing their masks, and attack Billy as soon as he's announced as captain.

The first long look at the crowd comes a minute in. Always annoying, and unclear if they're actually clipping something yet again, since the Consgrados are doing the same whip into a backdrop to the floor spot when they come back. I guess Billy's must've gone bad. Argenis reveres the whip on his, and Mr. Condor backdrops Gallego out. Tecnicos have to wait for the rudos to stop turning on each other to attack them. Showcases go Gato, then Billy Boy (so Argenis was clipped?) Lots of Consgrados flying off backdrops. Rudos retake control after shrugging off an Argenis plancha, and then just scattering on a Gato Eveready plancha, allowing him to hit the empty pool. Tecnicos are cleared out, except Gato, who gets a triple flapjack. Rudos rip at the tecnicos masks, and that's when they decide to show replays (did his face get exposed - no, they finally got to the replay of Gato being fouled. Rudos won't break away from Gato, Pepe Casas pushed them away to check, rudos pull him away to him him more. Billy comes in to cover up, and Pepe Casas rules this one over. This was a lot lesser than usual.

Vignette: Apaches are tired of facing the Morenos every week. They'll have to beat them at VdE to finish them off for good.

Match 2: Cinthia Moreno (c), La Hechicera, Oriental vs Fabi Apache (c), Gran Apache, Mari Apache
Palenque de la Feria, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 09/07/08

Winner: rudos
Match Time: 11:03
Notes: No entrances. Hijo de Tirantes is the ref. Apache's are in match yellow and black.

Highlight of Apache/Oriental short opening is Gran Apache mocking Oriental, and Oriental mocking Gran Apache mocking Oriental with dueling crane poses. Mari and Hechicera knock them out, and Mari wins that short battle. Fabi has no problem with Cinthia either, so Oriental decides to mix this up and beat up Fabi, mocking the crowd along the way. Rudas rush the other tecnicas too, and it's time for crowd shot montage. Morenos and friend attack Fabi's left knee for a bit. Timing is a bit off on their combo moves. Oriental is pretty evil here, dropkicking Mari while in the Tree of Woe, then rushing out of the ring to ram Fabi into the post. Hechicera gives Fabi a second rope splash. Fabi's hung upside down for a double dropkick, but gets her head up in time and that starts the comeback. Oriental jumps into the crowd and runs up the stairs to escape from Fabi's wrath (doesn't work), while the other two destroy take out Hechicera (including a Mari senton con giro.) Mari kicks Cinthia right in the face, too. Accidentally funny is all the rudos being whipped together, Oriental and Cinthia falling down, but Hechicera going around staggered. Gran Apache gives her a punch, she staggers off another direction, Mari hits her with a tomahawk chop, Hechicera still refuses to go down. She ends up taking a rolling bump thru the ropes to the floor, so she never has to actually go down. Oriental and Fabi have a battle over doing a Wagner Driver, and they cut to crowd shots right in the middle of it. They don't come back until Mari breaks it up while fighting with Hechicera. Gran Apache helps out, but accidentally slaps Mari out of the ring when he's dealing with Cinthia. Cinthia gives Mari with an apron senton con giro. Hechicera belly bumps Gran Apache out, goes all the way up (with help from Hijo de Tirantes) and barely makes it to the Apache on a plancha. not much room on that side of the ring. Oriental and Fabi are left in the ring,  Oriental getting the best of it by far. Oriental covers Fabi easily after a missile dropkick, for two. Outside, they're checking on Hechicera. Oriental gets a near fall on a snap mare and a dropkick, as Hechicera is carried off on a stretcher. Fabi and Oriental go on for far longer than you'd expect for endgame, while Gran Apache and Mari seem to be talking about something. Oriental completely spikes Fabi on a powerbomb, Apaches have no one to hold them back so opt to pretend they're hurt, Oriental covers one two three.

That was one ugly looking powerbomb, Fabi never got her upper body totally horizontal. Hijo de Tirantes waves for some help, but the help just left with Hechicera. Break.

Noti AAA
- big surprises at Verano de Escandalo. Which involves the card being repeated one more time.
- Triplemania (clipped) is coming to a DVD
- Zorro is crazy video package. Someone's a fan of 90s rock.

Video Package: Minis Tournament finalist recap. This video package is better than the matches have been, though it seems like a lot of it is from the trios matches they were doing before the tournament.

Match 3: Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Histeria, Mini Kenzo Suzuki vs Mascarita Sagrada 2007, Mini Charly Manson, Octagoncito
Palenque de la Feria, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 09/07/08

Winner: rudos
Match Time: 8:45
Other Match Notes: Entrances! That lone means they're giving this more time than most of the entrances. The highlight is seeing Mini Kenzo do the Kenzo Suzuki entrance. Mini Histeria just reminds us normal Histeria hasn't been on TV in a while. Maybe they should just make Mini Abismo Negro the normal Abismo Negro.

Even the captain introductions is randomly cut out. Pepe Casas is ref. Rudos jump tecnicos. Mini Kenzo has the kneedrop down. Toss the Sagrada. Comeback is out of nowhere on a whip - Octagon just pulls out a spinning armdrags, while everyone has suddenly gone to the corner. Not opposite corners- tecnicos are in the wrong corner some reason, and it sticks out when there's only four of them. I think they finally realize after Sagrada headscissors Kenzo around, taunts the other rudos, and then realizes the short walk to the back corner. Kenzo's next the the crash dummy for Octagoncito. Interesting to see they have enough confidence in him to get beat up, because he's been limited in his two singles matches. Histeria comes in, gets headscissors out, and Octagon tags out to Mini Charly before Abismo can get to him. Slap battle. Abismo gets Mini Charly with a powerslam, but kicked Mini Charly kicked out at two. Charly gets in a faceslam, and a off the top rope headscissors. Nice spinning armdrags into a spinning DDT too. Sagrada randomly rushes in (no tag, Charly hadn't gotten out and puts a knee bar on Mini Abismo. Charly leaves, and just as I wonder why the guy not in the title match is going over, Kenzo Suzuki's music plays. Kenzo parades around ringside in his street clothes, his mini trailing behind him. Kenzo goes in the ring and breaks up the pin, which would seem to be a DQ. Big boot for Octagoncito, big beat for Mini Charly. Good to see we're back to having minis matches just be setups for rudos beating them down. Kenzo, wearing sandals, help beats up the minis until they get to a crowd shot. Girls scream, so I think we had something amusing happen. Tecnicos rally as soon as they get back to them, except for Mini Charly (since big Kenzo has him.) Dorado and Octagoncito do dives, only which we see. Big Kenzo hold Mini Charly for Mini Kenzo, but Mini Kenzo accidentally gets Big Kenzo with a slap, which is enough to disable him. Mini Charly ends Mini Kenzo out with a headscissors, and follows with a pescado. Major Kenzo presses Charly and tosses him on the apron. Octagoncito and Mini Abismo go back in, and Octagoncito reverses a powerbomb into a faceslam. Referee is busy, and missing Mini Abismo foul Octagoncito, then grab him for a German suplex. Pepe Casas takes a while to get back, and Mini Abismo holds that bridge forever. Pepe Casas thinks about it even after coming in, but counts the three.

Vignette: Jack & Teddy promo. Every fan knows they're the greatest tag team on earth, and HF2 has already beaten them twice. They're winning the titles in Guadalajara. Jack: "I got to say, I find out absolutely hilarious that you two are considered the best tag team in Mexico." So he's been paying attention to the booking too! God wants these two men to be tag team champions.

Konnan is out, to ignore the ban on not appearing unless you have a match. Jersey of the week is a Jordan brand Carmello jersey. Konnan is El Rey de Cheap Basketball Jersey. Konnan says Roldan can says the AAA guys, the Hell Brothers, everyone else after the Legion, but they're not going anywhere. CLIP. Roldan better start booking him again and stop being stupid. Konnan introduces HF2.

Match 4: Jack Evans & Teddy Hart vs Crazy Boy & Extreme Tiger
Palenque de la Feria, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 09/07/08

Winner: HF2
Match Time: 11:54
Other Match Notes: Konnan goes on to introduce the referee, the best referee in all of Mexico, Tirantes. Tirantes wearing black suspenders on a black shirt is really confusing me. Extreme Tiger is out by himself, but at least he has his belt. Crazy Boy is out next, which seems to confuse even announcers. Crazy is here replacing a no-showing Halloween, though that's not explained. You know, if they were thinking and had them handy, they probably should've replaced Jack or Teddy with one of Hermandad, so you have the complete tease of the four way.

HF2 jump the other team, which is at least easy enough to explain who's supposed to be rudo here. Tiger quickly turns it around by hiptossing Teddy to the floor, so never mind. Tiger has to slow it down to keep up with Jack, which is amusing. Teddy wrestled Crazy Boy early, and gets the crossface on just to make sure he does. It's very Teddy dominate and Crazy must've blown his first try at a comeback by the way it's edited. Crazy does a suplex, holds on to a gutbuster, and holds on for a hanging spinning DDT. Jack comes in to break it up, and that (plus a spin kick to set it up) is all Crazy gets in before the HF2 decide to go back 2 on 1 on him. Jack's spit water bit is apparently a weekly bit. Tiger tries to come into help, and Tirantes is helpful in taking care of that. Powerbomb/plancha combo on Crazy, but Jack PULLS HIM UP. Awww. Might as well wait for the comeback. Teddy gets in his straight jacket backcracker and some crotch chops. The idea seem to keep Tiger out like they did in the last tag match with Crazy, but they keep wandering out to attack Tiger, and Crazy's not Ricky Marvin. Shocking, I know. Crazy's comeback is really light, especially the boot that doesn't come close. But he gets to do a second rope rolling Stunner before they start clipping out his moves again. Actually, from the announcers, it sounds more like Extreme Tiger missed something. Jack escapes from a gory special into a 'rana again, Extreme Tiger puts him right back in, Jack escapes again, Extreme Tiger picks him up in a third time, and finally get the Gori Bomb. Jack goes out, Tiger set up for an Asai, and Teddy breaks that up for a dropkick. Crazy confronts him in the ring, and they don't seem to be on the same page a lot during their exchange. (Wisely, they go to chops.) Nikki rushes into break it up, Crazy grabs her, Nikki slaps Crazy Boy, Tirantes breaks that up, Nikki flirts with him, and Teddy forget to do anything illegal. He does 'rana, he goes back up, he hits his tornillo elbow drop, and he goes to over, but Tirantes is still flirting. Oh, no, he's going to hit Nikki again. That's a slightly more distasteful running bit then water thing. Anyway, that leads nowhere and I regret typing anything this point. Powerbomb backbreaker for Extreme Tiger, Tirantes is talking to Nikki again as Jack hits his 630 senton, and covers. Tirantes can't count, because Teddy decide to throw him down and tease punching his girlfriend again. Are we having a finish here? Oh, Teddy puts the crossface back on Crazy, but there's another log long crowd shot. Finally, the Mexican Powers music plays. WHAT HAPPENED?!!?

Konnan shows back up, sets up a chair, grabs Extreme Tiger, and gradually drops him on it for a sideslam. Konnan might have taken a bigger bump on that. Teddy's suplex onto the chair works better. Both guys get beat up. Konnan gives Crazy a pedigree, because it's a lot safer than lifting him up. Break.

They pick it back up with Tiger and Crazy recovering in the ring. Crazy wants a handshake. Tiger thinks about, thinks about it, gives it to him, and then clotheslines him. DUMB. Replays of Teddy and Jack's big moves. They pick up the finish five seconds earlier, but it seems like Tirantes belatedly DQed the rudos for Teddy shoving him down.

Vignette: Super Porky meets with Prez Roldan in his office to officially resign. He's got no family! He keeps losing! He doesn't want to wrestle anymore. Roldan points out he's got a lot of friends, is he sure he wants to do it? Porky says he can't go any more. Roldan relents, as long as Porky works thru Verano de Escandalo. Gotta work out your dates! Porky agrees, that'll be his final match. Wow, they really should've hyped this a bit more if this was going to be his final match. (Good thing it won't.)

Video Package: Vampiro, Mesias, and the Sect. Lots more Sect than in previous video packages.

Vignette: Ozz and Cuervo are getting ready. ANGRILY. Cuervo says something about Espiritu. Ozz says to wait to Verano de Escandalo, that's their moment.

Vignette: Elegido and Alan Stone promo. I like how Vampiro is putting these guys over by not appearing in these promos.

Match 5: Cuervo, Mesias, Ozz (c) vs Alan Stone, El Elegido (c), Vampiro
Palenque de la Feria, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 09/07/08

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 9:48
Other Match Notes: Elegido's entrance sis cut to his in-ring dance. There's so many camera switches, you'd think he was throwing punches. Sect are next out, so I guess it's the weird staggered entrances designed to emphasize everyone's level. Vamp's out after Mesias. Lots of fireworks today. I would've thought Vamp (who's got a buzzed hair cut) might have found a way to come thru the crowd - that actually would've worked pretty well with everyone else going in the other way. He does the camera bit instead, and then climbs into the crowd. Hijo de Tirantes is ref. Again, not the usual guys as captains.

Rudos rush the tecnicos. I like Mesias' punches here. Crowd loud for Vampiro, who gets beat without ever falling down. The other guys fall down plenty. Mesias follows him outside and chops him on the barricade. There's some kids sitting on the other side of the barricade, and they're totally freaked out. It's fun. And then they kill the buzz with crowd shots. Vamp is brought back in, and gets kicked to his knees, allowing them to stomp him. He takes a bump off a double boot, so I should be quiet now.  The stomping and such goes on for a while. Vamp start to shake to rally back, the Sect pounds on him, and Mesias tell them to back off so he can beat him alone. What a dork. Hijo de Tirantes decides to actually enforce the rules, since Mesias once it's one on one. Vamp reverses a corner whip and big boot and a clothesline. Alan and Cuervo are in and out quick, Alan landing his springboard plancha despite the little room. Ozz is able to handle Elegido again, slamming him to set up for a moonsault, but Elegido performs his best offense by moving out of his way. Thing is, Ozz is completely awesome, landing on his feet, and jumping into a standing moonsault. One two NO. Ozz pummels Elegido with a punch, and European uppercut, gets the swinging slam again, and get the perfectly clean 3 count. Ozz owns Elegido! Pirata Morgan needs to go to him for some tips.

Vampiro and Mesias brawl on the outside, hugging each other and throwing each other over the barricade. The fans are more amused the scared, and there's really no room to work without running over people. Mesias drags the fight to the stairway, which gives them more space, and they battle up the steps and thru a break.

The brawl continues after a break. Well, not totally - somewhere in here, security gets the hold of Vamp, and the Sects pulls Mesias to the back. Mesias is not thrilled with this., and has to be forced away. Replay - oh, Mesias snuck all the way back into the ring to fight. A million security guys and two members of the Sect break it up again.

Video Package: Chessman vs Cibernetico - with new promos. And then they end with Charly's music playing, which is the logical way to go.

Vignette: Parka tells Super Fly not be scared of Super Fly. Super Fly, of course, is scared anyway. Parka tries firing him up, which slightly works. SLIGHTLY.

Match 6: Chessman, Electro Shock, Kenzo Suzuki vs Cibernetico, La Parka Jr., Súper Fly
Palenque de la Feria, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 09/07/08

Winner: Tecnicos by DQ
Match Time: 10:23
Other Match Notes: Mini Kenzo has Kenzo Jr. with him. Air Force guys need a big entrance. Super Fly gives the Penas one of his masks. Kenzo is transfixed by Parka's dance. Feeling up Kenzo's nipple is good this week. They don't spend time building up Cibernetico's chant before he comes out. Yea, Chessman's the surprise. They did actually manage not to give it away all show, which is big for AAA. And he's last out. No one reacts to his music, which is supposed to be the point of doing the music. Legion are as confused about Chessman being out there as the tecnicos are, but ripping off the HBs shirt and stomping it is probably a bit illuminating. Hijo de Tirantes is your ref.

Match seems clipped to start, joining Parka/ Kenzo in progress. Super Fly can not even budge Electroshock on moves, and in fact falls down trying to deliver him. Because he's not in the rudos league, of course. Super Fly sneaks in a headscissors to send Electro out, then follows with his dive - but Electro catches him and tosses him on the barricade. Even his awesome dive is no use when he's facing 'top' guys. Kenzo and Lector stomp Super Fly until Parka runs them off with a chair. Finally, Chessman and Cibernetico. Chessman's partner still want nothing to to do with him, and push him away when it looks like me might tag out. CROWD SHOT CLIP. Cibernetico clothesline Chessman a lot. Playing to their strengths, I see. There's a chair laying in the ring, in the way really, appearing out of nowhere after the clips. It becomes a little more obvious why it's there when Chessman reverses a whip, and hits Cibernetico with a chair to the head on the rebound. Hijo de Tirantes tease the DQ, but of course he's not going to do it. Chessman get Parka with the chair and drops it after hitting him. Elector grabs it, looks at Chessman, and kills Super Fly with a chair shot to the head. Super Fly gets up (because Electro tells him to) and gets killed with another shot to the head. He's getting his hands up, but not in anyway which seems to actually protect him. Anyway, rudo beatdown, Electro destroying Super Fly again in particular and another long crowd show montage in here. Electro starts beating Super Fly with a crutch, then rips his mask and goes for blood again. Super Fly's Father, shown sitting in the crowd two dozen times previously in the match, jumps the barricade and covers him up. Super Fly's dad is just a guy, and he's more able to stand up to Electro than Super Fly is. In fact, he's ready to fight, but Elector and Kenzo just mock him and get in more shots on Super Fly. Chessman's setting up at able in the ring, incase you wonder if there' any other action going on. Super Fly gets carted off - for about bout three seconds, until electro knocks him off the stretcher and beats him up more. And more. And his Dad gets involved again. Super Fly is finally taken to the back. Inside the ring, Chessman has a table leaning in a corner and a bloody Cibernetico. The other rudos beat up Parka as Cibernetico rallies back. Chessman stops that with a foul, and spears Cibernetico into the table. More punches. Hijo de Tirantes tries to pull him off, Chessman shoves him down. The only thing you can get DQed for any more is shoving a referee down, so there it is.

Why couldn't Chessman just get the pin in the match before the big match? I guess the idea is the brutality shows how over the friendship is. Chessman just goes back to punching Cibernetico in the head lot, so Hijo de Tirantes DQ was really helpful. Tirantes pulls Chessman off by the hair, which gives up lots of crowd shots instead of anything following up on it. Prz. Rodlan comes out and is able to yell at Chessman enough to get him back off for a second, but Chessman still sneaks in to get more shots until he's dragged off by every free security guy they still have.

That's it.
