AAA - 09/27/08 (#852)
Recap: 10/05-06/08

Jesus Z and a mask seller says only AAA gear is selling. I don't why they said this. Hey, look, a big photo of Abismo Negro and Black Abyss. Andres makes a joke about Vampiro and Arturo, which Arturo fake laughs at.

Previous: Mini Charly kicked Sagrada a lot of times and won. They clip out the kickout, yay. Fabi beat up Cinthia, and Cinthia got a big cut on her head. HF2 beat the Mexican Powers, with some help. Only the finish is shown, so much for the match. AAA beat the Metrosexuals in a one in a million way, and then AAA beat the legion in the same one in the million way. Calling the main event Sim Piedad is probably a joke I'm supposed to note, so there you go. Glad to be of assistance.

Match 1: Mini Abismo Negro vs Atomic Boy in the AAA Minis Tournament
Arena Solidaridad, 08/31/08

Winner: Mini Abismo Negro
Match Time: 2:40
Notes: No entrances. Pepe Casas is ref. Handshake? Clean. Clipped up - highlight is hear Pepe Casas count the guys out, and then seeing Abismo in mid cover on Atomic Boy. Atomic Boy gets put in a leg bar, hold on, then hold out no longer. That was quick, both guys looked good for the 2 minutes we saw (excluding the forty seconds spend on crowd shots.)

Recap: of the nothing happening in the Billy/Fabi storyline. Really, it's just the on vignette from two weeks ago shown in between match highlights. Oh, they get the Moreno's complaints about too many Apaches, so they're surely not happy with this vignette either.

Match 2: Cinthia Moreno & La Diabólica vs Fabi Apache & Sexy Star
Arena Solidaridad, 08/31/08

Winner: Cinthia Moreno & La Diabolica
Match Time: 5:26
Notes: No entrances, though we do get to see Hijo de Tirantes showing off his hat.

Rudas jump the tecnicas. Someone need to tell Arturo that there's a mute button there for when you cough. Crowd shot clips. How much time are you really saving when these last twenty seconds? Diabolica tosses Sexi Star onto some women who so do not want to have her. Match just  becomes two on two randomly during a clip. Match feels unsmooth - they've had better. Fabi gets Cinthia a  tapatia, and Sexi gets Diabolica with an inside cradle for the pin.

Noti AAA
- Verano de Escandalo matches. Nothing new
- Elector's actions were excessive last week. Not excessive enough to get him DQed for excessive violence, but enough for them to highlight it apparently
- Vampiro/Mesias hype - updated video package with highlights form the last match
- Octagoncito, Mini Charly and Mini Abismo are the finalists.
- Pirata and Octagon still going to Europe.
- Pena show coming up

Vignette: Billy Boy talking on his phone for three minutes - exciting! Actually, the story is he's talking to a girl, but we don't know who, and if it was meant to be Fabi you'd think they'd make that clear. Maybe he and Sexi Star are friends again? Maybe he switched sisters to Mari? Who can say.

Match 3: Rio Bravo, Tiger Cota (c), Tito Santana II vs Billy Boy (c), el Ángel, Súper Fly
Arena Solidaridad, 08/31/08

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 5:16
Other Match Notes: This rudo trio gets entrances, how about that. Also, they put up barricades this time thru in this arena, though the fans are still really close. Rudos rush the tecnicos, but there's a break before the match gets going. Copetes is ref.

Big clip in between all the rudos fun triple teams, which is annoying. Of course, it picks up 30 seconds before the comeback. Same clip during Billy's offense, which is annoying. He crushes Tito Santana with a tope. Super Fly gets his dive on Tiger Cota. Angel gets Rio Bravo out and follows with a Asai Moonsault, taking them both on top of the barricade. Same series of crowd shots again. Back just in time for Super Fly to get Tiger Cota with a German Suplex, and that's the match.

promo: same Gato plugs the "cheer up Super Porky" address again

promo: Fuerza Aerea talk about themselves - Laredo Kid's due back soon - and the Legion. Super Fly wants revenge on Electroshock, but tonight, Aerostar is going to beat Jack in the rematch.

Rematch of what? Alas de Oro video package. This time, they find the angle that shows Aerostar missing! Oh, that's because we're getting Jack's post match promo again, with some bits that were apparently skipped the first time - "watch the tape, he didn't even hit me!" Jack's shoulder getting up is zoomed in on. Aerostar promos seems good, but it has to compete with Jack saying stuff like "he's going to wish he was in an Iraqi prison camps, getting waterboarded by Americans in black masks." CATCHPHRASE.

Match 4: Jack Evans vs Aerostar
Arena Solidaridad, 08/31/08

Winner: Aerostar
Match Time: 8:58 (2:43+6:15)
Other Match Notes: No entrances? Copetes is ref. Teddy Hart and Super Fly are seconds. Aerostar is the commandate of Fuerza Aerea? Dueling bilingual announcers.

Mat wrestling early, including Aerostar getting a inside cradle for a two count, which Jack is shocked by but the crowd doesn't care.  Crowd picks up for Jack's crazy bump to the floor off a dropkick, but Aerostar follows with only a dive fake and the match grounds back to silence. Crowd shots clips don't help. It's not even clear there is a clip, since they pick up with jack still outside the ring and getting counted out. And so ends the first 2:30 of the match.

Jack asks for a handshake. Aerostar thinks about, consults the crowd, thinks about, consults the crowd - you know, this isn't the match where you need to spend 0:40 on a handshake, but that's what's going on here. Aerostar accepts, Jack does nothing unethical - until Aerostar turns his back to celebrate and Jack forearms him. Don't turn your back on someone! Aero stomped in to the mat. Talking trash in between shots. Aero picked up, and rammed into the corner. Snap mare, Jack off the ropes, running kick to the chest. Aero may have broken a rib. Jack gets a bottle of water, picks up Aero star, whips him in the corner, climbs the ropes above him, and pours himself a drink. Some of the water actually gets in his mouth, but Jack remedies that by spitting it back down on Aerostar. That's quite unsanitary. Good thing Aerostar's eyes are covered there. Jack throws him out, and goes out himself. Axhandle to the shoulder, and Jack tells Super Fly to stay away. Aero into the apron. Jack takes Aero on a trip to the announce desk, lays him on top, and dumps the water down his throat! Hey, he did promise waterboarding. Announcers are displeased to have water dumped near all that electric equipment. Crowd shot clip. Aero rolled back in. Jack scoops, slams him, puts him on his stomach, and puts on a camel clutch. Jack lets go of one arm to help Aerostar wave for Mexico. Jack lets go and poses in the corner. This is the EXACT opposite of the match I thought were getting, though Jack strutting back over to Aerostar is funny. Scoop, slam, and standing moonsault senton. Jack is proud of himself. Replays, and Aerostar is put in the corner. Jack backs up, charges, handspring back press comes out empty, Aero move sand jack ends up throwing himself thru the middle ropes. Aerostar posts then charge - no hands tope! Jack went thru the barricade on that one. Super Fly waves his towel at Aerostar while Teddy hart check son Jack. Those two get into a shoving match but I guess they're going no further than staring at a each other. Replay of Aerostar trying to compress his neck. Jack and Aero back in, Jack misses a clothesline, Aero scoops him and dumps him beneath the corner. Aero climbs up, taking time to point, which is not a good idea. 450 splash misses, though it's not clear Jack even moved. Cut to a show of people in the crowd not caring. It's amazing, you can hear reactions, but they always cut to the people not actually interested in the match. Jack slams Aerostar and pounds the corner many times. Guess he's going up. Top rope, checking his watch, yelling at the crowd, 630 senton gets knees. Jack pops up staggered. Aero scoops him, slams him, goes up  - and gets tripped. And immediately they go to the crowd shot clip. Jack climbs up to join Aero - so again, doesn't seem like the crowd shot took anything out, except maybe a pause of everyone recovering - tires to top rope superplex him, but Aero fights him off. ROPE CANADIAN DESTROYER. One two Electroshock breaks it up. Props to Electro for actually getting there in plenty of time, unlike other people. He must've been running down as soon as Aero hit his move.

Anyway, Electro stomps Aerostar a couple times, then spots Super Fly and goes after him. Did he run into this match to save Jack from a pin (that Jack probably should've taken, especially if they were still planning on giving him and Teddy the tag belts at this point) or did he run out here to get Super Fly? He's killing Super Fly now, so I guess it doesn't matter. Lots of punches. Teddy Hart looks like he has no idea what's going on, but eventually decides he might as well beat up Aerostar. Electro powerbombs Super Fly and rips up his mask., while HF2 go after Aerostar's mask. Jack actually gets Aerostar's mask and poses with it ion. Electro punches and stomps Super Fly roughly a million times, and Super Fly gets zero in. That fluke pinfall sure did a lot for him. Oh, here's a plastic bucket to the head too.

Cheer Porky up e-mail address again

Vignette: Mesias is ranting about Vampiro to the Sect again. Ozz has had enough! No more ranting, they'll do their job but they're sick of being talked to like this. Escoria decides he'll go along with Ozz now that Ozz has said something. Mesias considers this, and responds with a hard slap to Ozz. Mesias grabs them both by the hair and makes clear that they do what he wants, when he wants, because he's in charge. Sect is ticked when he leaves.

Vignette: Divina and Elegido talk about the Sect.

Match 5: Escoria, Mesias, Ozz (c) vs El Elegido (c), Mascara Divina, Vampiro
Arena Solidaridad, 08/31/08

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 12:49
Other Match Notes: Why would Ozz be the Capitan? Why did they switch sides of the ring to shoot the match in between matches? Pepe Casas is ref. Beatdown, focused on Vamp, for almost exactly five minutes before they miss a corner whip to start the comeback. Normal showcases spots from there, including Elegido getting his trunks pulled leading up to Mesias/Vampiro. The crowd is hot for it, though quiet once they actually start fighting. Vampiro gets Mesias with a pump kick, a clothesline out, and follows with his pescado. That allows them to brawl into the crowd again while the other four set up dives in the ring - Divina tope (towards the tiny entrances), crowd shot clip, and Ozz tried hard to lead Elegido thru decent wrestling. Elegido seems worse than usual. Ozz gets get him clean with a swig side slam. Security pulls them apart.

Recap of Konnan and Prez. Roldan from the last show.

Promo: Silver King. He seems to be toning down the overt Wagner bits this week.

Promo: Electroshock laughs about killing Super Fly. Teddy Hart stand nearby. Zorro is slumped over in a chair, out in the background, leaving Electroshock to laugh about the Hell Brothers not getting along. Teddy: "Hellbrothers! You guys might be good friends with the devils, because, tonight, for the rest of your life, you're going to be dead. In the grave, and Hell will be your permanent home." And Zorro's supposed to be the crazy one! Zorro confuses Electro and Teddy for Joaquin Roldan and Pimpinela, though he can't even get a thought out completely. Electro's all weird out, but Teddy just ignored it.

Promo: Chessman & Cibernetico are friend right now, though Chessman doesn't seem to be buying into his speech. For Charly! Probably not a good sign that Chessman's going with an evil smile after Cibernetico leaves. Then again, Chessman always has an evil smile.

Match 6: Electro Shock, Teddy Hart, Zorro (c) vs Chessman, Cibernetico (c), Silver King
Arena Solidaridad, 08/31/08

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 9:47 (7:43+2:04)
Other Match Notes: Silver King is now using Smells Light Teen Spirit? HUH. Chessman grabs a water bottle from underneath the ring as he comes in - ahh, that's his red mist. Cibernetico barely make s it down the ramp alive. Hijo de Tirantes is ref. Arturo does the "mal mal mal mal mal mal" bit like eight times before the introductions even finish.

Match is played even four roughly 15 seconds before Zorro starts hitting everyone with his cane. Beatdown from there. Nikki again gets to beat up Chessman, though not as much as last time. Electro kills time with holds, while Teddy Hart does a completely pointless moonsault to the floor. Slightly different styles. Lots of questionably low kicks. Chessman lands on his feet off a monkey flip oat 7:090 to start the comeback. Superkick for Electroshock, Silver King eventually gets Teddy with a Dragon screw legs whip, and Zorro just kinda leaves (so Teddy has to come back over and take a Chessman clothesline.) Cibernetico completely bows a clothesline on Electro (of all things, that's left in) and then hits one on Zorro. Not the best of comebacks, and then they go the crowd shot clip again AND a break.

Zorro miss a cone shot on Cibernetico, and Cibernetico knocks him out of the ring. Chessman's left alone in the ring - well, not for long, there's Mesias's music, and Chessman appears to be the only one who hears it. Mesias throw a chair in the ring, then charges in. Clothesline misses, Cibernetico superkicks him. Thanks for coming, Mesias! Oh, Chessman's bring him back for more. Powerbomb? No, piledriver, no Mesias isn't going up for it. Cibernetico's in to break it up (!!!!) so Chessman spits red mist in his face. Who's turning here? I don't know. Chessman grabs Cibernetico and tries to kill him (no knife, think piledriver.) Silver King breaks it up, so he gets fouled. Hijo de Tirantes throws up his hands at this point. Slow easy spear on Cibernetico, but Mesias back up and dropkicking Chessman (must've been really bad when the camera switch they did.) Mesias backs up and spears Chessman, and still Chessman's up at about the same time. Esocria and Ozz are lurking at the entrance, but not doing any more. Chessman vivaciously recovers to knock Mesias out of the ring, then turns and starts stomping Cibernetico. I know this is supposed to be a rudo move, but Cibernetico's not in the right either - he picked Chessman's archenemy over Chessman, how is that supposed to be a good thing? Crowd screams as Chessman throws his shirt down on Cibernetico. Rudos back in the ring, and Chessman drops to the mat to get covers. Crowd boos. Rudos find it strange, but take a win where they can get one. One two three. I'm shocked we actually got a finish here.

As Zorro takes a bow (awesome), Chessman brings Mesias backs in to do what he going to do before. Legion isn't going to stop him from killing Mesias, but they're also not going to stop the Sect from finally making the save. Chessman can do that himself - spear for Ozz, toss for Escoria. Kick for Mesias, punches for Cibernetico. Silver King tries to help out, and Zorro's happy to cane him. Chessman chokes Cibernetico with his HBs shirt. and makes belt motions as the Legion loiters around ringside. Mesias and Cibernetico are left in the ring alone, and recover and face off, but they go replays instead of showing us that.

That's it.
