AAA Mini Line - 09/20/08 (#851)
Recap: 10/05/08
Last Week: Octagoncito advanced. Billy Boy and Gato won (Argenis is barely shown.) Who'd figure those two could work as a team. Ricky and Chessman could've beat HF2 if Hermanidad didn't run in plus the problems with Teddy/Nicole. Tecnicos beats up Legion.
Recap Video: Super Fly and Konnan's star making ability. Includes a clip of Rey Misterio and Eddie Guerrero from WWE they surely aren't allowed to use. Even as a video package, this goes on forever. Anyway, Legion and Air Force have issues, since they're wrestling latetonight.
Match 1: Mini Charly Manson vs Mascarita
Sagrada 2007 in the AAA Minis Tournament
Plaza de Toros, Tlahuelilpan, 08/17/08
Winner: Mini Charly Manson
Match Time: 4:52
Notes: Pepe Casas is ref. Crowd is split - you've got some cheering for
Charly, and some booing those cheers. They shake before the match. Building is
oddly lit - the ring in shadows, but the sun is still shining in thru the side
windows and the gaps between the cloth roof at the walls (except when a cloud
comes by) - there doesn't appear to be any lights on early. It also seems
smaller than usual, though they have the floor space for a six sided ring. They
quickly get to the clips - you'd think the guys who know about how much they
have by now, and work to that time. Guess not.
Charly works rudo, destroying Mascarita early on. Mascarita makes a sudden comeback, dropkicks Sagrada out on the second try, and gets him with an Asai Moonsault. Clipped to back in and Charly back in control. Sagrada makes a brief comeback, but Charly gets him with a belly to belly suplex, adds a middle rope splash, and covers. One two - Sagrada kicks out right at two, Pepe Casas is baffled, then counts again - three. That's going around, ain't in.
Recap: Konnan vs Roldan and all of AAA. This just turns into a lots of people yelling about various stuff - there's something with Zorro and Mesias doesn't fit with the story they seem to be saying, but that's nothing new with these. Hey, the mysterious guy on black that's never shown up again.
Vignette: Pirata's say if Billy had trouble with the Apaches, there's no chance he can take the Pirates.
Match 2: Barba Roja, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata
Morgan Jr. (c) vs Billy Boy (c), el Ángel, Gato Eveready
Plaza de Toros, Tlahuelilpan, 08/17/08
Winner: 12:50
Match Time: (2:58+9:52)
Notes: No entrances, just like the minis match. Hijo de Tirantes is
your ref.
Clipped to the Pirates beatdown, and then clipped (and a break) after the flying sit in the crowd sit. Naturally, tecnicos make their comeback after they return from break, though it does take a good 30 seconds. Angel goes after Baba Roja's mask for some reason, and it's the only action in a dead point right after the comeback they they could've clipped out of they were looking for something. Tecnicos show case - Gato looks good, as usual, Angel is okay. Billy's goes along fine until there's a obvious clip before a big spot. Gato start the dives with his Asai tornillo. Angel knocks out Hijo with a springboard back elbow an a dropkick, then follows with a tope. Barba Roja takes a backdrop to the floor (onto his feet!) and Billy knocks him down with a plancha. All six slowly make their way back in, tecnicos get run into each other, and Pirates do simultaneous standing moonsaults for covers. Two count. Billy gets tossed out backdropped out by Jr. The other Pirates watch, and get cradles by the other tecnicos - one two NO. Barba Roja hits Hijo when trying to get Angel, and then gets rammed into Junior. Barba Roja's mask goes flying (mostly because he pulled it off, but shhh) and his response is to - pull of Junior's mask? The crowd roars at the rudos as they reach down to pick up their masks. Camera was on the long shot, so you couldn't much see it (though Barba Roja's face was hard to miss). Tecnicos wait for them to get back up, then do stereo bodyscissors powerbombs. One two tecnicos lean backwards to help the rudos kickout. Angel's dropkicked out, so is Junior. Gato and Hijo battle, with Hijo knocking Gato out, then following with his slingshot tope con giro. Gato gets knocked down and doesn't catch much of it. More dives? Angel goes up, plancha onto Hijo. Billy and Barba Roja, Barba Roja superkicks Billy and goes to the apron. Middle rope springboard tope con giro onto the assembled pile. Junior sneaks back in and cradles Billy from behind, one two no. Pirata Morgan Jr. and Billy Boy evade each other until Pirata Jr. lands a diving elbow. Something else helps, because we can hear a count but they're showing us the crowd. It's a two. Pirata Jr. slams Billy, sets him up, and goes to the ropes. Moonsault comes up empty, Billy rolled out of the way. Billy says this is it, inverted Gory - no, Pirata Jr. sneaks free. Billy brushes aside his kick, kicks Junior again, and leads him up again. Inverted Gory Driver. One two three. Good that we got the escape in there for absolutely no reason.

Promo: Cinthia & Polvo, what a duo. Polvo still wants that hair match
Promo: Fabi & Pimpi - unlike the others, Fabi and Polvo actually chat instead of standing silently while the other one talks.
Match 3: Cinthia Moreno & Polvo de Esterllas vs Fabi Apache & Pimpinela Escarlata
Plaza de Toros, Tlahuelilpan, 08/17/08
Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 10:33
Other Match Notes: Piero is ref.
Tecnicos control early, and it's not long before the exotico and women are mixing it up. Tecnicos win both battles, Fabi headscissors Polvo out of the ring, Pimpinela eventually throwing Cinthia over the barricade on and onto the front row in her battle. It's not immediately evident, and never exactly clear because Cinthia disappears out of view as she goes over the barrier, but she apparently cracks her head on the edge of a char on the way over. It seems a pretty big cut, because that side of Cinthia's hair turns dark by the time we see her again, and she's suffering the rest of the way thru - this is about 3 minutes in of a ten minute match.
Polvo goes ahead and starts the beatdown despite being the only one of her team standing (it takes a while for Cinthia to recover enough just to get to the ring.) The big beatdown spot is dropkicks while the tecnicos are in the tree of woe, but the one on Pimpi is edited out and Fabi evades hers to start the comeback. Fabi uses her rolling cross armbreaker, which also grinds Cinthia's wound into the side of her leg. Polvo puts a headscissors on Fabi, Pimpi starts to put a reverse surfboard on Polvo. Piero breaks it up, so Piero takes the big kiss. Exoticos get dropkicked out, women alternate quick pins for two counts, then Fabi dropkicks Cinthia out and follows with an apron silla. Cinthia has trouble catching her and hurts her head again - she's done at that point. Inside, Polvo ends up with a chance for a middle rope spin kick but misses, Pimpi gets him with a missile dropkick and a bridging pin.
Cinthia looks in awful amount of pain, but at least she can get it worked on now
Vignette: Gato Eveready talks to someone off screen. I guess it's whoever Alebrije was talking to - Pimpinela?!? Anyway, Gato explains the whole storyline to Pimpinela as they cut away.
Vignette: Konnan talks to Teddy Hart and Jack Evans - Crazy and Ricky aren't even on their level. But before he gets to far, they wander upon Joaquin Roldan's SUV and Konnan has a plan...
Vignette: Ricky tells Crazy that whenever he's in Mexico, he's a part of the Mexican Powers. Crazy Boy is still upset about Joe Lider, but Ricky says Ultimo Gladidaor is good, and they can take anyone.
Match 4: Jack Evans & Teddy Hart vs Crazy Boy & Ricky Marvin
Plaza de Toros, Tlahuelilpan, 08/17/08
Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 11:45
Other Match Notes: They could at least get Ricky some Mexican Powers
gear - didn't it take like five seconds for them find some for Extreme Tiger
that one time? (Sure, it was someone else's.) Ricky Marvin is still putting on
his wrist tape when he's in the ring. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.
Significantly better match than last week - it had more of a flow instead of just killing time until they got into the spear to the floor spot (admittedly nothing as great here) and the finish. It worked worked as a hybrid of lucha and hot tag styles, with Marvin being isolated but worked over by both men, Jack and Teddy keeping him in and keeping Crazy out. The pop was still for Ricky making the comeback (setup botched, but the crowd went with it when Ricky started hitting his flashy kicks) and not for the tag to Crazy, but it worked. A decent amount of post comeback spots and near falls. Crazy and Ricky both hit moonsault side slams, Crazy with Jack to the floor, Ricky with Teddy to the ring. This week, instead of the run-in (no Hermandad, they're not booked), Nikky ran in to distract Hijo de Tirantes. Ricky got up, argued, blocked a kick from Nicole, and ended up enizguri-ing the ref. Nicole fouled Ricky, Teddy woke up to double underhook Canadian Destroyer Ricky, and Hijo de Tirantes counted the pin.
Video Package: brief Elegido/Pirata recap
promo: Decnnis, Brazo, Pirata - Pirata say they're professionals, unlike the dancers. Has he seen Decnnis lately? Apparently the Metrosexuals are real men. Decnnis says they're smarter too. Brazo says they're stronger. Everyone makes fun of Porky, and Brazo wants a hair match. Pirata want to keep on talking. Guapito says - nothing.
Match 5: Decnnis, El Brazo, Pirata Morgan (c) vs Aerostar, Alan Stone, El
Elegido (c)
Plaza de Toros, Tlahuelilpan, 08/17/08
Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 13:47
Other Match Notes: So did they get Aerostar and Porky confused? That
happens so often. Piero is ref. Brazo stops Pirata from attacking Elegido before
the match.
Match starts with Elegido's sequence seemingly wiped out. That's fine. Either that, or people are just tagging out to avoid each other and they've made it confusing with camera shots. Alan's sequence is good. Aero bounces around el Brazo, then bounces off Decnnis in tope, landing in the second row by himself. Replay shows Decnnis kinda tossed him, or at least pushed him to he wouldn't land on the barricade. Aero star is down for a long time, and Alan goes out to check on him, then frantically waves for help. Doctor takes forever to come out - Metrosexuals have tie to double suplex Alan away from Aero Star before the Doctor even gets don the aisle. Elegido gets his trunks pulled, check. Pirata hold Elegido as Alan gets worked over by the other two near by - some mask ripping, seemingly some plans reshuffling. Pirata takes Elegido out to the crowd, another part of the crowd to work him over, while Decnis and Guapito take care of Alan in the ring. Brazo stands over by Pirata but can't get over to help. Aerostar is finally out of the crowd, but they don't want him to get off the floor. Piero actually helps which Decnnis into running kick on Alan. Pirata' poses for pictures. Aero star is grabbing his lower back, which probably came down hard on a chair. Pirata continue his tour of ringside by bring over Elegido's bleeding/half unmasked face over the announce desk, and ranting to the announcers about Elegido being ballerina. Alan makes shot comeback, long enough to get his trunks pulled. Lots of crowd shots in the middle of the beatdown for no reason, and replay of Aero's dive. He's still at ringside, but looking dazed and unable to fully get to his feet. He does manage to pull himself into the ring, which makes me think he may not be so hurt. Brazo scoops Aerostar up, and Aero reverses into a small package one two THREE. Rudos are all WTH?!?!?
Killing spree time - rudos angrily beat up on the tecnicos. Aero gets thrown back into the crowd again. Decnnis and Guapito are livid with Brazo for losing. Pirata makes himself unhappy by going after Elegido's mask. Tecnicos get destroyed.
Vignette: Prez. Roldan is informed Konnan is up to something.
Vignette: The same guy who talked to Roldan must've been sent to get Konnan, but Konnan's not going.
Vignette: NO NO NO NO NO. Zorro's talking to a horse! Konnan wanders up, wondering why he's talking to a horse. It's not a horse, Zorro explains, it's Enrique Torres. Konnan, enraged at his out of control superstar (it's like he's on drugs or something), tries to talk some sense into him. Though, if Konnan's going to wear a Jordan Washington Wizards jersey, I'm not sure who's supposed to be the sane one.
Match 6: Electro Shock (c), Kenzo Suzuki, Zorro vs Cibernetico,
La Parka Jr. (c), Súper Fly
Plaza de Toros, Tlahuelilpan, 08/17/08
Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 7:40
Other Match Notes: Staggered entrances, so Super Fly can enter first and
Cibernetico can enter last. Kenzo is wearing his belt as a scarf. I dunno.
Electroshock rubs his heart, shows us "Sandy" written on his leather
jacket left arm, and has a big picture of Lady Apache on the back of his jacket.
Subtle! I guess this are going well again. Parka leans into the crowd to hug
people, and barely makes it out alive. La Parka feeling up Kenzo's chest is
apparently not allowed on Galavision, judging from that edit.
Electro's captain, which only makes sense if there's an angle going down. Pepe Casas is ref. Legion rushes the tecnicos. Much like the tag match, Super Fly is isolated and destroyed while the others are kept at bay. Electro hits Super Fly with chairs, once in the head, and as many as possible until the plastic chair falls apart. Super Fly's mask is destroyed and his face is a bloody mess. Zorro uses his cane on Super Fly low, and on the others to keep them out. Electro gets his hands bloody from punching Super Fly, and licks the blood off. Elector chucks Super Fly in the crowd, which gives him more chairs to use on Electro. This means the other guys get a chance to be beaten up. Electro takes the fight over the announcers, though doesn't sound too intelligible thru his mask. Elector takes Super Fly back in and beats him even more. Big powerbomb, with the others helping. Rudos pose, which allows Parka and Cibernetico to come in and attack. Clothesline for Elector, stunner for Zorro, flapjack for Kenzo. Parka and Cibernetico take their rivals to the outside, allowing Electro to continue to stomp Super Fly in head. Lots and lots of punches to the face. Powerbomb, no, Super Fly reverses it to a 'rana one two three. Wow, that would be quite a finish if they didn't just do it the exact same way in the last match.
The difference here is the tecnicos run off the rudos before they can get their revenge. But that's about it.
