AAA Mini Line - 07/12/08 (#841)
Recap: 07/16/08

Video Package: a shot from every TripleMania. And just a shot - just a microsecond glimpse, making it completely impossible to tell if it actually is a clip of that TripleMania, or just whatever footage happened to be handy. The only thing that gets time is the dedication to Antonio Pena before last year's TripleMania.

random band plays. I do prefer the dancing girls over this.

Vignette: Your weekly fix of brooding Super Fly! Octagon fires up the Air Force, and of course Super Fly needs extra talking too.

Match 1: Cuervo, Espiritu,  Ozz (c) vs Aerostar, Angel, Super Fly (c)
Palacio de los Deportes, 06/13/08

Winner: Sect
Match Time: 6:03
Notes: The Sect are all in different gear, which may be a sign. Escoria just there with the other four, dressed to go. Hey, new video for Fuerza Aerea - it just has it seems to just have Super Fly and Aero Star in it. HMMMMM. Crowd is dark. Your ref is Copetes, as the refs who don't normally work show up for the big shows, per usual. Alan Stone music starts to play for two seconds. Espiritu is announced as captain, so I guess he's in the match. Why is this 4 on 3? Super Fly is the other captain.

Announcers seem befuddled by the rudo numbers as well. Espiritu does drop down to the floor, so who knows. All three rudos try going after Angel, and we get the worst possible camera shots as the ring is eventually cleared out of all but Ozz and Super Fly. Ozz boots down Super Fly, so Super Fly kips up, and backflips for no particular reason. Ozz kicks him in the leg top stop that. Sect's ring gear does match, just not the coats they were wearing to the ring. Rights. Corner whip, Super Fly kips and backflips. Oz waves him into the ropes, Super Fly flips off Ozz's chest and sends him out via twisting headscissors. Handspring dive fake and pose. Crowd seems far away. Escoria - did he lose a hair match I'm forgetting? - drops Super Fly with a top rope tornillo plancha. Fly charges into the corner, Escoria ducks, and out goes Super Fly. Angel, who's lost the mouth of his mask again and looks more Mistico like a result, gets waistlock, runs up the ropes, and comes down with an armdrags. Escoria charges, Angel jumps over him, off the ropes, handspring back flip for fun, and a crowds hot throws me - boos, so something. Scoria is chest slapping Angel when they return, Angel whipped, but back with a spinning DDT. Cuervo in, Angel goes for a monkey flip but Cuervo kills him with a dropkick to the chest. Aero shadows Cuervo as he goes for a dive, and cuts him off with a 619. Springboard tornillo armdrags, corner charge, Aero boosted to the apron, Cuervo boosts himself to the apron to follow hi, Aero back elbow shim, then leans backwards over the corner to avoid a charge. Aero attempts to flip in, but Espiritu grabs the ropes to cause him to lose his balance, and the rudos put the stomps to him. Crowd gets on Espiritu for interfering. Super Fly bought in, double boot, though Cuervo falls down on it. Escoria and Ozz make a wish, and al l three snap kick Super Fly. Angel back in, and worked over. Double whip, waved by, waved by, double hiptoss left, and powerbombed onto Ozz's upraised feet. Big chop for Aero as he comes in, and big ad promoting a show in DF that happened last week. Corner whip, Cuervo running kneelift, Scoria running spinning heel kick, Aero stumbles out of the corner, Ozz fireman's carry drop kick. Aero is in a lot pain, but still finds a moment to let us know he doesn't give. Whip, Super Fly back with a handspring flip over  the double kick, and Aero Star gets Cuervo and Scoria with a springboard dropkick. Angel gets one on Ozz too, sending him out, and Super Fly knocks him down with his handspring moonsault dive. Cuervo charges Aero Star, and gets slid out. Angel goes quick to the corner, big plancha to the floor. Escoria knocked down Aero, then picks him up to chop him. Corner whip, Aero Star flips to the apron, Scoria flips out after him and kicks Aero as he's celebrating. Scoria rushed Aero towards the corner post, but Aero flips off the post to escape, and Scoria hits it before falling to the floor. Aero back in the ring, then flipping to the apron - Asai Cannonball! Escoria just got him. Super Fly n the apron for a dive, but Espiritu slows him down by grabbing a leg. Super Fly gets free, but that gave enough time for Ozz to charge him. Super Fly blocks his punch, punches him away, and comes in with a springboard headscissors. Super Fly ducks a clothesline (without even moving much, which tells you how close Ozz was - he's moving slow too.) Super Fly shoulderblock, Springboard plancha caught (barely, then readjusted and turned into a swinging side slam. Ozz with a crucifix near the ropes. Super Fly kicks at the ropes - seems to hit the middle rope once, then Espiritu pulls it far enough away so he can't get on them and break the cover - one two three.

Not nearly as much inference as I'd be led to believe. Espiritu comes in post match to get his arm raised.

Vignette: Super Calo and Zorro talk about how great a night it can be for Zorro and the Legion. Zorro wants to be sure he's not getting paid in dollars or pesos - he wants Euros!

Match 2: Black Abyss, Histeria, Psicosis (c) vs Alan Stone, Octagón (c), Super Porky
Palacio de los Deportes, 06/13/08

Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 6:08
Notes: Octagon has a white suit on over his gear. It does look better than usual. Looks like they did new videos for a lot of people. They're a big fan of black and white shots. Super Porky's normal music started to play, but cut into Rock Around the Clock so Super Porky could show us his Elvis moves. Porky might have gotten blown up on the walk to the ring, but he has a fun time his firework shooting guitar. Vipers video includes lots and lots of Mr. Niebla, hilarious. Poor video editing guy who'll have to fix that. The Vipers Red/Blue outfits look good. Jesus pauses before doing the Black Abyss introduction, as if he had to adlib. Pepe Casas is ref.

Super Porky is crying 10 seconds in. Porky fires up, gets chest slapped again, and is hurting. Histeria convinces his partners to let him take out Porky along, and manages to armdrag the guy twice his weight. In the process, Porky bumps Psicosis on the apron twice. Porky comedy spots from there, of course. All three Vipers are quickly knocked down in the corner, and Porky gets them with the walking corner sit. Vipers are out, but bail before Porky can do another. Alan comes in with a plancha on Abyss. He starts to roll off, Abyss pulls him back, Vipers try to elbow drop Alan, he moves and Black Abyss takes it. That's the way this is going. Director not into getting good shots of Alan's tecnico run, but that's what it is, Alan clears everyone out one by one and does the dive fake dance. Octagon in, but no one in to face him. Crowd shot. Octagon and Histeria with Octagon's usual, and Octagon's in even less than Porky. Crowd loud for Porky when he comes back into pose. Lots of crowd shots. Porky slapped and crying again. Octagon slaps Porky, and this fires Porky out. Odd how that works. Pork ends up taking a camera shaking backdrop and a triple dropkick to the beatdown. Alan next, and he's worked on uninterestingly, until they get to a triple powerbomb variation. Sound clip? Abyss add a top rope frog splash. Oriental in and kicked around. Announcers talking about Gringos Locos as Octagon makes a spinning backbreaker combo. Histeria stops him with a thrust kick, but runs into a backdrop to the floor. Octagon off the ropes, thru the ropes tope - he got caught on the ropes thru, but made it far enough. Inside, Psicosis and Alan Stone reverse a sunset flip until Black Abyss breaks it up. Vipers end up taking double slingshots armdrags. Alan gets Black Abyss with his springboard plancha, and Porky flattens Psicosis with his apron plancha, though we miss it. Back in the ring, Octagon finishes Histeria with his Escalera, and that's it.

Porky and Octagon say hi to the urn after the match. They never do find a replay of Porky's dive, which is kinda bad.

Match 3: Extreme Tiger, Halloween (c), TJ Xtreme vs Brian Danielson, Jack Evans, Teddy Hart (c) vs Crazy Boy, Ricky Marvin (c), Ultimo Gladiador
Palacio de los Deportes, 06/13/08

Winner: Mexican Powers
Match Time: 13:51
Other Match Notes: FdT have their belts. Halloween is wearing a prison jumpsuit. I think it's just safe to assume he was jailed and broke out between tapings. It seems quite possible. Brian Danielson is in fact Brian Danielson ("Tigre Americano!" Close. He totally should've brought the mask back.) What he possibly could have in common with these other two men, it's impossible to sell. Ricky Marvin has a "Still The Best" shirt on, but I don't believe it refers to his dancing ability. Gladiador is here as a sub for Juvi, who was booked in Spain and neglected to mention it. Tirantes Sr. is ref. This is elimination rules and it looks like we're getting 3 in the ring at a time. Teams start fighting while they're announcing captains, and the lights start to dim while they're fighting.

Tiger and Dragon jump Ricky Marvin to get this started. Camel clutch/dropkick combo goes wrong, and Danielson ends up kicking Tiger, then stomping on him for screwing up. Seems fair. (1) Marvin slaps Danielson in the back, Danielson kicks him, Ricky catches his boot and swings it into Tiger. Bryan and Ricky get lost for a second, and Tiger interjects to faceslam Danielson. Was he supposed to be here sooner? Ricky ducks under a Tigre clothesline, dropkicks Marvin on the apron. Tiger escapes a tilt-a-whirl, but still ends up taking a Marvin backbreaker. Danielson works over Marvin with mid kicks, Marvin catches on, Danielson tries to pull him into a triangle, Marvin escapes  goes for a crossface, Danielson escapes before it can get on, counters, counters, a few more counters. Marvin pauses Danielson with a kick, just in time for Tigre to get in a loopy spinning armdrags. Danielson gives Tiger a European Uppercut, whip, reversed, Tiger charges, Daniel flips him to the apron, Tiger kicks away Marvin, forearms away Danielson. Bryan charges, Tiger sidesteps, and Danielson slide dropkicks Marvin. Tiger sets himself - top rope Asai twisting moonsault onto both. Both Mexican Powers in with Evans, who kicks away Gladiador and flip kicks Crazy. Gladiador stops him with a big kick. Double whip, Jack front flips over a double clothesline, springboard moonsault back elbow! Evans is proud of himself. and waiting for someone to get up. Handstand cartwheel caught by Crazy Boy, directly into a shoulder rack. Crazy holds onto ram Jack into the corner while still up on Crazy's shoulders, and then tosses him off into Gladiador's knees. Crazy and UG have a flapjack/chest breaker combo. Teddy, surely mad someone beat him to his move, rushes into kick Crazy, and gives him a fallaway slam. Crazy clothesline is caught and, Teddy flips him on an back suplex. Teddy forearms Crazy Boy. Whip, reversed, Teddy with a bodyscissors, Crazy pulls him into a cristo, and UG kinda sorta adds the chest breaker. Halloween in - wondered what happened to the FdT - and UG's rana gets reversed into a powerbomb. Halloween wipes his hands clean of that mess, but runs into Crazy's fireman's carry, dropped into headcrusher. TJ Extreme in and missing a clothesline, but catching Crazy Boy on the next pass for a inverted side slam. Halloween slaps Crazy about the had and stomps him out of there. Ultimo Gladiador in, but immediately caught straight jacketed, and whipped into the corner a couple times. Halloween hangs UG on the ropes, and Tiger adds a top rope double stomp. This one's moving. Halloween poses, and gets jumped from behind by Danielson. The rest of FdT is after him, but Bryan ducks a double clothesline, catches a charging Tiger into a  backbreaker, and flips TJ Extreme with a kneelift. Halloween tries, ducks a high kick, and runs Danielson over with a spear. Jack in, and Jack immediately kicked. Jack spun up into a double Atlántida - and Tiger adds a neckbreaker for a triple snap. Teddy Hart in and kicked. Tiger grabs him in reverse facelock, and gives him a flipping stunner. Halloween chest slaps Teddy as he gives up, then tosses him off for a F5 - or maybe Jack escaped, since he didn't sell it at all. and it didn't look right. Halloween off the ropes, into a powerslam. One two th-no. Huh, a near fall. Halloween rolls out, Teddy stares at him, and Crazy and UG attack him from behind. They throw him out - Teddy taking a hysterical over the top rope bump in the process but still landing on his feet. Crazy and UG charge Tiger and TJ on the other side of the ring, but they manages to throw them both out. Teddy springboard in and levels Tiger with a spinning kick. Danielson stops TJ Extreme and calls Jack over. Double back suplex, double kick to the chest. (2) Legion scream at the crowd, run for dives, but the Mexican Pulls pull them out. Both Extremes in, and just as quickly out with tope con giros. Ricky Marvin setting up, running towards the corner - slipping on the way the ropes, and managing to turn into a safe plancha. Probably for the best. Inside the ring, Teddy tries to lift up Halloween, but Halloween blocks it and turns into a behind the back piledriver. One two NO. Halloween tries for a powerbomb, but Teddy breaks free, double knee backbreaker, one two three. Tirantes didn't need to slow count there, but oh well.

Legion all in and celebrating. (3) While we watch replays, the tecnicos storm the ring and get quickly beat. Announcers talking about Razor Ramon? Backbreaker/SSP combo on UG. Crazy Boy hung on the ropes for many kids. (4 - this is where Jesus tries to correct him.) Danielson adds a flying knee drop to Crazy Boy's head. Jack corkscrew standing corkscrew moonsault, one two Ricky pulls him off. Everyone takes turns forearming Marvin. Whip, Teddy misses a clothesline, Marvin superkicks Teddy. Marvin slips free of Teddy, off the ropes, spinning DDT on Jack while he dropkicks Teddy. UG pulled out Danielson during that sequence, and the MPs storm the ring to celebrate Marvin doing all the work for them. Jack takes a superkick for Marvin and Northern Lights suplex from Ultimo Gladiador. One two no. UG slams Jack, springboard legdrop one two Danielson makes the save. Marvin in to kick him. Corner whip, Marvin charges in, Teddy yells obscenities that probably should be bleeped on US TV but whatever, Danielson flips Marvin to the apron, Marvin connects on a swinging enziguri to stun him. Marvin springboard, but Bryan Danielson dropkicks him out of the air. (Yet another case of Danielson ripping off Sangre Azteca. shame!) Dragon Americano (5) with a German suplex, one two NO. Danielson is bleeding quite a bit from the right eye area - that must've been on Marvin's last superkick. Marvin's slips free of Danielson, off the ropes, sunset flip, Danielson sits down on top one two no Marvin reveres one two Danielson reveres one two Marvin recovers one two Danielson reveres one two NO. That was done slower, for whatever reason. Danielson ducks Marvin's clothesline, German Suplex, Marvin flips out this feet, superkick by Marvin, apparently light enough that Danielson can just immediately come back with a spinning forearm. Marvin European uppercuts him, Danielson off the ropes, running side kick, and both roll out. (7) Crazy and Teddy in, Crazy quickly getting a hanging spinning DT. One two NO. Crowd shot. Crazy gets backdropped to the apron, Teddy punches him there, pulls his head thru the ropes, and gives him a headscissors DDT. Odd. Teddy all the way up - 450 elbow drop one two UG makes the save. Bryan Daniels on on him with forearms. (8) Headbutt. Teddy in to help kick. This is the point where someone must've corrected Arturo off mic, because they all go quiet for a second, and then says "ohh, Bryan Danielson" unprompted and seems actually concerned about getting it wrong many (8!) times. Back in the ring, Ricky seems to start the comeback with a springboard armdrags, but Danielson just as quickly hiptosses him all the way out. Inside the ring, Teddy gives Ultimo Gladiador his double underhook Canadian Destroyer. UG flies out, and Danielson topes both Gladiador and Marvin. Clip, cutting out a few seconds to Teddy Hart's moonsault to the floor. Jack and Crazy in, Jack flipping his way out of a corner whip to the apron. Jack back in with a springboard double knee lift to the chest. One two no. Jack pulls Crazy to the corner and heads up. Crazy stops him and chest slaps him there. What now? Teddy Jack fights him back, and knocks him back off the ropes. Jack all the way up top. 630 senton "connects" - you don't want want the shot from behind on that move, for future reference. One two NO. Teddy can't believe it and confronts Tirantes, who shoves him away. Terry argues, but gets pulled away by Ultimo Gladiator. Jack works over UG with kicks, off the ropes, and Crazy flips him with a high kick. Double underhook, Jack slips free, Crazy ducks the spinning wheel kick, catches him, headcrusher, double underhook cradle piledriver. That's a illegal move, completely. One two THREE. That was roughly 100 times scarier than your normal tombstone, but whatever. Marvin and the Mexicools celebrate big time.

Replays shows Jack's head did take a bit of impact there. Hermandad Extrema's music is already playing when they come back from replay. If I was watching this in order with no lag, or details, I'd wonder if X-Fly was out of the group until now, since he hasn't been around for a while. Tecnico are easy picking, which Nicho more concerned about showing off his tan then actually helping the other two work off people. Nicho tries to rip off Crazy Boy's shirt, and he's not letting that happened even if he's supposed to be selling. Nicho ends up spray painting 187 on Crazy's tights instead. As more replays go, Ricky Marvin joins the announcers to promise to return.

Vignette: Billy Boy congratulates Gran Apache on turning his daughters into monsters fighting for their hairs. Gran Apache of course has a different view on who's fault this is, though he seems to consider Billy's point once he's away.

Match 4:  Mari Apache vs Fabi Apache in a hair match
Palacio de los Deportes, 06/13/08

Winner: Fabi Apache
Match Time: 11:49
Other Match Notes:  has her title. So they're spelling it "Mary" this week? Wish they'd decide. You can tell this videos were shot relatively soon, because Fabi has the Reina de Reinas title in hers. (Then again, they could've shot that months ago and known she was getting it.) Billy Boy and Gran Apache are second, of course. Fabi is in no hurry to get in the ring with Mari waiting for her. Hijo de Tirantes and (his top hat) is the ref here. You know it's a big match when Hijo de Tirantes breaks out the top hat. Fabi won't get in the ring, so sure she's getting attacked when she does.

And she's totally right - she steps in, Mari charges for a wheel kick, Fabi moves, and dropkicks Gran Apache out. Kick for Mari to set up a whip. Reversed, and Mari decks her. Big kick, Fabi staying up. Kick to the ad knocks Fabi down to a knee, and Mari ax kicks her all the way down. Crowd is quiet, but sound doesn't seem to be picked up constantly well. There's a big Fabi chant off in the distance, as Mari works her over with kicks to the head on the mat. Corner whip, Mari charges in, and Fabi gets up a boot. Fabi turning tornado DDT. Big dropkick sends Mari out. Fabi headed up, all the way up - top rope plancha on Mari and Gran Apache! Mari kicks Gran Apache away and grabs Mari in a headlock, and gives her a running tornado DDT on the floor. She's on fire. Billy consults with her - or did until Fabi rolls in and poses. Gran apache and Mari huddle on the outside and make sure she comes in on the farthest side from Fabi. Doesn't help, Mari still knocks her down with a kick. Fabi grabs Mari, Mari breaks free, kick, powerbomb, Fabi breaks free, under a clothesline and up the ropes. Mari reaches up to slap Fabi, Fabi kicks at the arm, Mari goes down clutching her hand, and, after a moment, Fabi falls to the mat clutching her knee. Odd moment. Hijo de Tirantes scoots Mari away to check on Fabi's knee. Billy's right there and concerned, but Fabi wants to crawl towards Mari to keep fighting. Mari more than happy to ax kick her. Corner whip, Fabi limping as she runs, second rope flying headscissors. Fabi with an arm scissors, into a short armscissors. Fabi rolls with it, but Mari refuses to give up. Fabi can't get the submission and lets go. Fabi off the ropes, still a slight limp, and more so when Gran Apache trips him up. Gran Apache begs innocent when Billy comes over there, and Hijo de Tirantes orders them to stay apart. Fabi up and kicking, but Mari's kicking right back.  Dueling high kicks to the head. Fabi ducks under one, bounces off the ropes, and kicks Mari down. One two NO. Replay of Gran Apache's trip. Back in the ring, Fabi reverses a charge into a half crab, but Mari's pretty easily moving towards the ropes. Gran Apaches tries pressing the ropes closer to Mari, which kicks off a slight skirmish with Billy. Fabi's really been dominating this fight so far, but she can't hold onto this half crab. Fabi picks up Mari. Knees, suplex - no, Mari blocks and backdrops out. Off the ropes, wheel kick hits, and maybe that'll turn it around. She seems fired up, but then grabs her back. Half crab can do a number. Fabi knees Mari around in the head. Kick to the back. Crowd shot, as the announcers react to something. Mari kicking Fabi in the head a lot in the corner. Mari bites her sister's forehead, yech. Fabi's bleeding - that's out of nowhere. Something must've happened during that crowd shot that I forget. Mari stretches Fabi around the ropes. Meanwhile, Gran Apache tries to untie the middle buckle nearby. Hijo de Tirantes stares at Apache committing the illegal act, but says nothing until Billy knocks Gran Apache away. Hijo de Tirantes decides to fix the turnbuckle instead of paying attention to either fight. Luckily, they pause on their own, giving Billy a chance to check on Fabi. While Hijo de Tirantes ties one turnbuckle, Mari finds another one to untie. Replay - of something we didn't see! Gran Apache hit Fabi with some object, which caused her to get busted open. I guess they must've censored that with the clip. Which doesn't make much sense is showing it in a slow motion replay, but so is the way of things. Mari gets a middle buckle pad off, uncovering the steel, while Billy hurries to - tape Fabi's knee up? I guess she must've really hurt that. You think he would've worried more about the blood, but that's also the way of things. Mari back with yet another kick to the head. Whip - no, Fabi collapses because she's so hurt. Here's another replay of Gran Apache hitting Fabi (did they legit miss the shot the first time? that's a more hilarious story) and this time it's clear it's a can of soda of all things. Just like Fabi, the can gets busted open and sprays cola all over the camera. Well, Fabi's not spraying bloody, thankfully. Mari tries that whip again, Fabi stops short of the exposed buckle, Mari charges, and Fabi drop toe holds her right into it. Cut to shot of random woman looking vacant. (Horrible cut.) Mari's hurting, Fabi's hurting. Gran Apache appeals for a timeout, and Hijo de Tirantes considers it before consulting the crowd. Crowd nothing on that idea. Mari bleeds a bunch, Fabi bleeding a bunch, both slow to get up - and then Fabi's all the sudden going triple speed, running kick to Mari's head, DDT, one two NO. Crowd thought that was three. Double underhook faceslam, one two NO - Mari has the ropes, Fabi hooks the arm and tries again, one two Gran Apache slides  in to block the third count. Fabi protest that can't possibly be legal, while Hijo de Tirantes thinks about actually ejecting Gran Apache. One more DDT for Mari, and Fabi's headed up. Fabi corner quebrada, no one home. Mari kicks Fabi in the head (shocking!) and drags Fabi toward a corner. What she's up to? Mari up to the middle - no, the top rope. Senton con giro connects! Mari slow to cover, one two Billy pulls Hijo de Tirantes from making the third count, then runs before he can figure who did it was. Hijo de Tirantes teases a DQ, check. Mari up, Fabi still on the mat. Mari picks up Fabi, Fabi slips out to a backslide, one two NO. Fabi can't believe. Fabi off the ropes, scooped up in an Atlántida, Fabi out with an inside cradle one two NO. Maybe that spot would get a reaction if it had worked one of the last four times. Fabi off the ropes - no, Gran Apache grabs her by her hair. Mari rushes for a kick, Fabi moves, and Gran Apache takes it. Both women go for kicks and knock each other down. Billy in, Billy out with a tope for Gran Apache, which the cameras totally miss. So does Hijo de Tirantes, but at least TV gets a replay - Billy hit his knee on the middle rope on the way threw and mostly missed. He's up first, rooting for Fabi. Mari up first, straight (bloody) fist to Fabi's face, and a spinning back first in right on. One two NO. Mari waiting for Fabi to get up, charging, and right into Fabi's exploder. One two NO. Fabi Dragon suplex one two three. That's it, huh. Crowd reacts loud, but sounds as distant as they have all match.

Billy and Fabi celebrate while Gran Apache checks on his other daughter. Mari started bleeding alter, but appears to have bled a lot more. Break. Slow motion shot of that girl again to cover another clip. In the ring, Gran Apache tries to convince Mari to let him give up his hair instead of Mari. Hijo de Tirantes interjects that Mari must give up here hair, because That's what the commission says. Gran Apache argues with the barber, demanding his hair instead, and blocking him from getting to Mari. Gran Apache gets the razor and hurriedly starts to cut his own hair. The barber eventually goes with it and Gran Apache's hair goes, such as it it. Mari gets the microphone, and says she promised to give up her hair, and so she's going to take the haircut. Mari takes the razor and starts shaving herself. She's so incredibly bloody, they could at least get her a towel. Fabi's had a chance to clean up some and stopped bleeding sooner. Fabi seems upset about this whole thing, and ends up hugging her sister as she's getting her hair cut. Gran Apache joins the hug, and they all hug and cry a little bit together. Billy Boy - Billy watches form a distance and seems a bit cold. Gran Apache does make sure he's hugging his daughters in away where Billy couldn't' join the hug if wanted - he's cutting off Billy with a hug, he's that good.

Vignette: just arriving in a limo are the Guapos. They just so happen to run into Super Porky, and congratulate him on his performance. Porky is surprised, but thrilled. They've got a surprise for him - El Brazo, who's with the Brazos. And then they all turn on Porky and stomp him down. Lots of kicks, as Brazo screams at him. Porky's busted open (which doesn't take much.) Brazo screams about Guapos VIP, they get in a few more stomps, and that's it. So they got dressed up and came all the way to TripleMania just to beat up Porky for a minute. Brazo yells to the camera about Porky some more, as the limo slowly backs out of the scene. Porky gets up and lurches off. They didn't really need to show him getting up.

Proxima Semana: international trios - Vamp/Mesias. Mexico vs the World.

Vignette: Cibernetico and Joaquin Roldan talk backstage. Is Roldan sure he wants to be a second? Roldan says Cibernetico has nothing to worry about, and it'll be Cibernetico's night.

Match 5: Zorro vs Cibernetico for AAA World Heavyweight Championship
Palacio de los Deportes, 06/13/08

Winner: Cibernetico
Match Time: 9:29
Other Match Notes: Crowd already chanting for Cibernetico before the first entrance. Konnan gets his own entrance. Zorro has many fireworks. Roldan gets his own entrance too, to the AAA music. He has the mega title. Chant kicks up for Cibernetico before he enters. He rises from the floor dressed as Iron Man for no particular reason. I would have thought the Hulk was more his style. Cibernetico's music just stop at one point, and so doe she has he waits to take off his armor gear before coming to the ring. This takes a while. We've got time, I guess. Cibernetico takes the title from Roldan and brings it to the ring. Tirantes Senior is the ref. Break. Title break presentation. They don't seem to have anyone in the ring reprinting the commission, they they do have the two sides arguing before we can get started. Hijo de Tirantes and Konnan have a long discussion while the wrestlers talk. Cibernetico rips a necklace off Zorro.

Handshake? Not much. Zorro slides for Cibernetico's legs, but Cibernetico keeps moving. Crowds shots. Battle for control, Cibernetico going ending up with Zorro down and waistlock on. Cibernetico up to his feet, double wristlock, Zorro breaks free and tries to use both arms to out power Cibernetico's one. That doesn't work, but Zorro's cane shot to the knee does. How is that legal? Tirantes will allow it. Oh, no, he'll just take the cane away. Cibernetico charges Zorro, moves, off the ropes, under a clothesline, under a back elbow, under a kick, into a clothesline. If you're 1 for 4, the 1 still works. Zorro puling himself up by the ropes, Cibernetico comes over, Zorro pokes him in the eyes. Zorro with punches. Off the ropes, running forearm knocks Cibernetico down. Zorro stares at Cibernetico as he tires to get up. Big chop. Turnbuckle smash. Zorro taking his time between moves. Kick. Zorro yells at the crowd. Zorro takes him down by a leg, and puts on a ankle twist. He were go again. Zorro pulls him in the middle of the ring, and keep it on for a while. Zorro steps over, and gets kicked away as a result. Cibernetico tries to get up, and Zorro rushes to knock him down with an axhandle. Choke on the ropes., allowing Konnan to get in shots . Roldan complains to Tirantes, not that it helps. Whip, hooking clothesline. Zorro taunts Roldan before getting back to work on Zorro. Suplex? No,, blocked. Zorro tries again, blocked, Cibernetico starts to reverse it, and Zorro re-reveres it a small package one two no. Zorro is proud of himself. Lots and lots of crowd shots. Into the corner, massaging his face. Whip, sleeper. Cibernetico tosses him off quick and screams. Punch is blocked, Zorro back with more punches. Zorro poses and hits a jumping heel kick. Zorro poses while Cibernetico recovers near the ropes. No hurry. Whip, back to the sleeper. This is marginally better than the last match. Not saying much. All the way down to the math, and then up again. Cibernetico back elbows free, off the ropes, into a Zorro dropkick. Cibernetico doesn't fall down, so Zorro adds another. Zorro charges Cibernetico, and gets tossed out to the floor. Is Cibernetico going going to dive? No, of course not. Zorro gets up on the apron, and Cibernetico gives him a rolling Stunner. That may be the new most pointless roll ever. Cibernetico pulls Zorro in the middle of the ring and sits on top for a pin one two Konnan comes in and breaks it up. Not a DQ, no. Konan puts the boots to Cibernetico. Tirantes shoves him away and backs him away. Konnan actually laves, but just to distract Tirantes into a Konnan superkick. Konan right back in and working over Cibernetico. Roldan's a lot of help here. Konnan takes off his shirt to reveal a referee shirt - apparently that's all you need to be a referee. Roldan in and arguing with him. Zorro sneaks behind, and Roldan looks at him and tells him not to do it. Legion circle around Roldan. Zorro distract Roldan, Roldan starts to walk towards him, and you can see him slightly slip right before Konnan shoves him in the back. That causes Roldan to a very hard bump inro the middle turnbuckle. He's bleeding immediately - he checks his hand to see it. Meanwhile, Cibernetico reverses a whip into a double clothesline on both tecnicos. Replay of Roldan's hard hit, from multiple angles. We miss no action during the replays, to no surprise. Cibernetico whips Zorro, reversed, Cibernetico back into a Zorro kick, and Konnan adds a kick of his own. Zorro gets the cane and lands his flurry. Roldan is bleeding a lot, plenty of drops of blood on the mat. Zorro slowly starts to put on his STF - and he gets it on, sorta. It's not on too well, and it doesn't last. Roldan staggers to his feet, uses the cane to pull himself up, and uses the cane to break up the hold before collapsing again. Konnan ends up standing over him, and I think that's the first he learns of Roldan's nose damage. Konnan pulls Roldan up to shi feet for a shot, but Cibernetico grabs his fist and pulls him into a Stunner. Roldan waves to the back for something as Cibernetico chokeslams Zorro. Cibernetico covers, but we have no ref. Hijo de Tirantes run in from the back, one two three.

Roldan immediately calls the doctor over to get check out, but waves him off when h knocks the run in is coming. Legion guys hit the ring - X-Pac Happened To Be In Town, Jack Evans (holding his ribs), Bobby Lashley, Teddy Hart, Bryan Danielson somewhere in here, and Someone who looks kinda like Daviari, but I dunno? Odd no Kenzo or Electro. Roldan is helped to the back - they want him there for the closing shot, but he can barely stand. Cibernetico helps him stand for the arm raise so the fireworks can go off. Garbage is thrown in at the Legion. Break.

Konnan yells at the crowd as we see the same crowd shots again. Konan's speech is cut short, and quick to Zorro speech. An odd way to end the show. Zorro gets pelted with garbage going to the back and soaks it in. So does the camera. So does the Legion. That'll teach Danielson for wearing nice clothes. Be more like Teddy Hart and walk around with your shirt off for no reason. Replays. Tons of time to fill here, if you can't tell. Can't wait till next week. Music video and we're out.
