Previous: Apaches didn't get along. FdT won the trios tag. Legion won the main event and beat up Roldan.

Recap: Mari/Fabi recap, setting up their hair match at TripleMania.

Match 1: Ayako Hamada, Mari Apache, Yuriko vs Estrellita, Fabi Apache, Gato Eveready
Poliforum Zamna de Merida, 06/01/08

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 6:55
Notes: Gato, while not the normal exotico compliment to Yuriko, is very intense about his cat crawling this week. Mari jumps Fabi waking to the ring. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.

Beatdown before the whistle and for the first 1:30, then Fabi reverses a toss into a double dropkick on those who aren't her sister. Ring is weirdly lit. They're in doors, but have windows high near the roof, and the sun is at a perfect angle to very brightly illuminate the whole ring. There's a glow effect. One on ones after the comeback. Ayako looks off versus Estrellita. Gato does his cat crawl again and Yuriko smartly legdrops him. Yuriko knows the key to being a good exotico is yelling loudly whenever possible. Gato is more about escaping then attacking in this bit. Women bough bring in Yuriko after she's thrown herself out of the ring, and work him over two on one. They put her in a double tapatia, Ayako and Mari come in to reverse it to a triple tapatia on the tecnicas, Gato crawls in between all five and covers all the rudos for two. Women get momentary holds before the men break it up and kick them out to continue. Yuriko wristlock Gato and walks the ropes for a rope flip armdrag, then spins Gato and gets in a kiss. Gato comes back with an armdrags into a double armbar cradle. Two count. Gato dropkicks Yuriko out (who hits the middle rope hard on the way thru) and then follows with a slingshot tornillo that's very low angle. Estrellita and Ayako pick up in the ring, Estrellita quickly sending her rival u out with an armdrags, and following with a top rope tornillo of her own. This leaves the Apaches, and Fabi dropkicks Mari down for a two count. Crowd very into it. Fabi gets her double underhook faceslam one two NO. Fabi can't believe it's two, and is probably in trouble now. Fabi off the ropes, Mari hammers her with a clothesline, Michinoku Driver one two three. That last sequence felt like it was being aired in fast forward, and I don't mean it as hyperbole.

Hijo de Tirantes immediately signals for help from the back, so I guess the Michinoku Driver is lethal again this week. Fabi's strecher-ed out without incident.

Vignette: Didn't we see this Gran Apache/Billy Boy confrontation weeks ago? I've lost all concepts of time by cramming these in, but this is definitely a rerun. Billy's asking if they can just all get along somehow, and Gran Apache is all "no, not with YOU."

Match 2: Gran Apache vs Billy Boy
Poliforum Zamna de Merida, 06/01/08

Winner: Gran Apache
Match Time: 9:52
Notes: The blue/white version of Billy's great doesn't look as bad, but I'm biased to this color. I just don't like the upraised foam button looking things. Mari is out with Gran Apache, and both have chairs. That's why Fabi being stretched out was a big deal - Billy has no way to counter Mari here. For some reason we don't see, Gran Apache drops his chair and rushes into the ring. I guess Billy must've been charging him for a dive, because he ends up sliding out just as Gran Apache slides in. Billy hops back on the apron, but Gran Apache dropkicks him out, rushes to the top rope, and flattens him with a plancha. Hey, blow the whistle! Piero is your ref.

Gran Apache bring Billy in. I need him to look up so I can be sure he' snot somehow bleeding already. You know it's coming. Gran Apache swats Billy on top of his head. Apache picks Billy up - crucifix powerbomb already? No, 'rana counter already, one two NO. Apache up first and kicking Billy in the head before yelling at the crowd. Billy up, Apache kicks him down and yells at him. That'll learn him. Head to the buckle. Corner whip, Apache rages in, but Billy gets a up a leg, then follows up with a dropkick. The sun is moving, of course, and now the right sixth of the ring is covered in shadow while the rest is in super bright sunlight. This would be completely normal if this was a baseball game in Chicago, not so much for an AAA show. Billy taunts Gran Apache up, and they have a chest slap fight. Gran Apache is clearly winning, so Billy ducks and kicks Apache in his leg. Apache sells it big. Chop by Billy. Whip, reversed, Mari trips up Billy from the outside and Gran Apache dropkicks him down. Gran Apache yells at the crowd for complaining. Billy head to the buckle. Gran Apache directs Mari to untie a corner buckle. This is becoming a pattern for Gran Apache. Sure hope it doesn't come back haunt him later. Crowd shot as Apache works over Billy. Apache is handed a chair, and hits Billy right in the head. Crowd shot, as Gran Apache leads a chant for one more. Replay - right in the head. I would say the sun has set on 1/4th the ring now. Apache hammers Billy's head - ah, he's bleeding. Took about 3 minutes, who won the pool?. Gran Apache holds Billy over the bottom rope so Mari can get in her kicks form outside. Gran Apache bites the wound. Billy fires up and chops Apache, but he kicks him down. Mari comes in to help,. Bill's face is totally red, and he's not embarrassed. Billy set up on the top rope for something, but Mari breaks away to deal with Fabi Apache, out with her own chair. Fabi ducks Mari's clothesline and gives her a chair shot in the back. Billy shoves Gran Apache so he's leaning thru the ropes, and Fabi gives him a chair shot too. Fabi in and checking on Billy, while Apache recovers. Fabi helping Billy up, but Gran Apache getting up at the same time. Gran Apache swings for Billy, Billy ducks, Fabi does not! Gran Apache can not quite believe he did that. Billy gives Gran Apache an angry superkick, but he's too tired to do much more. Chest slap, rest, punch, rest, running kick. Billy tries to get the crowd going. Corner whip, reversed, Billy goes back first into the exposed turnbuckle, but it doesn't seem any big. Gran Apache charges, but Billy knocks him down. Slingshot? Slingshot into the steel! Gran Apache is slumped in the corner, and Piero checks on him. Mari's up and with a chair - swing and Billy, Billy ducks, Piero takes it in the back. Dropkick for Mari, and Fabi adds a running tornado DDT. Gran Apache turns around, and Billy gives him a revenge chair shot. Fabi off the ropes - and Billy stops her. I guess Billy wants to do this dive instead? Billy's tope actually goes completely over Mari, so maybe he should've just let Fabi do take care of it. (Mari charitable sells it.) In the ring, Fabi stands around while Gran Apache stirs (though bleeding). Piero is still down. Can Gran Apache see thru the blood? He chest slaps Fabi, then grabs the chair - and hits her in the head! Crowd goes silent, then boos. I don't know if Gran Apache knows what's going on. He very bloody. Replay - eh, looks like he had to see what he was doing that time, but he still seems to be groggy. Billy back in, and both men looking weak form blood loss. Gran Apache charges, Billy grabs him in a Northern Lights suplex. Fabi's now on the outside and bleeding a lot from the forehead. Not pretty. (Mari's the only smart one in the family - she took the chair shot on the back.) Billy sunset flip one two no. The ringside doctor is checking on Fabi. I don't know if Billy is supposed to know what happened to her yet. Billy grabs a waistlock, Gran Apache foul heel kicks him - Piero's obviously up, since he's been counting the pinfalls, but he's at the wrong angle to spot that - then gets that crucifix powerbomb. One two three.

Mari comes into congratulate Gran Apache. Clip? Fabi's in the ring, and Mari yells at her before stomping her into the mat. Gran Apache tries to pull Mari back, but she breaks loose to attack Fabi more. Gran Apache tries again, and Mari shows her down. Gran Apache finally wrestles her away and tells her to wait for later. Mari's not so confined, but Gran Apache manages to hold her back.

Recap: Joe Lider's turn on the Mexican Powers and the formation of the Hermandad.

Match 3: Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario, X-Fly vs Crazy Boy, Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Gladiador
Poliforum Zamna de Merida, 06/01/08

Winner: Hermandad
Match Time: 15:32
Other Match Notes:
This week, Nicho not only has his money, but has some wacky energy drink he and Nicho spill over each over. Did they change the music? Too bad, I liked the old music. It might be the old music played over a bad sound system. Nicho and Lider dance like lunatics on the way to the ring, and Nicho finds another wall to paint 187 on. Juvi has his NWE belt. Ring is totally in shade now. Lider shoves Crazy down from behind before the match starts, but a fight does not break out. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.

Rudos want handshakes before the match. MPs attack them instead. Rudos ends up in control of the fight. Move setup move setup move setup. Juvi reverses a corner whip (Into a chair, so it's EXTREME) to start the comeback after 5 minutes. Mexican Powers are more than willing to give their opponents chair shots Hijo de Tirantes isn't even bothering to tease DQs. Chairs are just legal this month. Move setup move setup move rudos tease walking out. While Juvi has showcase versus the rudos, Crazy Boy randomly finds and puts on a DTU t-shirt. Was he told he couldn't wear it to the ring or something? He's got a t-shirt over his t-shirt over his gear, so weird. I find, if I watch this in fast forward, it ends a lot quicker. Crazy misses the chairsault, and Lider lands the chair double stomp for the win.

Promo: Charly may be hurt, Cibernetico may be hurt, but that's not going to stop him from setting Mesias ablaze tonight.

Match 4: Extreme Tiger & Halloween vs Jack Evans & Teddy Hart
Poliforum Zamna de Merida, 06/01/08

Winner: Hart Foundation II
Match Time: 10:13 (1:51+8:22)
Other Match Notes:  Jack yells "Mexican Powers [snap]", so I'm thinking he's got no idea who he's facing, but then he yells at Halloween. So I guess he just forget who was in which group. Arturo calls Jack "My Brother Forever!" What a weird friendship. FdT have their belts, and lightbulb tubes. I really thought that was why Crazy was putting on another shirt, but I guess not. Hey, the light's back! Amazing how that happens. Almost like we're airing out of order. Looks like they clipped out Halloween's introduction yet again. If he didn't have the tag belts, I'd be sure no one liked him. Piero is ref.

FdT end up getting the best of the foreigners for a moment, tossing Teddy into the front row and celebrating it. And then Jack flattens them both with a handspring twisting moonsault! Teddy decides it's time to climb the light standard again, and this time does a moonsault off it (after a clip.) It's a better than when Extreme Tiger did it, though he kinda over shoots his mark. Lots of replays, and then an odd break.

Match picks up with one on ones. These seems to be more even than usual, but then there's no tecnicos here. Jack looks great with repeated SSPs, and Tiger gets in a big Torture Rack slam to end the sequence. Teddy comes in, leading to Halloween and Teddy, who aren't as good. Halloween has a bad crossface. After another not so good spot, Teddy get a fujiwara armbar only for Tiger to rush in and kick him in the head. FdT take over with 2 on 1s from there. Check off the giant swing/dropkick to head spot, double armbar spot, and then the Hart Foundation is just as suddenly back in control so they can get in their signature bits. Side backbreaker/SSP combo, Teddy's double knee backbreaker, this is very much as you'd except. Jack gets tossed up at Halloween, who spears him out of the air but only get a two count. Extreme Tiger takes Jack outside, sits him in two chairs, goes back to the ring, and 80% misses him on a top rope tope con giro. I think you have to deduct points when you tell someone where to stand, they stand there and you still mostly miss them. Teddy and Halloween wait around for a few seconds before starting to do stuff. Halloween gets another two count on his spear. Halloween and Teddy seem unsure of each other. Teddy ends up getting Halloween with a Michinoku Driver and heads up, and we get the same crowd shot again. Top roeps450 legdrop (I think misses), Halloween gets up behind Teddy, Tiger charges both of them, Teddy ducks, and Halloween takes a light bulb tube to the head. That was really dumb by Extreme Tiger. Teddy gives Tiger a cradle DDT, and he rolls out. Teddy moves Halloween around a bit, looks around, poses on the apron, climbs up, one more shooting star press one two three.

Hey, they beat the champs.

Video Package: Vampiro vs Mesias some how ends up turning into hype about the match with Chessman tonight.

Match 5: Mesias vs Chessman
Poliforum Zamna de Merida, 06/01/08

Winner: Mesias
Match Time: 9:04
Other Match Notes:  Ozz still has his Undertaker hat. Chessman has no backup, which probably won't work well. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.

Mesias rushes Chessman and stomps him down. Mesias celebrates and draws Tirantes over while Ozz gets a couple shots from the outside. Mesias back to punching. Whip, Mesias puts his head down too soon, and Chessman kicks it, Chessman backs up, and superkicks Mesias while he's at it. Mesias rolls out, Chessman rushes - tope! This is already better than the last half dozen non-Apache singles matches. Ozz checks on Mesias while Chessman pulls out a ladder from underneath the ring and leans against the apron. Mesias over and punching him. Head into the ladder, and Chessman's thrown inside. Mesias crawls in after, and Chessman punches him once before Mesias dropkicks him back up. Mesias knocks him down with a pescado. Not so much graceful, but it worked. Mesias gets a Puerto Rico flag from the crowd, and has Ozz wave it around and taunt Chessman with it. Chessman thrown in, and so is the ladder. Mesias is in second again, and Chessman again gets him with punches as he comes in. Chessman off the ropes, but not much more - Mesias wildly throws the ladder at him, legs first. Hijo de Tirantes seems very concerned Chessman took that badly. Clip, actually subtle for once. Mesias hammers Chessman's sternum with the ladder. Head into the ladder again. Mesias poses while Chessman starts to bleed, I think. No, not yet. Mesias puts Chessman thru the ropes for Ozz to work over with more punches. Mesias comes back to crank Chessman around the ropes. Hijo de Tirantes backs him off, which just means Ozz gets in more punches. Crowd reacting loudly to this. Hijo de Tirantes warns Ozz as Mesias hammers Chessman with kicks to the head from the apron. Mesias tosses Chessman to the floor, and Ozz gets in more kicks as Mesias and Hijo de Tirantes argue. Now Chessman is bleeding, though again it's red blood on red face paint. Crowd behind Chessman even though he's been killed for minutes. Hijo de Tirantes manages to distract himself  with nothing at all as both Ozz and Mesias work over Chessman at the same time. Chessman back in. Corner whip towards the ladder, Chessman puts on the brakes in time, Mesias charges, and Chessman backdrops him into the ladder. (Banderas lands leg first, and hurting. ) Ladder's pretty well bent, and so is Mesias. Chessman drops him on top of the ladder, drops an elbow on him, and move the ladder over more. He's going up? Uh oh. Moonsault on the ladder, Mesias moves in time and Chessman takes all of it. Mesias up and looking okay. Mesias celebrating being Mesias for a bit here. Mesias grabs the ladder. turns towards Chessman, and gets speared, dropping the ladder. Ozz in, but Chessman spots him, superkicks him, and spears him too. Chessman gets the ladder as Tirantes clears Ozz out of the ring, but sets it in the corner. Meanwhile, Mesias is doing a poor job of hiding the flash paper he's about to use - did Ozz throw it to him when he came in? Chessman turns around to check on Mesias, who's standing there but not ready, so he just jabs Chessman to keep him busy. A moment more, and there's the fireball. Tirantes as buy with Ozz and missed the showed, but is back for the pinfall. One two three.

Mesias celebrates, but music starts to play that's not his music. Oh, that's Vampiro's music, and he's coming in thru the crowd. Could've used use about five minutes ago. He sneaks in behind Mesias, who hear the reaction but has no idea until he backs into Vamp. Mesias punches, Vamp blocks and chops him three times. Whip, big boot is caught, and Mesias shoves him over with a clothesline. Mesias stomps Vamp, but he seems okay. Knee to the back, and Mesias' going out of the ring for something. Ah, a table. Vamp's still down, for some reason, while Mesias takes his time bringing the table and setting it up. (Mesias does stomp Vamp once, but eh - this is the big hero?) Vamp magically stands up just as Mesias has the table up, and boots him. Maybe he was playing possium? Powerbomb? Yea, Mesias takes it thru the table to end this bit.

Next Week: TripleMania! Including hype for matches which won't actually air next week. It's almost as if they didn't plan this.

Video Package: Zorro/Cibernetico

Match 6: Kenzo Suzuki, Konnan, Zorro vs Alan Stone, Cibernetico, La Parka Jr.
Poliforum Zamna de Merida, 06/01/08

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 9:29
Other Match Notes: Konnan has that ripped Parka mask with him everywhere. Ah, he also has Roldan's glasses. Maybe he can take Alan's cowboy hat next. Or Cibernetico's  knee brace. Konnan's so distracted by Parks' dancing, Parka just grabs the mask back from him! Parka has it before Konnan even knows what just happened, and then Parka's more than willing to taunt him about it until Konnan grabs  it back. Cibernetico has his belt. Piero is the ref.

Lots of rudos trying to evade fighting their rival early. After a couple teases, they finally get back to the Zorro/Alan start they started with, Alan starts to dance, and the Legion all jump the tecnicos. A lot for a little. Comeback after about vie, Parka ducking a double clothesline in a slow spot. Alan planchas Zorro and Konnan and is caught and tossed, but Cibernetico clotheslines them both to start the brawling. One on ones tart, but Konnan trips up Parka form outside, and the rudos are suddenly back to a beatdown again. Alan takes a two man curb stomp, Kenzo adding the dancing knee drop. One two three. Randomly, this is not a single pinfall match. Double suplex for Parka, and Kenzo pins him. Cibernetico in, Zorro takes him down and puts on his STF for the submission, the rudos adding kicks to the head.

Prez Roldan is out, looking completely fine despite being killed lat week. Mutant healing powers? He slides a chair into the ring, but leaves it on the mat while confronting all the rudos. He promises a big surprise, though the rudos aren't scared. Roldan keeps talking to Konnan, while the tecnicos make a mini comeback on the other two. Talking talking talking. Tecnicos end up clearing out the non Konnan rudos behind his back, and I guess that's the surprise. Zorro and Kenzo are totally treated like goons here, and the big spot is Roldan giving Cibernetico the chair to kills Konnan with one to the head. Tecnicos stomp him down. Kenzo tries to make the save and is worked over. Roldan even gets in some stomps on Konnan. This is an odd way to build to the big show - Roldan got his revenge before the show, why should we care about it?

Replays and we're out.
