Amapola, Mascara/Sombra/Dorada keep their titles, AAA/NOAH, lineups

Karis La Monito/CMLL

CMLL (FRI) 10/29 Arena Mexico [CMLL]
1) Metálico & SenseiApolo Estrada Jr. & Zayco
2) Loco Max, Nitro, SkándaloÁngel Azteca Jr., Pegasso, Rey Cometa
3) Euforia, Pólvora, VirusÁngel de Oro, Delta, Diamante
4) AmapolaTiffany [CMLL WOMEN]
5) Máximo, Místico, Super Porky, Valiente DQ Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Negro Casas, Último Guerrero
6) La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara DoradaEl Alebrije, Olímpico, Psicosis [CMLL TRIOS]

Clean wins for the champions in both matches. Psicosis lost to Mascara’s campana in the third fall of the main event, while Amapola beat Tiffany with the backcracker. The first couple of falls of the women’s title match had a bit controversey, causing Mima Shimoda & Estrellita (Amapola & Tiffany’s seconds) to get thrown out.

Mascara was solicting for names for his team on Ras de Lona. I guess they’re not a dream team.

Bad night for injuries. Pegasso did an Asai Moonsault into an armdrag and landed in the hospital. He hurt his right knee on the landing. Angel de Oro hurt a toe on a moonsault to the floor. Both injuries basically gave the rudos the win.

Dragon Rojo fouled Mistico for the DQ in the semimain. Metalico replaced Astro Boy.

Now that she’s no longer teaming with the Invasors, Ras de Lona had an interview with Marcela explaining why she was teaming with the Invasors. Timely! Also, Atlantis played foosball and they had a 10 second skit with Mistico, Monito, Perico and Cuije promoting the Halloween shows.

AAA in NOAH
10/30: KENTA & Atsushi Aoki b Jack Evans & Extreme Tiger [semfinal, KENTA Got 2 Sleep Jack]
Jack & Tiger won the “Techinque Prize”! Really.

CMLL in NJPW
10/30: Yuji Nagata, Wataru Inoue b Manabu Nakanishi & Strong Man [Nagata backdrop hold Strong Man]
Strong Man’s team is stuck at 2 points, but so is every team in their block.
Toru Yano & No Limit b Hiroshi Tanahashi, Terrible, Texano [Yano on Terrible via Akikiri]

Lineups

IWRG (SUN) 10/31 Arena Naucalpan
1) Centurión vs Epidemia

This resembles the previous listed card for IWRG in that they were both lucha libre shows featuring luchadors. Otherwise, not much the same. Main event is a twenty man match, where the eliminated grab straps and become lumberjacks. Amusing for the Arlequins to return the show before the Castle of Terror.

CMLL (FRI) 11/05 Arena Mexico
1) Metálico & Trueno vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Astral, Bam Bam, Eléctrico vs Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
3) Ángel de Oro vs Euforia [lightning]
4) Metro, Stuka Jr., Valiente vs Vangelis, Felino, Misterioso II
5) Averno, Máscara Dorada, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero, Shocker vs Charly Manson, Héctor Garza, Mr. Águila, Olímpico, Psicosis
6) La Máscara, La Sombra, Místico vs Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero

CMLL vs Invasors cibernetico. Wonder if they’re setting up some new version of that. Invasors desperately need a win, or a new reason to exist.

Main event is focused on the Dragon Rojo/Mistico thing.

Tuesday’s Arena Mexico show has been moved to Arena Coliseo. Maybe because it’s an earlier start time? Maybe because they’re just random?

The lineup for 11/07 AAA says the Apaches opponents are Oyuki & Kaguya. Whoever they might be.

  1. 52MX has
Guerrero Maya Jr., Leono, Molotov b Bronco, Camorra, Inquisidor
Fuego & Stuka Jr. b Delta & Diamante [Arena Coliseo TAG]

HOORAY. First time Camorra has made one of the Guerreros del Ring shows.

  2. So I guess we can tell how much CMLL is going to cut up these matches since they showed most of the spots in the previews.

And Single ladies really? When I think Super Porky, I don’t think Single ladies.

  3. CMLL only airing top two b/c World Series countdown is at 1:15 already.

Hey look – it’s Astro Boy playing Mistico! (I hate the Box y Lucha board sometimes)

  4. Never thought I’d hear a ‘Psicosis’ chant in Arena Mexico. He deserves it, he’s been amazing in his run so far.

    Nice finish to first fall.

  5. Second week in a row they’ve embarassingly botched a spot in this match. This time Sombra/Alebrije.

  6. You would think the way the Invaders are congratulating the champs and shaking their hands would mean the feud is over.

Of course we all know CMLL lazy booking is building to a cage match in Decemeber.

  7. Hype for “proxima semana” included Mascarita Dorada and Sangre Azteca.

Continue with your conspiracy theory re: Sangre, cubsfan!

  8. @thecubsfan: Guess the trick to getting booked on a show is to be the mystery wrestler of the week!

Speaking of which – they didn’t do it this week. The mystery wrestler they teased last week was Diamante. Maybe they’ll carry it over again to next week.

  9. Local GDL has top 3 as usual. Not watching.

C3 just started. Trying to record but for the past two weeks I’ve somehow managed to fail. The new VLC confuses me.

    No opener.

  10. GDL was pretty fun. The opener had some nice dives by the tecnicos during the third caida. I wanna see a Gallo/Felino hair vs mask match. I also liked the main event. Maximo is fun to watch in GDL and Rey Bucanero couldn’t even keep a straight face during most of the match. As for the tag match, Sangre Azteca did about 20 dropkicks to the groin.

Oh and Cubs, you’ll be thrilled to know they aired the Oro match where he died on GDL. I guess you are right about that being the only Oro match they have.

  11. I think that Poder Mexica should not die and Bronco should be part of it.
That Ke Monito photo is lovely :)

  12. ACM has DTU!
Kaientai, famed luchawiki editor Lord Byron, Xtreme Dragon b Aeroboy, Dance Boy, Violento Jack

Not sure if they’ll show the main too.

    Crowd seems up.

  13. Yep only one match and it was awful. Dance Boy didn’t even dance. But I gotta say, DTU probably drew more people in ACM since the last time AAA ran a tv taping there.

  14. I’m always wary of how many people at DTU shows are actually paying customers. I’m figuring most are just their friends/family who get in for free.
