R de Rudo: “failed to attract the expected audience” – I am shocked. I’m guessing 50 people based on the pictures.

Halloween, Bestia, X-Fly and Mysterious Large Man all ran in to help Damian foul Val Venis for the win. Scott Sommers won his tournament match, presumably via energy blast from his eyes. So he gets to come back at some point.

The sixth match (they had eight matches on this show!) was listed for an IWL Continental Championship, but I don’t see a belt in the picture. Last thing X-Fly needs is another belt.

Angel de la Noche lost his mask some time recently.

Ovaciones says Rayo de Jalisco is off of tonight’s card, replaced by Super Porky. (SuperLuchas has a preview of the show, focusing on Rayo vs Atlantis. Awww.) 2 weeks out from the anniversary show, we’re watching tonight to see if more people get added to the cage match, and if they’ll set up a Sombra/Lyger rematch for next week.

Fuego en el Ring has an interview with Mistico. It doesn’t reach the peak level of uncontrolled Mistico interviews where he’s completely burying whatever the company is doing (“I am a person who sometimes talks too much, says the painful truth…I do not care if I get punished for speaking the truth”), but he does says he plans on getting out of that cage match ASAP because he has zero interest in winning a mask that way. The people want to see direct duels for mask and so does he. Mistico says there are 14 stars in the cage match and CMLL wants to surprise the fans, but the fans are bothered by not getting a direct rivalry. Mistico calls Volador a knock off version of him who dresses the same, and tells him to get ready with the Hijos de Avernos because he’s going to form a new Super Sky Team (Mascara Dorada, La Mascara and Sombra are suggested.)

Other recent Fuego interviews: Angel de Oro was not happy winning the DF/GDL cibernetico via Angel del Mal’s interference and Felino explains Mr. Niebla was never hurt but was instead traveling the world on vacation (and isn’t sold on Bucanero joining Peste Negra.)

A set of TV notes I forgot to mention on Wednesday

• If you’re DVRing, keep an eye on what the Teleformula show is called. They changed it from Lucha Mania to CMLL Luchas last week, and have flipped it back to the old name this week. Only reason I was able to record it was because I’ve got something to record everything with CMLL in the name.
• AAA in the US is the first 90 minute episode in a while.  (Also, Did FdT vs 187 air this week after all?)
• This past week’s Lucha Libre USA episode is up.

AAA points to a Diario Basta interview with the Psycho Circus, who say they’re up to 709 wins, and wants Octagon & Parka’s masks and Mesias’ hair.

Tropicasas will be inducted into the Mexico City Plaza de la Estrellas.

Luchas 2000 posts the trailer of the second Viva La Lucha PPV; I forgot it’s already airing next Friday.

Kcidis draws Despicable Tirantes.
