CMLL Guadalajara Teleforumla #1 (06/26/2010)

Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 05/04/2010

I wanted to set an over/under for how many more episodes would air, but I kept wanting to take the under. If this is one episode and done, I would not be surprised. It’s more a reflection of Teleformula’s programming quality and consistency than the CMLL show, but the CMLL show was also produced as if it was a pilot episode to shop around to a few networks. Who knows if they actually taped more. (CMLL haven’t even mentioned the existence of this show yet.)

Super Porky & Asesino Negro

Gallo, Metal Blanco, Palacio Negro vs Exterminador, Malefico, Mr. Trueno: Even if we get nothing else, we got Palacio Negro being insane. I’d be surprised if they planned it this way, but this was actually a strong show as an introduction. This was a nice showcase for the local tecnicos they wanted to get over, and the main event was a storyline in progress (interest level in storyline may vary.)

Gallo really should be used as the local hero who stays here forever. He’d have a much more memorable/enjoyable career than he probably would in Mexico City.

La Máscara vs Averno: kinda worthless, probably still would be in if they aired the third floor. Exactly the match you’d expect these guys to have, but at a very basic/mailed in level.

Brazo de Plata, Máximo, Toscano vs Asesino Negro, Terrible, Texano: They tried!

  1. Has anyone heard anything about Puebla losing television? I don’t think the last few weeks have been airing, but I’d have to guess it’s due to the World Cup.

  2. They haven’t been on because of the World Cup. TVC has games and has been showing lots of replays. Perros say they’ll be on next week so Puebla should be too.

  3. L M A O @ the gif

“They tried”? C’mon! Porky/Asesino = MOTY! Old fat guys who can’t move and get blown up from their ring introductions = what wrestling really is all about! You must be young and skinny.

  4. That gif clearly shows a new move were it goes from a belly-to-belly suplex into a chokeslam. Its called “la manita de porky”.

See from a botch spot, I just created a finishing move for indy wrestlers.

  5. You can say all you want about Porky but a lot more people will pay money to watch him, than any skinny indy wrestler.
