Got busy today when I typically work on this.
Ovaciones has the usual Arena Aficion (Pachuca) preview. The Volador/Misterioso/Mascara trio is nicknamed the Air Force, but the writer reminds us that last Misteroso and Mascara were in a main event here, they were on opposite sites of the ring as part of the Wagner/Atlantis feud.
The other article is an interview with Atlantis, previewing tonight’s Coliseo show and his win on Friday in the Leyenda de Plata. I’m just assuming he’s winning the whole tournament at that this point. Do you realize this means he’s going over Mistico this Friday (which would be his only second singles loss in Arena Mexico, if I’m recalling correct – probably not clean, but still, would you’ve bet on Atlantis doing it?), and Santo next Friday (no point in Santo winning). That’s heck of a lot of makeup for not winning Wagner’s mask.
Monday, Ultimo Guerrero, Olimpico and Mephisto signed autographs outside of Arena Mexico, in a charity deal for the Mexican victims of Hurricanes Wilma and Stan. Not I usually hear much about hurricanes which don’t hit the US, but there’s been so many of them this year, I don’t think I knew there even was a Hurricane Stan till this article.
Box Y Lucha has archived Mascara Sagrada chat on their site – watch out for the immediate sound. From what I read, there’s not too much you don’t know. He’s happy for Mascarita Sagrada making it in WWE (though it sure seems like it was only a one week thing.)
Super Lucha cover. Lovely blood. Didn’t realize they changed forums.
Rey, Tarzan and Olimpico are the scheduled video chatters this Thursday.
Watched the highlights from Friday. It’s Averno who’s stretchered out, due to Santo. Does look like Safari under the mask. It’s a weird way to debut anyone, and if his old partners Atlantis and Olimpico can turn heel without changing their gimmicks, I don’t know why Safari needs a new one.
I also remembered I taped Accion; highlights were of Santo/Casas (nothing you don’t see from the videos) and a clip of Vampiro/Zorro vs Shocker/Charly (I guess Shocker’s working lone wolf), with Hator running into to help his LLL partner and Shocker hitting Zorro with a chair when he maybe (and it’s a reach) wanted to get Charly or Hator.

So what was the format for the first half of the Santo torneo? Was it a Cibernetico or not?
Yep, a Torneo Cibernetico.
