2009 AAA TV Chart
Projected Air Date (#916)
Mexico:  12/13
US: 12/26 – new AAA TV did air this weekend, so this remains on schedule.

Last show before Guerra de Titanes, but none of this will air until after the show takes place. This time around, there were no real storyline twists, just build towards the already announced match. This is the last AAA show at Arena Coliseo Monterrey this year, and the third to last taping.

AAA’s recap notes the crowd was totally behind Wagner in the main event. They paired Ultimo Gladiador with Latin Lover, and that did not go well for Ultimo Gladiador. Latin pinned him for the win.

Semimain was the challengers beating the champions clean before the title match. Makes sense.

Tercera was kinda of a preview of the AAA/Legion match for the next title shot (though Kenzo & Elegido are sitting htat one off.) Rain & Jennifer Blake accompanied Alex to ringside, and Elegido ended up kissing them. That’s his move. Kenzo snuck in a foul on Elegido for the win.

Mixed tag title match turned into a brawl, continuing past the finish. Sexi fouled Aero, then both teams fought to the back and then in the back.

Nothing on the opener but Charly having his title belt. For now!

Next taping is Guerra de Titanes on Friday. Still unsure about doing live results here.

  1. Additional result from RFC:

    LUCHA INICIAL
ANGEL DORADO JR STREETH BOY Y HOMBRE SIN MIEDO DERROTAN A SOBREDOSIS SIMBOLO Y BLACK MAMBA

  2. Ah man no Purpura or Babe Rap. Rob you seen that match from Saturday yet? I think Aerostar/Pupura/Rap are a better team than Laredo/Superfly/Aerostar.

  3. @CM93

It was actually better than a generic taping because Latin Lover was on the card and it was at Arena Colliseo Monterrey.

In the past when they had events there you would see the AAA logo displayed on the entrance but not anymore. As a matter of fact your rarely see it displayed anymore. What the fuck does Konnan have against the AAA logo?? He’s changed the company into something else and he doesn’t like displaying the logo. That just tells me that Konnan is purposely trying to Kill AAA.

  4. @Tim: I only saw the clips RFC posted on youtube, not the full match. I can totally imagine a team with Purpura being better than a team with Super Fly at this point. Super Fly is as lazy as 2007 Purpura was.

  5. TNA and WWE are both insane for not giving Jindrak another chance in the US. He really is the “Total Package” of the new millenium.

I can see Hart and Evans doing more ROH.

AAA on Galavision/US had a little over 20 minutes of advertising per hour. Five minute commercial breaks are long. This has to be part of the reason why ratings are dropping. The shitty editing can’t help. Konnan is great at the mic, and explaining the angles, so I have no problem with his presence. He’s not the problem.

  6. Hey real Daniel, this show drew 3/4 of the building according to multiple sources. That’d be roughly 3500 of 5000 available seats.

LATIN LOVER in MONTERREY did not sell out.

    Your thoughts?

(Wow I just noticed Wagner was there too. YIKES…)

  7. @LLL
The drop in ratings have nothing to do with commercials. Yeah the long commercials are annoying but if the show deliveres what people’s want to see, they won’t stop watching becaue of long commercials.

On the other hand when a guy like Konnan shoots his mouth off for 20 minutes saying stupid things that nobody cares for, and when 80% of the show revolves around him in some way, that just might have a lot to do with a ratings drop. Konnan is not great on the mic. Any moron can pick up a mic and talk all day, but it takes skill to say stuff that will captivate and audience, and Konnan DOES NOT have that skill.

    @Rob
Until you provide me with these “multiple sources” to prove what you’re saying then you can FUCK OFF with your jelous Latin hating. You’re also the guy who said that Latin no showed an event, when the poster did not even have his picture or name, nor was he advetised. Your “source” was a “fan who knows the promoter.” Doesnt’ sound like you have good sources Rob.

  8. My source is the pictures which are easy enough to find as well as the video that will air this coming weekend you gay shitstain.

  9. @Rob

I saw the pictures too on the ACM website and I didn’t see any empty sections or anything like that, you’re making stuff up Robby. Not very nice.

  10. @Rob

Well sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-it! I copied and pastet the URL but it just lead to the index. That’s messed up.

    Try this
    <>

Photo album created with Web Album Generator

  11. @Rob
Well fuck that didn’t work either…OK go back to the photo album on page 3 and click on the last picture at the top, that’s the one I’m talking about.

  12. @Rob

actually it’s not. For a guy who keeps calling me gay you sure knew exactly where to find a picture of men in a position that looks sexual.

When you call me gay are you really reflecting on yourself Robby?

  13. @Daniel: No, not at all. When I call you gay I’m refering to the fact you have some sort of obsession with a well known openly homosexual wrestler. One must draw their own conclusions…

  14. Latin Lover is not openly homosexual, he’s married to a woman and has kids you stupid fucking nerd. He does Lap dances for WOMEN. That looks pretty damm heterosexual to me.

You’re the guy who once said he’s rather see Rey Mysterio as an exotico that to stay in the WWE. Exoticos are gay, and you’de rather see Rey like that than in the WWE. I’ve never made comments like that, but you have, so don’t be calling me gay becaue of my favorite wrestler. Think before you say stuff and maybe you won’t look so stupid.

  15. @Daniel: What’s your source about him having kids and being married to a woman? Show me. I WANT SOURCES! Not newspaper or magazine articles. I want a handwritten document from Latin Lover himself claiming such. No photos either unless you are taking them yourself b/c they could be doctored!

Your theory that exoticos are gay and Latin Lover is straight b/c only straight men would give women lapdances is amusing though. Please keep sharing so we can all keep laughing.

And please don’t call me stupid. I know how to copy and paste.

  16. @Rob

furthermore, you call Latin Lover gay, but he can get more women in one hour than you can get in your whole life. And for that matter so can I.

  17. @Daniel: That’s not true. I prefer the penis. Elegido keeps refusing my advances.:( Hold me, Daniel… hold me tight…

  18. post #27 was Rob revealing his true feelings. He just perferred to do it under and assumed name.

  19. Daniel.

First of all, ACM is clearly not sold out. “People leaving”? That’s a good one. There’s no one behind the ring entrance. I know for a fact that fixed ringside seating is 1,400. Upstairs general admission is not a fixed capacity, but it looks to me like only 3,000 in the venue.

Second of all, the long commercial breaks are not good for ratings. I’m sure both AAA and CMLL would like more time like WWE has. Most viewers are casual, and might find something else to watch.

Third. Konnan is a great promo. In fact, he should be voted in WON’s best interview category. He’s better than so many guys in the business.

If Konnan has so much power, why are those annoying cross-dressers on television every week? I think Konnan’s imports have been good for AAA. Did anyone think Teddy Hart would survive down there for more than two years?

  20. You think Sugi San and Rain/Jennifer Blake have been good for AAA? And what’s wrong with Pimpi? He’s better than 95% of the roster.

  21. @Tim: I don’t think every single promoter/booker is right all the time on talent decisions. For the most part, AAA has a solid base of workers. Hart and Evans are good. Koslov and Corleone would be considered jumps from CMLL.

Pimpi is great, but he’s getting too much television time lately. I remember when AAA was not afraid to use local talent for television. It was fun. Pena would do that stuff. Like Bobby Lee on tv from Leon. Hator, Aventurero, and Antifaz in ACM. Pena even used a local team from MTY, whose name I forget, but they did a norteno band gimmick. Nothing spectacular, but it was something different.

Also, Wagner is turning into a terrible promo lately.

  22. @LLL

If most of the fans are casual viewres than you’re helping me prove my point. If people will only watch casually then the show is not very captivating.

You think Konnan should win best interview of the year and that he’s better than most in the busniness??? Are you joking or are you just saying that to argue with me?? He’s one of the worst in the business. He was horrible on the mic in the WCW and TNA, and he’s equally as horrible in AAA. The problem is that in AAA he has more time.

You think the imports have been good for AAA, but I’ll say that the exports have been hurting AAA. Guys like Teddy Hart and Rocky Romero may be good workers but nobody gives a crap about them, that’s the point. AAA would be better off getting home grown talent that can connect with the audience rather than an import guy who nobody will pay money to see.

  23. @Daniel: Konnan is a great promo. As good as a young Don Muraco, but not on the level of Piper or Jake The Snake.

People would care more if Teddy or Evans would lose their hair in a stip match. You have to do something to make people remember the feud. Sadly, AAA does not see it that way.

Long commercial breaks suck. This is true for any program. AAA would be better off getting back a few
minutes per hour. Haven’t you noticed that they’ve cut back on ring intros? Well, when Latin Lover wrestles, and they don’t show his strip tease intro, then you’ll agree with me that the long commercial breaks are hurting the program.

  24. @LLL: “Well, when Latin Lover wrestles, and they don’t show his strip tease intro”

And now you’ve identified the real reason Daniel has been so unhappy lately.

  25. @CM93

You know, I’ve never disrespected you, why are you disrespecting me? You’re now as much of a piece of shit as Rob.

    @LLL
They always cut back on intros when shows are reduced fromt he 3 hour time slot. I know long commercials suck, there’s not doubt, but the point is that the low ratings are not because of long commercials. It’s like I said, if people were into the show, they wouldn’t stop watching becaue of long commercials…..if the show sucks, however (which it does) then the long commercial may be an extra reason to not watch but it won’t be THE reason

  26. @CM93: anyone’s long promos will hurt. that’s the problem with wrestling today. everyone is doing very long promos. no matter how good you are, you can’t be on the mic for ten minutes every week. people get tired of you, and you say the same shit over and over again.

look at RAW. ratings are kind of weak. every single episode starts with a long, 15 minute promo. one week, they had Jericho out there for 8 mins before HHH interrupted, and spoke for another 8 minutes. AAA is copying RAW, with the long promos.

  27. @thecubsfan: @Daniel: If Televisa would give AAA the industry standard of 44:00 per hour, instead of about 39:00, they could show the intros. 16:00 per hour for advertising is plenty. Televisa fills it with per-inquiry junk. Both AAA and CMLL should find a way to get on Azteca 7, but Vince would probably block it.
