10/16 Arena Mexico – Black Warrior vs Yujiro occasionally live results

SuperLuchas is doing live results, covering the stuff I wasn’t around to listen to. EstadioW seems to have been going for quite some time. Crowd is loud.

CMLL (FRI) 10/16 Arena Mexico
1) Molotov & Starman b Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Amapola, Hiroka, Princesa Sujei b Estrella Mágica, Lluvia, Marcela
3) Hijo del Fantasma, Stuka Jr., Valiente b Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
4) Volador Jr. b Averno [lightning]

As expected, Volador asked for the mask match. Averno decided to distract him by offering a title match too. No one said the name of the title, which makes me believe neither man could remember what title Averno has. It took me a second to remember Averno still had a title.

I wish I hadn’t messed up the poll. Oh well.

Random interesting article to keep you busy in between results. I always tell my groupies not to do interviews, but what are you going to do. (It gets less interesting from there.)

5) Místico, Shocker, Strong Man DQ Atlantis, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero

  • tecnicos win fall one
  • UG fouls Strong Man in fall 2.

6) Yujiro b Black Warrior [hair]

  • Okumura &  Dragon Rojo are seconds.
  • Black Warrior wins a super quick first fall
  • Yujiro wins a slightly longer second fall
  • Warrior started off the third fall with a big dive, which caused the non Julio Cesar Rivera announcer to see how long he could hold a single note. A couple times.
  • Yujiro gets the win to mild boos. Couldn’t have been more than 15 minutes, probably less.
  • Doesn’t seem like they’re doing anything post match. So that’s it.

  1. I’m blanking on many things – but last train is 11:15, right? So they’ve got 25 minutes, and the semimain is still in the ring.

  2. My twitter says TDN got the opener and tercera which means we are pathetic for not having a TDN source yet.

  3. yes. last train is 11:15. they need to do what the Yankees and Mets do, and have five or six empty train go in service when the show ends to accomodate.

  4. @Rob: TDN did get opener and tercera. Tercera was solid, so hopefully it finds its way onto youtube or dvd.

Rey Buc was the guest in the studio on TDN again this week and was looking even more pimptastic than usual.

  5. btw, can someone explain the “Rey del Yogurt” nickname? I always assumed it was something that only made sense on the luchablog until I heard Bucanero use it tonight.

  6. Does Rey Bucanero still have those extra dark circles under his eyes, like he hasn’t slept in weeks? I hope he’s ok.

Yogurt is a great source of protein.

  7. I wish I had gone to FCW television on Thursday. If Alberto Banderas didn’t work, it would be the fourth week in a row that he has not been at the FCW Arena. He’s still not on the roster on the website(many possible reasons why).

  8. @Alan: I forgot about this one. Misterioso just started randomlly “Yoghurt” out during his matches early on, and it stuck. I forget if Yoghurt is a place or just randomness frozen food appreciation.
