GDL results, Oriental out of AAA, Mistico on Negro, Negro on Mistico

CMLL (TUE) 08/25 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Ebola & In Memoria b Idolo & Nube Roja
2) Angel del Mal & Rey Trueno b Angelo & Metatron
3) Neutrón & Palacio Negro DQ Mr. Trueno & Satánico
4) Máscara Mágica & Shigeo Okumura b Mictlán & Rogue
5) Blue Panther, Máximo, Místico b Black Warrior, Dragon Rojo Jr., Sangre Azteca

Mistico got Sangre with La Mistica for the win. Mictlan got destroyed by Mascara Magica, beat so bloody that he had to leave the match. Not exatly sure what Satanico did to get the DQ in his match, but it was enough that the tecnicos were demanding a hair match.

(LuchandoLibre) Oriental has left AAA, and is currently an independent. No word if the Yakuza will get a new third memory or if they’ll just be folded back into the Legion.

(Fuego en el Ring) Mistico talked about his IWGP Junior Heavyweight championship. Mistico notes Negro Casas was going to Japan for 20 years and never got a shot at the title, and he went and won it in 6 months. He liked the crowd in Japan, though he still is feeling the jet lag. Negro’s been accusing Mistico of being scared and running to Japan, but Mistico wants it clear that he’s in Mexico now and Negro better not run. Negro might have been his teacher, but the student always surpasses the teacher.

Mistico has big plans for the Super Sky Team, like winning the trios titles. This turns into a digressing complaining Garza copying his dress pants look and Mictlan stealing his colorful outfits – be innovative like Mistico. Anyway, Mistico would like to see the Super Sky Team to increase to six people, maybe adding Valiente, Astro Boy and “Super Cometa” (oops.) Is this third or fourth time Mistico’s talked about forming his own large group?

(Record) Negro Casas invites everyone to his mask match with Mistico, and his subsquent parade as he takes the mask and puts it on the Angel de Independencia monument. I believe Negro Casas is going to win just as much as I believe he’s going to climb to the top of the statue. This article always says September 18 is the anniversary show.

ESTO has a profile on Rain, about working with AAA.

The Gladiatores has video interviews with el Matematico, Sangre Chicana & Sangre Chicana Jr. and wrestler from Pachuca.

2) Horus, Leono, Starman vs Bronco, Hooligan, Inquisidor
3) Mascara Dorada, Máximo, Metro vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Dr. X, Loco Max
4) Blue Panther, La Sombra, Shocker vs Naito, Ray Mendoza Jr., Yujiro
5) Héctor Garza, Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas [CMLL TRIOS]

I think this is a title match, anyway.

CMLL (TUE) 09/01 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara

2) Divino & Magnum vs Ebola & In Memoria
3) Neutrón & Palacio Negro vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
4) Flash, Mictlán, Stuka Jr. vs Máscara Mágica, Misterioso II, Vangelis
5) Shocker & Toscano vs Terrible & Texano Jr.

Divino appears to be new. Mictlan/Magica continues. Toscano would not be expected to make the main event.

  1. ” Oriental has left AAA, and is currently an independent.” Zorro’s next. “Mictlan stealing his colorful outfits” It’s good to see that I’m not the only one that doesn’t like Mictlan. ” maybe adding Valiente,” Yes! Mistico/Valiente team = awesome!!

  2. Luchando Libre gives check marks without sources, the Oriental is not out of AAA, you may not, now later, Luchando Libre is not half series

  3. In Mexico, no one complains about stealing MOVES~!, but they draw the line when it comes to tight shirts, pants and stripper dance moves! The claws come out if any of that happens…MEOW!

  4. CMLL still has El Oriental’s midcard spot available!;) Actually, I wouldn’t mind him teaming with Pegasso and Rey Cometa or having some matches with Virus again.

  5. on august 9th,here in portland, ore. there was a lucha card that had psicosis,histeria,alebrije/cuije,el oriental, cinthia moreno, rossey moreno, mascarita dorada, and mini ciebrnetico plus local lucha talent.the story goes that the “AAA Talent” are friends with one of the local workers on the card “Mega Boy”,who managed to bring them in.

i got all the “AAA Talent” to sign a box of “AAA” bubblegum(‘cept mini cieber),and got an unmasked oriental to sign a poster for the show.conversation as follows: me:sign my poster? oriental:(looking as how i know it’s him,he’s had blue hair for how many years?!)in espanol:wanna by a mask y tu habla espanol? me:mi esapnol is very bad,and the masks(choice of oriental/psicosis/alebije $150.00 )sorry i can’t afford it.oriental:lookin’kinda dissapointed,o.k. i’ll sign.

card was in a parking lot behind behind a furniture store in s.e. portland. not advertised well at all, except in the latino parts of town.20.00 entrance, not much more than 100 people. ended bout 11:30pm.after the show the “AAA talent” climbed into a van and headed into deep s.e. portland. not to sound creepy but cinthia moreno smelled great.

  6. to John G., he’s about as oriental as the last few “Black Tiger’s”. he’s brother to the moreno sisters, according to the ‘wiki’.

  7. It’s interesting that Oriental leaves less than a week after his sister and THE GREATEST LUCHADOR IN THE HISTORY OF LUCHA Gronda come back. Sorry, had a LA Park moment there.

  8. Poor Oriental.

On a random side note, I was reading my buddy’s Pro Wrestling Illustrated today and was pleased to see Ultimo Guerrero was ranked #10 in the PWI 500.

  9. Well if the promo Kenzo did where he says it’s his turn is anything, i think Los Yakuzas stay as a group away from the Legion. I really like Los Yakuzas, Kenzo is very entertaining and I’ve seen video of Sugi San, and he is off the charts. He is good.

My best guess is that you will probably see KENTA, Marifuji, Kotaro Suzuki and maybe some of Dragon Gates’ best (CIMA?, Doi?) as regular members when they are in Mexico teaming with Sugi and Kenzo. Actually can anyone tell me other than NOAH and Dragon Gate, what other major Japanese promotions does AAA have a relationship with?

  10. As related to above comment:

Or if worse comes to worse,Rocky Romero can re-mask as Black Tiger

  11. @K.D.B_31: I don’t think Dragon Gate has a relationship with AAA. Its been NOAH for the last couple of years. Sugi San was an independent. I could see them maybe trying to get an indy worker out of Japan or just repackaging some Mexican luchador in a Japanese gimmick.

I doubt they’d use the Black Tiger gimmick, but Rocky Romero in a Japanese gimmick wouldn’t be surprising since he’s without a faction at the moment.
