05/20 news

Ovaciones plays catch up today, reporting Shocker failed to win the X Title on Sunday, and going over TripleMania results.

According to the article, TripleMania XIII drew near 20,000 people. Histeria did somehow walk off with the “right to be Psicsosis” documents. Tinieblas Jr. and Tinieblas Sr. were finally face to face at the end of their match, until Pirata Morgan snuck in an low blowed Senior for the DQ.

Though he won’t wrestle till the first Friday of June, Gronda will be at Arena Mexico tonight. He’s supposed to reveal his new outfit and new name, and I’d guess they’d do something to build to his first match.

Next Friday should be Olimpico return to action in Arena Mexico, as long as he feels relatively fine in matches earlier in the week.

Ovaciones has the segunda listed as Dr X./Nitro/Sangre vs Alan/Humming/????, but I still expect the debut of Metro there.

  1. Expect whatever you want, I’ll continue to pray someone smartened up and scrapped the Metro debut or they are quickly putting Zeta in that gimmick. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE GUADALAJARA METRO EVER AGAIN!

  2. Because he has to make some AAA commitments and TNA won’t be able to fly him back for the next PPV?

OR MAYBE HE’S JUMPING TO ENESMA!:O WHERE’S MELTZER?

  3. They’ve switched back to two tapings a PPV cycle, and since his issue with Chris Daniels was neatly wrapped up in the last PPV (*** 1/4 says Meltzer), there’s no immediate need to bring him back until they have an idea for him. I assume he’ll be back next taping (when and for wherever that’ll be) if they have an idea then.

Say, that reminds me: exactly what Team Mexico did TNA want to bring in for the PPV? Abismo was in Japan (though I’d be shocked if they knew that), Juvi and Aguila appear to have WWE deals, Heavy Metal and Garza jumped to CMLL since the last show (and since we never heard otherwise, I presume Garza’s not allowed back in the states) and even if they knew that, they surely knew it was the same day as TripleMania, what with Shocker’s conflicts and all.

I wonder what/who they were thinking. They were probably not thinking, I guess.
