CMLL (MON) 05/27/2019 Arena Puebla [CMLL, Lucha Central]
1) Espíritu Maligno, Guerrero Espacial, Sombra Diabólika b Astro, Centella Roja, Meyer
Rudos took 1/3.
2) El Perverso, Fuerza Chicana, Nitro b King Jaguar, Star Jr., Tigre Rojo Jr.
Rudos took 1/3.
3) El Audaz, Esfinge, Tritón b Ephesto, Luciferno, Tiger
tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas b Carístico, Soberano Jr., Valiente
straight falls. Niebla fouled Caristico, setting up a singles match week.
5) Mephisto & Volador Jr. b Niebla Roja & Terrible [Torneo Increible de Parejas, final]
Mephisto & Volador took 1/3 to win the totally pointless tournament.
Mephisto & Volador talked about the win that even they will have forgotten happened three weeks from now. The show didn’t sound good. CMLL could’ve easily given a random team an opportunity to see if they’d do more, but decided nah.
Maybe tonight’s Arena Mexico show will be better. The main event is Angel de Oro versus Rush, the first time they’ve met in a singles match ever. They’re not natural rivals, and maybe that’ll make for a more interesting match.
The rest of the show is as random as usual. Felino, Templario and Bestia del Ring, three members of separate groups, all team up to face Atlantis, Flyer and Kraneo. Hechicero, Povlora and Vangellys team up to face Audaz, Blue Panther and Guerrero Maya. Star Jr. & Sagrado rematch in a trios following last week’s lightning match draw, with Fuego & Drone, Tiger and Universo 2000 rounding out the best chance for a good trios match.
France’s Aguila Blanca & Dick Riviere make a Nitro-added appearance in the segunda. Aguila Blanca teams with Magia Blanca & Oro Jr. to wrestle Riviere, Akuma, and Nitro. Bengala & Sonic face Inquisidor & Yago in the opener. The show airs on CMLL’s YouTube at 7:30 pm.
Guadalajara has the Guerreros defending the CMLL trios title against the one-off challengers of Caristico, Soberano and Stuka Junior. A title change would be a surprise, but not impossible with Gran Guerrero & Euforia getting another title opportunity on Friday. They’re likely to come out of this week with title belts, it is just not clear which ones.
Marca does not currently know if they’re airing Friday’s show or not.
MLW has Flamita vs Rey Horus on 06/01 outside of Milwaukee. MLW says Flamita will be working more for them after his Dragon Gate tour. Konnan mentioned the same thing about Flamita and Impact on the AAA TV taping.
Pro Wrestling Revolution has Cavernario vs Caristico on 06/22 in San Francisco.
+LuchaTV has a new edition of their YouTubeCast.
Lineups
CMLL (SAT) 06/01/2019 Arena Coliseo
1) Acero & Aéreo vs Pequeño Universo 2000 & Pequeño Violencia
2) Arkalis, Eléctrico, Robin vs El Coyote, Espíritu Negro, Grako
3) Avispa Dorada, Princesa Sugehit, Sanely vs Dalys, La Seductora, Metálica
4) Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Hijo del Villano III [lightning]
5) Kráneo, Stuka Jr., Volcano vs Ephesto, Hechicero, Templario
6) Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Volador Jr. vs Cavernario, Euforia, Gran Guerrero
CMLL doesn’t do midcard feuds unless someone needs retiring or a hair cut, but young Villano III wrestling Guerrero Maya Jr. repeatedly would probably be better for him than just wrestling Atlantis Jr. all the time.
CMLL (SUN) 06/02/2019 Arena México
1) Shockercito & Último Dragóncito vs Mercurio & Pierrothito
2) Lluvia, Marcela, Skadi vs La Comandante, La Seductora, Reyna Isis
3) Atlantis Jr., Blue Panther, Flyer vs Pólvora, Rey Bucanero, Templario
4) Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón vs Kráneo, Stuka Jr., Valiente
5) Soberano Jr. © vs Negro Casas [MEX WELTER]
7th defense
6) Diamante Azul, Místico, Volador Jr. vs Gilbert el Boricua, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
This should be the second episode to air on the TV Mexiquense, with the first episode airing earlier the previous day. Maybe I’ll remember to record it!
I can’t find Negro Casas challenging for this title before, though it’s definitely possible he did a long time ago and we just don’t have a record of it. The last Casas family member to be in a title match for it was Felino – when he was champion in 1992. He won the title on July 5th, then won the CMLL World Welterweight Title 11 days later and ended up vacating this time.
IWRG (THU) 06/06/2019 Arena Naucalpan

2) Eragón, Mr. Leo, Príncipe Aéreo vs Fulgor I, Fulgor II, Séptimo Rayo

5) Dragón Bane vs Fly Warrior
6) Hijo de Canis Lupus & Penta 0M vs Trauma I & Trauma II
Got to book a Thursday show to get a chance at Penta nowadays. The undercard looks fun.
